Great front desk stafg and clean room. Room door had large gap at boyyom allowing too much light and noise inyo room.
Starbucks nearby, Whole Foods within 20 minute drive. Friendly Front Desk attendant. Way over priced. Poor Quality facility all the way around. TV Remote did not work upon arrival, staff did fix it after two attempts. Next door to a Strip Club, loud drunks heard in the middle of the night outside. Breakfast Bar quality very poor.
Affordable, great location, staff was very helpful Wouldn't want to leave hotel- bad area
Clean and comfortable beds. Tile instead of carpet. Nice bedding Air conditioning barely worked, since I checked in late at night at 11pm, I really didn't want to have a maintenance man check in that late but since there were very few rooms left, they would not move us. After midnight, the maintenance man was unable to fix it so he talked with the front desk. After about 20 minutes of waiting I called the front desk myself and they moved us and the AC worked great in that room and had a peaceful night sleep finally!
Price The toilet broke, and we called the desk to get it fixed the first night. 3 days of the stay later, toilet was still Broken. alao one of the beds was wrapped in plastic and the front desk advised not to remove it.
It was a okay place to stop over for the nite, clean but old. Friendly staff and a nice breakfast.
It was OK for the price we payed. Much bigger place then we expected, looked like it was well organized. Clean for the most part, if you don't count ants, spiders and other assorted bugs in the shower. Ants we tried to disregard, spiders we left hoping they will hunt & eat some of the bugs, and the rest we flushed down the drain, numerous times. Very small kitchen area. Internet spotty and often forcing you to re-login (staff blamed this on internet provider). Were locked out at the end of day one (best guess - we were given keys coded for one day only, staff doesn't admit any wrongdoing, blamed problem on batteries inside the door lock .. not convinced). Bugs, lots of them (blame it on Florida?). I manged to forget my jacket in the room while checking out and packing, staff never found it (so they say), and after numerous calls just forgot to call back and confirm it was not found (nothing of great material value was lost, but it sure hurt to lose something and have hotel staff be so blatantly uninterested to help)
Best hotel for a visit to the Everglades
The breakfast was open till 10am. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. It was nice that there was a BBQ area with picnic table. Had trouble with the room keys and the lock looked partially broken.
most of it. I would like to take the opportunity to give thanks to all the personnel at the front desk. nothing.
Room was clean and comfortable, location very good. I felt at ease in area.
Close to eating places Reception staff were helpful. When you open the curtain for light there, anyone walking past can see into your room. Sheer curtain would help
The room was thoroughly cleaned, the pool was fun for my kids, it was a perfect location before heading into the Keys for the day. Breakfast was really good and there was even a covered patio to eat outside. Plus they had discounts at local restaurants for anyone staying there - bonus! There was a plunger in the corner of the bathroom - we didn't need it but it wasn't a good sign and not a good thing to have accessible to my little kids.
Breakfast was a nice treat. Very good selection and tasted good. Noisey neighbors in and out, kept shoes on entire time.
Super clean and well maintained. Great staff.
The accommodations were very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. All of the people that I observed took a great deal of pride in their jobs. Obviously someone has created a wonderful workplace culture. Not a thing!
Clean newly decorated rooms Breakfast was "ok" but free and they did have hot items as well
Breakfast, location Very old property, beds poor
Staff was nice. Continental breakfast was decent. Quiet at night. Not immaculate, but clean enough. Walking distance to food/convenience store/coffee. Didn't have hot water right away but was fixed after a call to main office. Wi-fi didn't work well.
Quiet, clean, comfortable; very close to US-1 and the Florida Turnpike. Close to several restaurants. Staff is very friendly. No complaints.
Great staff, so helpful, the grounds. Styrofoam everything. Please switch to paper!
Cioppino for dinner was overrated and overrpriced (for the quality of food served) - chocolate ice cream dessert was a big disappointment - staff was incredibly accommodating and courteous however, which compensated somewhat. breakfast buffet was great as well.
I stayed at the Ritz Carlton, Key Biscayne with my best girlfriend and it was one of our favorite weekends together thanks to the Ritz! Everything from the valet service to the gorgeous pools and landscape were perfect. Truly a five star experience and I will definitely be returning in the future.
Great new Spa
The breakfast was really good with many choices.
The breakfast selection was excellent. The staff were quite helpful and friendly, check in and out was quick and painless. Room was comfortable. Conveniently located and easy to find, good place to explore the Keys from. No complaints other than the pool could have been a little warmer.
