Pros. Clean, comfy bed, good breakfast
Cons. Loud traffic, paper thin walls
Cons. There were stains on the beds, we tried 2 different rooms. The odor in the room also, not sure what it was, but did not smell clean. Would not recommend. They were nice enough to refund our money and we found another place to stay that was clean.
Pros. Staff identified my reservation and confirmed my accommodations on the phone prior to checking in, but we didn't get what we had reserved when we checked in. The management did knock off $20.00 on the bill.
Cons. Staff changed our accommodations from 2 double beds to one double bed. The room was very small, near the exit door where you can hear the slamming of the door, tv remote didn't work and the street traffic could interrupt sleep. Room 123.
Pros. The coffee
Cons. The room was small bed was small and uncomfortable garbage still had used hygiene products in it the tv remote didn't work and the door outside our room was not functioning properly and rattled the room when people used it
Pros. Close to hwy 35 and canal park
Cons. Parking really was not great winter will be really really bad. There were hairs in the tub . No mini fridge. The price was 162.00 not even close to worth the money. And so much police activity
Pros. I reserved 5 rooms for our group. When we arrived they only had 1 room reserved for us. Fortunately I had the confirmation for the 5 rooms, and they had 4 vacant rooms so could accommodate us. The office person said that when I reserved them it should have automatically updated in their computer. This caused some tense moments but it was resolved. The rooms were fine, and it was good location, with a good restaurant nearby.
Cons. We were across the parking lot from the office/check in desk, and the wi fi didn't reach our room. The parking lot, like much of Duluth, is on a huge slant, and if we would have brought our Harley, we wouldn't have been able to park in their lot. The room seemed clean enough, but very VERY old and the bed skirt on the bed was ripped noticeably. We walked to dinner, and as we were walking back to the hotel, nearing sunset, we didn't necessarily feel safe doing so. This is a dark and dingy hotel that charges too much. If we hadn't been coming into town at 6pm and had more time to look for other lodging, we would have passed this place by in a minute. Keep looking is our best advice.
Pros. This motel is located downtown and walking distance to canal park and the DECC, our purpose for the stay. It is dated but included wifi and breakfast. With that said our Wifi didn't work as they were recovering from a big storm the night prior. They ran out of milk (!) at breakfast and simply put up a sign saying so. The toast I defaulted to smelled sour in toaster and when I went to butter it, saw that it was mouldy. Because of the events in town we paid at least $100 more than what it is worth. The staff was friendly though, especially the young woman who set me up in the office so I could print our show tickets when their internet was down.
Cons. We paid a lot for a very basic and old hotel that didn't meet breakfast or Internet/wifi expectations.
Pros. Good location, rooms were clean
Pros. Room had a musty odor but hotel is in downtown area
