Very slow service for bar food, which was of poor quality. Shower water was cold/luke warm.
It was easy to find.It was very close to the motorway and it was very easy t5o get away from The hotel was quite possibly the worst (decor, service, food, facilities, staff and parking) I have ever experienced-anywhere in the world.
...only the kind staff Everything...except the staff. Old, dusty hotel. HORRIBLE rooms and bathrooms... Stay only if its an emergency and if you just need 1 night to visit someone around that area near the so called "hotel"...or maybe Dracula's Manor.
The spaciousness of the hotel and its relative quiet. Room furnishings. Yes. the bathroom was not clean and had no soap, the passages and stairs needed new carpets and paintwork. There was no TV changer and none was supplied during a two day stay. Staff were reluctant to put meals and drinks on to the hotel bill and asked for cash. The carvery food was second rate by carvery standards. Check in was slow and confused.
on both occasions the bathrooms were dirty. on the first occasion the wake up failed to matieralise.
Clean adequate and comfprtable. My room was also very quiet. Nothing
used it as a stopover for an early flight the following day, good value with plenty of affordable holiday parking options
We only used the Hotel for a stop-over for a flight from Gatwick. It was very convenient with the transfer bus and this was the reason we booked the Hotel N/A
Nothing stands out as being particularly special. The hotel was adequate for what we required, stop over for Gatwick airport.
reception staff friendly helpful and efficient. room comfortable and spacious, generous tea/coffee/toiletries. bar comfortable and relaxing, food good value, breakfast wide choice and well cooked. thought leisure facilities were included in price as in blackpool cliffs. disappointed to find they wernt. welcoming staff at breakfast was a little sharp in her interrogation of if youd paid. could have been handled, more tactfully.
Practical and comfortable
Staff were very friendly and helpful and the Guest House had a very good, relaxing atmosphere.
Clean and friendly sharing breakfast table with strangers. No tea making facilities in room. Rather dated in decor.
Selection of food available, some missing items on restricted menu.
Spotlessly clean - you would struggle to find a speck of dust! Very friendly, courteous and efficient couple run this guest house. Ample parking. This place would have been amazing in 1985 - fine if you don't mind dated décor. The breakfast could be improved.
No good points Run down. misrepresentation via website. dirty. unsafe (fire hazards, trip hazards)
Only the location in respect to our destination (Iffield) The bathroom facilities were poor. The breakfast quality was poor. The room did not have double glazing. The bed linen and furnishings do not match and there is no homely feeling.
Close proximity to Gatwick, ease of access. Helpful staff. Being able to leave my car during my holiday. Strong smell of central heating oil in room.
Close to airport, nice spot
The location was reasonably quite with only a little aircraft noise from the nearby airport. My room was very small and had a strong smell. However when I complained, I was moved to a double room. This had a small childs wardrobe that was not tall enough to hang my suit carrier. The bathroom was outside the room but private, except there was no lock on the door. The quirky furniture was not too my taste, but the bed was comfortable. Rugs on the floors were horribly dirty, and I made an effort not to stand on them in the bathroom.
clean bed linen, secure car park peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, no complimentary bath soap or shampoo, train noise, faulty shower, cold breakfast, dated decor, fried food odour
Fantastic setting, well furnished rooms and great service
Every thing. The atmosphere. Just every thing is perfekt for a weekend stay with your wife
due to this nice garden and anchient atmosphere cold floor in a bathroom
Great hotel...all very good.
I was very late coming in , but I had a very warm reception and was taken to my room very quickly , it was very homely and I was so sorry I only spent one night . My phone was ringing all the time , only to discover somehow calls were coming to my room not reception . Also the cold water didn't work in the shower . I did let them know
Friendly staff, attentive and efficient. No milk in the room for tea or coffee.
The personal attention and quality of accomodation
A beautiful hotel set in great location. Will have to take the wife there sometime!!
Truly one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff is extremely kind and professional, and my room was magniificently decorated. The bathtub was even big enough for me, and at 6'3 that's rare to find. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet, and the hotel grounds are gorgeous and well kept. I hope to have a chance to stay again someday for more than a one night visit.
It is a very convenient setting for Gatwick airport but the actual building and surroundings are beautiful. the room was very stylishly furnished. a luxurious bathroom and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A real gem.
wonderfully comfortable beds, gorgeous bathrooms. Very helpfull staff, and the most excellent breakfast I've ever had! Needs to have lighting that comes on when you walk round to the suits in the dark.
