Large rooms and balconies, separate pools for adults and children. Water sports.
Pool didn't open until about 9. Far from the action but I appreciated that so no bar noise.
Great Value, Friendly Staff, Fantastic View
The hotel is away from all the bustle of the "main drag" on Estero Island, and relatively quiet. Clean, comfortable room with a great view of the Gulf. The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions I had about good restaurants, etc. Elevator in my building, good since I was on the top floor.
Pool closed at dusk; would have liked it to be open until later as it would have been nice to have been able to relax poolside in the evenings. Stove top in the room but no oven, no breakfast or even coffee provided in the mornings.
Location Beautiful beach
Room had some bugs in bathroom and kitchen areas Prices a little high for quality and size
Sandpiper Gulf Resort is a beachside hotel that backs right up to the ocean. Visitors come to the Sandpiper for the beautiful views of the water and the quick and convenient beach access behind the hotel. Being able to walk from your room to the Gulf of Mexico and back again is a perk that very few hotels can offer. The rooms at Sandpiper Gulf Resort are divided into type depending on where they are in the hotel. Guests can choose between a pool view, courtyard, island view, beach view, beach front, and the penthouse at the top of the hotel. All of the rooms come a base set of accommodations, like free wifi, stovetops and kitchenettes. Most of the floorplans come in both two queen and single king setups. Sandpiper Gulf Resort has several amenities for visitors to try. The biggest attraction here is the hotel's private beach, a stretch of sand only available to guests. If the waves get a little too rough, guests can always take a dip in one of Sandpipers two heated outdoor pools. For a little extra fun in the sun, guests can try some of the games here lie shuffleboard, beach volleyball, and bean-bag toss. Nothing beats doing a little poolside grilling in the courtyard barbecue grills. The Sandpiper Gulf Resort is near some popular area attractions. There are nature and recreational areas on the nearby island. Visitors can also go check out some of the fantastic shopping in the area with several luxury outlet malls to explore. When visitors get hungry, Fort Myers has some amazing restaurants with some of the freshest seafood available anywhere.
