Pros: Awesome hotel and the breakfast was everything you read about. We stayed in #14 for four great nights. Wonderful room. Great bed, great towels and robe. Pool and hot tub were awesome as well. Spa service was literally the best massages we’ve ever had.
Cons: Our only issue was some construction noise from across the street that started most mornings around 7am which was less than ideal but obviously out of their control. Their parking lot is small. If you have a large suv for your group be prepared, parking can be tight.
Pros: Great breakfast Wonderful location
Cons: First floor room was quite noisy at night due to walking above and thin floor/ceiling. Small room, not much room for luggage
Pros: Friendly staff. Pool was great to cool off in. Room was very comfortable and clean. Bottle of champagne for husbands birthday. Wine reception in evening. Breakfast was excellent!
Pros: Loved the outside sit down areas, the pool was nice. The breakfast was amazing!
Cons: I did not like the car parking under the hotel room. It made it feel like a motel.
Pros: Very good service, great breakfast and complementary wine.
Cons: It would be excellent if integrated into a bigger land not so much on top of the road.
Pros: Loved the staff and breakfast.
Cons: Next time will get a bigger bed.
Cons: Needs scent free soap in the bathroom.
Pros: Staff was wonderful (especially Kent!), breakfasts excellent, and overall a very relaxing trip
Pros: Service amazing! Food breakfast exceeded expectations special surprise. Great location
Pros: Breakfast is literally my favorite meal and Olea did not disappoint; I will stay here again just for the breakfast (to be fair, the pet-friendly rooms and patio/picnic area with wandering fawns helps this conclusion). I slept for almost 10 hours and I can't remember the last time that happened; there are truly serene and calm vibes at Olea. This is the perfect launching point for a day of wine tasting. We forgot our dog bed and food/water bowls but the staff had some to spare for us!
Pros: Breakfast was phenomenal.
Cons: I give up
Located in Glen Ellen, Gaige House + Ryokan is in a rural location, within a 5-minute drive of Mayo Family Winery and Quarryhill Botanical Garden. Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It’s gorgeous and super clean. It’s within walking distance to tasting rooms and restaurants. The bathrooms are amazing.
Cons: No dogs allowed so I can’t just come up for the night from SF with my fur baby which I would totally do.
Pros: I loved our room; clean contemporary design. Loved a fireplace and a sitting space outside. Nice casual restaurants with 5 minutes walk.
Cons: The floor in the bathroom was very cold. Our room was on the ground level. It would be nice to have sleepers. It will go nicely with the bathrobe:)
Pros: I liked everything about this charming boutique inn. The location, the staff, the visitors, and the food were all terrific. I am already looking forward to my next stay. It won’t be too long away! I
Pros: Jacquizz tub, bed was so comfortable, wine , cheese, saki, and cookies in the evening. Happy nice place to visit with other guests. Staff very accommodating. Breakfast is wonderfu
Pros: Super quiet, luxurious decor, complimentary wine and cheese platter, tea and home made cookies, as well as your choice of port or saki for a night cap was lovely. Inviting library / lounge with fireplace perfect for unwinding to ambiant jazz on a rainy night, and a tasty selection of options for breakfast with a lovely view of trees along the river.
Cons: The jetted tub was great - but it didn't drain well. Also the coffee maker in my room was not working.
Pros: The staff were amazing and met each and every one of my requests. The breakfast was exceptional one of the better breakfast I've ever had staying at a hotel. There is free wine and sake in the lobby!!
Pros: The bed was really comf. The coffee particularly good.
Cons: I believe the safe needs to be bolted down for security.
Pros: This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Literally every single thing about it was phenomenal. It's easily the greatest place we have ever stayed, and it's not even close. I would recommend the Gaige House + Ryokan to everyone!! It's amazing.
Pros: The staff was lovely and the rooms were gorgeous. I loved everything about it.
Cons: There were ants in the room. I understand why, it was the woodside suite and very close to nature but yeah not the cutest having ants on your stuff.
Pros: Quiet retreat. Friendly and helpful staff. Great happy hour and hot breakfast. Location is close to several vineyards and restaurants. Very clean well appointed room with comfortable bed!
Pros: The free wine, iced tea and biscuits is a nice touch. Not wine tasting but free wine!
Cons: We arrived at 9pm at night and there was no one at reception and key had been left in a locked box. We were not happy with our room on arrival but had no one to complain to. They did upgrade us to a beautiful room the next night but first impressions do count and they should forewarn people if they intend to do this.
Pros: Everything amazing facilities, staff were extremely friendly and great location.