Price, very good for area, had pool, room clean and comfortable. Breakfast one of best we have seen in a while for a continental style.Good location. Need more like this in other areas of Florida, like key west, Orlando, st augustine, Clearwater,
Big, comfortable room. Very nice staff, always greeted us when we passed. Restaurant referral was right on. Clean in all areas. Had to ask for washcloths and hand towels on arrival and they weren't replaced when the room was cleaned. Cleaning staff didn't speak or understand English so it complicated getting the washcloths and hand towels. Breakfast was typical in hotels.
We had a great experience. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Definitely would recommend it to anyone. We will stay there again.
Just staied here a week ago and it was our second time. The hotel is not new, it is laid out more as a motel than an hotel and the outdoors corredors are still from initial build and look old. BUT the loby and rooms seem to have been upgrated with taste and are super confortable. We will stay here every time we are heading to The Everglades or The Keys. Outdoor corredors accessing rooms look a bit run down and AC units leak condensation water into the corredor.
Front desk staff friendly, room nice and clean, breakfast very good, location close to restaurants. I would stay here again.
It was clean and the staff was very helpful Everything was ok
Staff was nice Breakfast was good Lobby was clean Ants in the room all over Dirty room Over priced Terrible cable TV service Shower didn't drain well
Very clean inside and out. All staff was nice and friendly. Had a great breakfast.
Good location not too far off motorway, lots of restaurants and stores to visit. Breakfast better than expected By my definition this is not a hotel it's a motel, and they are charging hotel prices.
The ambiance was very appealing The shower head didn't allow all settings
champagne sunday brunch nothing
This is probably the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in, with European elegance at a reasonable price. We had a delicious meal at the "Fontana" restaurant, and the hotel staff was generally excellent. It is the architectural centerpiece of the Coral Gables neighborhood, and within a short drive of "Miracle Mile" shopping. Oh, and self-parking is free! The room was a bit small, but the view was worth it!
The Biltmore is a wonderful hotel with plenty of amenities and lovely food and service. I was welcomed with a glass of champagne - how wonderful is that?
The structure itself architecuturally is a delight. The service upon arrival was first class and it was a joy to navigate it's various facilities.
Our daughter's fairy tale wedding reception was held here two years ago. My husband and I promised ourselves that we would return for our own romantic stay. We were not disappointed and loved every minute - the luxury, pampering, beautiful grounds, wonderful food. A dream come true!
The staff were great --- the food in most of the venues (except for the pool area) was outstanding. Very enjoyable We have previously always stayed in Miami Beach. The Biltmore is a bit out of the way in Coral Gables. I would recommend it to those with a car, but not so much to those who don't have this option as it is expensive to get around by cabs. The Biltmore does offer a car service for within Coral Gables, but it was often not available. Also, the difference between a regular hotel room and the Junior or Executive suite in my estimation is not worth the extra amount. It would only be worth it if you upgraded to a full suite.
The hotel itself and its quiet and green surroundings. Pool is excellent. The awful and inadequate service at The Fontana Restaurant in the hotel
We love the history, the architecture and the location. We looked forward to this our entire lives! The overall experience was not good. There were no good options for casual dining. Just poolside, with a very limited menu and LOTS of cigar smoke OR the golf club, totally undesirable very man club-ish. We ended up ordering a very pricey pizza and very mediocre Caesar salad in the room. Forget a glass of wine for room service, it was $19.There was grime in the shower exhaust fan and mold on the ceiling shower. ewwww! Some of the property was in disrepair.
The rich history of the hotel. No coffee maker in the room.
Gracious, pleasant, relaxing -- just what I needed after a very busy summer. . I would have liked a simpler, less complicated breakfast.
Love the ambiance and staff service. Great place to stay. Not being able to eat breakfast at cascade during the week. Cascade menu should have more choices.
The hotel itself is very special and very beautiful. It is a completely unique property, one that is a welcome break from all the chains. Both the food and the service at the restaurants were outstanding. Though nearly everything at the hotel was 4-5 star, the room itself was about a 3 star. It was bland and the quality of the bed, furnishings, towels, decor, etc. seemed cheap.
Location was perfect. Rooms looked dated, renovations in the Lobby
Check in staff was friendly and met my request Lobby looked nice Location was close to coral gables downtown and shopping area. Also close to airport Old - needs some renovation but it's definitely good enough to stay in Room was semi-humid Every time I got on an elevator, it wouldn't close. I had to get off, then I learned to press the reset button. Older nice building with needed upgrades
Located walking distance from great restaurants and shopping. Clean, comfortable rooms with a great 5th floor pool!
Old hotel, musty smell throughtout
The hotel was nice and staff was very friendly. There are lots of restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again. Parking was very expensive. We opted for the valet vs. the self park as there was only a small difference. Valet service was lovely. No complimentary beach towels at the pool.
