Good location, good facilities.
unfortunately during our stay the temperatures reached over 35 degrees and as the hotel didn't have air conditioning it was extremely hot and uncomfortable in our room, we opened the windows but then had to suffer the noise from outside including drunks coming home in the small hours. We had a young baby who couldn't sleep because of these reasons and so had to cut our stay short. Would go back but when weather much cooler!
The staff was freindly and helpful with an excellent breakfast. The location was terriffic!
Decently priced. Although there seemed to be many visitors in the hotel it gave an impression of being deserted. Common areas like the Bar seemed closed.
Close to everything in Goslar. Great restaurant in the hotel. Very comfortable and spacious room.
Location is great, Hotel staff excellent, Use of pool and sauna
English speaking friendly staff. Excellent meal from the restaurant. Short amble to the railway station or the city. Parking available - at a price. Excellent free indoor swimming pool etc. WLAN/internet cost € 8 an hour.Ok if on business expenses but outrageous compared to our 4 star in Eisenach where it was free and unlimited. Bought a watch from reception display but they couldn't find instructions or the case. Parking expensive compared to what I usually pay.
location, food, hospitality of staff
Good location in the other end of pedestrian zone in old town. Nice and clean rooms (at least business floor).
Location All beds are separate (no king or queen size beds) and very short (less than 1.9 meters). Rooms is not comfortable and old.Bathroom is very small even you are all alone in there =). Some smell in there.
Good localization. Friendly staff. Clean rooms and excellent breakfast buffet.
The Diners buffet and the breakfasts. That the hotel bar was closed ad2100 h.
Easy parking near citycenter. Excellent breakfstbuffet. More information about the city aviable at the desk.
We went for the most expensive room in the hotel, which was wonderful value for money, in a town that is sure to become a tourist hotspot. Excellent breakfast as well, only place I have seen that had vitamin tablets for the breakfast included Why have a cartoon painting of penises and vaginas in their most luxurious room! Ruined a very good stay. I have made a complaint regarding this and all they said was, oh we have an arrangement with the local art gallery. All the rest of the paintings were tasteful, just this one. I have no problems with paintings that are of naked people if they are true art and reasonably discrete, but this was macabre to say the least
The location of the hotel at the border of the old town.
This was our second stay at this hotel. It is very handily placed to the railway station and the old town. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here both times.
the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, there was an elevator which made things even nicer. riendly people.f
Goslar is a gorgious city with many old nice-kept houses. The hotel lays in walking distance to everything. The room was very nice and spacy. There was a fairly priced and spacy parking garage. Breakfast was very good, but not included in the room price.
Nice atmosphere, high ceilings, wood furniture, good graphics in the corridors
Staff at check-in was extremely helpful and accommodating. Charged us 1.50 Euro for a map of the city.
Hotel had a pleasant swimming pool and sauna area which after a long days cycling was very much required. I did not particularly like that in a double room there were twin beds rather than a double bed
clean and quiet shower water
We liked the town, the hotel was a bit basic A bit out of date
Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood close to the old town. Plenty of free parking. Our ground floor room had a pleasant outside seating area. Room was on the small side and overall experience seemed more like a three star hotel.
Breakfast is not included, and is offered for additional 13 euros per person. those who wish to have breakfast may find the total cost far less attractive when compared with other hotels around goslar.
Very nice and comfortable hotel, good and very friendly service
the staff kindness and nice attitude, the comfortablr room and the parking facilities
Good breakfast. plenty of parking with garage if required at extra cost. very good staff. not so good location within a housing estate.our disabled person within the group found his room to far away from all facilities inc car park.Rooms tired and ready for refit. No tea/ coffee in rooms.Generally not up to scratch for a holiday accomadation. Breakfast too dear if just wanting small snack should be a choice with cost reductions.
Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good facilities (swimming pool, parking space, garden, etc.)
The food were good. The lack of servicemindedness, and they were not interested in speaking english.
This hotel is within driving distance of the town of Goslar - 15km. Goslar is a truely stunning town and warrants a stay of longer than the single day we unfortunately had. Take time to enjoy this gem of a town. Hotel is located more remotely from Goslar than I had expected. Hotel is quite old, and the rooms pay the price of this. They are a bit cramped and tired looking. The bathroom is very tiny. The place has a fifties feel about it. I think staying within Goslar itself would be a better idea.
It is newly renovated hotel with great view over a lake. Great gourmet style four course dinner for only eur24. Set in a beautiful mountain location. Great for biking and walking. Also a cable car takes you to the top of the nearby mountain. Lovely spa area, bar and playroom. Playground situated just across the street. Pedal boats were available to hire on the lake. The hotel ia not far from the Autobahn so great stop off if you are crossing Germany.
Pofessionel staff, very good food, Danish channels on tv.
Although it looks uninteresting from outside, it is beautifully furnished in the modern scandinavian style. The position by the lake is quiet inspite of the position near the road into the spa town. The service is exceptionally attentive and friendly. The food is simply outstanding and would not be out of place in a gourmet London restaurant.. Not really. To call it a luxury hotel it only lacked larger grounds around the hotel.
the location how the clen the room very fast
Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Very clean comfortable rooms. Would have liked a TV channel in English eg news of some sort.
very nice staff, clean the wifi did not work for me
Good service, rooms OK, good restaurant, breakfast starts at 7 but they make a nice lunchbox in case you need to leave earlier. Television is out of date
Very good hotel. Very clean. Friendly staff. Good kitchen. Quiet and relaxing. None really, except two disasters in the kitchen. Their bouillabaisse was much to salty, the fish hard and the portion too small. The other evening the Pomme Anna was much too hard (reheated ?). Otherwise the resturant was excellent with good value for the money - we liked it so much that we ate there three nights. The sauna was closed one night due to rebuilding. Too bad that it had to be the evening where we had our 25 years wedding night.
