Pros. Everything was amazing about my stay here from check-in until check-out. The front desk attendant Casey was very attentive, and extremely helpful. She gave me excellent information about places to visit being that it was my first time in San Francisco. Even upon check-out Casey held my luggage while I did some last minute exploring before my flight left in the evening. This was an all around great trip, and I am looking forward to planning my next trip, and stay in San Francisco at the Alpine Inn & Suites. Thank you again Casey for the exemplary customer service.
Pros. I kind of just like that each room is different. They have colorful linens and curtains, and layout changes with each room too. I stay here quite often--if you can't tell from the above--whenever I'm in town for work stuff. It's super convenient coming to/from the airport, and is a reasonable commute to work (San Mateo) too. The best part is the neighborhood. It's so tucked up and out of the way--nothing else around--that I regularly leave my truck unlocked outside and nobody messes with it. It's hard to find that anywhere else in the City. Clean bathrooms. Comfy beds. Peace of mind. And a reasonable price. What's not to like?
Cons. There's almost nothing within walking distance, and it's on a hill--so this is not a party-central spot for a weekender in the city. More of a commuter's lodge.
Pros. Parking was right out front
Cons. very cold floors. very loud AC/heater units
Pros. Service and breakfast was great
Cons. Little old unit but you get what you pay
