Ok Expensive for what it was
Closeness to village. Pleasant room We stayed out of season. Staff were not particularly welcoming especially the lady in the restaurant. Perhaps she had a bad day! Had to wait for staff to come on duty to check out and pay bill!
Petit dejeuner was good, with the person in charge working hard to make sure all tables had what they wanted. However, the table settings were incomplete. I think the decor and ambiance of the public rooms is delightfully original. However, it feels as though so much effort has gone into it that little thought has been applied to the rooms. We were not in one of the most expensive rooms, a Charme, I recall.
We loved the feeling of old country France...loved our room and bathroom - felt very luxurious. wi-fi charge - and we got not get on even when we paid
Very close to the centre of the village of Lourmarin. Good car parking facilities. This was the second time that we have stayed at this hotel. As the first time we had to delay our departure to wait for the staff to arrive to pay the bill. The price of breakfast remains at 15 euros per person and this is extortionate for what is available. We did not take breakfast in the hotel this time. If you want to check out late and have a very expensive continental breakfast [that you serve yourself] this is a good hotel.
The hotel decor (public areas and rooms) was unique and fun. Restaurant on site very good - also with great decor. Grounds nicely landscaped. The town absolutely charming.
Location Lack of staff, felt more like staying in a bed & breakfast, lack of attention to detail, breakfast over priced.
Stopover on wine-buying trip to Vacqueras and Gigondas The food in the restaurant was excellent, but service could be friendlier
free upgrade from extremely friendly personnel, amazing location could put a blind onto bathroom window in room 208 as overlooking a children playground
The location in such a pretty town, the attentiveness of the staff, the hotel decor. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. It took ages for the hot water to get hot. This was a waste of water in our opinion and should be easily fixed in this day and age.
Lovely hotel in beautiful village Bathroom needed update
Location and friendly helpful staff. No restaurant or food/beverage service during day/night except breakfast.Issues with hot water, alarm in middle of night because of this.Restaurant used to be very good, but chef has been relocated to another town. They said they are working on it. It could use some updating to a more luxury status.
the rooms were large and very comfortable. we particularly loved the huge bathroom with the double shower in the centre of the room.
I loved the character and ambience of the hotel. Howevert I did notice the plumbing was not concealed. I noticed one evening a strong smell of sewerage which I undestand came from no water in one of the waste pipes. Also the fire alarm on my last morning was a very early wake up call and a little disturbing. But I still have positive feelings about the hotel and recepton staff who were very warm. There was no soap or tissues provided, only liquid shampoo and body cream.
The hotel was very comfortable and the staff very helpfull with assisting us with a rental car issue. We would stay here again. The shower could be improved.
The hotel is well located and the staff were excellent The hotel is overpriced, 4 star cost for rooms essentially 2 star. Carpets are old , worn and dirty. Friends were told spa has not worked for 2 years, safe in one room was loose and not fixed to wall, no shower screen or curtain, no method of holding window open to allow ventilation.
This is an exceptional place, a most unusual conversion from an olive mill. We were originally concerned about the distance to the nearest village, but it is right in the village and only a couple hundred yards from the Chateue, open to the public. The menu / meals, were the best we had in Provence, including the service. Worth every penny. The room was very comfortable, large, and included a mini bar. The petie dejeuner via room service was so amazing I had to take a photograph. How the manage to lug that treat-laden tray up the stairs was a feat in itself, not to mention all the goodies itself. We happened to have booked for the one night of the YEAR that the fair was in town; the main road to the hotel was completely blocked off with bumper cars, carnival booths etc. I walked the length of the fair to locate the hotel on the other side while my husband stayed with the car. The hotel reception was very pleasant and helpful and gave me an alternate route to get to the hotel by car to unload our luggage. Though this obstruction was disturbing at first, it turns out this is the main event in the village for the year. In the evening there was a parade, fireworks over chataue, and dancing in the streets with a non-stop french traveling band until 2 am. The best night of our vacation.
