We enjoyed the following... Big, warm indoor pool Creek directly under room balcony Comfortable beds Friendly staff Location On-site breakfast Quiet rooms Bathrooms could use a few updates. It was also a cold walk outside from the indoor pool to our room but that's just part of being an older/motel-style establishment.
Rate and location N/A
Great staff, very friendly. The staff were the highlight of this experience. The rooms were average with the standard motel options. Location was close enough that you could walk to the main attractions. For the price it was worth it. The Wi-Fi only worked at the main building and a bit beyond. Did not see any breakfast options available but a fantastic pancake house was nearby. Bathrooms needed updated.
The cleaning staff was very nice and the riverfront was a plus. There were ants in our room. The minifridge became unplugged sometime when we were asleep the first night and ruined our food in the fridge. When you entered the room the smell was unpleasant and somewhat over powering, took a while to adjust to it.
The pools Parking needs some work
There were roaches in room. Staff was nice but we won't stay there again.
After reading some reviews after booking our stay I was worried... we arrived & the staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, a/c worked great, ice machines worked. I found no merit to some concerns addressed in others reviews. Yes this is a older motel but not rundown & I would stay again. We were courtside (across the street) & it was very peaceful. Nothing
it reminded me of Gatlinburg when I was growing up. Simple, clean motel. Off the parkway so it was nice and quiet, but still just a short walk to the main drag. AMAZING pool!!! Unbeatable price, and super friendly staff. We will be back!
The location and the indoor pool were great. Our room was very small and smelled like mildew/mold. The hotel is very outdated and not very clean. The Wifi did not work most of the time and the shower water kept going from scalding hot to cold without touching anything. We also were put in a "pet friendly" room, which I would NEVER stay in again. If I had known that part of the hotel was "pet friendly" I would have never booked there. We will never stay at this hotel again.
Ask for the creek side rooms with balconys! Hearing the creek from your room was great. Their indoor pool is what sells this place for me and my family. It's a fun pool, with waterfall and hot tub. You can't beat the value for the location and amenities. It's not very fancy or new, but if you're not a fancy person then you'll love it.
Our stay was great. We would definitely stay again. Rooms were very nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Pool area was great as well. Best thing was it's location to downtown we were able to walk every where just about. Only complaint would be that their towels were to small.
Very affordable, close to the shopping strip & attractions but a little more of a walk than I expected especially with small kids! I think our kids liked the pool more than they liked the actual vacation itself! I was happy to stay there though! The pool wasn't very easy to access at all, our room we were given at check in had not been cleaned up from a prior maintenance job but the front desk took care of us right away and put us in another room. We ended up being by the creek which was really nice.
The location was within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg. The cleanliness of the room could have been better.
Staff very friendly and helpful older but bang for your buck, beds clean and comfortable and bathroom clean decent breakfast selection, overall very pleased with stay there, I was there to ride motorcycle in the park so my needs were comfortable bed and clean bathroom I only slept and showered didn't need room accommodations like being home just needed clean, location is close enough to walk uptown to eat with no issues Carpet worn but that's expected with the volume of people that stay in Gatlinburg, and small issue with shower head leaking from crack in screw on connection
The girls at the counter we nice and helpful. The view and location was great. It was quiet. It was good for us as we were not around all day as we only slept there mostly. The pool is nice. The breakfast was boring. I bought eggs and meat and made them in the microwave every morning to give us more for day. They are renovating so I'm sure it will be nicer when it's done. The wifi was awful I had to go to the front desk area to to use it. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay it's fine but if you are hanging around then upgrade to a better place. There is no coffee maker or microwave in rooms only a fridge.
I looked for a cheap place to stay, and that's what this is. Not the Ritz, but when you want cheap, what do you expect? We slept, there was a fridge, hot water, towels. We survived. :) It's located within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg, and that's pretty much what I wanted. No ventilation in bathroom makes for a very steamy shower (and very quiet bowel relieving process, if you get my drift.) The sink was sorta falling off the wall. Ordered a king bed, got two queens. (Not end of the world, just use one for recreation and one for sleeping!)
It had a fireplace. White stuff on the curtains, holes in curtains, not enough parking spaces, there were spaces taken up by debris and those that weren't guests. We had make our own parking space. Old mattresses and chair were in the parking lot. All I could think was, "I hope they don't plan on taking those mattresses back in."
I bought two rooms at noon on the same day we needed to stay. We arrived shortly after I made the reservation and the desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the rooms were not ready yet but we really didn't expect them to be as it was just about noon. When we came back at 3 they were ready. We found them to be clean and well cared for. No complaints at all Nothing
These guys just recovered from a natural disaster. The city had just burned down a month before our stay, and all things concidered they had done a bang up job getting things back to order. Only thing that got over looked was a problem with the cable box.
