Convenient location and clean rooms No complaints
U def pay for location with this place. Luckily there is enough to do nearby that you don't have to stay long in the hotel The 'Vintage pool' was dirty and disgusting, the 'vintage hot tub' was cold, wouldn't turn on, and filthy. This place is not well maintained which is surprising for what they charge.
Great location for wine country bike trips. Decent breakfast, comfortable beds. Property layout is awkward. Hate the cheese with the scrambled eggs.
Good location We had ants in our rooom... they canceled there wine tasting on Valentine's day! The jet tub in room didn't work.
Reasonably priced and close to downtown and other wineries. The pool and spa are nice. We were put in a handicap room. The workout room shared a wall and had a tv blasting on the wall that we shared. It was very loud! Also, the stairs came down in front of the room and people were very loud and the light was very bright in our room. Would ask not to be put in that room again. And the shower did not have a spot to put the showerhead on the wall; we had to hold it.
ChargePoint EV station just opened across the street.
Location, beds TV, cable channels were few, no available pay TV/movies. Biggest issue however was the shower...impossible to get a steady and constant temperature. Frustrating and uncomfortable.
It is an easy place to get to being right off the fwy.... that being said, we had a room that was noisier than before because it was on the street. the coffee is like tea..... terrible
Reserved a king and was given a queen. Tried multiple times to resolve but they were uncooperative
Plenty of parking and pleasant staff Some trash was leftover when we checked in, some things could be updated such as the hair dryer
Two double beds and coffee machine and that they allow dogs as I have an ESA dog
We go here often and love it!
The bathroom and rooms were a little bit outdated. The toilet was very old and weak.
Very peaceful and quiet. Nice location Lots of close parking. Beautiful grounds. Would be nice and safe to install a grab bar for entering the tub/shower area. Door key card wasn't cooperative. Had to make several attempts before opening door. Small refrigerator in room would be nice.
Staff was friendly. Great breakfast. No air conditioning. Room had a horrible "musty" smell. I'd advise that if you decide to stay to request that the staff "air" the room out a minimum of 15 mins before you arrive to your room.
nice view of the water. Cabins were spacious and comfortable. Nice hot tub and pool. Food was good.
Wonderful location, pleasant and courteous staff, central to Bodega Bay. Room phone did not work so could not call desk when toilet had a problem. Desk lamp did not work so phone carger plug was nonjfunctional. There was only one wastebaskey. Wifi was extremely poor andwould not connect, and with phone down, couldnt get hold of the desk. No instructions for connevting. Complementary breakfast was premade and did not taste very good.
To much money and not that nice looking
seclusion the shower was clogged
Parking but there was a Christmas party
There was a total lack of attention to detail and lack of response to travelers staying there. It took two nights and my taking a picture of my bed and threatening to send the picture to corporate for the Hyatt to use a mattress cover and sheets that were big enough to fit the king bed so that they would stay on through the night. Then when we needed to order an early breakfast room service and needed the card to put on the doorknob, it took three calls and we still had no response and no breakfast card. We needed to go to sleep so went to bed without being able to order our room service breakfast. This was harmful to us in the morning with our early meeting/tournament. Even simple details like having regular coffee packs and decaffeinated coffee packs in the room they were unable to accomplish. Offering us one free breakfast was not sufficient to make up for the mess the hotel is in. They give lip service to telling supervisors and handling problems but they do not.
Had a very pleasant stay. Rooms were newer, pool and hot tub were nice. Excellent location- we walked to dinner/drinks. Short drive to wineries in Healdsburg and Santa Rosa
The one younger girl working was very nice! None of this was her fault. The Management should have stepped in !! We reserved a king room that was one of the most expensive rooms available in Santa Rosa. We arrived and checked into the room on a friday evening. When entering the room it had a extremely strong cigarette smell. So I went and told the front counter that we needed to get a different room. They said everything was booked except a room with 2 queen beds. I said we booked a king room for me and my girlfriend so this was not acceptable. I called every other hotel and everything was full by this time in the afternoon. Now the room wasnt bad but if your going to charge top dollar you should give people what they want. Also we ordered room service breakfast and a wakeup call and never received . This place is not living up to the Hyatt name. They should have offered a discount or something if there gonna downgrade me and basically say this is what you get. I felt like I was forced to pay 300+ dollars or be homeless for the night. I will be staying across the street at the Marriot next time.
