Pros: Very friendly and welcoming hosts! Awesome breakfast!!!!! Nice view from terrace on the roof!
Cons: Our room was pretty small. Hardly any room for our luggage. The bed made up around 90% of the room.
Pros: They were quick to respond to our request, we weren't sure of the location and the owner was ready to come and get us.. He showed consistent professionalism and they made us feel comfortable
Pros: The breakfast was good fresh and serve with a smile
Cons: Everything was great
Pros: My bed was super comfy! I got some of the best sleep I’ve had in a long time!
Cons: It is not in walking distance to anything. Either rent a car or set up transportation. Fortunately, the owner provides transportation.
Cons: Road conditions to get to the location
Pros: Excellent all round view from the rooftop terrace superb for having your breakfast or a quiet drink
Pros: The owners, Mr and Mrs Bailey are welcoming, humble, and are great host. They go over and beyond, the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. This bed and breakfast has an open roof, and is perfect for relaxing early mornings, or late at night. The view is awesome, breakfast is delicious with a nice portion size. The decor is beautiful and up to date. I would definitely return on my next trip to Jamaica.
Cons: I would say on the Baileys part, they exceeded my expectations. Just be mindful that the roads leading to their place is under construction and you can expect a bit of a bumpy ride. However once you get their it will be all worth it.
Pros: We were welcomed warmly by Barbara and Bailey at their wonderful place. The rooms as well as the whole area were very clean and modern. You can use the shared kitchen with great equipment to make your morning coffee before the outstanding breakfast on the roof top veranda enjoying the great view over the sea and Runaway Bay. Barbara and Bailey are loving people and we felt very comfortable.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent every morning
Cons: No complaints, this was an amazing experience
Offering direct access to the beach, this Runaway Bay property is 1.3 mi (2.1 km) from Cardiff Hall Beach and 1.9 mi (3 km) from Green Grotto Caves. Runaway Bay Beach is 1.9 mi (3.1 km) away.
Pros: I want to give a special shoutout and a hugeeee review for front desk agent Michael from Luxury Bahia Príncipe in MBJ. He helped my friend and I with transfer to and from the hotel as I was stranded in another city. I had issue from my original flight from Toronto to MBJ, so we ended up being stranded and has to purchase another one way ticket from Toronto to MBJ via Orlando. the flights were oversold. We were in canada for over 12-13hrs just alone in airport, prior to that lack of sleep from directly from work to packing for this birthday trip, and from Orlando we slept overnight just to come to MBJ. We already lost 1 day of our trip from the trip disruption. Michael was the most amazing agent I ever met in my life. And because of him and his amazing customer service, I would definitely come back again to Jamaica. Every single staff was so amazing and sweet. I travel frequently. But this trip customer service was by far exceeded my expectations. I honestly felt welcomed and more importantly I felt loved in this resort.
Cons: Nothing. It was just perfect for me
Pros: View from room was beautiful
Cons: Pool closed rather early
Pros: The staff helped to make my stay awesome. They were very pleasant and helpful. The property immaculately kept and the facilities great. It was nice having 24 hour room and butler service. Staff checked in to see if we were okay. Our room was beautiful.
Cons: The beach area though beautifully arranged and kept didn’t have any depth for swimming. I could only wet my feet. However the magnificent pools with hot tubs compensated for the lack.
Pros: Food and drinks were great. Location was perfect
Cons: Didn't live up to the 5 star rating and customer service(staff) were poor
Cons: The service was definitely not I would call "luxury" by any means. We did not shower for two days because there was no cold water - only scalding water. The toilet was not working - could not flush it because cold water was not available to fill the tank. We had to full the waste basket with the scalding water and leave it to get to room temperature so we can take "sponge" baths. I have a lot more to say but I can't do it all here. But I will definitely contact them to file a formal complaint.
Located in Runaway Bay, this beachfront property is next to a golf course, 4.4 mi (7 km) from Green Grotto Caves, and within 16 mi (25 km) of Dolphin Cove and Dunn's River Falls. Dunn's River Craft Park and Mystic Mountain are also within 16 mi (25 km).
Pros: The food, the location, the cleansing and the ambiance were excellent. The service was Excellent; they were very attentive to our Needs .Our over all experience were excellent .
Cons: Need a little bit more entertainment .
