8.8 Excellent
Pros: The design of the room, the spa area, restaurant serves nice western food that with Asian touch, really tasty. Staff r friendly n helpful
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Incredible location, cozy hotel with a wonderful warm atmosphere and helpful staff! Delicious food in the restaurant too! Would highly recommend!
Cons: It’s difficult to find something to complain about. I only could wish indoor pool would be warmer during winter
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s so so beautiful ! Everyday you feel really lucky and positive so it’s perfect if you’re looking to recharge and relax. I got to see the mountains and lakes in sun and snow which was amazing ! The spa is lovely , I’m not really into jacuzzis and saunas so i spent most of my time in the ‘Silent Room’ ( it’s what I call it anyways ) as it’s all glass windows so you feel like you’re outside all the time. They also provide a variety of free tea options , apples and mini snacks around 2pm so you can spend a whole day there if you wanted. The staff are lovely and make you feel extremely welcome even with the language barrier they always made sure I was okay as a solo traveller. The food is tasty but it is very expensive and all restaurants near the hotel were closed (maybe due to ski season being over ?) but if you’re looking for variety elsewhere you won’t find it so be prepared to spend a lot eg. Beef, potatoes and fresh vegetables and a juice maybe around £40 . The free breakfast was good , there was a lot of variety and thankfully had bacon and eggs . Things to consider before you go: - it’s around £16 return ( I think ) to get up and down the mountain so be prepared to pay that everyone you want to leave . The funiculars are very frequent but one of them doesn’t work if it’s heavy snow or windy so consider weather when planning to visit here - there is one shop near the hotel which was open 7am-1pm this had all your drinks and snacks and souvenirs - the spa is a fully nude zone so no swimsuit required unless you use the downstairs pool and outside jacuzzi - I feel like this is important to flag as I didn’t see this mentioned in any of the reviews - Friday night and Saturday are VERY BUSY in the restaurant and spa - nobody is fluent English (which is totally fine !
Cons: - cost of food - indoor pool is cold but you get used to it after a while - i think it would be good to be given a tour of the spa at arrival that way you kind of know the rules and what to expect when you’re there
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was welcoming and friendly. We had dinner both nights at the hotel which was wonderful. And, we really enjoyed the wellness gym, sauna and pools.
6.8 Good
Pros: not much. the staff at the reception n breakfast were frindly tho.
Cons: we r a family of 4 with 2 large luggages. kids are 9 n 17 yo. when we arrived in stoos it was already dark - around 5pm. we've arranged for hotel pickup but a taxi pickup truck came instead. the driver threw our luggages at the rear open air section and he motioned us to go inside the pickup rear seats. he didnt speak any English. thats not the problem... problem is theres a dog at the rear seat n my youngest kid has major allergy to feline/dog fur. we tried telling him to put the dog with the luggages at the back but he vehemently refused..many times! at this point hes starting to already get very annoyed. meanwhile another couple with a baby came along and he instead let the couple into the rear cabin and simply TOOK OFF! ...leaving us there at a very foggy deserted dark station with no clue where to go. at this point my 2 kids are totally scared s××t and crying ! i called the reception and requested that another shuttle b sent and to mk sure theres no dog this time. a few mins later the same guy with the same pickup truck with the same dog came by. he was even more agressive this time around and insisted that we sit in the rear seats with the dog. my wife had to calmly gesture to him that our son has allergy to dogs. he unhappily relented and moved his dog over with our luggages. sad to say this absolutely ruined our vacation. both my kids cried the whole night and the youngest even had nightmare. it was a traumatic experience for our whole family. we booked for 3 nights but instead we left the next morning to zermatt. we didnt even bother to get a refund. never ever again to stoos nor this hotel. ever!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Wellness experience is outstanding.... would come back any time. Plus the meals were excellent too; great chef(s).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice indoor spa, good indoor swimming pool, very good breakfast, very large mirror in the room, nice views, unique shower.
Cons: The water temperature was not very stable in the bath. The key to the room was a little bit confusing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful Spa facilities; extensive breakfast; very close to ski lift
Cons: Dinner took a little long in between courses
8.8 Excellent
Pros: + Our kid loved the pool with the provided games + Our kid loved the provided tiny SPA slippers and wardrobe. + The room was very spacious + The localization and the view are great
Cons: - The sound insulation is a bit poor; we could hear everything from the rooms above and next to ours. - At the restaurant, 7.50 CHF for 750 cl of tap water is pretty expensive, even by Swiss standards