Very comfortable and well appointed rooms. The decor was decades out of date.
Clean & Elegant
Heated Pool, Great bedding and comfortable bed, Keurig Coffee Maker, plenty of complimentary newspapers in the morning. However, cheap toilet paper and scant coffee condiments in the room just didn't seem to match the rest of the decor and hospitality. These two little things would be so easy to improve on....But in the meantime, bring your own coffee creamer!
The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Their ad did not indicate their pool and hot tub was closed for the winter. We were very disappointed to find this out when we checked in. They offered us passes to the FountainGrove club, which was nice, but if we'd known in advance they had no hot tub on the property, we would have gone elsewhere. We've been to this hotel many times before, and were disappointed with how it's changed.
REally liked the location and the staff was really nice and fun. I felt like the hotel was overpriced.
Liked it, however had a negative interaction with a staff member that left a bad taste.
Overall experience doesn't match with price by a long shot. Holton above the hill much better luxury and value. Best asset you have is extraordinary concierge.
• Interiors are set in modern decor rarely found in hotels on this price range • Room I stayed was clean, spacious and had no odors • Staff were helpful • Plenty free parking space in front • Location is great for visiting wineries in Northern Sonoma • WiFi signal wasn’t good in my room so I had to be in lobby area to get better connection. This part needs improvement. The staff acknowledged this issue and are working on to improve it. • Breakfast (not complimentary) is served in a restaurant on the first floor Overall, Fountaingrove Inn is a nice place for the rate I paid. There were negative reviews in the past but I think the hotel has improved since. Regardless what other booking web sites rate this hotel 3 stars or 4 stars, the rate you pay reflects the quality. You just don’t pay a hundred forty dollar room and expect the place to be like the Hilton - then you just move up to the next budget level of $200+. Bad Wifi connection in my room.
Nice location/value with friendly staff and very comfy beds. A no brainer if in the area.
Location Little mold in shower, could not get extra towels delivered. Had to goto lobby for ice and towels. Only provided towels for 2 of 3 guests
We found La Rose Hotel to be very welcoming and immaculate. We liked all the light in our room and the large marble bathroom. The parking was conveniently located nearby. The hotel was near excellent restaurants and interesting shops. We enjoyed all the fresh fruit offered as a part of the complimentary breakfast buffet. The water for tea was not hot, but when asked, they promptly remedied the problem. It would add a nice ambiance if music was played during the breakfast hours.
The hotel had a vintage turn of the century look & feel to it. An being this was a honeymoon stay my beautiful bride really appreciated the classic feel it brought to our honeymoon. This was very centrally located from everywhere we wanted to go. Most of the restaurants we went to were either a short walk away or a very short drive away. Access to & from the freeway was very simple which made it that much better for day trips which we took several. There was a few things that I did see that was troublesome. An that was the cleanliness of the bathroom. Along the ceiling was what appears to be either small buildup of water stains or mildew. Other than that the hotel was very good. The other issue I had was by no means within the control of the hotel but it is still an issue. Every morning & everyday we were there all we heard an saw was the yelling from the local transients in the park across the street from the hotel. That was a big issue I had every time I dropped of my wife at the door to go park the car. I can't he but think that one would try to harass or rob her as she's walking inside while I'm parking our car across the street.
The outside of the hotel look cute and historical. The inside is other story.
Loved the convenient location, ease of parking, and closeness to amenities. Liked that I felt safe walking around the neighborhood. Looking forward to staying once the Smart Train starts running all the way to Larkspur. You could park the car & never move it for an extended stay. The free breakfast was a bonus & quite delicious. Lots of street noise; took one night to get used to. Slept much better the second night.
Charming boutique hotel...good restaurants in walking distance and the charm of great wine country
very near to good restaurants, clean, quiet I made 3 reservations under one name hoping we would all have rooms in the same building. Front desk person said the hotel thought it was only one person and they did not put all of us in the same room - did not make any sense.
The hotel is 20 minutes from everything. At first I was nervous that it was right off the highway but that was nothing to be concerned about. It is very quiet. Views are of the adjacent vineyard. The grounds are lovely and full of surprises (like the bocce court). The food was fantastic (the main restaurant and John Ash). The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. Best value in wine country. There is nothing not to like.