The staf were very pleasant and helpful, the room was comfortable and warm and certainly value for money My bed was not made at all or the sheets changed in the 3 nights I stayed there and neither were the coffe/tea replenished. I was surprised that they did not have wifi or free to view TV but only the 5 Terestrial staions.
Very friendly staff. Overall this is a hotel whose staff are trying hard to do well and getting it right.
Very friendly people.
Friendly and helpfull staff
Good location and price. Good Friendly Service None really, although it would have been handy to have a mirror on the dressing table
quite and welcoming, staff were helpful. Limited parking
staff was nice all the time. A bit of a language problem I guess. Had a problem to get to operate the safe but the gemtleman could not figure it out, but no big deal anyway. and 2. the wide angle lens of the camera sure does a good job in disguising the truth. The room looked spacious on the website, but once we experienced it , was a different story. Quite small I must say but it was clean , just that one gets a different impression when you see the pics on the website.
rooms were great, clean & tidy plenty of Tea & coffee resonable room service if required nothing
Excellent service - nice clean room Difficult to find - put the full address on the website
Location, comfort, friendly atmosphere. I liked everything.
Clean, comfortable and 'chilled.' nothing
the staff were accommodating and helpful, really nothing seemed too much and my room was extremely comfortable and clean parking was tricky but this was quickly organised by the Ambers in their own carpark
Vert good hospitality and good location and nice breakfast. The owners are nice people, ready to do anything for you.
Comfort, friendliness and good food
We stayed in the family annexe which was fantastic as we are a family of 6 we would normally have to book 2 or 3 hotel rooms.
This hotel was close to Gatwick and the free shuttle to and from the airport was a great feature. We also had a rental car and this hotel was very close to the rental car drop off. From the drop off we could just walk to our south terminal. This B & B was clean, had a very good breakfast and we could walk to downtown and a number of eating establishments. (Six Bells Pub-excellent)
The very friendly host who went out of his way to pick us up from the train station, and arrange our return trip. The room was comfy, clean and pleasant and we appreciate being served an early breakfast with great coffee so that we could catch an early flight.
Excellent breakfast and excellent porter service fron airport. Getting up steep staircase with luggage. Should have been offered downstairs accommodation or told about the stairs
TV control doesn't work
very clean / friendly staff limited wine list that was overly expensive.
the room was clean and tidy on arriving at the hotel you have to pay for your car parking even for the time you are staying in the hotel. The hotel even those it has a 4 star rating there is no one to take your bags and show you to your room
First time I have had to pay for a shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel. The whole point in staying near the hotel is that normally you get free courtesy transport
The room was very clean and comfortable. The que for checking in was quite long and we waited a while.
Absolutely aweful service, terrible customer relations, poor food.. no choice. Room service was a joke! Had to help other customers...
restful & quiet atmosphere, giving us time to unwind after a hectic 6week tour of the U.K.. Staff were helpful & very pleasant,& food was great.
Convenient location Noise of air conditioning system, inability to get fresh air into room, always having to wait for attention at reception
Location poor from airport ....No Air con in rooms and windows couldnt open .Water cold in shower ...a dreadful experience for a Ramada Hotel .
It was fair stay but not comfortable......the service must improve ...also the menu must be changed and finally the stafff must inform their customers about the breakfast time,we asked the reception and they said breakfast is served till 10.30pm and when we came down at 9.30..they advsied that it's finished... service and menu....
Very close to Gatwick Airport. Helpful, friendly staff. Very nice hotel. As window didn't open, had to leave air conditioning on all night which was very noisy, so didn't sleep very well.
It's in a great central location, so you can go out in Crawley & eat/drink/shop etc. Even though it's next to the railway line, we didn't hear the trains. Hotel decoration lovely, very clean, very helpful staff and it has excellent facilities. Our room was very spacious & they'd thought of everything. En-suite was huge compared to other hotels, it had a separate bath & shower. Lots of thought had been put into the design & comfort of the room/hotel. Really pleased with the hotel & we'd definately stay there again, especially if we were taking our daughter, as there are connecting rooms. Also have a shuttle bus to Gatwick airport which is really close by, but again didn't hear any noise from the planes.
Clean and wide room very low water pressure from the tap
The staff is very friendly and hard working The trains are very loud
Easy to find location from website and is signposted when on the approaching road. Polite friendly staff and clean hotel.
