Pros: We were transported back in time to pre-WW2 in this classic, renovated hotel. Bonnie and Clyde escaped from a room here. Located in downtown Gonzales, the Alcade is across the street from the 60's hip, Austin-style Templin Saloon/St. Paul Pizza. Next door at the bakery are tasty breakfast tacos and authentic pastries.
Pros: The staff was so awesome! Breakfast and rooms were phenomenal. So clean and we'll taken care of property!
Cons: No. I loved it!
Pros: Very clean hotel rooms. The staff was great & very accommodating. The breakfast was always plenty & tbh was just like any other typical breakfast. Didn't have any noise issues from the other people staying at the hotel.
Pros: It far exceeded the expectations I would have of an Inn. The room was clean - well decorated and had a stove plus microwave. Quiet place - great location for town and close to Luling/ river.
Cons: In the morning I discovered there were a few small bugs in the kitchen area crawling on wall - mentioned to desk. She said they spray but City will not allow to spray on their land next to them so hard to control - I would still recommend - No POOL:(
Pros: It was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Pros: The room was clean and roomy. Felt secure. I was located right over the main office area.
Cons: Other guest were extremely loud, running up and down stairs, hollering, playing and playing loud music. This went on until two in the morning. I was extremely disappointed that management did not walk the grounds or do anything about the extreme noise.
Pros: People very nice and place was very clean.
Cons: All was good except the other people staying. Some people have no real for other staying at hotels. They are loud and not letting others sleep. The hotel need to make sure that the noise is minimum and drinking inside. They were walking around they know.
Pros: The location and overall size - was on the way to the coast, and this was a little more than half-way for us.
Cons: Wish there were a mat for the bathtub - my husband slipped and fell out hitting the toilet seat and side of tub - has a big nasty bruse from his hip to middle of his back. When he tried to tell the front desk this was an issue, she cut him off...
Pros: The property and our room was very clean. The grounds were very well kept. When we cam into the office our check in was very quick.
Pros: Rooms were clean and quiet
Pros: Clean and friendly staff awesome breakfast would recommend anyone there

Pros: it was clean friendly service, good breakfast and well maintained.
Pros: Staff is friendly and the hotel is rather new.
Pros: rooms are nice.
Cons: Paid or my stay in advance for two days. The second day I was locked out of my room. Went up to my room on the second day with arms full of stuff. Had to go back down and get my keys fixed and the clerk behind the desk never said sorry. Room not cleane
Cons: Rude staff wrong room gave me a one bed room for 3 people had to. Change rooms the next day and tried to charge me again.
The breakfast in the morning was amazing. The staff at this location makes you feel like your part of their family. They were very kind and went out of their way to make you feel right at home.
Pros: We were touched by the sympathy letter we received from the management team at this hotel. We were in Gonzales for a funeral and we checked out, we found the letter with our bill. I'm customer of this hotel from now on.
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Great place to stay for a night; great value. Clean. Nice staff. Thoughtful of runners.
Pros: *Great unexpected amenities like makeup remover *Thoughtful - offered water and snacks for marathon runners in the morning *Comfy bed
Cons: No, it was perfect for what we needed - a night's stay before a half marathon.
Pros: Hotel was fairly new so room was very nice. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Located right by a highway. You could hear some vehicles driving by.
Pros: Great staff and clean. Parking a little short
