I had a great experience at the Crowne Plaza New Orleans Airport. I was looking for a clean room and hotel at a reasonable price for one night. I chose this hotel, which is very close to the airport, and it was much nicer than I expected. The staff was friendly and the room was really nice and clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Convenient location of the hotel, near the airport (we arrived from a long trip) we have appreciated the quietness of the room. Silence is too often overlooked. Beds were good. Furniture and general ambience of the room not very "fresh" and "gay"
Great breakfasts in the morning, most staff we ran into was friendly, good location to freeways, cleaning staff was very friendly and came to see us right away in the morning to see what we needed. Lemon water in lobby was always refreshing Pool is not heated so couldn't go swimming Ran into one gentleman who was cleaning who never smiled or said hello. He just always looked mad at you.

Unfortunately we didn't know that the week we wanted to go to New Orleans was one of the busiest in the year. Many places were booked out. We chose this hotel based on a price, not realising that it is miles out of town and cost us at least $25.00 each way for taxis to get to town. The hotel is a nice place with swimming pool etc and would be great for a family with a car. It puts on a great breakfast each morning. Noisy air conditioner.
Hotel seems to be more on the lines of for business trip only. The room was okay for the money; however, I would not stay again. I was charged twice for my stay, but the staff did help as best they could to correct that wrong. The cleanliness was not all great. The pictures online really don't match what you see on arrival. The carpet should be cleaned or changed and the room smelled sort of old. The location is good. I was able to get to everything within minutes.

I enjoyed the quietness, spaceousness and cleanliness of our room. It was a real treat for my daughter and myself to have two kingsized beds and two vanity areas. Also we were less than ten minutes to our destination, the Beth Moore Conference.
The room was clean and nice. The bathroom was very large. The bed was very comfortable. The walls are paper thin. We could hear normal talking in the next room. The TV remote worked very poorly.
The maid came barging into the room at 845am and told me where to leave her tip. I will not ever be back.
The people who work there were so rude to the customers. Cleaning service was so bad. I asked them to clean our room when i was out for touring, but when i came back, they PRETENDED like they cleaned the room but saw dirty stuff everywhere and, very rude to the customers. I would not recommend the hotel for whoever wants to go to New Orleans.
The room was clean and comfortable. We checked in at 4pm and 1 of our room was not ready. The staff informed she can get us another room but it will not have a double bed. We did not want to wait 1-2 hours so we agreed. Not once through that whole conversation did we get an apology for the inconvinience. The staff informed us the room was paid through booking.com and requested a credit card for incidentals. However, the card was charged at the end of the stay and a different staff informed us booking.com did not charged us initially. We had to get the payment switched to the card we initially thought was charged on booking.com Also, we had to get a pass every single day to use the fitness and pool.
The hotel decor was awesome. You got a luxury feel, for non luxury price!! The hotel was out of King rooms. And since our room was either king or double, we were stuck with a double. My wife and I just pushed the beds together. We made the best out of the situation!!
Comfortable bed, clean room, decent concierge lounge, restaurant service was quick and pleasant. Front desk was busy so even though I mobile checked-in, I had to wait . I also asked about UPS shipping and the early morning group couldn't help me. I had to wait for the day time crew. The room seemed worn and like it needs updating. The coffee shop on the main floor (part of the hotel) was out of soy milk all three days I stayed at the hotel. Very disappointing.
Good price and convenient to Metairie and the North Shore...I'd recommend for a business stay. Cool hotel bar. For leisure there are better places, closer to New Orleans. It's the small things that make or break this hotel. The room was nice and comfy enough but our room service breakfast menu had clearly been written in by the previous guest. The carpets in the halls are coming up--we tripped a few times. My 'favorite' part of the stay was when I checked in and the Front Desk Agent asked if we were familiar with the area. When I told her that we were from Metairie and were just 'hanging out' for the weekend she made a face and said, "Hm. Well some of us just aren't able." Not my fault she's bitter about working at a front desk.
The facility is fine. Reasonably new and at one time would have been considered upscale. The staff was by far the worst. Dishes remained in the hall from other rooms. They never serviced the room for overnight and when I went to talk to the cleaning staff they did not speak English. People in general were grumpy. It was a weekend and I do not generally travel on weekends. So maybe they just don't like working weekends.
Quiet, away from all the craziness of the French Quarter. Rooms were clean and the view of the lake was amazing. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The pool was also very nice as was the restaurant.