Very near the railway station -
close to station, high standrad of facilities, excellent food.
the mattress and bedding was excellent paying for the parking
Charged for 2 breakfast but was alone. Should have asked me first before charging.
wide and clean room The reservation through Arora hotel web site does not work.
Convienent location Dreadfull catering & and catering staff
Generally good, but WiFi sign in system a hassle and card swipe door keys real pain rarely if ever worked first time and usually took 3-4 tries at least.
Everything provided that was needed and rooms clean. No. other than we had to lift our cases into the car taking us to airport (we are not young people) but the driver was female so there was no way round it.
Clean - nice room with ensuite - quiet - friendly
Friendly and helpful staff, good service, hotel facilities clean and in good order, no problems. None apart from the weather!
Easy to book, location was excellent for walk into town and proximity to Gatwick. Lodgings were clean and in good order The bed was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in.
This hotel is excellent for flights from Gatwick.the Management and staff are both friendly, courteous and helpful
Pleasant and friendly staff; Easy to find location; Enjoyable breakfast; Generally, very clean throughout. Guest House staff didn't know we had booked and it was a bit embarassing on arrival; Very cold in the bedroom, with no portable heater available, when asked.. Decor, is 'dated' and tired throughout some of the Guest House
they kindly allowed me to store my bags between check-out and my late afternoon flight. the bathroom was very clean. lovely house. •WIFI: the wifi internet was super slow, and then shut down entirely. unacceptable in a developed country. •DIRTY: there was a old fan in the room that turned on, but didn't blow any air. the wiring around the fan was entirely coated in dust. disgusting. it clearly had not been cleaned in months, which shows a lack of attention to detail. •CHECKOUT: checkout is at 10am. considering people have afternoon flights, would it really kill them to allow guest to checkout at 11am or noon? i never heard of a 10am checkout at such a small guest house. •ODD: the owner quoted a 7 pound taxi to the airport but it was 8. i don't care about the money, but this again shows a lack of attention to detail considering they must send several people to the airport daily. not knowing the price of such a core part of the stay seems strange.
My daughter and I stayed. Lovely place!
near the airpot cheaper then going to London and overnight rather old matresses on beds
Close proximity to Gatwick. Also had a train stop close by. The bed was not so comfortable. Very lumpy.
free parking charged extra for credit card although not stated in booking.com , heating was not working , Unclean room , internet down , early checkout and staff not friendly
it was IN the airport terminal The terminal is DEPRESSING. No WINDOWS! It’s like a little luxury prison cell. There was no private area in the hotel to do online work, went to one of the more human feeling pub-like restaurants.
Very comfy bed and very friendly staff! Shower wasn't separated from the rest of the bathroom, so the entire bathroom floor was soaked.
Our room was very cold on arrival due to the heater not working but this was soon remedied when a member of staff checked it and then gave us the option of moving to another room, which we did. We were also impressed with the convenient connection to the airport, with buses running every 30minutes.
Helpful courteous staff. Good level of noise (not intrusive) Problems with Wireless Internet access which meant I couldn't use.
Proximity to the airport and ease of catching courtesy bus.
Very good restaurant and menu; staff were helpful and pleasant
Slept!! Double bed too small
The food I had at the bar was good, and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. The AC didn't appear to be working in my room (only warm air would blow out), but the window opened, so I didn't feel the need to contact anyone about it.
Ease to get to the Airport The sound of the elevator woke me up several times in the night and when I shifted myself the bed moved around, get rid of the wheels.
The beds are so comfortable and soft.
The hotel did exactly what it said, it was clean, efficient and well situated for our needs. The food was well presented, albeit we thought that the standard was not up to the standard of the presentation, we thought the food to be too bland. But nevertheless it did sustain us.
Had our Christmas party there. Food and disco nice. Had a good time.
The best part was the access to the airport which allowed us to wake up and check in easily. The location was fantastic and the staff were very very helpful. Will definitely use this hotel everytime i am flying out of gatwick.
Staff were friendly. Room very clean. Beds comfortable, not sagging in my middle as some are. Excellent location for Gatwick airport travellers. Good restaurants. Priced reasonably. They view! But cannot help that. But the large windows were nice.
location to the terminal restaurant was expensive
Convenient location on airport Price of room service breakfast
location was why I selected this hotel. location was excellent Very expensive!
The Softel is less than five minutes walk from the Gatwick check-in desks via a slopped covered walkway. The staff were efficient and the atmosphere throughout warm and friendly. An excellent place to spent the before an early flight, I would definitely stay again.