Room was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was within walking distance of where we wanted to go.
Price was right Rooms smelled musty and old
Staff was nice, pool was enjoyable for my kids, and location was very convenient The room was rough. It had outlets that were hanging out of the wall that we could shake and cause the lights to flicker. The bathroom tub was cracked and chipped. The beds were very hard and none of my family of 4 got much sleep on them. The "breakfast area" was the size of a walk in closet with several waffle irons and toasters which made it too hot to go in, and the couple of tables they had were always full so my family never had a place to sit.
It was close to town. The beds were very uncomfortable, bathroom was in bad shape, plugs didn't work and the room had a bad oder.
1/4 mile walk to mall Where to start! Rooms need updating bad! Hard beds, Old tv, lights over the sink wouldn't come on. Shower head spraying in every direction. Water stain in roof tiles, tolite handle broken, bathroom heater switch was turned side ways. Not good not good at all
My family didn't like anything about this hotel The hotel was NASTY we walked into the office and there was roaches all over the floor. We thought we would give them a chance and went to the rooms. The beds had blood in the creases of the bed along with bugs. We immediately went to the lady in the office and she called us a liar so we asked for our money back (we booked three rooms for five days) she refused to give us our full refund and charged us for one night per room and was really rude about it. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone.
The outdoor pool is shut down and green . Looks like a frog pond!!! The hotel is pet friendly and we had a dog turd on our balcony upon check in and one in the carpet right by the dining table!
Room was clean and very spacious. In-room whirlpool tub was relaxing. Staff was very pleasant to deal with. Balcony was covered with spider webs. Fireplace in the room didn't work. There was an issue with the elevator as we left out so we resorted to walking down then climbing 5 flights of stairs.
The food choices were excellent. Th shows were funny and entertaining. Some very good talent. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. Our room was clean. The staff was nice and very helpful. Traffic was very heavy. There are alternative routes.
The room was large with two king comfortable beds and jacuzzi in room. I loved the bacony to watch the tubers and the geese in the river. Great location too and very quiet. My pet dog loved it too. The windows were large to view outside activity. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Enjoyed our stay plan on returning here one day. The only thing i didn't like was the elevator smelled of urine r cholrine couldn't decide. Carpets need to go just plain floor would work.
The rooms was great i took my fińace and my brotherand his girlfriend down for the weekend had no problenms The indoor pool is to small and the outside pool wasn't open small trade though for good rooms
The Jacuzzi tub Everything was poorly maintained. The door to outside patio didn't latch.
I didnt pay what the rooms actully go for thank goodness. We read on line it had breakfast, it doesnt and when asked the staff were rude. They advertise 2 pools, there is only one and it is small.
Loved the hot tub. Room was bright and for the most part clean. Room was evidently cleaned very fast. Beds were sloppy. found a childs sock under the front of the bed skirt. But everything else was ok.
We were really excited to be traveling for the weekend just to get away. The pictures online make the motel look very nice. Once we arrived, we noticed that there was only ONE pool open, although online it seems there are TWO functioning pools. Of course the one that was open was absolutely packed! When we finally made our way to our room, it wasnt too bad; I have stayed in worse, but you could tell it had hardly been actually cleaned in some time now. As far as the price though, guess we just got what we paid for. I personally will probably spend a little bit more money and stay somewhere else next visit!
The river view , jacuzzi tub, and fireplace The bottom outside of the toilet wasn't clean and the balcony outside was full of spiders at night. Other than that it was very peaceful
They waited for us to check in before they closed the front desk. Low to no staff, dirty overall, very outdated, the pool was closed due to costruction, the whole facility was under construction. My wife and I pulled up and jusy said " oh no" it was midnight we were tired and we were going to have to go in.
The staff was very friendly, the rooms were great and the location was great also.
I like the convenience of everything near by. I didn't like, that a i wasn't able to have internet in the room.
Location Bugs in room, duct tape in shower, wash cloths plugging holes in ceiling tiles, staff not friendly or efficient, ice maker not working, no parking due to concert being held in parking lot.
The location is the best you can find for all the attractions! The wifi wasn't that great.
I liked that the room was ready earlier than stated. It was quiet during the night and we slept well. I was surprised that they were full to capacity most of our days but still very quiet. For the money, I will book here again. No problems at all. The only thing that we experienced was the free wi-fi was not good. We only got a signal one night. That is usually not a problem but still had some work-related business to check on during the week and could not get a connection.
Location was great have stayed here 2 other times and was great then. Checked in went to room and it hadn't even been cleaned. Then the next day they took all the towels and they never cleaned the room that day nor brought back any towels had to go and get our on towels.