Pros: WE stayed for 3 nights and it was really hard to take advantage of everything the hotel has to offer! I love the "Jewel Exclusives" such as the free glass bottom boat tour (which we did do) the trip to Dunns River, sunset cruise etc. That's a great advantage over a lot of hotels. There was also turn down service which I like…though we came back to the room so late the second night I didn't notice there was turn down service until our last night. The food is good. Since I am from Trinidad and my husband is from Jamaica we are very critical when it comes to hotels and local cooking. The Jewel did a good job with the local cuisine which I tend to gravitate towards. I also liked that you didn't need to make reservations for most of their restaurants so we were able to eat there at will. I have been to other hotels where you couldn't even get a reservation after arriving. So it was nice to always have the option of "going out" for dinner. They even serve breakfast in one of the restaurants for a nice sit down experience. I did however smell weed near my room two out of the three days I was there. So that was a bit strange and distasteful for my liking. Overall I have very little to complain about. If I were to suggest an area to improve it would be: Have more local fruit, dessert and pastry options. Many hotels love to offer american desserts and its nice to if they would be more inclined to show off the local tarts, patties, sponge cakes, rum cake, bun etc etc. We give people our food, let's share our local desserts and snacks too! Their entertainment was top notch. compared to other hotels it was above the rest. It was not the typical cheesy type of entertainment that causes me to roll my eyes. This was real singing, dancing, acrobats everyone could enjoy. We were never sure if room service was included as there was no book in our room providing a nice overview of the hotel along with menu choices. Sure we could have called and found out, but my husband opted for a mid-night stroll to the grill vs. calling the front desk and having to wait for his food. The grill ran 24 hours so that was nice. And the jerk there was close to authentic so that was also nice. A nice addition would be to have some Tastee's patties and an ice-cream shop. Like the coffee shop it would have been nice to get some local flavors like rum and raisin and cherry etc. Overall the Jewel has great value for money and we would certainly return.
Pros: The friendliness of the staff
Cons: Saw a guest excited the pool and then he turned around and spit in the pool
Pros: The atmosphere was fantastic. Staff were really polite and helpful. Dining under the stars event was really enjoyable Really loved it
Cons: The food could be better.
Pros: The staff was great. Karlie at front desk was awesome. They have a great package with many water activities included in the hotel price. As locals, we didn't feel watched, we were comfortable going about our business.
Pros: Everything was really lovely. Breakfast spread very good

Pros: The place was amazing!
Cons: I was being harassed over extra payment that I knew nothing about. Poor poor management skill. If I could get a refund without a hassle I would have left.
Pros: Use the kitchen. It was adequate
Cons: The beach.
Pros: I love the quiet, airy feel of the resort. The comfort of the room and the excellent hands on staff. Everyone was pleasant.
Cons: The shower head in the bathroom needs to be changed.
Pros: The grounds are beautiful and so well kept and the food was so good excellent chef
Cons: How dated the rooms and facilities are
Pros: It was peaceful and not too crowded. The bathroom could be remodeled/updated but overall it was acceptable. It is a good place for writing or if you just want a timeout. The property was secure.
Cons: Bathroom facilities could've been better.
Pros: It was beautiful quite and relaxing the grounds were stunning the the staff were nice. The apartment was lovely looking at the sea had to pay for this upgrade
Cons: The distance to the amenities, not much to do outside the resort. Not a beachfront Wi-Fi not that strong
Pros: Good snorkelling with lots of fishes near the "beach" stones
Cons: The hotel rooms need to be updated. Everything looks old. The pool is very very small, the beach area is not a beach but a sandy area rounded by big stones. There is no bar or restaurant in the beach/ pool, you have to order anything you want one hour in advanced
Located in Runaway Bay, this beachfront property is next to a golf course, 0.1 mi (0.2 km) from Cardiff Hall Beach, and 3.1 mi (4.9 km) from Green Grotto Caves. Runaway Bay Beach is 0.7 mi (1.2 km) away.
Pros: The nannies are amazing
Cons: Food could have been better
Pros: Nannies and friendly staff.
Cons: Facilities and grounds could use a face-lift.
Pros: The staff care so much about you and your family at FDR. Once you get a lay of the land and take advantage of all of the care offered to your children, it's an incredible experience.
Cons: Property is pretty run down and could use a face-lift.
Pros: The food was amazing, the staff were very friendly, the location was ideal
Cons: The property could do with a bit of renovation
Located in Runaway Bay, this beachfront property is next to a golf course, 1.5 mi (2.4 km) from Cardiff Hall Beach, and 1.9 mi (3.1 km) from Green Grotto Caves. Runaway Bay Beach is 2.1 mi (3.3 km) away.