The lovely atrium and the easy access to Gatwick airport together with helpful and friendly staff.
Ease of accessing the internet
There wasn't anything not to like. We arrived at 7.00 pm and left at 5.00 a.m. Did not like the restaurant. We booked a table and the food was not up to the standard we would have expected.
The location is excellent. Staff were efficient but a little arrogant. Problems connecting to the internet in the room. The connection was very slow. The location of the room safe at floor-level is ridiculously inconvenient. The safe did not work. I'll try the Hilton next time.
Ease and access to airport None
Location was good for our needs. Good friendly service from staff all round. I have stayed here many times over the years and I still have the one same negative comment. It is the multitudinous fire doors. Yes, I understand they are needed, but: need there be so many, and even more important, do they have to be a strength test to open them! This hotel has the most entry resistant fire doors in the UK!!
quaintness of the setting and hotel facility. Closeness to the airport
loved it not really i enjoyed it
Hospitality and friendliness of the staff. Additionally, it is ideally located for easy access to Gatwick Airport - good shuttle bus service available. nothing
The whole place
Mould around the bath tiles - not what we expected from a four star hotel. Cot was a basic travel cot and not a proper one.
Quiet location, easily accessible to Gatwick airport, breakfast choices plentiful, courteous and helpful staff. Our room had an unpleasant odor, as if someone had been sick and the carpets had just been cleaned and weren't quite dry. Just our impression, otherwise everything else was in order. Would have liked screens on the window because we had to air the room. No complaints.
quitetness of the hotel club room was a bit small
friendly, traditional English atmosphere A little bit in need of modernisation and full internet connection in rooms
Convenience, good staff, well presented, and guests reasonably quiet so one could get a restful stay Facilities around the hotel limited golf course, pitch and putt or something similar would be nice for those staying more than 1 day. Archery, suggest extend the jogging trial to a countryside walk etc.
This is the second time we have used Rosemead and on both occasions we have been delighted with service received. We will use the guesthouse on future journeys without a doubt.
I liked that we could have breakfast at any time we wanted (e.g. 5.00) and that they ordered the taxi to the airport for us (and payed it).
Friendly and efficient owner. Excellent breakfast and convenient for early morning flights
Good value for the money, rooms were roomy for two adults and two children, excellent cooked to order breakfast, convenient to Gatwick airport. Decent selection of restaurants within walking distance. The bathroom had an unpleasant odor, but was clean.
I like the most facilities in room about the tea/coffee,hot chocolate with cookies and also cleanliness of the guest house. I had a good sleep. Have very limited vegetarian breakfast.
We were extremely comfortable. The room was very clean (smelled great) and dust free though a tad small but the bed was most comfortable. Teas, coffees and cookies greet you when you walk into the room..... wonderful idea. The bathroom was fabulously tidy and the shower was relaxing. The breakfast prepared by the host was fabulous. The grounds were pretty and secure. It was very close to Town where we shopped and within walking distance too nice eating places, pubs, and a laundertte and so we didn't rent a car. It was also very close to Gatwick Airport, the Horley Train Station and the buses. Taxis arranged by the hotel were on time. All in all, we made an excellent choice. It felt much like a home...less like a hotel.
Reception was very responsive to my e-mail queries. Room was comfortable and clean. Free wireless internet was a big plus. None.
Nice staff, tasty freshly cooked breakfast, nice garden, clean rooms, real English countryside house, free of charge shuttle to and from Gatwick. When booking this hotel please pay attention, that check-in hours are between 4 PM and 11 PM. If you arrive early you might not get in and better wait at the airport until check-in time.
Bed was comfortable and the place was decent Owner had very bad communication skills and acted as if we were intruding when we needed help with something. Heard afterwards from others that she runs people off with attitude.
In the room there was everything you could need from razors to a folder that had every takeaway/restaurant menu in the area.
the breakfast and the price beds were old and saggy
close to airport, reasonable price, clean room
I've stayed there many times, convenient, provide transport to airport and village nearby
The Neighbourhood to the airport, the transportservice from and to the airport, the breakfast was ready early morning the central heating of the room was not started in time, after request it was corrected immediately
Staff friendly Very bad insulation. I had a cold blow on my neck all the night and could hear the neighbor snoring like he was in my bed. The room was also stinking old smoke.
The web page suggested 'a charming glorified B&B". The reality was nothing of the kind.
Sink in bathroom very tiny with glass shelf above which covered half the sink so that when you cleaned teeth you hit your head!
