its very visible to town center.. good location
The central position of the hostel Windows could maybe double glazed to cut out the noise from the street.
Friendly staff, close to the city.. Room was alittle cold
the staff, the breakfast the lack of light near of the bed, to pay to be able to see tv. It is the first time I'm in your country and I don't have kettle in the room to be able to have a coffe
the staff were brilliant & the bar was fantastic me & my son loved it.only problem was rooms were too small and at the rate we were paying there was no tea/coffee in rooms and u had to pay for tv .as u get this in other hotels etc. we thought it was good area for pubs/nightclubs
the Bar Down Stairs, with Pool Table, Fruit Machines. They also gave us £1 off each drink We bought. i did not like the way we had to sleep on bunkbeds. i know the rooms are small and obviously your a hostel but Bunk Beds not really my Scene.
All was favourable except the early morning traffic next time I will have a room at the back! Probable slamming of rooms doors nothing a little oil would solve other whys home from home almost!!
Location - The Hostel was near to Central Station in Glasgow. The staff were efficient and friendly. The hostel had good security features such as lifts only able to be operated by Guests.
Generally clean. Our room felt secure and the room was clean. Beds were uncomfortable -- old and/or cheap mattresses. The toilet in our room did not work well at all -- trouble flushing, trouble refilling; we have to constantly tinker with it. Terrible smell of curry in the kitchen area -- overpowering.
Kind and courteous staff. free wifi. complete kitchen facilities. I got lost because the published address (fifth avenue, north west glasgow) was unknown to bus drivers and even to the information staff at the bus terminal.
The staff was wonderful and made us feel at home. The hostel was comfortable and a great deal.
inexpensive, clean, nice bathrooms, staff are very kind and accommodating, free WIFI, train station near hostel need to state what kind of dorms when you're booking (e.g. mixed, females only, etc.). Front entrance is alway locked and no entry available from outside - should provide an alternative entrance or a ringer instead of posting a phone number to call (what if traveller did not have a phone, battery died, long distance charges, etc).
I quite liked the person that I can only describe as the owners pet, whom I did affectionately nickname Gandolf I recently stayed in the Alba Hostel, Glasgow and would like to leave some feedback.