Cons: Keep the Brits away, only half joking

Pros: The Kenwood Inn is a beautiful property with lush gardens, lovely pools and lots of nooks and crannies to sit and enjoy the ambience. The rooms are very well appointed.
Cons: The hotel is adjacent to Highway 12, so there is some traffic noise - especially if you are in a room on that side of the hotel. Breakfast was generous, but could use a little more attention to detail.
Pros: Beautiful setting with manicured grounds. Well appointed rooms with a fireplace
Pros: Beautiful grounds and very helpful staff that helped make our stay special, and assisted us with information about the local area.
Pros: I loved everything about the Kenwood Inn and Spa. Even the bed and pillows get a 5 star. The staff was very friendly, the landscaping is beautiful and the Italian/Mediterranean theme Is”is stunning.
Pros: Super charming and cozy.
Pros: Beautiful facility in a beautiful area, room was comfy, bed comfy, liked being able to open windows and a little bird flew in ... a little Tuscany flavor. Would go back again!
Cons: No elevators, didn't have help with luggage because I have a handicap, room service menu could have better offerings like fresh fruit, cheese, ... meat tray was just plain yucky,
Pros: Food, bedding, pretty design and gardens.
Cons: No spa appointments available. No TV. Not a sophisticated staff for a reasonably expensive hotel.
Pros: We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine and checked in quickly. Contrary to some other reviews, we were offered help with our luggage. The grounds and the hotel buildings are beautiful, our room was very spacious with a lovely fireplace and sitting area. We loved the pool and the hot tubs, and the breakfast buffet was quite varied and well stocked. We only spent a night, but once the spa is up and running again, it would be a great place to spend a quiet long weekend.
Cons: The evening wine and cheese was a bit limited, and it turns out it's also a sales pitch for a local winery. Being on a highway, you can't really walk (safely) to nearby wineries or restaurants (which are within walking distance), but we were able to get an Uber within 15-20 minutes.
Pros: Delicious breakfast.
Pros: Staff efficiency-cleanliness- warming pool- breakfast- fireplaces- our balcony- walkways -trellis- courtyard
Cons: No full length mirror in roomCan’t wait for our next trip back.
With a stay at Glen Ellen Inn in Glen Ellen, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Quarryhill Botanical Garden and Jack London State Historic Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The room is very comfortable and the location is good.
Pros: Very friendly and fun Innkeeper, Karen. Loved the Martini Bar! Fireplaces and hot tubs in each cottage added to the stay.
Pros: The setting is very nice - next to a creek that makes even more peacefully
Cons: The bed although comfortable was very creaky.
Pros: The outside surrounding very charming!
Cons: The only thing missing is no breakfast is served.
Pros: The cottages are behind the restaurant but very much feel like you're in a garden and are very quiet. Room was spacious and well thought out with coffee machine, fridge etc and plenty of toiletries. Very clean and nice decor.
Cons: It's a shame that breakfast is not offered on site. Narrow check-in time window.
Pros: Decor and location
Cons: No staff on site
Pros: We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed seeing our old clients. The location was great. The AC worked really well. The steam in the shower worked great which was great! (the bathroom was freezing in the AM). I love the creekside location- so beautiful. Love the unit itself- well laid out and plenty of room to spread out!!
Cons: The bed was hard as a rock and had no comfort factor at all. I could not get comfortable no matter what. (I felt like I was trying to sleep on a hospital bed.) My husband passed out and didn't notice until 6 am when he got up and took a bike ride! I should travel with my topper mattress!
Pros: Location was great, central for the Napa/Sonoma wine area. Attached restaurant was outstanding. Fireplace in room was romantic and 4 poster bed was very nice. Unit was quiet and bed was almost as good as home, albeit, a double and we are used to a king. Came with a fridge, and wine tasting accoutrements. We did not use the in room hot tub, but it looked very nice with all those jets. Towels and amenities were in abundance.
Cons: Only thing we missed was a couch or large chair. Small table and two wicker type chairs was all that was provided. No seating other then the bed or these two chairs for watching TV.
Pros: When management could only give us one cottage instead of two, Karen comped us generously with a gift certificate for their very nice restaurant. Christy, the bar tender and our waitress, was most pleasant and entertaining in addition to being very efficient. She enhanced our very enjoyable evening.
Cons: Due to a mixup in the reservation process, we could only get one cottage instead of the two I had reserved. Management,Karen, was very apologetic and helped us find another acceptable room at a nearby lodge.
Pros: Perfect spot for us - very spacious and well equipped
Cons: Nothing - really enjoyed our visit to the area - thanks!!
