9.5 Excellent
Pros: Margarita is a fabulous host. She is welcoming, helpful and very informative. Her English is excellent.
Cons: A little variety in the breakfast would be nice, but the food was delicious and healthy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Casa de La Margarita is by far the best Boutique Hotel I have stayed at during my travels through Bolivia. The host Margarita is very passionate, meticulous with everything she does, and so helpful with advice. The rooms are ample in space, sufficient electric power points, adequate lighting, warm and cosy. The bathroom very modern with hot water and good water pressure. Wifi excellent. Location is strategic. The surrounding gardens are well kept with beautiful flowers and plants. It is a tranquil and peaceful place. If I return to Cochambamba it is the only Hotel I will be staying at.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness and helpfulness for anything needed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent attention and exceptional hospitality
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In a quiet area but close to everything, beautiful garden, healthy breakfast and great host
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and friendly place to stay. Excellent location: close to stores and restaurants yet in a quiet neighborhood. The best hot shower with plenty of pressure.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The personal attention here is great, the waitress and the owener are super nice, it is as warm as a house. And super location, quiet room
Cons: Some facility in room need to be maintained, and detailed menu should be prepared as well
9.5 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we walked through the door we felt very welcome. All of the staff were excellent and margarita and her daughter were fantastic hosts. The house had a very homely feel and everything had been thought through with care. The room was large and comfortable, including the bed. The area was lovely and quiet. Great breakfasts. Overall, a fantastic stay!
Cons: Nothig
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, easy location and personalized attention. Margarita went out of her way to address my needs, even moving me to another room after feeling a bit cold at night.
Cons: I’m not keen on having to ring for service to get out but appreciate the extra security.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great showers and breakfast and very friendly staff
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The dorms were set up well with electrical socket and lamp for each bed, as well as a private locker. The breakfast was ok with an egg, bread and cereal.
Cons: The sink in the dorm was in the main room so if anyone wanted to use it the whole room would hear.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything. Dani on reception is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! The beds are super comfortable and the showers are really hot. The restaurant in the hostel is delicious! Just super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again!!
Cons: Was all pretty good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Netflix, living room, wifi, good value, location
Cons: Not much
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great, place was clean and the shower was hot with awesome pressure.
Cons: I had to make the bed.
6.3 Good
Pros: Lockers and plug sockets at bed always handy. Breakfast included (one egg, 2 pieces of bread, cereal and juice) were decent. I was allowed to leave my bag while travelling to Torotoro.
Cons: No lock on female dormitory room or bathroom. I was never asked who I was when entering nor did I have an identifying bracelet despite different staff on shift. Reception is in to the left, so you can walk straight in; it seems anyone could walk in and go upstairs. Blaring loud music played until after 2am across the street when I was there on a Friday. Arrived at 6.30am, I was told check-in wasn’t till 12 -normally fine but after being shown my room (8 beds) only one was occupied and I had to make my own bed (sounds bratty but for the price and the fact I had to wait to check in - they could’ve at least said 9), I was not impressed. Bathrooms wasn’t that clean when I checked in and layer of dust in and around the bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The only fact that Dani is working here gives you a good reason to stay here!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff. Beds very comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Dani from the staff was sooo friendly and helpful! The hostel also provides a small shop where you can buy useful products at cheap prices, like bamboo toothbrushes. There is a bar with a wide selection of beer, laundry service is fast, they also allow you to stay in the lounge and use the showers if you show up before check in time. Rooms are comfortable with plenty of electric sockets. So great!
Cons: Nothing bad. This place is absolutely great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First off: the staff was top notch. Whenever we had a question or needed help, they informed us or helped us out in the best possible way. They were always friendly and professional. Second: the accommodation is what you want from a hostel (excellent beds, lockers with an outlet inside, chill room, terras, hammocks,...). Third: location is perfect! Fourth: jummy brownies
Cons: Perfect is impossible, but all the good wiped out the less good.