Location. No sound insulation whatsoever. Noisiest room I have ever stayed in. No amenities, not a bottle of water or a cup of coffee in the lobby at these prices? Ridiculous. We were put in a handicapped accessible room without being told. So we had the tub with hand held shower and a single sink etc. just an overall cheap experience. Not up to Marriott hotel standards.

The location to the airport, cleanliness of the room I had to wait 30 minutes at the airport for the shuttle to finally come and pick me up to drive me to the hotel. I had to call three times and never got an explanation as to why the shuttle was running so late. Other hotels had already ran two to three shuttles before the La Quinta shuttle arrived. The elevator in this building is very old, very small, and very slow moving. If there is one thing in this building that shows its true age it's the elevator which is something out of the 1970s. Everything else is up to date but having a room on the top floor was such a hassle when waiting for the elevator took so long and then getting the elevator to the bottom (or top) floor took just as long. Also it's very tiny and cramped so sometimes you had to wait for two elevators to finally get on because of people with their luggage.
My wife and I frequent this hotel because we know exactly what to expect. Great value, friendly staff, and very nice rooms.
We booked our reservations months in advance and when we got there we were told they were over booked. They made us go to another hotel 45 mins away. I was very upset and not a good way to stay a vacation.
Everything was actually wonderful. We got in really late and check in was very quick and easy. The staff was very helpful and nice. I would go back there without thinking twice.

The pillows, not the typical size we buy at dept. Store. THESE were cut half way, no shams, I am not exaggerating, I swear, you could see the little cotton inside. We literally slept sitting down. The bathroom so dated, crusty metal everywhere. The drywall cover by wallpaper, you could touch where there was no drywall. I completely understand that maybe its under renovation after Catrina (5yrs ago) but its putting the business to failure. Ramada is a big chain and cannot invest on this hotel!!! Emberresing. end floor was being worked on and we had no heads up. I guess since I booked on kayak, I was assigned to that particular floor.Bathtub was leaking from the side. Was only there for one night and was to tired to deal with the back and fourth.
Not much other than the location. The staff was horrible, extremely dude and unhelpful. It wasn't just one of the staff, where there for 4 days and most of the front end staff was rude when asking for help or to deal with issues. We were not able to check in until 4pm. Hot water in the room didn't work constantly had to call and have them fix the boiler. No counter space in the bathroom, dingy and run down, facets messed up and needed replacement. Extremely slow elevator. No continental breakfast, they claim you get a free breakfast at the attached IHOP but all it is a muffin and a coffee.

It was an inexpensive place to stay and came with all the standard suite amenities, such as safe, coffee pot, microwave, and refrigerator. Did not use the pool and can't comment on that. Everything was very dated and in need of replacement or deep-cleaning. The room was supposedly non-smoking, but smelled of cigarettes. The carpet was grimy and the sofa had probably been there since the 80's. The first night there had no hot water in the bathroom. The hotel was also under renovation when we stayed and there were half-painted walls everywhere. Hopefully the renovation will help in the long run.
Very reasonable price and good location. Should have been told my room was over the room with the washing machines. I didn't mind the noise just thought it was weird they didn't mention it. Once I knew where the noise was coming from, I was fine with it. Also...bathroom doors don't have locks. This would have been uncomfortable situation if I had brought a friend.

Absolutely nothing. No hot water at bathroom faucet. Heavy smoke odor. No bathroom exhaust fan. Open outside access doors 24 hrs a day. Room safe didn't work. Peeling tub. Fire alarm went off and manager stated unknown reason. Blood suspected on sheets.
Nothing They never clean the room, we found 2 roaches and the staff didn't care. There was never a manager to speak to and employee didn't care. No privacy at the room, House Keeping was rude and wake us up for nothing Overall the experience was awful and the worst of my life. I will recommend and I will write to Wyndham to check this hotel because it doesn't represent their chain at all. We have stay at many other Hotels and this experience I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I will ask for a money refund.... We have to end our stay earlier because we could not resist the bad service and poor maintenance of this hotel.
Nothing They gave us ear plugs on arrival,they were under rentavation,which you did not let us know. The room smelt bad, the carpet was dirty. Turned on the heat and the fire detector went off. We had to call security in the middle of the night, someone keep knocking on our door. The front desk young lady was un accommodating and had no idea what the words "commitment to excellence "meant. Not only were they doing a $5 million rentavation , they need to upgrade there personnel. We overlooked the dates and was supposed to be there for 2 nights,so to our dismay, we were locked out of our room at 10:00 pm. We were informed we could not stay another night. Had to pay late check out fee. You should have never booked us at that hotel.

