Room was clean, comfortable. I am diabetic, so choose food carefully. They were out of eggs, bacon, sausage both times I went to breakfast.
Strong cleaner smell
Very friendly, good place to take the kids. The junior suites are very large. The building is old so noise was a bit of an issue, not bad. The Windows face the ocean and are small.
The hotel is very clean, has good spa and pool. But most importantly - great service. I was traveling to a triathlon race with my son. We needed to leave at 5:30am. The owners woke up before 5 to make us breakfast, even if it was just us and one other person who needed this. They have also allowed us to come back after the race, take showers and use the spa. This is truly a family owned business, and it shows - they really care about their guests!
The staff at the front desk were courteous.
Staff was very friendly. Rooms were great. Food was good, if your fast. Vending machines well stocked. Very loud all night. Breakfast was unorganized running out of food and people cutting in line. Duct tape on smoke detectors in the hall. Pool was crowded with rude guests, Hot tub looked like it was time for a cleaning so was our bathtub. Long walk to beach with little kids.
that it was in ocean shores they ran out of food, or did not have food when we went to breakfast at 9am. kids in the pool and hot tub, they need to have a adult time from say 9 to 10, i want to relax in the hot tub not listen to other kids yell and sceam in the pool area. rooms were noisy, i could here people running up and down the hall through out the night.
Location rocks A little rough around the edges
Very poor service, everything smells like cigarettes.
The restaurant was decent enough, the pool was great. It's right on he beach. Very smokey. Our room never got cleaned, but we were compensated with a discount at check out.
The room was very comfortable and I slept so well. My husband did, too. I liked having a refrigerator in the room and the separate rooms for bathing and a separate room for changing clothes and double sinks. The only thing missing, in my opinion, was a recliner or similar chair so I could use it to read. Overall, a lovely experience! We'll be back. Only the overstuffed chair for reading and relaxing.
Its close to the beach Only the really expensive suite have balcony. View not great. Rooms are small. Won't allow late check out.
The room and location were adequate. That said, the service at the front desk and restaurant were well below expectations. Issues ranged from front desk help being impolite/short to the waiteress being rude during breakfast. I have had much better luck with service staying at hotels in Ocean Shores. I can only recommend Quinault Beach Resort if you are looking for a place to gamble near Ocean Shores.
The view from the 3rd floor is breathtaking. We were uograded rooms when I said it was my daughter's birthday. It was so kind and amazing of them. This place has everything you need and even awesome big pool towels! Super comfy beds. We truly enjoyed our stay.
Totally awesome. Bed was too soft.
Great beach location. Clean, but needing updating.
The staff at Shiloh Inn is always friendly and helpful. The room was a junior suite, which was spacious and clean. They still have smaller, old-fashioned TV's, which seemed a bit cheap. And the restaurant was understaffed for a busy Sunday breakfast, so we went somewhere else to eat.
View from the room was breath taking. Easy short walk to beach. Great dining. Room with Kitchenette was perfect. Air conditioner squeezed when it turned on. Disruptive.
location was great, staff was extremely friendly and helpful no shower curtain, not enough towels in room, needs some updating (furniture rickety)
The location was great and the rooms spacious. Bed was comfortable. They really need to update there TV's. Small and very old tube tv's. I had to laugh when i saw them.
Staff were very pleasent
This was my 5th time staying at the Shilo Inn, and I liked it this time as much as I liked it the other four times. All of the first floor has views of the dunes (pet friendly) and the upper floors all have views of the ocean and the beautiful sunsets. Every stay there I have seen deer in the morning grazing on the grass right behind the hotel. I really like the seating room and the fireplace, makes it very cozy and it is seperated from the beds with a half wall and a beautiful etched glass wall. The small gym and indoor swimming pool are nice as well. The pool is open 24 hours and is warm... The lobby with the huge tropical fish tank is wonderful, makes me want to go snorkeling, and all the wooden model ships are very cool as well. I have nothing but good to say about The Shilo Inn and would recommend staying here to anyone.
I loved the staff here - they were all friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were easy. The location was also great, and it is close to the beach. This is an older hotel whose heyday (as the staff will tell you) was in the 60s and 70s. There are still incandescent bulbs in the fixtures, and the rooms clearly have not been updated in some time. That said, it was fine for what I needed - a place to crash on my vacation while I went out and did other things.