Pros: Super comfy bed, strong wifi, great and helpful staff and brilliant location.
Cons: Shower room was actually a wet room so got a bit flooded and breakfast was basic, bit did the job.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This guest house was a haven in a busy city . The central garden created a feeling of tranquility, with flowers and birds . Our room was in the original house , and was spacious and comfortable with a large balcony looking into the trees of the central garden . A shared kitchen and dining area was well equipt and kept spotless , with coffee and tea supplied . Eggs bread , butter , jams were also supplied to make your breakfasts . A short walk to all the most important places of interest + many restaurants and a large supermarket 5 min's away .. El Jardin felt like a home away from home ...a very enjoyable stay .
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a great place in the middle of Cochabamba. It is like an island and somehow it was our home vor several days. The personal was so nice and helpful! I fully recommend this place!
Cons: Some little things could be reinvested. But nevertheless: a great place!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful and gave us great insights and tips on our trip. The bed was comfy, and the room spacious.
Cons: Over the door is a small window through which the light from the entrance door came in all night. Another blackout curtain over that window would solve that problem.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff are friendly and helpful. The set up is nice. In the middle of city, one can enjoy quietness and a pretty garden.
Cons: n/a
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Easy to make yourself at home in this quiet corner of central Cochabamba.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great stay in a perfect location just a few blocks away from the Prado. Very comfortable beds, a kitchen with eggs, bread, fruit, coffee, tea for breakfast. Laundry, wifi, and a beautiful courtyard to relax in. Mika had excellent advice for all sorts of things to do. Will definitely return if I'm back in Cochabamba.

Pros: Really nice hostal. Good breakfast, comfy beds. Friendly staff
Cons: If you are staying downstairs I recommend to use the showers up stairs
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfty beds, good shower, nice staff, good breakfast, nice common area
6.8 Good
Pros: Very comfortable mattresses on sturdy bunk beds. Nice toilet paper. Was able to leave bags in the hostel until check-in after arriving on an early morning bus.
Cons: Please don't put men in women's dorms! A mixed dorm is not what we booked and is a safety concern for some women which is why we specifically book all female dorms. Breakfast was not ready until after 8:45am which is not great when you are wanting to catch a morning bus. Bathroom bins are not emptied daily. Showers are mostly cold with a bit of hot water. Glass doors on bathrooms minimises privacy when the light is on in the bathroom.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hostel looks very good, very modern, very cosy. Great kitchen! Great bathroom! Great dorm! Also a nice garden. Breakfast is the best. You get fresh fruits and eggs.
Cons: It was cold at night because there were barely any blankets.

Cons: Slightly early check out but happy to let me do a late one free of charge
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I only stayed 2 nights at this hostel but I really had a good time. The staff is very friendly and it's easy to meet people during the breakfast or in the common areas. The dorm and common bathroom were clean. I recommend.
Cons: Maybe a bit far from the center. But at the same time it's close to the Christ hill
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, friendly staff, hot shower
Cons: Even though the staff was really nice, we had difficulties in communicating with them (no answer to our mail), often no toilet paper on the toilets and no keys to our lockers in the room (we asked for them but never received them).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel location is far from city which give you peace of mind and pollution free environment. Also, they have ample parking space. Rooms are maintained nicely and quick assistance by team. They have many elevators and which reduce waiting time.
Cons: We stayed in night and was looking for dinner. Firstly, i have not noticed that they charge 20% extra on room service and secondly food was not nice as per expectation. It does not match with the quality of 5 star rating.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing and went beyond their duties.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: friendly helpful staff, large suite room with mountain view, free parking and WiFi, fridge and safe
Cons: No iron available (strange for a conference center), the resort and rooms are a bit outdated (70's stile)

Pros: All the exterior sides of the place. The pool restaurant yacuzzi.
Cons: In the Room two times I had to shower in cold water because there was no hot water. The sliding door for the shower was not working. All the water went to the floor and wet the toilet paper. The quilt was very old. The room needs an upgrade. It was very disappointing