The friendliness of all staff and how helpful they were to us at all times. We would definitely stay there again. Maybe a little long walk to the restaurant area on the Riverwalk but you can't move the hotel! Stoll will stay there again!
We booked 2 rooms but when we checked in, somehow the front desk staff only found one room reserved. It took a while for them to get things straightened out, but she was nice and helpful in finding us 2 rooms on the same floor. We waited about 40 minutes for our rooms. Beds and pillows were comfortable. One of the room we had did not have a small refrigerator or microwave. The inside door handle fells off but was fixed immediately. There also seems to be a missing chair in the room as well. Not enough towels in the bathroom and no hair dryer. Carpet was kinda nappy and old.
the staff and management were very accommodating this is an old hotel that was recently "renovated" however it's a dump. Had to change rooms twice because my first room had a sewage like stench coming from the bathroom. Then got moved and my new room smelled like urine and the carpet was wet. Had to checkout early and go to another hotel.
Was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised, location is excellent as far as located next to anything and everything you could possibly need. Outside French quarters though, took us about 25 minutes with traffic to get downtown. If your looking to not spend a lot of money and still stay somewhere clean and in a good location it's definetely affordable and worth it. Also parking is free as well as wifi. I would stay again.

When we arrived late Thursday October 6, we registered and went to our room. The front desk person was warm and receptive. The room appeared odd as all of the drawers were open and the heater was on at 85 degrees. This is New Orleans. We always do a bedbug check and for the first time ever we found bedbugs. A large one was crawling on the bed skirt. We immediately caught it, placed it in a cup and got out of there! We showed the bug to the clerk who frankly appeared completely unsurprised. She placed a Kleenex over the bug and told us she was informing kayak to refund our money. We have seen no refund as of yet. DO NOT STAY HERE.
Close To Airport Room was not cleaned very well
Had to use room key to park in rear of property which is building I was housed. I-Hop located on premises. Room seemed not clean, drapes had mildew stains, I wiped down the room with Clorox disinfecting wipes, door lock seemed to have paint overspray but door was not freshly painted. Towels very thin stayed wet after one hand drying. Clothes rack needs to be replaced rusty and room had not been dusted in some time. Would not have wanted to stay if spouse and kids were with me.
Location and price very good and the front desk staff was extremely nice. Old appliances in room. Heating unit was blowing cold only, maint fixed but was very loud when on.

My room was clean and cool with 2 double beds, fridge and microwave. Shower worked fine. Money lost in vending machine promptly refunded. Handy airport shuttle and restaurant next door. The staff are outstanding. I had a great stay Jets got a little loud, but what did I expect? The gate for the rear parking lot wouldn't work.
was stuck in a smoking room. staff did all they could to make me comfortable, but the smell combined with lots of noise (sirens, boat horns, etc.) made sleeping very difficult. Would probably just sleep in the airport instead next time.

My mom & I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express June 30th to July 2nd for the Essence Fest. The hotel was very clean. Check in was smooth. Hot breakfast was good. The location was perfect. We were 20 mins away from everything & the I-10 freeway is very close & takes you everywhere. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Louisiana. No complaints.

The rate was good. The room was basic but adequate. The property was reasonably well kept. Both the maintenance and the cleaning staff would do well to pay more attention to details. The tub drained very slowly in my room. Parking is INADEQUATE.

This hotel is well located for those seeking close proximity to MSY. We had a 7 o'clock flight and the hotel shuttle took 5 minutes to get us to the airport departures for check in. The hotel is good quality, reliably Hilton. The lighting in the lobby was cold harsh white fluorescent. Felt more like a Walmart. Please warm it up!

Great staff, great bar and restaurant. Clean room and very comfortable bed, lots of amenities except for the WiFi. Had to pay for the WiFi. In this day and age that is ridiculous especially considering the cost per night. Also when in the bathroom you could easily hear the guests in the next room.
This hotel was great. I had an early morning flight, so having the shuttle service and being so close to the airport was great for me. The room was clean and the air conditioning was fabulous.
This was prefect for my stayover between flights, with an efficient airport shuttle and nice staff. The barman ( Darren , I think...with the red hair) was exceptional .