Welcome and swimming facilities Gourmet restaurant was closed but we were not informed, food in alternative venue was gourmet style and prices but not what we would have chosen for ourselves
An excellent hotel.Staff so friendly and accomodating.Service was outstanding. In a quiet area, but very close to all local attractions.Great for families and couples.Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Can't praise the staff enough, they were fantastic and made you feel very special.Food was excellent, inclusive breakfast as well as the hotel's restaurant and very reasonably priced. Absolutely nothing. Would recommend it to anyone and would definitely stay here again.
Staff very friendly. Quiet surroundings and good for hiking. Good food. Pet friendly. Nothing
The location was excellent and the room was great value for money. We loved the fact our dog was welcome and that parking was not an issue. Breakfast was great value.
Good service (help with Parking) - nice meals (dinner/lunch)
Very nice hotel staff. Children friendly. (We stayed with my wife and 2,5 year old daughter.) Located close to the city center and castle Kaiserpfalz. Close to the river Gose.
fantastic german architecture. Small town with beautiful old buildings with painted facades. Quiet. Most tourists there wqere German no
Quiet little hotel in the old city of Goslar, very close to town centre. Very friendly and helpful staff.
It was ok Not enough selection for breakfast. Prefere nonsmoking.
Quietness of surroundings, closeness of city centre and lovely old streets and houses on the way to town centre. As a 70-year old I had some trouble climbing the steep stairs to the 2nd floor. Try to get a room on the 1st floor if you are getting on in years.
It was a very nice place. Close to the town center, good breakfast.
Very nice place, very friendly and helpful owners and staff; home from home. Not really, as the lower finish quality is reflected in the price.
This is a very friendly family-run hotel. The staff were most helpful and our special needs were supplied. No
Very helpful hotelier.
The central position of the hotel was verry good.
The hotel is located right in the centre of the city close to everything – that was what we wanted – but even then there were very little noise from the traffic. The room was absolutely ok concerning size, cleaning and every thing else. Breakfast was also “on the top” which means the variations off different kinds of foods and the quality.
Excellent position in the town
Great reception from staff, superb location, excellent daily breakfast, rooms very clean, and comfortable.
breakfast buffet excellent.
friendly staff and good breakfast. we arrived very late at night and there were no possibility of late dinner
Nothing Service, facilities, accessibility of external calls was not possible, location was poor, overpriced & the decor was severely dated. Definitely would not stay again & would advise other colleagues to give this place a wide birth.
Personnel really kind and dinner well prepared Need some reforms
Everything about this hotel was great including the service, food and facilities.
The room was big, with seperate douche/toilet, very nice. The breakfast was excellent. The service in the restaurant was very slowly, and very hard to get in contact with.
the only good think is a kitchen in restorant. during all the stay ( 3 nights ) our room was never served and cleaned.
Very friendly and helpful. Comfortable, quiet room. Good traditional menu, food excellent, ample. Easy walk from station.
The central location in Goslar was very useful, and made for an easy visit to the town centre. The staff were basically helpful with baggage and check-out. The room was small, cramped with unnecessary furniture and poorly lit. A little bit of thought and money and relocating the lamps so that they fitted at the proper end of the bed would make a lot of sense.
Really Not much good to say about this hotel as it was the worst we stayed in on our holiday The Standard of internal decoration was to say the least poor but to be honest it was down right bad, lack of plug sockets, and thread bare carpets did not help, and the first impression on arrival was Good Grief what have we come to here It does not give you a good name and we would never use this hotel again
The hotel was relatively close to the centre of the town of Goslar. The hotel had the smell of grease about it. The place was tired, the rooms small and cheaply appointed. The place felt grubby and was in serious need of redecoration. People may wish to consider a different hotel; I would not recommend it. Breakfast was okay, but the only hotel in Germany I have stayed in (and I have stayed in many) that did not serve bread rolls for breakfast.
staff, location and the breakfast :) the park pay but near
Quiet. Friendly staff. Too smoky and in bad need of decoration.
Convenient for town centre and railway station.Staff friendly.Good restaurant.
personal assistance with internet acces + ready help with the routing of my further highway travel No
i love the hotel very much. the location is great and it is very quiet. i can sleep well. and the best is the resturant. i have my dinner there for all my stay.
Stunning location, good food and relaxing. Felt we were overlooked because of language barrier. Only 1 waiter on out last evening there spoke English, luckily we knew basic german but we didn't use facilities eg sauna etc because of this.
Nice breakfast and also a fine restaurant. Sauna is for free, but bathrobes had to be hired.
A very nice, comfortable hotel in beautiful surroundings. If you need a quiet, peaceful hotel in which to relax after the stress of work Kurpark-Hotel Ilsetal is just the place to be. The staff could not have been more helpful, first class. No
Excellant staff and wiling to help with the language No
Location We paid for a second room for our parents not knowing that the family room had a sofa bed for the kids. This was not explained or shown to us on arrival.
We really enjoyed the location! The staff were very accommodationg and friendly. The food was wonderful. Overall pleasant experience. Did not like the fact that we could not find the internet access that was suppose to be available.
Beautiful location; Food was very good Would like more information in English
Location, staff, view. Poor beds, not a double but two singles pushed together.
Very nice place, quiet and cosy in a wonderful region. Hotel staff very kind and efficient. QBar fantastic! Wifi connection very difficult in the rooms with an iPad. Is it really necessary to fill up a form two times in 2 days with name, address and signature to get a code and a pas word??? Free wifi please !