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything.
Cons: Only being able to stay 2 nights - wish it could have been longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Caschu Alp Boutique Design Hotel is a remarkable place. First, our hosts Camilla and Paul were friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. The accomodations and public spaces were spotlessly clean and very tastifully designed, a mix of traditional Swiss and modern, creating a unique zen vib. There is a spa with jacuzzi and sauna which provided the perfect way to recharge after a long day of hiking in the Stoos valley and mountains. However, the restaurant was one of the best surprises at Caschu Alp. Dinners were spectacular and unique, and we had no difficulty finding exceptional wines to accompany our dinners from their celler which is well stocked with a nice range of carefully selected vintages. Breakfasts were equally memorable- fresh fruits, local cheeses and meats, fresh baked breads and croissants, homemade jams and more. All of these elements combined to make this of the most relaxing and recharging weekend breaks we have had in a long time. As we live in Zurich only 1 hour away, we will certainly be back!!
Cons: We can't imagine anything that we would suggest changing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely enjoyed every moment in the hotel. The hosts are super friendly and try to do everything to make your stay memorable. The rooms are clean and very cozy decorated. Location of the hotel is great as Stoos is a small and friendly mountain village. You have access directly to a few very nice hiking trails. The food is absolutely delicious. Very fine dining with surprising dishes. The wellness area is very relaxing and well designed. If you look for a great moment of relaxation and pampering, Caschu Alp is the place to be. We will return for sure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, and on top of that the hosts, Frau und Herr Schuler, are excellent persons!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We liked our room, especially the cozy upper areas - a perfect fit. Refreshing design, and well-planned room shapes/architecture. Ski-in and out is a big bonus, and the "can do" attitude of the property owners really adds up.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: nice Location, great view -nice Comfy bed and terasse -nice facility with a big swimming area -good for a family/couple getaway
Cons: - During checking in, they gave a different room, what we expected from booking.com. It was in front of the first floor, at Hallway, no sunlight and People passing by. We complained to the Receptionist for a change of Room, which they then told us they normally would charge us extra. As if it was our mistake. -no vegan option for the breakfast service being slightly rude, when we asked for an milk alternative. Give more attention to other diet aswell.

Cons: I did not like the room with terrace, old small building, no A/C, week lights and toilet without shampoo
7.0 Good
Pros: room upgrade by the lovely reception staff, mountain view, swimming pool, complimentary buffet for kids.
Cons: Beef burger was expensive but does not meet our expectation of the expensive price, emailed the restaurant and hotel management team about that but did not receive any compensation due to late complain. The bread, beef, potato fries not that good taste, bread is too thick and not yummy bread, beef not well done despite saying to do it well done, fries seems coming from a frozen bag, we ate in a nice burger restaurant and this burger did not meet our expectation with the expensive price attached to it, it was a rip off. Better to order take away pizza from the restaurant. Weve been charged for the barely touch salad from the kids buffet.

Cons: N/A
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The host was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The evening meal and breakfast were very good and the view was wonderful when wewere out ofthe cloud. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Unfortunately the only room available for two of us was the ‘family’ room which was very small and had four bunk beds. Be advised to ensure you get a double room if you are a couple.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is absolutely stunning; right at the summit of the mountain with a great view of the surrounding ridges. The host was a very nice person who made us feel welcome and catered to our every need.
Cons: It is understandable that the rooms are rather small. However both heating and ventilation in the guest rooms should be improved. It was rather cold and the air was very moist in there. The dining / breakfast room and social facilities where very comfortable and well decorated though.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Enjoy marvelous views day and night!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner and staff were exceptionally kind!
Cons: We weren’t exactly told how much the costs of our extra meals would be. They were so lovely we didn’t even want to ask!
7.0 Good
Pros: Location, Location, Location. The view is amazing.
Cons: I´ve never ever been in a hotel where I paid 160,- per night and had the access to the room partially blocked by a snowplow (inside the hotel!). See attached image. Instead of having a view of the lake from our room as per description, it was situated directly next to the slopes, so the skiers were literally 2 meters away from our bedroom window. There was no view of the lake from the hotel, and no waking up with a beautiful view over the lake and mountains as we had to keep the curtains closed. Some other rooms had the view as described. As I had booked online I´m depending on the description being correct! All in all I would surmise that we paid 100,- for the view, and 60,- for the hotel, as thats what it would cost had it been anywhere else. Getting up to the hotel costs another 100,- (for two people) btw. I would have expected more from a hotel that costs 160,-p/n, but nonetheless the view is worth it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, food. Especially the staff so friendly and accommodating
Cons: Our room was a bit small but not a big problem as just slept there. Basic but enough for what we needed