Easy access. Right next to the freeway. Not far from the airport. They have great pictures on line. I booked on kayak and the pictures there were amazing. It's right next to the freeway. No views and nonstop traffic. The building seems old, dated, and stereotypical near airport crappy motel vibe.

Location Requested non smoking room the room smelled smoke even when was clean. When booked room I spent extra money for pillow top mattress there is none in the hotel and the Is No hand held shower. The way it read only up grade rooms had fridge and microwave in them every room has them.

When the door was closed to the room you could see outside around the bottom of the door. Trash can had a used CONDOM wrapper in it along with a CRACK PIPE. Constant traffic walking outside the room making noise. Someone trying to get into my room through the adjoining room door at 3am. Interstate traffic noise kept me up all night long. Worst Hotel stay I've ever had!!!!!
The beds were comfortable and the selection on television was good. How loud the noise was outside from the hotel. How rude the manager on duty was she was very arrogant and self absorbed to not even be able to greet us when walking in and had to stand there and wait for the front desk lady to check us in although there were several people behind the desk. The elevator was rather terrifying. &The "gym" had three cardio machine which two of them were broken. &The bathroom was very oddly laid out and very uncomfortable. Also, the housekeeping should really knock before they just enter a room, very disturbing that at 5pm there's housekeeping just walking into our room while we were in there
Our room was exactly as we wanted and the staff were active every minute to see that everything was in order. The Reception/Breakfast areas had recently been painted(no smell but nice and clean) and there were very nice plants around the place. The manager was over- board with service. All in all a great place. We spent 4 days in all!
Close to airport I called Red Roof Inn before booking to ask about their shuttle to the airport (our flight had been canceled 3 times so I wanted to make sure there were no issues getting to the airport in the morning). I was told they had shuttles every hour on the hour so with that information I booked the room. Once I got there I just happened to see a sign in sheet for the shuttle and it didn't start running until 5am. Our flight was at 6:15am so I was planning on taking the 4am shuttle. I would not have booked the hotel if I had known about the shuttle, that's why I called ahead of time and feel like I was mislead. We ended up having to get a taxi to the airport. Room did not smell good.

It is well located. It wasn't clean. The elevators were full of trash. The employees in the reception were not kind. The worst part was the bathroom inside the room. The faucet wasn't working. The shower pressure was a mess.
It was close to the NO air port , ( between 5 & 10 min) but not too close that you get the noise or the higher price of being right at the air port. I would stay there again. Pillows were too small and there isn't much around in walking distance .

We would certainly recommend this hotel to friends. Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. We had arrived way before check in time after being on a cruise. We were offered a secure place to store our luggage, they made sure our rooms were the first ones cleaned. We certainly appreciated that more than anyone knows. Drinks and snacks were offered too. This is by far one of the most accommodating hotels we have ever stayed at......kudos to the staff everything was perfect and we had a great day relaxing.....

Loved the staff they were very friendly ! Loved the pool! Room was decent. Restaurant attached was terrible and over priced even with holiday inn member card discount. I wish there was a microwave in the room. And more space in the room. Restaurant , lighting in the bathroom was very dull. The room was small very tight and needed a microwave.

I was there for 2 nights on business and prefer to stay in the Metairie area. My usual hotel had lost their mind on the rate they wanted, so I looked for a cheaper alternative and the Sleep Inn was well priced. Staff was very nice, room was clean and well equipped and the location was perfect for me. I'm not a breakfast person, but it looked good and they had yogurt and bagels so I was happy. Overall, it is a good value for this time of year and a very nice property. Because I spend 60+ nights a year in hotels for business. I usually have to spend time in the evening and early in the morning at the desk in the room. Why do some hotels have to put the cheapest, most uncomfortable chairs at their desks? I would rather have a straight back armless chair than that torture chair they had in the room.

They let us check in early as we were driving from out of state. They also let us see the room before checking in. They have complimentary breakfast and if you can't make it in time you can get a brown bag prepared for you after filling out a form and pick up at any time. They cleaned our room really really late so we could sleep in. Staff was kind, helpful, accommodating and checking in and out was simple.
Provided great service, to and from rental car pickup and dropoff. Very accommodating, Staff was very wonderful, professional and courteous. Hotel was doing some minor remodeling. Causing us to change rooms 3 times. 1 for the construction 1 for the air freshener used was to strong. And the last room was good.