The location is good for those having to catch a plane early in the morning. The pickup service is excellant. This is definitely a budget hotel, clean but basic.
The bar/restaurant was good. It was damp.
Did not like the shower. It was not possible to adjust the water pressure nor the spray direction. It came straight down, full force.
It is perfect for the night before flying as it is located at the airport. The breakfast was very nice. The air condition was a little bit noisy.
excellent location as we had an early flight from Gatwick airport south terminal
It was a very convenient location. You could walk straight through into the airport. The rooms were very dark, one small window, no mini-bar, very busy and you felt your journey had already begun( that airport feel ). Staff were very busy and room service meals were poor.
Proximity to airport The hotel is terribly maintained. Had to switch rooms twice due to bathroom related maintenance issues. They finally put me in a decent room on the executive lounge, which was OK but even that had its issues. AC was terrible and the spacing between the bathroom sink and faucet was very awkward, making it difficult to effectively wash your hands. All in all a pretty bad hotel. The staff was nice though.
Our reservation was not in the system. They did not give us access to Internet for our booking but we understood that free Internet would be included based on the booking criteria.
The best part of this hotel is that it is so close to the London Gatwick hotel it may as well be a part of it. Very convenient! There could be a few more amenities to may the stay more memorable.
The convenience of the location, the beds were very comfortable. Our air conditioner was broken when we arrived and the room was incredibly hot. The engineer was very nice and apologized quickly and requested a room change. It then took concierge a further hour to relocate us (10 rooms down the hall). At which point our children were completely starving and exhausted. The food in the garden restaurant buffet was mostly good, though expensive, but we were seated in a dark corner because we were a family, where the staff were already setting the tables for breakfast around us. Service was polite but very slow and waiters were unaware of the fact that children ate for free.
excellent location of hotel close to airport hotel far too noisy at night, with fellow guests making all the noise
Close proximity of gatwick airport Restarant/Cafe in the lobby was expensive - plus "hidden" 10% service charge.
Location and staff very old decor in room and bathroom, the bed was uncomfortable, missing towels and only one set of pillows were provided
The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We could only find one working ice machine in the hotel. The bed bugs we encountered weren't very pleasant either.
Location and very comfortable bef Everything is fine for me
its a crap
Free transfer and breakfast ıncluded ın faır prıce room very basıc and shower cabınet fılthy
other guests showing no reguard for others at 3 am when they got up to leave
Good staff Very noisy
I think I was lucky. It could have been much worse! Just stay away...I really can't be bothered to waste my time writing the negative points of this hotel...far too many
The absolute only thing we liked during our stay was the fact that it was so close to Gatwick airport, besides that- nothing. The website was very misleading. We arrived and gave our name and reference number yet he had no knowledge of our booking. i had to go on his computer and print out confirmation from my emails- but as i was doing this.. he found my booking amongst a pile of notes in his filing cabinet. We had to pay for the transfer to the airport the next day- on website it say its free. Room was not very nice at all, pillows still had hair on them from previous guests. As travellers we have stayed at quite a few backpackers and hotels yet this bed was like sleeping on the floor and this accomodation as a whole was the worst we've stayed at. Definately not worth the money we paid!!
All the staff were very helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Nothing The interior was old and battered, nothing like the photos on the website, very disappointing, cant stand the smell of curry!!
Convenience to airport. Quick courtesy car.
Good food and good service
Used as a one-night stopover and long stay car park during a week-long holiday flying from gatwick. The location was a 10-minute drive from the airport, and although the shuttle bus was 15 minutes behind schedule during the morning rush hour it was very quick for a pick up at the airport after midnight on our return. The hotel shows its age a little, but it's clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Would stay again. No complaints.
Should have had a room at the back and n ot fronting the road
I have used this hotel many times and the new owners are really making a difference its looking great and the staff are very pleasant
Pick up to and from airport. Poor understanding of the English language. Poor management and training of staff. Poor maintenance of facilities; windows didn't close, not redecorated after replacement of uplighter, gaps between tiles and bath. Expensive bar or dishonest staff?
very friendly staff as soon as you arrive lovely location rooms comfortable and warm dinner in the evening was a pleasure as was breakfast first class
good location good if only you are flying from Gatwick the next day. No worth otherwise.
short cut to gatwick aerport Room was very cold , bathtub didn´t work properly
We had an excellent meal in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly. We had a family room for 3 but it was very cramped. The bathroom window had clear glass and just a sheer net curtain, as it was facing the main road you couldnt use ANY facilities with the light on as it was too embarrassing!!