Loved the location, price, free breakfast, and the rooms. Wifi didn't work half the time. Chain broke on door.
The fron desk staff were nice. Chemical smell was so bad that We had to change rooms. I have been sick since being in the room. Neither room was even close to clean. We went to another motel and stayed the next night. Breakfast was not good. The staff were nice and that is about all that place has going for it.
Thebed was comfortable. The room was clean. I was not a fan of the breakfast. The eggs were not real eggs. Yuck! There was apparently a squirrel somewhere in the ceiling. I got quite a scare when I heard it squeaking.
My husband and I walked to the island and even several shopping centers. It is very centrally located to lots of fun things to do. Perfect for pushing our son in his stroller instead of taking the time to pack him up into the truck. Pool was very nice but needs more shade for little ones. Only two small umbrellas were available. The place was an older hotel but you can tell they were doing updates to it. There were several flat screen tv boxes in the dumpster that was close to our room so you could tell they were in the process of doing some updates.
Every one at the front desk was nice and polite After reading some of the reviews thought it was going to be a bad place, ask the front desk if we could see the rooms before we checked in. They gave us the room keys and allowed us to check the rooms out, everything was in good shape.
The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. The location was great. We will definitely stay here again. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom was extremely small.
The staff was great and helped anytime we had a question, the beds were some of the best that I have slept on in Gatlinburg and the creek was nice to listen to at night. We will definitely be staying there next time Could not connect to the wifi at all but everything else was great
The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. When looking it up on Mapquest it had is in the center of all the shopping on parkway not on the east parkway a bit of a walk.
When we complained about waking up in bugs and the water leak in the bathroom, the GM was kind and started a full refund process. Waking up with bugs in the bed.
The only room left on Kayak under $200/night. I now know why. The room smelled, was tiny, had ants, shoddy repairs, mold on the bathroom ceiling, loose fixtures. I could keep going. We left a night early and ate the final night's cost.
Clean rooms. Efficient check-in. Ample parking. Good location. Good staff. Thin walls. Holes in wall where headboards were previously attached. Minor water damage on ceiling in bathroom.
the location is great, too bad the property is in such badly needed repair. Beds were horrible and uncomfortable. Old building and mold in the bathroom. I would not stay in this location again and will tell everyone Do Not Stay at this hotel, it is not a good reflection of your brand for Value and Quality. This property should have their franchise pulled until they can meet the higher standards of cleanliness and upgrade the facility. Paint alone does not account for upgrade
The bed was comfortable; but it was supposed to be a king-size, yet it was shorter than my full-size bed at home. The hot tub was nice. The desk attendant never smiled, until I was just about to walk out the door. Wasn't welcoming at all. When I got there, there was only one "housekeeper" on duty. Had to wait for someone else to check out before I could go to my room; and when the crappy desk attendant suggested going somewhere and coming back later, I had to tell her TWICE that I couldn't just walk off and leave my luggage because I had taken public transportation to get there and the van had already left. When my room was "ready," there was pubic hair in the tub and on the dirty toilet tank. The bathroom was ridiculously tiny; the caulking was super messy and looked like a five-year-old had done it; and the faucet wasn't working, so I had to let the shower run for an eternity to in order to fill up the tub--AFTER I had to clean it myself! The tables down by the pool were dirty and the paint was half chipped off. The paint job in and around the pool was very badly chipped and made the place look like crap (and did not make the place look professional or inspire me to come back). When I saw the horribly filthy lounge chairs, my immediate thought was, "You're kidding me. You actually expect me to sit on THAT?!" The actual facility looked NOTHING like the really nice pictures and it did not live up to the reviews. I chose this place because of those things and because I got a decent price. Next time I go on a writing retreat, I'll spend more money to go someplace nicer.
The staff was friendly, room was clean and well kept. Would have been nice to have breakfast but there are a lot of places nearby to eat. Overall a good value for the money. Parking was tight, no assigned spaces.
Nothing! This was the worst motel management I have ever seen. Understaffed, dirty rooms, and above all, non-caring owners. Had to wait 2 hours after check-in time for them to get our room clean. Asked to speak with the owners who were on site and they did not come to speak with me. The 2 days we stayed we were not contacted by the owners about our problem. I will not use Kayak or any other service who lists this motel.
Clerk at front desk was very friendly and suggested some good restraunts in the area. Room was nice, and clean. No hot water for shower in the morning. Very cramped bathroom. Problems with the TV and microwave.
We only had a very short stay when arriving we had a good ways to walk to the room with luggage opened the door and the smell of mold was so bad I started choking. When I told the clerk she was like ok, so she didn't care anyway. Not enough to stay again.