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast! Very nice personnel
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Quiet hotel located about 500m from the Boulevard adjacent to the museum Portales. Beautiful gardens. Good Wifi coverage throughout the property allowing to work out of the garden. Quiet places to conduct interviews or small meetings.
Cons: Insulation may be a bit on the low side. No safe box in room, safe box is at the reception.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room in old colonial-style hotel. The hotel building had lots of character and charm, with classic fabrics, vintage wooden furniture, chandeliers, paintings and tapestries. The ornate dining room had a decadent feel for breakfast.
Cons: The promised airport transfer didn't work out when I arrived. There was nobody to meet me at the airport, though I waited 25 minutes. So I took a cab, which was cheaper, anyway. The few staff I saw at the hotel could not speak English. At night, there were no guests or staff in sight for dinner, when I stayed. I wandered around the deserted hotel & took some pictures (note the absence of people in my shots of the hotel). Then I left to eat at an excellent nearby restaurant.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful atmosphere, lots of quiet places to sit and read, or contemplate life. Decent breakfast. The whole place is unhurried. Looks nice and is nice.
Cons: Quality of towels could be improved for a hotel of this standard.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I like everything about this hotel, nice vintage decoration, charming garden with flowers and fountain. It feels like a beautiful mansion in the colonial period. The outdoor dinning area is right outside our window, we can hear the bird singing during the day. Heater is provided in the room, furniture is also vintage style but fits the hotel’s personality. Very nice stay even the price is higher than most hotels in Cochabamba.
Cons: Nothing I didn’t like!! If something has to be improved, then the shower wasn’t very powerful in our room, really not a big deal. If breakfast can have a some salty choices would be better.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful personnel, nice location with good restaurants and safe area, easy & safe parking, intriguing charme of the old palazzo

7.0 Good
Pros: Early and easy check-in already early in the morning after long night flight, comfy beds. Polite staff.

Pros: the staff was great. We had lots of questions and they were very very eager to find solutions for everything. Wonderful and helpful staff!! We were allowed to store our luggage while we were on a trip to Uyuni. Made things much easier. We had a great stay !
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Its always a joy to come back. From the excellent Front desk staff to the Restaurant waiters and housemaids, all courteous, always willing to help with a smile that makes the day!
Cons: Not their fault, I got an enclosed room. Next time, I'll request a room with a view.
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location. Air conditioning in the room, the staff is good, cleaning is good. Good breakfast!
Cons: I didn't like the price for a basic room with a horrible mattress. The pool was supposed to be tempered but it was cold. Nobody takes care of the pool area and Sauna. I was there last year and when I went back this year it showed lack of maintenance of certain structures throughout the hotel.their hanging drapes were stain, cracked floor tiles. The shower enclosure too small the water splashes outside of the shower area.
6.3 Good
Pros: I was quite disappointed with this hotel. It is advertised as a 5 star hotel, but the rooms are at best a 3 star. I had significant expectations from a 5 start hotel and none of them were met. The breakfast was quite varied and good, however a colleague of mine with whom I had breakfast developed food poisoning so ....
Cons: Room was small, the bed was comfortable. The room was somewhere in the back of the hotel, very bad natural light (my window was facing a wall just 2 meters away) and the kitchen ventilation was just beneath my window (so you can imagine how it smelled in my room). Then the bathroom was very small and crowded) and the bathtub was brownish (not sure if it was not clean enough or it was too old). The internet connection was very bad and unreliable.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room initially provided was not the one we had booked. Upgraded only after complaining. Breakfast excellent!
Cons: No hot water to room one morning for an early start.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great variety, excellent fresh fruits (papaye, mango, strawberries, oranges, kiwi, apple, bananas), perfect omelettes.
Cons: There was no complementary bottle of water and no tea kettle in the room.

7.5 Good
Pros: location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean place
Cons: Very small toilet space (if you sit down, you have a wall right in your face.) Mosquitos.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Allt. Everything. Todo.
Cons: Avståndet från centrum. The distans from the center if the city. La distancia del centro de la ciudad.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Hotel facilities, staff and breakfast was good plus.
Cons: Hotel itself is modern and great and appears to have been recently constructed but the Location is a disaster. Hotel is surrounded by hardware and electecticl stores, auto mechanic workshops, auto parts supply stores and such but no restaurants or grocery stores nearby! It is a good 20 minutes walk to the main square Plaza 14 de Septembre, which is not much to write home about - the plaza was recently renovated but the surrounding area is pretty drab. There are no decent restaurants, coffee or ice cream shopa around the plaza. Really a third rate area. A better bet is to walk few more mins to Plaza Colon - park like setting with flowers etc and right across from there is Calle Jose Ballivian (aka El Prado) - a road with a wide median in the middle with greenery (trees, shrubs, flowers..) and lots of benches to sit and relaxes and traffic watch ( not much of people watching as there are not many pedesriane). Also that's where I found the super market called HiperMaxi -a good 45 mins walk from the hotel. The bathroom in the hotel is little on the small size - not much between the toilet and the facing wall - so need to be careful when getting up so as not to hit the towel rail on the facing wall with your head.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean. And the furniture and the room and all felt modern. I really appreciate that. The staff was very kind and willing to help if I needed anything.
Cons: Nothing really. I had a very comfortable stay.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Simple and clean hotel. Parking spot is close by. Abt 10-15min taxi to the center depends on the traffic. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Bathroom are clean but outside of the room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room is very spacious and comfortable. The beds are great, as well as the showers. Lots of hot water. Breakfast was good. Wifi works very well.
Cons: Location is a bit out of the way. There isnt much around the hotel so grabbing a bite to eat can be a pain.