The staff was very attentive, polite, and very responsive, from the cleaning gals to the front desk to the restaurant. The building is an old olive mill so the layout is a little quirky but works nicely. The A/C works reasonably well even during very hot days. Rooms on the village street side can be loud with people going by but windows are efficient and tune out the noise. I would stay there again and recommend it unless you need a pool. The general seating area of the hotel could use some A/C on hot days.
The room was quite big, but the aircondition was a transportable one that made a lot of noise and was located in the kitchen (that was actually a closed balcony) so the kitchen door had to be open. I don't know why its listed as a hotel since the reception desk stays open until 21.00. You cannot check in later since all the stuff vanishes. A bit far away from the interesting villages of the area.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, a little difficult to find in the dark. Very quiet, bar and restaurant closed early, poor facilities arriving late.
Staff friendly and helpful a very pleasant room and a good swimming pool Breakfast was expensive for what was on offer
Location still fine. Compared to a stay one year ago, the hotel definitely has declined in service, alertness of staff and properness. You will find soap and tea bags upon arrival, but they were not renewed during the stay.
Booked 1 night but stayed 2 as we liked the hotel. In a small town that is practically dead on Mondays. Nice and welcome swimming pool. Small hotel so a lot of privacy. We had a 2 room appartment which was quite spacious if a little expensive. Staff very helpful and considerate. Couple of decent restaurants a short walk away - try Le Source - excellent. Hotel handy for the Luberon hills and an easy drive to a number of larger tourist towns. Consider a look at Etang Blonde a short drive away.
Lovely welcome and general friendliness of Madame. Traditional decor of the room. Spaciousness of the room. The view from the window. Good breakfast and availability of local info and newspaper. Enclosed parking. The bed sank in the middle rather a lot!
A nice place to stop if you are passing through provence. Helpful staff. Smoke filled lobby.
Beautiful setting, excellent restaurant, spacious room, car parking. None really!
great location in pretty village; good service
The hotel was in pleasant surroundings and the staff and owners were friendly and helpful.
Logis de L'Etang is an excellent small hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, hot shower, great breakfast (especially the coffee), good price, nice view, and convenient location for visiting small towns of Bonnieux, Lourmarin and others. It has all the comforts of a 3 star hotel.
An excellent location ina lovely village in the Luberon. Very nice and spacious room and very good value with friendly and helpful owner. Delightful.
Location was good and room very big. The reception gives a very bad first impression and the back garden area needs to be maintained. In our room a better shower facility was needed to avoid bathroom flooding.
Cucuron is really nice place and the hotel is very comfy. They made a reservation for us so we could eat at the famous restaurant next door.
Beautiful location, spacious and comfortable room was great with older children, nice breakfast. None
The setting surrounding the hotel. The internet photos of the hotel rooms were far nicer than the room themselves (we had 2 rooms).
The surrounding is beautiful as you can see on the internet site of the Hotel. I loved the Tai decoration. The Restaurant has good Tai food. It is a place for young peoples, which go to bed late as the Restaurant is busy until midnight. The toilet of our room had no door no privacy you may ask for a room with closed toilets. You need a car
The landscape and the garden are very beautiful. Nice little villages in the area. The dinner included in the halfboard was excellent and good value for money. If anything, the rooms are a little small..
Nicely positioned for exploring the south side of Luberon Mountain. Well presented with good gardens and nice pool. Small bedrooms, food (including breakfasts) was disappointing but good restaurants in Curcuron, only 2 k away.
The hotel has a relaxed family atmosphere, in a small but very pretty village, with good facilities for children, and a nice garden. It's a great place to stay, have breakfast on the terrace, lay out by the pool, and then take a short drive into nearby Cucuron for lunch at one of the excellent restaurants there, or up to one of the other beautiful villages in the mountains. I didn't want to leave! It would have benefited from AC in my bedroom, and fly screens on the windows.
The setting, with lovely views and gardens in which to relax.Breakfast was good and it was pleasant to eat it outside on the terrace.
lovely outdoor space, swimming pool rather dated decor
