Pros: Nice place. She cooked up a great Scottish breakfast in the morning. And she let us leave our luggage there while we went to the see the castle, so we didn't have to haul it around which was nice. Pretty much like a b&b. We enjoyed our short time there.
Cons: Had a little bit of trouble finding it on foot from the bus station, as there's some round abouts and foot tunnels on the way. She complained a bit that we didn't call saying we were coming lateish but we didn't have a phone that worked there and things just took a lot longer than expected to get there and find it. (We had been up all night with flights so we were pretty tired though).

Beautifully restored, lovely rooms and bathroom facilities, you easily feel like they are sharing their home with you but without being intrusive in the least. They will help guide you in a pinch- very important to a single female traveler. They turned me on to a local guide to help explore the Trossachs area. I will recommend them to everyone I know!
Pros: Lorraine&Derek are exactly the kind of personable, kind people who will help out and make recommendations for you that make sense. They even picked me up at the rail station since I got into Stirling as Derek was coming back home from town.
Cons: not a thing ;)