Great location! Front desk attendant was fabulous and let us check in early! Definitely will go back next time we're in the area.
Free breakfast Not worth the money by any means
Friendly staff, Clean room, Excellent breakfast
The hotel was a great value with a very easily accessible location. The actual rooms were pretty outdated and didn't match the facade of the hotel.
Loved this hotel - the staff were super friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable about the area and bent over backwards to make our stay special. Hotel itself is gorgeous - super modern clean and elegant. Will definitely stay here again.
The room overlooks the main street thru town and was loud with all the car and truck noises.Better insulated windows??
It was an ok hotel. Nothing was wrong with it per se. Nothing was great either. The bathroom, the bed, the room: all adequete. Don't expect magic and luxury and it's the right place to stay. In fairness it was clean. The staff wasn't informative. Ask them for recommended wineries, they google the exact same list you could, and read it to you. Ask for a restaurant, they'll tell you the ones you passed on your drive in.
Privacy Old falling apart furniture
The front desk was very polite handling my complaint and agreed to refund half of my room charge if Kayak initiated the reduction Mold poisoning
Location and service level. I felt they could have opened the kitchens earlier and made a runners breakfast. We were there for the healdsburg half marathon. I would have definitely have paid for a nice bowl of oatmeal at 5am....the run started at 7.15am. Just a thought.
The central location in the wine valley, and the evening wine taste were the best things
Actually the room was ok and the hotel in general was nice and well mantained The location is far from any "life form". Actually you have to drive for miles to reach places. The absence of free internet in the room.
Gym facility. Low rise hotel. Luxury
Very good standards
The rooms were nice really clean but the corridors and walk ways looked old and needed a updating. No big deal it was overall a very nice hotel. updating of carpet and stairways.
A first class hotel, suitable for visiting the Napa & Sonoma Valleys. The hotel is on the outskirt of Santa Rosa and not in walking distance of its restaurants.
Cobwebs in corners of bathroom
It was a very quiet place and the room I was in was very large and pretty. The pool/spa closes at 6pm/9pm. I would have liked to come back after being out and relax and swim. The guest towels were threadbare and stringy around the edges. The curtains in the bathroom did not provide adequate privacy. No breakfast variety.
room, setup, service, food - everything was excellent will go back
Hotel employee is the man. Jack of all trades. Owner, host, chef, waiter, etc Would have been nice if it's closer to Bodega Bay. Also WiFi was extra -- would be nice to have in rooms as cell coverage is not good from surrounding hills.
The wood burning fireplace. The hotel room was not worth the price we paid. It was dated and rundown. The towels and upholstery on the chairs were fraying. A metal piece came off our shower when turning it on. The breakfast was bad with old fruit and rancid cottage cheese.
The setting and landscaping and staff were awesome.
The bed and linens were lovely. The staff and their service is not at the level I would expect from a hotel at this price point and brand name. As just one example "valet parking" is the staff parking our car on the street and needing to move it in 3 hours because of parking limits.
The location was great, the wine they poured was very good and the homemade cookies were yummy. The front yard was quaint. The back was a dirt lot - ugly! The breakfast room contained too many people with a long boring looking table, & it felt like a hotel and not a quaint B&B. Too many rooms for a B&B. Online pics were not current, & I had a better expectation of the place because of them. Nothing cute!
Character of room+ wrap deck+ secure space to store bikes No in room refrigerator
Lots of trees beautiful landscaping. Welcoming grounds Check in time 4 p.m.
It was clean. No coffee or frig in room. We had walk across a dirt parking area, if you can call it that, to a common room. Here you could brew a pot of coffee. But be ready to share it with other guests... Weird place! The guy running the show was not a real friendly
Very accommodating and great value No
Managers nice. Acceptable stay with some minuses. I don't remember if it was advertised but the rooms have no frig, microwave, or coffeemaker. All that is in office area across dirt parking lot that would turn to mud in rain. We were in back building with 4 rooms and 3 parking spots.
location and friendly staff, great bed. Large kitchen available for coffee and snacks
The bed was so comfortable At least they can have a water vending machine. Although they gave me the instructions on how to get to my room, self checking myself in and out seemed strange. Like Air B&B
