Cons: They put a very attractive price but didn't mention that you had to pick up.the car at miami downtown vs airport. Ridiculous

My experience at hertz
Pros: I like how fast and easy it was to pick up and return
.i also like how fast the deposit was refunded .
Cons: That they give me a rental which check engine light was on and the brakes was slipping. The rental company was located 45 min away from my hotel so it was a big inconvience to return it.

CAR WAS NOT READY AT PICK UP TIME. WAITED 3 HOURS
Cons: Car needed oil change and had to wait 3 hours to get car. Rented a med size SUV and even though there were other SUV on lot, manager wouldn't give us another because claimed it was another class level. Horrific manager. I tried to file complaints, they said would call back but the company never did. DO NOT RENT WITH HERTZ!!

I got screwed
Pros: Kayak made the reservation for the wrong pick up location, so that by the time I got to the airport rental center Hertz refused to honor my rate OR reservation and wanted to charge me 3x what I had reserved the car for. I had to call Hertz Corporate to cancel my reservation, and rent from a different company to get a fair rate. I was told by Hertz Corporate that they have had a lot of trouble with sites like Kayak screwing up the reservations. Not doing this again. Kayak was no help at all

Cons: Ordered vehicle for 24 hours for Miami Airport. At the airport I was advised rental was offsite - 17 miles, one hour and $69 taxi ride away!
At offsite location no cars were available.
To be able to return vehicle to the airport, and avoid returning to the offsite location, with another extra 2 hours of travel and another $69 taxi ride, I had to create a new reservation which cost $107.03.
By this time it was too late to cancel the original reservation, which was PrePaid!
I ended up paying the original prepaid reservation of $22.20, a taxi of $69, and the new reservation - total $200 for something that should have cost under $30.

Pros: The car was nice
Cons: I was told there would be no more charges when I booked it then at airport when I picked up car $80.00 plus was charged to me but never told at the desk. The gentleman who waited on me was not helpful but interested in everything else around him but my transaction.
Cons: They are not smart enough to to know that if heavily booked at the airport location to transfer cars from their remote locations to cover that demand. They could have rented at least 15-20 more cars. bad management.

Pros: Customer service was excellent and quick. The staff was very proffesional and helpful.
Cons: I made a reservation online and when I called to let them know I was on my way then they had given my vehicle to someone else and had nothing left for me. So making the reservationwas a waste of time. Also the guy who answered at the CUTLER BAY 9828 SW 184TH STREET in the MIAMI location was very very rude, unprofessional and kept talking over me saying "call corporate. Call corporate. I already told you, call corporate"
