Valet parking is gratuitously required even though the building, which is new, is clearly designed for self-parking, with a lobby entrance directly from the parking garage (with ample room) that we are not allowed to use. All of the rooms have kitchens, half of which are unusable because the refrigerator doors are backwards: Standing in the kitchen, to reach into the refrigerator, the user has to walk past the refrigerator, out of the kitchen, open the door from the wrong side, reach inside, then close the door because it’s blocking the way back into the kitchen. Half of the rooms are like this, because all of the refrigerators are installed with their hinges on the same side and the rooms are, or course, in mirror pairs. Virtually all refrigerators have reversible doors for the obvious reason that they must be reversed in many installations, and the people that built this hotel could not be bothered to perform the basic minimal task of installing the refrigerators competently. And I was cold. All the time. In Florida.