I loved that it's kind of at the end of the main drag, so when you get down to the beach there's not a million people and cars everywhere. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite (2 queen beds in one, 1 king bed in the other, pull out couch in the living room) which was absolutely perfect for our family of 5. They've got DVDs to rent for the night time, an indoor pool/hot tub, and even a little game room with some video games and a pool table. I found a better deal online than by calling directly...so we paid less for this incredibly comfortable stay than we would have for smaller quarters/less amenities than anywhere else I've ever stayed at Ocean Shores. The restaurant on site was phenomenal, as well.
Suites have full kitchen and balcony. Nice large grassy area for pets and kids. Walk outs to the beach were rustic, to explore. Rooms were large. Pool and jacuzzi were great addition. Even complimentary breakfast. This is not a walking town and nothing here is fancy. It is a "sea shanty" town. Know that going in and you won't be disappointed. Our room was not cleaned upon check in and it took two calls to get it cleaned. The beach walk outs could use some maintenance.
The room, the price we paid...everything. Great hotel and the kids love the pool. Loved the fact that they had life jackets available for them as well. My kids didn't want to get out of the pool. Ever.
courteous front desk clerk, explained about the motel stay and more...she talked about local events occurring. Motel very clean and upkept...as was the room. Have stayed at other motels in Ocean Shores in the past...and thought these were ok, this one now tops our list. Very reasonable pricing , especially with a room with a hot tub. Overall highly recommended. And cant forget the nice variety of food at the free breakfast! (the one troublesome thing for us was the stiff mattress, but that was it!)
The weather was hot for the Washington coast and there is no air conditioning in the 'old' part of the building. To upgrade to an 'oceanview' room (where there is air conditioning) would have been $60 more a night. Since the room was already paid for, we could not change motels for our remaining visit. Could have gotten an air conditioned room at several other hotels for less. The housekeeping did not show up until 4 in the afternoon and then did only the minimal in the bath. The breakfast was good and the young lady at the desk in the am was very nice and made us feel welcome.
After a long ride from Victoria we came upon ocean shores ready to rest and enjoy the beach views. Quality inn was great! Their staff was extremely helpful and very accommodating. They made great restaurant recommendations, and provided a great, clean, comfortable room with a fantastic view. Don't be fooled by the meager exterior. The place is well worth the affordable price.
My husband and I went to Ocean Shores for our anniversary. I am very picky about hotels. They have to have good amenities, a well-stocked continental breakfast, MUST be clean, even in the corners where no one sees, and no dust on the furniture. If we're going to spend that much of our hard-earned money we want a comfortable stay. I was pleasantly surprised that especially the bathroom was very clean in the corners, not a hair in sight. No dust on the countertop, the TV, or other furniture. The room was a little snug, which my husband was not comfortable with but suited me okay. There wasn't a closet to hang up our things but an armoire was in it's place. The carpet did not look worn, thin or needing to be stretched. The room was nicely decorated. The hotel recently installed a new cable system the day prior so the TV monitor wasn't programmed completely. One of the hotel staff came to program it and was very apologetic about his intrusion. The front desk attendants were also very helpful when checking in, when we needed information about local restaurants, and continued courtesy on checking out. Because I have a restricted diet due to allergies, the evening attendant went beyond to help us choose a place that would be appropriate. He could have just handed us the restaurant guide and said nothing more. I was a little dismayed at the continental breakfast. For my husband, the selection was rather slim. There were the famous Belgian waffles, bacon, fruit, coffee, juices, hard-boiled eggs, toast, maybe some cereal, I don't remember. If I were able to eat all that was available, I would have been a little disappointed as well. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were nice except for the over-abundance of chlorine. My eyes stung so bad that I couldn't stay for very long. As soon as I entered the water, my skin became slick with chlorine. The pool wasn't as cold is some hotels. The jacuzzi was too hot. It almost felt like I was being slowly cooked. I noticed the body langu...
I was impressed with the staff. They were nice and professional. At the same time they were friendly and very good with my small children. The hotel was clean and everything looked good. The bathroom in the room we had was excellent, no signs of the wear and tear that you see at most hotels. The room was clean and looked like it had been recently updated. The pool area was very well maintained. The 'free' breakfast was great, alot of variety was offered. The hotel also has a miniture golf course, my children really enjoyed it.
