Those that won’t be driving long distances and will mainly be staying in downtown Duluth can always opt for an economy model, as a smaller vehicle makes it easy to find parking spots and drive through tight streets. If you know you will be visiting during winter, or you will be traveling with a larger group, you can always select an SUV instead, as such a car makes it easier to drive in snow and to fit extra passengers.
In school and residential zones, the speed limit will usually be 25 mph. For areas under construction, or particularly busy roads downtown, the speed limit is also 25 mph. On other roads within the city, you will often find a speed limit of 30 mph. When you drive on expressways in the city, the speed limit is generally 65 mph, while for interstates, it is typically 70 mph.
Duluth has many street parking meters that are a convenient option for visitors, especially when visiting downtown. These parking meters can be paid for with coins or cards, and there is also a smartphone app that anyone can download to help make payment easier. There are also several parking lots, both paid and free, that are conveniently positioned within the city and generally have plenty of free spaces. For example, there is the Duluth Transit Center lot that offers both hourly and daily rates, as well as a series of municipal lots throughout the city that offer similar fares.

Pros:
I was sitting at the Philadelphia airport waiting for my flight when I received a call from Avis telling me that they would be closed when I arrived at 9:48 from Chicago. I live in a remote rural area, and was completely stranded in Duluth. It seems to me thatCons:
It seems to me that if you have a car rental, someone should stay at the desk until the last flight comes in. The later, the more urgent this is.10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
Staff was helpful. Extended the reservation to one week because I wasn’t sure how long I would need the car and then dropped it back down to the original price when it was only one day after all.Cons:
Low comfort rating is because the car (2019 Volkswagen Jetta) beeped loudly whenever the door was open while idling. I was delivering newspapers and over 7 hours I had to open the door probably 150 times. Fried my nerves and I have never despised a car so much in my life. But not Avis’ fault. One location in Duluth

Pros:
Great staff at Enterprise in Duluth. Very accommodating staff. Will use again in the future.Cons:
The car would chug when you are starting to accelerate after being at a stoplight. When I returned the car I let them know of the problem only to find out it is a feature on the car for emissions/fuel economy? It would have been nice to know that ahead of time.10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
I made my reservation online to rent a car on 1/30/2017 and bought the auto insurance to go with it. The charge of $45 was billed immediately and I was to pay for the car when I checked in. He told me I couldn't get the car bc I didn't have a Credit Card in my name...I was upset bc I've never been denied a rental before and it was a huge inconvience for me. I didn't complain, and went on my way. However, the insurance charge is still showing on my account and was never reversed at time of check in. I asked the employee who worked front desk, but he said he couldn't help me. How do I go about getting these charged reversed? Thank you for your time, Holly ThomasCons:

Pros:
Price, car was clean, I was able to book easily online (and at the last minute).Cons:
No economy available, was given a Ford Focus (which has terrible visibility). Also wish there was a pick-up and drop-off downtown rather than only the airport option. One location in Duluth
