Comfortable and very clean Great location, very close to the park entrance Shuttles and tours pick up right from here Variety of great places to eat on campus, with others next door and across the street Beautiful setting No wifi in the rooms
The room was large and comfortable and the staff was AMAZING! Parking was a bit far from our room.
The "square" was relaxing with great music, ambience and really good food. The solo singer/guitarist, Tim, is a super entertainer with a great voice.
Location in relation to the park, just 1.5mi to the north of the park entrance. Upon check in, they charge you with a deposit in addition to the room rate, which I had already paid in full prior to my arrival. The staff is useless. They confirmed with me on check-in that there was three people staying, yet only provided 2 sets of towels. I called the front desk and they informed me that you had to come to the front desk as no one was working the desk in the lodge I was staying in. Which was no problem for me, but keep in mind that there's no parking at any of their buildings, so you have to wait for the shuttle or walk to the main building. Upon arrival at the front desk, they tell me that they don't have any towels at the front desk (not too sure why they needed me to come to the front desk then), and they proceeded to ask me why I needed towels and then when would I like them, and I explained that I would like a set now to which they responded that they would make a phone call. After leaving the front desk, I just so happened to catch one of the housekeepers in the hallway of my building, and she was able to provide me with what I needed. Lastly, for a lodge that charges a crap ton of money per night to stay, it's pretty sad that don't have WiFi anywhere except for the main lobby.
The rooms are more spacious than princess lodge, you get more for your money for sure. Just prepare for early check out. Why is the check out time 10am? Most places is 11 or noon. If you have kids you can be getting up early to get ready and rush to check out considering the places to rent a room are a ways away from the main lodge.. Should change the time.
Friendly staff! Great rooms! Restaurant was awesome!
Very utilitarian. Thought we were getting queen size beds and had to deal with doubles. Very disappointing for the money paid.
Location was great and scenery spectacular. Food was average. Staff was excellent and responsive to requests. Rooms are small, noise from adjoining rooms can be an issue. We first arrived on Saturday evening and got into our room in I105 and almost asleep after a long day when the family with very small rambunctious children in I205 started running and jumping and screaming. The room amplified the sound and it caused a real issue. After calling the front desk to see if they could reach out to the family, the adult male hung up the phone and started jumping as well. I suppose he wanted to set the example for his children on how to be more annoying. After the desk called me back to tell me they had talked to him, I let them know the situation had only been made worse. The hotel or the guests even should have realized that traveling with small children can be difficult and probably best to be on a ground floor. Fortunately the hotel had another room though in a different building that we had to drive down the hill to reach and then walk about a quarter mile to but it was worth the hassle. Nice and quiet and clean.
Good Location, Clean, comfortable room, Friendly environment,!
perfect view from terrace For a hotel, the staff is not refined
The location/view and proximity to Denali park are great. It is a motel and is pretty simple but clean. Rooms are very small.
Clean and comfortable. Little expensive , but made reservation late!
Room was clean and efficient. Food was not very good and the staff although pleasant enough was summer help and not very skillful
The staff was great... The tour person from FL was the best help in Alaska. She was excellent.. NO AC!!! Need AC in the early months of summer..
Location and services offered. Nothing
The proximity to the park entrance is great, not even one mile south of the park. The best thing is the view, spend he extra 25 bucks and get the room with the valley view, it is spectacular, probably the best view from a hotel that I've ever stayed at. The hotel itself is basic, very few TV channels, no pool, which isn't to bad since you will be out most of the day.
Nice room. Quiet. Pretty quilts on the beds. No air conditioning, although an open window turned to be adequate. Very limited continental breakfast, no decaf coffee, only non-dairy creamer. Free WiFi, but slow connection. Refrigerator and microwave in room. Good value for the price considering location near Denali National Park. Price a little high.