Pros: There were many places to be entertained.
Cons: I arrived late and had a problem getting through the gate to enter. 20 minutes later to check in. The elevator and carpet could use a very good cleaning and elevator smelled horrible. The room smelled like mold and it took 48 hours to change room
Cons: Nothing at all everything was amazing
Pros: Customer service was great, room clean, one small problem resolved immediately.would recommend
Cons: I would have liked a kettle to be able to make tea as there was only a coffee machine.
Pros: Food great and room lovely property beautiful. Public Relations was nice on my birthday. Some staff great hospitality. Will try Luxury Section next time. Thanks to everyone who may my stay enjoyable may God bless you all.
Cons: Some staff by beach a bit vulgar in language and need to conduct more professional. Need information where to go and hours Of some restaurants closure.
Pros: Food was great Very clean
Cons: My wife book my trip with her credit card upon arrival at the hotel I was told I would have to purchase another room anywy the mgr came and fix it. Apart from that misunderstanding I love it and could recommend it to friends and loved ones
Pros: The food and customer service by staff was excellent. The grounds are well maintained including the pools. Entertainment packages are excellent, both day and night. Rooms are well maintained by cleaning staff and comfortable.
Cons: Elevator needs to be REPAIRED or replaced. Hallways from elevator to rooms needs to be cleaned and freshen up similar to other areas. ( I overheard other guess complaining about this in the elevator ) Bed Pillows in rooms should be checked for cleanliness and WASHED or REPLACED before new guess/occupance check into rooms. Bathrooms require additional maintenance, as shower heads and basin faucets needs replaced. (The toilet tank in my room was constantly running even after the tank was full)
Pros: Great selection for meals
Cons: Sometimes their follow through was not good. We bought a cake for my birthday and it took almost a day to resolve how we would leave with the cake. Additionally some employees approached us at the hotel and said we were going to get gift vouchers to celebrate the hotels 12th anniversary. They then asked for overseas id (we are locals) when we said we didn't have one, we were told that without one we aren't eligible. This was very distasteful and concerning for us as we had not gotten a local rate for our stay - we bought it on the open market which would suggest that we should be entitled to the same rewards as any other guest that bought their stay on the open market. Worst, when we asked public relations about it the following day, they said they had no idea of any anniversary celebration or giveaways. However, 30 minutes later we saw persons once more telling us about the celebration. We gave up after that.
Pros: It was comfortable
Cons: The staff attitude
Pros: so far everything was great, except the Italian restaurant, The salmons was not cook and was very cold. Reminding! Your staff was very knowledgeable. Thanks
Pros: The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Some foods were under cooked eg. lamb, that was probably done for the American visitors but I hate half cooked food. Liquor mixes are few not much to choose from.
Nestled on the beach, this Runaway Bay property is 1.3 mi (2.2 km) from Runaway Bay Beach and 1.8 mi (3 km) from Cardiff Hall Beach. Green Grotto Caves and Puerto Seco Beach Park are also within 9 mi (15 km).
Pros: Rooms was cozy, buffet food was good. Entertainment was nice
Cons: Food at the restaurant was not favorable. Menu choices was limited. Food was not well prepared.
Pros: Yes the bed was comfy
Cons: I booked into your hotel the day before my birthday you took my id but you dont let your customers feel happy to be there for there birthday not even a email or a phone call saying happy birthday, limited only 3 different meats for dinner so you basically didnt have much of a choice work been done with knocking while my partner was having a headache
Pros: Breakfast was ok. Property is good. staff was not friendly.
Pros: Breakfast was great. There was always a wide variety of foods to choose from and most of what I tried was tasty. On 2 occasions I experienced meals that were too salty but besides that, food was excellent.
Cons: The hotel allotted only one 1.5 liters of water for the 2 occupants of my room for the day. This is a limitation that I've never before experienced at an all-inclusive resort and I found really awful since I drink 3 to 4 times that amount of water per day. The towels were also VERY dingy and need to be addressed! The cocktails were so-so and lacked the flair of other resorts.
Cons: Nothing everything was good
Pros: Loved the atmosphere of this venue. Laid back, good family getaway spot. Friendly and accommodative staff. Clean beaches and wonderful facilities.
Cons: All inclusive didn't include wifi. Not in this time and age. There goes my next visit.
Pros: We liked the friendly staff and the special treatment given to us as honeymooners. We also enjoyed the nightly shows put on by the entertainment team.