Room with a view was a good value. A little to far from the beach to see the beach, but could see the ocean. Excellent and friendly service. Very clean. Complimentary breakfast is cereal, bagel, small muffin, toast, OJ or apple juice, coffee. That was it.....one of the poorer complimentary breakfasts.
Front desk was very pleasant and personable. Room was clean and updated (loved the bathroom). Breakfast was great! Overall great visit and plan on staying at this Quality Inn on my next visit.
The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff is very polite and courteous. The breakfast was very good, much better than other complimentary breakfasts we've had. I would definitely stay here again. My only wish is that the beach access was more clearly marked, you have to wander through a narrow winding path that goes on forever through tall grasses, which when you are coming back in from watching the sunset at dusk is a little scary. A wider path or even decking would have been nice.
This was a good hotel for an overnight getaway. Good location. The only weird thing was that the window was looking into the mini golf in the middle of the hotel. Didn't play. The walk to the beach was a way but looked like the same from any hotel. Good free breakfast in the morning with bacon and eggs and other stuff. Overall, I would go back but request a different room not next to the mini golf.
We stayed here for 3 days. The room was updated with a large, modern flat screen LG and a nice firm bed. The heater blows quite hot...too hot almost. The air from the cadet feels cleaner than air from other hotels shared a/c/heater. Breakfast was nice. These waffles were among the best at a continental breakfast. They weren't too bready but nice and crispy. A morning paper by the door every morning was a nice touch. The staff were very friendly. The spa room was a bit old but with updated touches. The hot tub temperature was perfect and felt clean. Wish there was a microwave in this room. However, there is an accessible microwave in the breakfast area that can be used at any time.
We were looking for rest after a week of sitting our three wonderful grandbabies. We got it at the Quality Inn in Ocean shores. We had no view but it was close enough to the beach that we were only in our room to sleep anyway. The breakfast provided the next morning was lovely, hot waffles, lots of bacon and hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit and juices (lots of other selections that we were too full to sample) One thing I really enjoyed was the free hot tea, coffee and apple cider offered 24/7. We left rested and refreshed.
The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. the breakfast was fresh, plentiful with very tasty waffles!! The hotel is on the ocean but because of the sand dunes it takes a bit to walk to it. My only complaint was there was no air conditioner in the room and it got pretty stuffy by the end of the day.
They need to have housekeeping more than 1a weak
the price was great.... I could hear the neighbor coughing all night....thin walls
Indoor heated pool, convenient location, helpful registration staff and overnight staff. Had a great stay Didn't have housekeeper unless you asked for one. Had to ask for extra towels at front desk
Water heater was set to "melt iron" setting.
Nothing The staff was rude room was not was advertised. Won't ever stay there again. Stayed at the Wetherly the next 3 night it was grea
Price. Super janky. Only stay here to save $$.
nothing did not like anything about it, I left early because the people that was next to us had a dog and it barked all day, the walls were thin, carpet in disrepair the tv was broke. I will never stay there again/
We stayed in a studio for $50 a night. However, we got a bed and a bathroom. For $50 a night, we must accept this condition. No cooler and no microwave. Hot water was not sufficient. I had water for a morning shower. Electricity gone.
The value of Our room along with the fact that there were indoor and outdoor pools, ice machines, and all the little extras like coffee, soaps, and neatly folded towels was amazing. We were upgraded to a king with a full kitchen which made our stay so pleasent. The bed was nicer and more comfortable than Ours at home, the sofa made into a twin bed (Our 3 year old loved that!) And with the refridgeraton and dishes provided We had everything We would ever need! This hotel is right by the beach as well as all the little shops around the corner. The staff was so nice and We had a wonderful time. I really have no complaints, the hotel was probably the nicest thing about Our visit!
Changes in our driving plans made for a last minute search for lodging for one night in Ocean Shores. Ocean Shores Inn was the least expensive by a significant amount. Expectations weren't too high and were met. Clean, comfortable room.
Close to the beach, friendly and helpful staff, nice choices for continental breakfast, pool and hot tub were enjoyable, overall relaxing for our weekend getaway at the coast. A popcorn machine in the lobby is a fun touch. Aesthetically and structurally dated, remote in terms of access to dining out (we took a long, long walk along the beach to a restaurant in Westport, which was plenty fun for us), we had hoped for a coffee pot in the room instead of a Keurig. The beds were clean, but not as comfy as we hoped.