Overview Reviews
Located in Seelisberg, Hotel und Naturhaus Bellevue is within a 5-minute drive of Maria Sonnenberg Chapel and Ruetli Meadow. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. This hotel has 7 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Reception staff.... her name is Fabienne.......went way beyond the call of duty in helping us feel at ease and comfortable. Especially when my friend had an unexpected swollen knee and couldn\t walk, Fabienne found us all kinds of help, including crutches, leg wraps, and endless room service. The other fab thing was the view out the window and terrace---- there were the Alps, and morning sun glowing on the snow covered peaks, all reflected in the Urnersee lake below. Dreamlike!
Cons: The food, and the dining room staff. Granted it was low season, so everything was patched together. But we went off the Halb pension, as the food was so unsatisfactory--- even tasteless at times.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comunnication with staff was great, location is amazing!!!!
Cons: Front desk is not 24 hrs.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was amazing. The water in the lake was turquoise blue. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered the Whitefish for dinner and it was very tasty. The walk to Treib was beautiful. It was a bit surprising in that the trails went through private pastures. The "hike" back to the hotel was steep. In hindsight, we should have taken the finicular. We took the boat to Luzern, which was more scenic than taking the bus and train.
Cons: We didn't have a car, so getting to the property from Wengen took over four hours. We transferred three times on the train and then took two Post busses.

Pros: To expensive for this accomodation
Cons: Old hotel Room, poor accomodation Breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was basic, but clean. Breakfast was very nice and varied (although no croissants)., The hotel is in the very center of this tiny town and easy to find, with a free parking behind the hotel. It is actually very convenient for travelers as it is only a 5 minute drive from the motorway.
Cons: Our room had a terrible view - it overlooked parts of the roof. It had windows very high up, as if you were living in a cellar, although we were on the second floor. It was quite sultry in the room. But OK, we spent only one night so we did not care, but if we had come for a holiday, I think I'd be disappointed.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location and free parking. Wifi good.
Cons: Only one hard pillow. Very small single room. Only one socket. No comfortable seating in bedroom. No fridge or tea making facilities. Restaurant closed on Sundays and Mondays. Breakfast very poor. Very basic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful when we arrived in the evening. It is a very nice building in a great location.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendly and helpful
Cons: Thin walls, a little noisy.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is awesome. Bus stop/station is 4 minutes away. Supermarket 'Coop' is 5 minutes up the street. Great assortment of goods at breakfast. One of the best breakfasts I've seen in 3-star hotels. Amazing backyard with tables and view on the mountain tops. I love old type elevators. Girls at reception are good with English and always helpful. Great value for price and quality. International bills (money) are everywhere.
Cons: No authorised laundry service. A little bit costy. No need in 3-course dinner/supper costs 25 CHF. You could find cheaper options in the village.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Efficient service, excellent in-room wifi, good breakfast included, immaculate private bath, convenient free parking
Cons: Nothing; good experience
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was great and the staff were very nice.
Cons: It is an old building so the walls are thin and you can hear other guests talking and walking around in the hallway.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was great with amazing views of snow clad peaks from our bedroom window. Nice breakfast with obliging staff who were happy to fill our flask with hot water for our journey. The beds were big and very comfortable with a huge pillow and big squashy duvets. Lovely bathroom, they even supplied facecloths along with the towels. Adequate parking off streetand the hotel was only a couple of kms from the motorway. Stayed on inward and outward journeys and had the same room for both.
Cons: Very limited restaurant menu with nothing that we would have liked too much but then we are quite fussy. We neede to find a restaurant to eat. Switzerland is very expensive in comparison to other European destinations so be prepared.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It is reasonable price in Switzerland. Staffs are friendly. We could have dinner with special price
Cons: The door of the room is not autolocked and it is sometimes difficult to lock the door. It is better if there are plain yoghurt without sugar and warm foods such as sausage or scrambled egg at breakfast

