Pros:The first nights room that we booked through the hotel was beautiful and clean.
Cons:We stayed 2 nights. First night booked through casino. 2nd night through the site. First night room was beautiful. Recently upgraded. Clean. Got into our room by 12pm. Second night room was supposed to be vip and upgrade. We couldn’t get in until 4pm and staff was not pleased that we kept checking to see if it was. Floor had food on it. Wasn’t upgraded and looked like it hadn’t been redecorated in years. Thermostat was out of control. We paid a lot of money for a few jets in the bathtub and a subpar room. Knowing that they had really nice base rooms available and then knowing we had paid extra for this shoddy corner room - I wouldn’t do it again. When I called the desk to complain the second night, the boy who answered said all the rooms were delux and the same. I didn’t want to argue. We just won’t use the site to book anymore.

Pros:I loved the restaurants especially the diner in the hotel , the servers were the best I've ever had!Which is saying alot since I was a server for 8 years , the food was amazing as well , you get so much! One hotel deck employee went above and beyond to make me happy after we had some serious concerns about our room! Also valet was great , very friendly and went above what they had to go help me out! Room service was also great ,so friendly !
Cons:MY room was so nasty , I stay in 5 star hotels anytime me and my wife go out and never have seen a room so nasty! I don't think anyone has dusted since the hotel opened! Hair on th the bathroom floor , in tub and shower ( it was not mine) !!! Sunflower seeds on carpet as well as crumbs (again not from me) food on the table , no suger for coffee and only 1 cup! The fridge would not get cold , I figured out why ( it's on a TIMER yes a TIMER) can you say cheap!!! Then the bed had hair in it (not mine) sheets looked liked they had not been washed! I did not even want to sit because everything was so gross !!! Chair at desk even had coffee dripped all over it, tile floor was caked full of black grime!!!! Hotel elevator and rooms floor smelled like pot , neighbors were so very loud! To get a clean room you must have to pay extra to get a floor higher in the executive level! This was my first time in Detroit and if I based if I would go back off of what my room was like it would be a 100% Hel l No! But I loved the atmosphere and restaurants and the city is beautiful , so I would go back just not ever stay here again! Heads up i am a smoker but my wife is not , I hate the smell of smoke any everywhere in the hotel smells like one big ashtray! Management really needs to step up and check on rooms before guests arrive and let go of employees who clearly cannot do there jobs!!!

Pros:The room was a amazing. The bathroom was beautiful. Bed was comfortable. Overall it was a Pleasent stay.
Cons:You could hear the people coming and going through out the night. Slamming the doors. And there were little black flies, almost like fruit flies, flying around in the bathroom and bedroom.

Cons:I wish there would have been a small refrigerator for our own drinks and leftover food we had from dinner. Food had to sit out all night and spoiled.