Location is great with close access to ocean beaches. Rooms are very clean and have the usual amenities. Instead of the typical coffee maker you have the use of a Keurig pod machine. The free morning spread is very nice with all of the usual breakfast items including boiled eggs. Somewhat noisy at night. Conversation from adjacent room was plainly heard from their deck and from the room itself from 2 different groups of people on 2 different nights. We were awakened at approx 11:30 on one night by a couple out on the grounds below our unit using loud voices and some rather colorful language freely.
Ocean shores looks very empty. This hotel was okay but we we so glad that we only stayed one night. There was nothing to do there. The beach was honestly pathetic. It was just ugly. Good deal for only paying $95
It wasn't a bad hotel to stay at. Did need some updating. The walls are super thin and we could hear everyone around us all night. The night desk clerk was rude and very cocky. He wasn't happy we wanted to swim at 830 because he had already shut the pool lights off except pools open until 10. The pool does need cleaned and the hot tub is like warm at best. The vending machine for drinks kept getting stuck so you have to buy two of the same to get anything to come out and then jam your hand into it and wiggle the drinks around to get the door open. Other then that the beds weren't horrible and it was only a quick jaunt to the beach. Located in a good area. Breakfast was waffles, cereal, toast or yogurt with some fruits. Unfortunately the milk we used was going bad so we opted for waffles. If you're on a budget it is definitely a good place to go. Spa was cold, pool wasn't very clean... Read above.
The staff were friendly and available. The room was emaciated. Very clean and has a warm layout. Good breakfast in the morning and overall there is no complaints for the price I had paid. It is also a short walk from the main town strip. Can't think of a single thing. Awesome place and I am looking forward to coming back!
price ok help nice close to beach pool not working ice machine not working room like a freezer when we arrived breakfast in need of more substance lobby cold no pen in room
Everything but the blood on the wall exceeded our expectations. I figured for the lower price would come lower quality, but we really enjoyed it. Beds in most hotels we've stayed in are like sleeping on a piece of plywood, but this one was quite comfortable. They also have Keurigs in the rooms, which was nice.Breakfast choices were more limited than some, but the food was good, and the choices were adequate. Blood on the wall beside the bed. I was told the room is scheduled to be painted, but it had not been done yet.
Family friendly. Beach withinh walking distance. Other activities close, too. Keurig in room (I always bring my own from home.) bedding extremely comfortable
It was a nice accommodation, clean, comfortable bed, mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The view from the top deck was panoramic. There was no breakfast or food options included. There were several restaurants within walking distance, though.
I liked the location and the view as I was up on the third floor. It was quiet also. It needs some painting and updating.
Rooms were very nice, modern and clean No ice machine seemed accessible
location, staff, cleanliness, wifi, price no air conditioning, bed
Awesome location puts within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Rooms have been updated inside to look close to new. Very quiet rooms with comfortable beds.
It was close the the water and a dam good pizza place. It was half way remodeled. It needs some updates.
The room was very clean and spacious. Which was nice as it gave our 3 year old a little room to play before bed. The heater only heated part of the room. Half the room was boiling, the other half freezing. The bed was VERY uncomfortable and hurt our backs. The shower was very small. And the shower head didn't even aim into the shower but at the wall outside of it.. This may be OK for someone who doesn't have a sensitive back. But definitely not if you do or if you have kids to try to bathe.
We loved the 24hr pool and spa. We also loved the options they had for breakfast and the staff was always friendly!
Staff very friendly. carpet worn and stained. Chairs in breakfast/lobby worn and stained. Tile in floor cracked. Needs updating. Fireplace in lobby didn't work. Art work in lobby very seductive and needs to be replaced. Not suitable for young adults or children.
Chance to upgrade. I had to pay $20.00 more to get a view of the beach. I should have been told that when I made the reservation.
Good room for a good price
The room was very clean and the hotel was very close to the beach and the shops in town. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful! The walls were very thin so we could hear next doors conversation and their dogs barking occasionally.
Room was cute Jacuzzi was disappointing
Large Rooms, comfy beds Very old and worn out. Need up dating desperately. Veery disappointed for the price
The king size bed was great. Very close to a good coffee place, the grocery store, a tavern, and a few blocks from Blackbeards Brewery. About a 20 minute walk to a mostly deserted beach, lighthouse, and a park that leads right into town. The tavern across the street has live music, can get a little noisy, there is some road noise too.