Located in Glen Ellen, Beltane Ranch is in a rural location, a 5-minute drive from Imagery Estate Winery and 7 minutes from Benziger Family Winery. Featured amenities include express check-out, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and coffee/tea in a common area.
Pros: location, garden and vineyard view, the beautiful old house, the excellent cooked breakfast. The chef makes something special every morning.
Cons: The house needs a thorough clean, can do with some repairs and is in urgent need of cobweb removal here and there, and some paint. We were invited to walk the working (bio) farm in the property: has great potential but needs cleaning and junk and trash removal, except for vineyards. Could not help the feeling that owner primarily wants to make money from the inn. That is fine, but investment is also necessary. ‘reception’ staff on morning shift did not acknowledge our presence and appeared clueless when asked a question. no fridge in room, but there is a wine cooler with only wine fir purchasing.
Pros: Gorgeous location. Really special.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and very helpful, the place was very clean and the common area were very nice with a fireplace.
Cons: We stayed in room #5 (floor level) and we could hear the people staying above us talking and walking (each single step). It was very hard to sleep well, we were not fan of the pillows and bed (I'm 6'1 and my feet were out of the bed). Hearing mouse between wall as well was not reassuring. The room lacked 2 relaxing chair to read and the bathtub as beautiful as it is was not practical at all. The breakfast was in my opinion over rated on booking.
Pros: The rooms were beautifully appointed and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The communal grounds were also beautiful!!
Pros: The whole property is stunning. The room was lovely as was the wrap around deck. I loved sitting on the porch swing and watching the beautiful garden.
Cons: Nothing. Only slight issue we had was getting an Uber which is no fault of the property.
Pros: Breakfast, location, gardens, ambiente
Pros: Breakfast and location
Pros: Very welcoming! We arrived at 10pm, the porch light was on, the heat and lights in our cozy, lovely room were on and the kitchen door open for us to have bedtime tea and homemade cookies... magical! Stars twinkling, frogs croaking, wrap around porch with big comfortable chairs, screen doors, beautiful gardens and oak trees...
Cons: Everything was perfect!
Pros: The food was excellent! The chef was personable and so sweet. After check out I left my pj's and they held them for me for a couple of days until I could pick them. I was embarrassed but they were so sweet about it.
Pros: The farmhouse was at least 150 years old. Lots of character. Excellent locally sourced food.
Cons: It was really hot that weekend and there was no a/c, but that just means more chilled white wine.
With a stay at The Jack London Lodge in Glen Ellen, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Quarryhill Botanical Garden and Jack London State Historic Park. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, an elevator (lift), and microwave in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Clean and adorable.
Cons: Expected more from a “lodge”.
Pros: Amazing location and beautiful property. Small and cozy town. Close to many wineries. We also immensely enjoyed Jack London park and museum nearby. Market with a great choice of fresh food and cute French bakery few minutes walk from hotel. Kids also were happy to make few splashed in the pool.
Pros: Great location
Cons: Floor dirty, pricey and “free” breakfast was subpar
Pros: Quit place Nice people are working here Close to the wine yards VERY NICE BAR
Cons: Rooms need maintenance Shower need maintenance Everything is a kind of old Restaurants close very early around 8:00 pm !!! Crazy
Pros: Very clean and quiet. The location was perfect.
Cons: Restaurant facilities could have been better.
Pros: Location, Peaceful, Beautiful. Lodging located in the heart of town, just off the Main Street. Quiet, no noise. Comfortable bed. Nice pool area. Highly recommend!
Pros: We did not have breakfast at the hotel but there appeared to be a good selection of breakfast items. There is a delightful French coffee shop within 2 minutes walking distance with a wonderful selection of coffee drinks and pastries.
Pros: Very small but well managed. They let me check in about 1:30 which was great! Pool and jacuzzi were clean. Room was clean and air conditioning worked. Nice front desk clerk and great saloon connected with hotel. All good restaurants were within walking distance. Parking was secure and available. Overall great hotel for the price!
Cons: Pool was not heated and fairly small. Upon arrival, I was parked by the front desk check in and one resident of the hotel (maids?) started honking so I would move my car. Very rude and not welcoming. Front desk clerk was friendly and provided good information about the town and attractions.
Pros: The Jack London Lodge is super clean and comfortable, with spacious rooms. It offers great amenities: free wifi, pool & hot tub, breakfast buffet, etc. We love the location in Glen Ellen, with easy access to Sonoma wineries, fantastic restaurants, and an amazing French bakery just a block away!