Cons: The room decor is a bit simple, but that's fine.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant Staff, really lovely restaurant with very nice food which was less expensive than we feared it might be! View of Lake Lucerne is great from the balcony.
Cons: The train ran all night but room wasn’t too noisy as there was good double glazing and shutters.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location, good place to rest up.
Cons: Somehow the cleaner opened the door without knocking on the morning which was almost very amusing...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super quiet town with everything we wanted: green meadows and hiking trails right outside the hotel (The Swiss Trail), cows and sheep with bells seen and heard in the distance, the amazing Lake Lucerne a quick 300m walk away with a public swimming entry and dock to jump off of (rarely a person other than us there), extremely good food for dinner, ample continental breakfasts, and wonderful views of the lake from the room terrace. The Lake is gorgeous and we avoided a crowded city to see it!
Cons: Some may balk at the trains consistently running by. However, they aren’t loud enough to disrupt sleep and they actually add to the “small Swiss town” vibe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property really exceeded our expectations. Based on the photos on bookong.com, we expected a very basic hotel. But the photos online are really misleading, reality is so much better. The hotel restaurant is so good that local people are coming there to eat. It’s delicious high cuisine. The breakfast was of great quality products. Our room was super clean. We will come back for sure
Cons: Maybe a few fruits or vegetables with the breakfast
5.8 Okay
Pros: Friendly owners and staff. Good food albeit expensive.
Cons: Room dark and beside busy road so noisy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly staff and excellent food, beautiful scenery
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful views. Staff were lovely. Right next to the cliff diving platform where they’d had the work champs the week before. Pretty, tiny village. Room was clean, shower pretty good. Balcony a nice spot to sit and absorb the amazing view of the mountains.
Cons: Room was pretty basic. Not much choice around the area to eat. Restaurant food was quite good but expensive. All up the room for one night and one course dinner (the cheapest mains on the menu) came to NZ$367. Switzerland is an expensive place to be, this place was no exception.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were booking at the last minute with elderly adults, including one who walks with a walker, and young children. The value was the best in the area at the time. The rooms (and bathrooms in the rooms) were sparkling clean, perfectly set up and had everything we needed (and were frankly much nicer than the pictures on the internet would have you think). The area with the rooms has an elevator. The personnel were extremely welcoming and helpful, including setting up a special breakfast in the restaurant (dinner) area to allow for my elderly mother not to have to walk across gravel or up stairs to the regular breakfast room, with her walker. The breakfast was ample and delicious - nice fresh food, excellent coffee. They even heated up the coffee cups! Also, for the kids, they took the time to bring a little cold milk to mix with the hot milk for their hot chocolate, so it would not be too hot for them. There was a playground area for the kids too. The experience was amazing, pleasing to both the older and younger generations and the decor tasteful.
Cons: No complaints.
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent view
Cons: Connectivity to reach main centers

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Wonderful landscape
Cons: Small room, not much in the area very expensive
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Attentive staff, great value
Cons: Right next to the main road, bit noisy during the day, no problem during the night
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very kind, hospitable and helpful. The hotel is very close (5 min walk) to a basic but clean and well organized lake shore and to the train station and to the ferryboat stop. In addition to the hotel itself, there are a few other options for lunch/dinner in the close vicinity. Breakfast was reasonably rich (we even made sandwiches for lunch with it). The room was not enormous, but far enough to fit the three of us for a couple of days. The bathroom was external, but private. Everything very very clean. Wifi works well. I would recommend it to my friends.
Cons: Our room was reachable via a narrow staircase: no problem for us, but senior guests should ensure they would be able to reach the room (there might be an elevator somewhere but I have not checked). The room (on the street side) was a bit too noisy to sleep with open windows, but windows were very well soundproof. The price was of course high on Italy standards, but reasonable on Swiss standards.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Bed comfy. Clean. Easy to find easy parking.
Cons: Staff rude didnt even say hello! Upset i didnt have cash and wanted to use card Didnt show us to our room No coffee or tea or water even! Room very very hot.. no fan. No flyscreens to keep mossies out. Room tiny and VERY noisy all night from the traffic right outside near your head. All for $166 AUD robbery Staff didnt ask if everything ok... totally ignored us. Got better service at the last hostel! Wifi terrible. Whole town shut not even a grocery stall or restaurant to be seen.

9.5 Excellent

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The experience was awful wo have nothing
Cons: The hotel was far away from the centre on a very noisy street which is very disturbing in the night
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, had almost everything we needed
Cons: Many stairs, stairs are also very short and uncomfterble. Some smell from the restaurant in the lower floor but it is unnoticed in our floor. No kettle for hot water in room
7.5 Good
Pros: It was very clean and tidy, super easy to find, had parking even for the 2 cars that we had.
Cons: I booked in booking 2 twin beds, but we got one queen bed and the guy said they don't have 2 beds. Also the pillows were not comfortable for me. Maybe the host could put some standard ones in the wardrobe for whoever prefers normal pillows.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts great, location ok. Very friendly service and friendly owners

Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and they did not demand payment on arrival. Breakfast was pleasant. We had a view of the lake from our balcony but it was on the side so had to crane our necks! The room was basic but clean. We walked easily into town and to the lake for swimming.
Cons: Not a big problem but the hotel decor was rather random!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location is convenient if you wish to travel through the Gothhard tunnel early morning before traffic starts. Staff was accommodating/friendly. Breakfast basic, but fine.

Cons: Rooms felt a little dated
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in fantastic location (view over Lake Luzern), with friendly staff.