Love the listening to the creek when I open the door. The internet did not work in our room.
Clean, very nice personel, great pool, good coffee, close to everything. There dog walking area needs upgrades badly.
Right by the main strip, but it is Gatlinburg. Small town, so everything is in walking distance. There was no alarm clock, my room smelled like body odor. The shower was built for kids under 12. There was only soap, no shampoo. They offer free wifi, but it was down a lot and when it was up, it would constantly boot me. Would not stay here again.
This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. The room was clean spacious and up to date. No elevator have a bit of trouble with stairs but we'll worth it
There was no hot water. The desk clerk was very rude when I let him know about it. I had reserved a smoking room- which was not available when I checked in.
Location was great. Quiet area. Pillows on the bed are very small. Bathroom could use a good bleaching to get rid of some mildew
This hotel is the right around the corner from the entrance to the park, so it is a great option for those who plan to do some hiking. It is very affordable and provides all necessities.
I liked that they had a bidet although it didn't work. The room had a musky smell. The tank on the back of the toilet leaked every time you flushed. We went up to the mountains for a restful weekend but unfortunately we did not receive that because the walls were very thin and there was a family that was living in the room adjacent. A child proceeded to scream and run around the room beside us. AT about 6:00 am the next day the child was up running around yelling woo-hoo again and would not stop. In communicating with the family next door we were told by said child that he lived there and there was nothing we could do about it. The office was closed on Sunday so we could not check out or get any help. We left the key in the room and moved to another hotel nearby.
Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds.
We asked for a wake-up call on Tuesday for 6.30 am cause we had a family reunion in North Carolina and we didn't get So we missed it That's the only thing that made me me Cause the guy at night said we would get it My family was upset
Room was very nice for the money. Wi Fi is basically non existent.
The staff was really nice. However, The sheets were stained. Our Shower leaked out into the floor and made a huge mess. The people beside us had 3 really Large dogs that barked. There was no comforter on the bed. Not much parking. 3 very small pillows. Trashy and slummy people hanging around outside. Made me uncomfortable to go outside after dark. The carpet in the rooms were disgusting.
The Staff was excellent and very enjoyable.
Very easy to get in and out of and close to the Dixie stampede and Krispy Kreme as they are the two places we ALWAYS go to!! They only give two pillows per bed and they flatten out as soon as you lay down.
very nice hotel but wear wifi fair
Nothing This was the absolute worst place I have ever stayed at. Bed sheets were stained, mattress was stained. Gross. Room was very musty. No hot water Sat night and was told that there was nothing they could do. They didn't care and the owner was oversees. The maids were fighting and one quit on Sat. Impossible to get towels, not sure why they even came in the room. Carpet is so stained an nasty. I didn't even get to let my 1 year old play with toys on the floor. Had to keep her on the bed. You know how hard that is. I know it is winter months but the pool was green and I could tell it hadn't been maintained in a long while. In our room there was a block of wood attached to the door for the lock. If I were you I sure would NOT list this business on my site.
Close to attractions Dirty room, ac did not work
We didn't want to sleep in the beds because the room was extremely dirty. The building was literally falling apart. Spend a little more money & stay somewhere else.
Location I booked a 2 queen bed room and they put me in a single bed my son is 17 and had to sleep on the floor. I Tried to show the lady my receipt but she said I booked a single. Which was a lie. Never again would I stay there and would never suggest anyone stay there.
The room was clean. There was a metal stripping hanging half off the door so we could see daylight under the door. The pool was in need of repair it wasn't well taken care off. The hot tub was broken with nasty stagnant water sitting in it. There was no ice bucket, they gave cups with no plastic over them. It reminded me more of an apartment building instead of an hotel. There were more people who lived in the hotel than there were was guest. The ones who lived there had their clothes hanging all over the balcony their bikes chained to the railing. It was a mess. Worst hotel we've ever stayed in. We won't ever be back that's for sure.
Location They first said I didn't have a reservation even though I was showing him my print off. After he finally decided to give us a room, the room smelled like mold and the bathroom faucet know was on the side of the tub. Went to desk and got another room. This one wasn't much better. Room was extremely stinky. Bathroom didn't look clean. Towels and sheets were dingy and stained. Then my husband pulled back covers and there was a bug in the bed. And elevator has over an inch of standing water in it. Needless to say we left and stayed somewhere else.
I didn't like anything about it Check in is at 3pm, we arrived at 8pm and had to wait till 11:30pm to get room because they weren't clean yet, door key wouldn't work 2nd night so my family was waiting outside in the cold whil they fiddled around making a new key, Toilet wouldn't flush, surroundings very noisy including the tenants and maids, breakfast was completely horrific.
