We loved this hotel. Ideal location for walking into the heart of the city and to the main line station/ tramway. Staff were very helpful and breakfast very tasty.
This hotel is a very easy 5-10 minute from the train station, right on a main road. My room had a tiny balcony that overlooked a courtyard, not that big but nice to be able to sit and read. Liked that they had the New York Times in the lobby. First and only english newspaper I was able to read at breakfast my entire trip. (Yes, I realize I'm in Italy. Yes I realize I can use my phone for news. But excellent international hotels typically have multi-language newspapers and it was nice to have it. Good Job!)
I'm not really sure what the designer was thinking painting the hallways a dark red with black trim. Really closes the hallways and frankly gives it a bordello feel. The urban feeling could be kept by a light gray paint that would match everything else and not be so creepy. It's not a good first impression, made me feel like "holy moly, what did I get myself into" as I walked to my room. The rooms are well decorated and very cool but holy smokes, the hallway...lol.
Great decor and food and friendly staff . Location perfect could walk to everywhere easily . Breakfast great selection . Happy hour really great to Come back to too
Nothing - we will be back for sure
loved the location . Easy walking distance to everything and lots of people around so always felt safe even when alone. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Lovely helpful staff.
The service at this hotel was exceptional! Very friendly and helpful staff throughout my stay. The 24-hour reception staff went above and beyond, booking my various tours with helpful tips on how to get around. The hotel is centrally located, walking distance to the train station and surrounded by many restaurants and Florence attractions. Room was much smaller than what is displayed on their website but it was sound-proofed, very clean with a large comfortable bed which made up for the room-size. I would definitely return to the The Market Urban Hotel and highly recommend it.
I can't identify anything that I didn't like about this hotel.