Friendly staff, good slick service to the airport Arrangements for collection from Gatwick and vehicle pick up on Sunday afternoon 21 October could have been better. Minibus was ready and waiting but we then waited a further 20 mins before leaving the terminal. In that time the minibus could have ben to the hotel and back again. My car keys could not initially be found. When they were found I was told the wrong location for the vehicle and had to wander around the compound looking for the vehicle until I found a staff member who told me it waws in a different location.
I liked the convenient airport transportation. Relaxing and friendly lounge in which to have a drink. Room was comfortable, clean and warm. Great place to stay to catch a flight at Gatwick. No complaints.
Very reasonably priced.
Lovely boutique hotel, clean, fresh with lots of character, will stay again.
friendliness of staff and Pub down stairs. I suggest people choose the continental breakfast!
Since we didn't need to use their 5 GBP shuttle service to Gatwick, their price was goodl. Bar nice but empty, did not try the food. Proximity to Six Bells pub was the best feature. Parking tight and tricky.
easy access to gatwick airport with pick up/drop off by the hotel. after europe did find it rather expensive to eat and bar prices very high, but this is england!
The young man who picked me up at the airport and checked me in was extremely helpful in pointing me toward some of the nearby sights I would otherwise have missed. Entire staff was friendly, helpful and just all-around nice. I loved the community, and the hotel's location, and the convenience of the airport transfers made entire visit outstanding. I would absolutely stay there again, and would highly recommend to others.
Ease of getting around, helpful and friendly staff, generally quiet location
Easy access to the airport with complimentary shuttle to and from. A nice breakfast included with room price.
An excellent hotel. Superb location with a fabulous atmosphere. Great staff.
I booked for 2 nights, flight problems lead to me missing my first night and arriving very late the next. On arrival I was lead to believe my booking had been canceled and the hotel was full After 2 hours I was given a room and my booking re-instated. Why was this necessary, I had a booking, I arrived, to wait until 3:30am to be given my room was almost unbelievable.
Check-in was quick and easy, room was very clean and new, despite being attached to the airport it was extremely quiet, and the wifi was excellent. The included breakfast was fantastic - huge and varied - much appreciated before an early morning flight. Also had dinner in the same lounge area the night before and all of the staff who served us were lovely. Highly recommend this hotel and will stay again. The only negative I can come up with is that it is in the north terminal and I was flying out of the south, but that's hardly much of an issue because the tram between the two is all of a 3 minute walk from the hotel door.
The staff are excellent Dina is an excellent host None other than the hotel is a fair way from the airport but the transfer bus is inexpensive at 3 pounds each way
Had a long wait on both nights for your staff to find our resrvation which wed had booked since dec.
It is very close to the airport and had a shuttle running directly from the hotel to the airport without stopping at any other stop. Very convenient for an early flight. The hotel has little to offer besides a bed for the night. There is very little around.
I found the staff very helpful. My room was vry clean and I enjoyed my stay. If the need arises I would be happy to stay there again
The staff were very helpful Difficult to find
Cleanliness was notable. I particularly liked the "pod" bathroom - good shower. Staff were friendly & happy to supply extra pillows & towels. Car parking was very unsatisfactory. Access to the upper car park is extremely tight - we were in a medium sized estate car and very thankful it was nothing larger. On return to the hotel finding no spaces on the ground floor we arain went up into the upper floor to find no spaces there either. Turning was not easy and then we found another car coming up the one-way ramp at the same time we were trying to get down, despite the green light being on for us! We were not at all impressed to then be told at reception that we had to drive to off-site parking some distance away and walk back to the hotel. Bearing in mind we had paid £5 for our parking and were at no time (booking or check in) told of the possibility that we would not get on-site parking.
Good value for price paid 5Mins from airport was quoted but if using airport transport this can be considerably longer.
The hotel receprionist was friendly and tried to accommodate us with our need for AC but failed because they only had heat available...in August! Despite advertising, there was no air conditioning.
The reception staff were extremely friendly and upbeat. Also, I was impressed with the cleanliness and modernity of the room. The shuttle bus is too small; there was a scramble to get a place in the morning.
The cafe menu was spectacular and would rival many restaurants that we use. Food was beautifully prepared, well presented and very tasty. Lack of a bath compared to other Ibis hotels we've stayed at.
price and excellent value for money everything was fine