I had a King bed room for one night, and the room was spotless, with a clean and well equipped bathroom, as well as a very comfortable bed. The size of the room was perfect. The hotel is extremely well maintained, in despite of not being a new structure. The location is ideal, not too far from the airport. For the rate I paid, and the quality of treatment I received, I find it a bargain. I will make the Hyatt my place to stay when visiting Miami for a couple of nights, instead of staying near the airport. The best of the hotel, however, is the staff: courteous, amicable, sincerely willing to assist you in any problem. That makes the difference quite often.
Hotels have figured out to send the kayak customers to the worst possible rooms. The room was OK, the location of the hotel is great if you want to walk around miracle mile.
Food was okay, the pool was fine but had too mich clorox They did not specify the check out time and they charged me additional 50$ to check out when I had already paid through expedia 140$ the night. The front desk lady had told me that no additional cost were going to be made, but when I got to my final destination I saw my credit card being charged 50$
Location and nice 1 bedroom room
The location. I was wakened in the morning by noise from the room above me. The room's safe didn't work. The light above the bathroom mirror didn't work, even after the repairman said he had fixed it. The bed pillows were miniature and uncomfortable. The room could use a new paint job and cleaner floors. The Wifi was unable to connect me. The room's view was blocked by a huge machinery shed on the roof.
Bed was poor quality. i cannot understand that the mutiny doesn't oblige its residents to put carpets under chairs and beds. moving chairs make a lot of noise. ive noticed this on several occasions. not sure I will return.
The suite was ideal - good size, clean, all neccessary facilities, good value
Staff was nice and accomodating, had excellent ideas for local excusrions Had to wait until 4 pm to check in. That and they had difficulty getting the rooms clean for other guests from discussions of guests in the lobby who had been there a few days.
Pool and jacuzzi were clean. Rooms comfy but I am not a fan of little half sized pillows. Bed pillows were those half sized ones. Had a hard time getting to sleep.
Rooms were nice, clean, well taken care of. The facility was nice, the breakfast was also good. High crime rate area, the tailgate was stolen off the back of my truck. The front desk didn't do anything about it or claim responsibility for it.
Very clean room with comfortable bed, and good a/c, nice and clean bathroom, convenient mini fridge and microwave. I needed to get some rest and peace of mind, and I was glad to have chosen to stay here. Other places I have stayed at nearby were not this clean and reassuring. If I ever need to stay in the area again, I will stay here. I will probably use a different booking company which was the only problem I encountered, but it is not related to the hotel itself, as they were patient and helpful in dealing with that issue with me. I had a puzzling experience in relation to the booking company, in that my payment to the online booking company went through, but their payment to the hotel did not. Never happened to me with any other online hotel booking company before--very odd. But as I said above, that's not the hotel's fault. The hotel staff were patient in explaining it to me, and professional about dealing with it.
Very clean, excellent value, good breakfast
Everything was good except whole reason I chose this hotel was the jacuzzi and it didn't work because was being painted. You should say it is if it wasnt. I called before booking and was told it was working. The fact the hot tub was shut down.
Location and Price, nice building
Everything. This will always be the place we stay in Homestead. Nothing.
Nicely located from key west, Everglades and restaurants
Super friendly staff, delicious breakfast with nice food options, beautiful pool area, amazing house keeping! The drive to the Keys everyday was a little bit cumbersome with holiday weekend traffic but it was worth the money we saved by staying here!
Found a dirty q-tip on the floor; tells me they didn't clean well...vacuum would pick that up...
Not much. The staff for the most part was pretty rude
The location of the hotel was excellent and the service and amenities were wonderful.
Nice location easy walking distance to what is needed. Paid for internet, sheets were like sand paper.
This place is very fancy, clean, quiet(even though we booked while restorations were being done). It's a like a secluded get away. I loved staying here. The staff and security were very friendly and always spoke when you pass by. You have to pay to park even though you're a guest at the hotel and if you plan on going in and out it cost you more then the overnight $24 fee so if you plan on going out in your car I suggest planning it into your trip.
Conveniently located, for malls shopping, restaurants, night life, conventions, 24-hour gym facility, choice for valet and non-valet parking, etc. business center not part of the hotel when personal laptop/notebook not available for use.
They could not get the AC working properly
very comfortable beds and linens; good size room; concierge
the rooms are very spacious and the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. the charge for Wifi in your room when Wifi in the lobby is for free.
Clean, good service nothing
Everything and everyone was extremely professional. I enjoyed my stay.