Cons: Would have liked fried dumplings at breakfast.

Cons: Everything was great No dislikes
Pros: I absolutely loved the property. The hosts have the right attitude to customer service. The villa was clean, quiet and secure. I will be booking a subsequent visit.
Pros: Housekeeper was very pleasant and clean and the owner was very helpful and friendly
Pros: Beach was awesome.
Pros: The Guest House and surrounding gardens are very well kept. I also found the rooms were well furnished with adequate cutlery etc provided in the kitchenette area.
Cons: I would have given this Guest House a 10 out of 10 rating if my rooms had an A/C unit in the dining/lounge area as opposed to just the bedroom. Although I was able to open a number of windows & doors to stay cool.
Pros: Location and very nice management
Cons: Hygiëne, probably because we were not aspected to arrive
Cons: Warm water fluctuated on days, no bins, no tea or coffee offered although mugs and coffee maker was available.
Pros: Communication and peacefulness
Cons: Queen apartment Bathroom is disappointingly small and clustered. Fixtures are dated and tarnished and there was no hot water.
Pros: The staff were very facilitating and accommodating. It was exactly what we needed.
Pros: The pool was relaxing but the location is also great if you prefer a sea bath.
Cons: The mosquitoes in the room, the poor WiFi and lighting in the room.

Pros: Ms. Cynthia was very nice and accomadating. Anything that we need, she went over and above to make us happy. She also has good wifi. I will definitely return to this property. I felt safe in the location and overall I had a great stay. Ms. Cynthia made me feel comfortable and at home.
Cons: There was one day that we didn't have any water but she worked hard to resolve this issue. The kitchen sink kept stopping up. Apparently there are some plumbing issues. Getting Transportation can be difficult because the driver complained about the bad roads and didn't want to put their vehicle on the bad road.
Pros: Host was gracious, courteous and delightful; shared much about Jamaica and it’s history and current economic and social conditions. The guest house was beautiful, clean and inviting. We felt comfortable and safe.
Cons: We had difficulties connecting with the host on our arrival which meant our driver had to stay with us until we could get in. She was there in the Garden and apparently did not hear our phone call that we were arriving and at the gate. Frustrating but not a deal breaker. Secondly, there was absolutely no hot water and no water pressure. We took cold “dribble”showers. Finally, the location truly was far away from things. From the web site it appears that you are quite close to the sea, but in reality you can see it slightly from the veranda. You might hav a better view fro the upper rooms, but that was not mentioned in the web description.
Pros: The hospitality.
Cons: The location.
Pros: This place is very clean and spacious..totally spotless..and the lady who runs it is very friendly and kind!
Cons: Just don't follow Google maps..it is wrong
Pros: I loved the overall appearance and setup of this place. It had a warm, cozy inviting effect to it. The owner was very sweet kind helpful and attentive to my requests and needs!
Cons: The only thing that I did not really care for was having to share a bathroom with the other guests whose room was right across from mine. I would have preferred to have a bathroom in my room.
Pros: Miss Cynthia and her son Mario were marvellous hosts
Pros: The host was very warm and welcoming. One of the nicest people I have ever encountered. I would definably stay here again.
Pros: Location, the tropical landscape, and of course the host, my room was simple and elegant. Loved it. I would go back.
Cons: Having to share the bathroom, but that was minor.
Pros: This is someone's home it was very clean and the owner was super friendly. Suited for that tourism that wants to have a Jamaican yard style experience .
Cons: I would have preferred that each room had a ensuite bathroom. Not all rooms had AC. Google maps cant be used to find this location please call first.

Pros: Mom's village is hotel located right behind a business building. You cant see it from the street, but the sign is there to welcome all guest. The room has all your basic needs, (wifi, closet space, shower) and the kitchen outside the room is accessible at anytime. Sometimes, the people who live there use the kitchen to cook breakfast or dinner, so stick around to inquire about the local dishes! The location of this hotel is perfect. To the left, it's a 10 min walk to the beach, and to the right you have a church and a string of dive bars for nightlife. The locals are very helpful and even on a weekend night 2am the locals never harassed me for being american or a tourist. This is the perfect hotel for travelers who like to explore the town and experience the daily life in Jamaica.
Cons: There was nothing that i didn't like. If was a traveler that liked being cooked up in a hotel all day and expected an all-inclusive tourist prison, i would be disappointed! Luckily, that's not the case.