6.8 Good
Pros: The shower was amazing, by far the best we’ve had in South America. It was super hot and the pressure was great. Also the towels smelled really clean and were nice and soft.
Cons: We found the hostel really noisy, especially first thing in the morning. The staff seemed to be up and about before 7am without much regard for the guests sleeping. The TV was on loud at this time in the morning and also late at night. The window in our room went out onto the hallway which meant that you could hear absolutely everything that was going on. We turned up at 5am as this was the time of the only bus we could get from our previous stop. We sent an email ahead of time informing the hostel; we didn’t receive a reply but assumed as there was a 24hr desk that we would be able to get in. When we turned up, someone eventually answered the door after a couple of times ringing the bell. He was rubbing sleep from his eyes and when I told him we had a reservation he replied that check in was at midday! I tried to explain in Spanglish that our bus had just arrived and that I’d sent an email. After an awkward pause and a few ‘Dios mio’s on his part, he let us in and alllowed us to check in to our room for an extra 70 Bolivianos. The hostel was really cold everywhere, considering how warm it was outside during the day. There was also no fridge space available as stated on booking.com. We found that the hostel was way overpriced compared to other places we’ve stayed in Bolivia. The breakfast wasn’t too bad and there was plenty of tea/coffee available, however it was a lot of bread, cake, donuts etc and could have done with some fruit as an alternative option.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just a great hostel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived at 12am in the morning. As our bus was really late the staff were really accommodating and quickly checked us in they even lent us money to help pay for the taxi as we didn’t have the right change. The rooms are more like a hotel than a hostel, very spacious, super comfy beds and the showers are the best we have had in 8 months! Towels are really soft and new. Breakfast is quite simple they have bread rolls and marmalades and some cheesy rolls, yogurts and lots of tea and juices but it was still nice!

5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was good. The breakfast was good too. The room and bathroom were clean.
Cons: We had a cold shower and the staff didn't check the room or didn't do anything about it. They seemed surprised but apparently we weren't the only ones. We heard music coming from the hall until late in the night.

Pros: It was so great more than I expected.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Veey clean rooms and helpful two young men at the reception
Cons: Breakfast.....no fresh juice and very little fruits at all. Nice to keep a bottle of water in the room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was very well appointed with a welcome view across a grassy block with a few trees. The breakfast was o.k. The central location meant that all the sights in this delightfully warm city were within walking distance.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our room was clean, modern and comfortable. The bed and pillows were nice and the shower was hot with good water pressure. Breakfast was so-so. The staff were generally friendly and helpful.
Cons: Booking.com says there is a "daily maid service" but our room wasn't cleaned in four days. Not a bit deal but we had to ask for more toilet paper. A little bit of a walk (10 minutes or so) to the main square, further to the bars and restaurants in Recoleta.

7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is situated in a good part of Cochabamba. The room and bathroom were clean enough and the breakfast was average to good.
Cons: When checking out, they refused to honor the price we were told we would pay by booking.com. They overcharged 16% and told us booking.com's prices were wrong. So, they get reservations from booking. com but do not honor the prices. Our last stay at Hotel Regina. We cannot recommend to others.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room is nicely furnished. The shower is nice and large. Internet was good enough to have a Whats app video call.
Cons: Only issue is the lack of heating at night. The only place i ever had heating in bolivia was in Potosi, so I think this may be an unrealistic demand/wish in Bolivia.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Location is superb. The rooms are clean, spacious and have a nice view.
Cons: Internet connection (WiFi) was extremely slow and unavailable about 80% of the time when hotel occupancy was high. This is definitely the only aspect of the hotel which needs urgent improvement. There are no smoke detectors and that is (perhaps) why some people smoked in their rooms despite being forbidden. A couple of times the smell of tobacco smoke somehow leaked to our room, possibly through the ventilation/air conditioning shaft, from some other room.