Daniel on the evening shift was so very nice with all my questions re: my maltese. He went out of his way to help me. I so appreciated the kind and courteous treatment I received during my 2 day stay while working in Bal Harbour and Coral Gables. Thanks to each and every one of your staff. Leona
The location is phantastic of you prefer to stay off the beach and be close to the shops and cultural offerings of downtown and Coconut Grove. As island location the Hotel has beautiful views and is very quiet. The rooms, bathrooms in particular, show deferred maintenance everywhere. A prime example of a high luxury condo developer walking away after completion and leaving the property under-managed and falling into disrepair. The service at the restaurant Is friendly, but very slow!
The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was big, clean and we loved the fact we had a mini refrigerator n a microwave on the room. The location was perfect, we had gas stations, restaurants and main streets right next to us. We did go around looking for an elevator that we never found. That was the only thing missing.
Pretty clean, nice room Standard (low) Definition TV picture on device capable ofddust aging HDTV. Apparently motels are motivated to buy low definition programming yet equip rooms with Flat Panel HDTVs. Counterintuitive, dissapointing
Had all the amenities and was hundreds less than hotels on the Florida Keys
Overall a good value, and a good launch point before you drive to the Keys.
Great price, the rooms were clean compared to others in the area, has a pool, easy access to road and turnpike.
The room was very tidy and the staff was very friendly. It's a perfect stop. The hallways could use some redecorating if you care about that kind of thing. the doors are a little loud out of the hallways. But it is overall good.
it was a great spot we were on the way to the keys.
Excellent location for business people in homestead. Free but very slow internet, almost unuseful.
Only negative was the ducks. I wanted to eat breakfast on the patio and the ducks were too aggressive to be comfortable.
Clean and convenient to the freeway
The room was spotless and decorated very nicely. Everything was clean and the hotel staff was very nice. The beds, they are TERRIBLE! They are extremely stiff with no give, they need some kind of matress topper to make them even bearable.
I was pleased with my two night stay. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast is served from 0600 to 1000 and it is great. The hotel is at a great location, situated near the Turnpike and close to several nearby restaurants. Hospital down the road. Modern interior, the pool is nice and clean. Price was reasonable. Nothing.
Location is good but any coconut grove location would be good. Free parking is great! A bit grubby. Toilet didn't stop running. Allergies went wild when in the room. Dust? Mold?
Location ,price, A lovely room.Train a street away makes it easy to get around.
Quiet nights sleep. Clean room
Overall the accommodations were nice. The room was in nice shape and was clean. The TV had many channel options and the bathroom was modern. Very well priced for the area that it is in and the room was modern (maybe remodeled in the past 1 or 2). The parking area is small and althought the hotel is technically in Coconut Grove, you are several walking blocks from the restaurant and shopping areas. This hotel is right off of US 1, so the traffic is hectic during rush hour times.
Room comfort - location Staff did not communicate properly with in-house services
Cleanliness of bedroom and bathroom Lobby
Very comfortable, quiet, good bed and room. Top rooms are best. Second time I stay here, and its far better than anything else in Miami for the price and comfort.
It was clean neat and close to the metrolink and walking distance to coconut grove and the breakfast was good
very welcoming staff who really looked after us - so many extras great breakfast was very good, too.
all the little extras were included, good breakfast, 24 hr coffee and tea, fresh cookies in the evening, newspapers and business centre
Staff was very helpful. Private parking lot, good wireless internet, nice, roomy renovated bedrooms. Breakfast is good but could be better.
WiFi and breakfast is very good Nothing
I didn't like how in any moment was mention me having to be 21 to check in when I usually travel I only have to be 18. I am a 20 year old who traveled on business terms but brought my wife and sisters who almost ended up being homeless if it weren't for a cheap motel...
Rooms were large, with comfortable bedding, and ample closet, but bathroom could use a bit more space. For the location just a couple of blocks from Alhambra Circle and Coral Way, and easily accessible to MIA, the rates are a great value. Found and killed a tiny cockroach as soon as we walked in the room. Common in Miami, and didn't see any others indoors afterwards, but didn't give a good first impression. Otherwise, they'd have gotten a higher rating.
Clean rooms. Friendly staff. No balconys.
Facilities were great. Excellent location. The staff was amazing!
The staff was the best. So friendly yet professional. We didn't like the pool and were disappointed. Definitely needs a remodeling. Too out there in the parking lot in the sun. Needs some canopies and foliage.
Location was great, so many nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. Room was large and clean, kitchen was well equipped. Breakfast buffet had a nice variety of choices. I paid for my stay when I booked it through Kayak. After coming home I realized the hotel charged me AGAIN when I checked in. It took 3 calls for the hotel to admit they had made a mistake and refund my card. Pretty big error that really tainted our otherwise pleasant experience. Our 3 room cards all deactivated on our second day. We tried one immediately upon getting them fixed at the front desk and it did not work.. Another deactivated again after we made extremely cautious efforts to keep it away from phones and credit cards.
