Clean rooms, nice TV Front Desk Receptionist was sitting in the dining area literally all day, eating and watching TV. When we entered multiple times she did not even bother to get up to greet us much less look up from time to time. Must be nice being paid to effectively sit in a living room and enjoy yourself while at work. -Side note, the refrigerator/freezer didnt work after turning it on max power. Our ice cream from the night before melted.
The breakfast was pretty good and included a waffle maker which was not mentioned. The employee was courteous and offered information on delivery restuarants. The bed was hard. There were dirt smudges on the walls. There were two of us staying and only one cup in the bathroom. The blanket had a cigarette burn hole in it, and we had a non smoking room. The mirror had spots. The shower had soap scum on it. Worst of all, the listing mentioned a pool. There was a pool, but it had been closed by DHEC.
Leaving The desk clerk Tina was very RUDE when I checked in around 10:30 p.m. I'm not sure if I woke her up, but I do know I didn't deserve the filth spewing from her mouth. You could tell she didn't want to be there but that's not my fault. I called priceline to cancel my reservation and they said they would have to call Tina first. After talking with Tina they called me back apologized for the way I was treated and not only cancelled my reservation for me but gave me an immediate full refund. I am so glad my young children and wife were in the car and didn't have to experience the barrage of foul language.
Arrived around 10:30 pm and had to get up at 5:30 am for my flight. Just wanted to take a shower and go to sleep. I walked into my room and the carpet felt damp. I crossed the threshold into the bathroom and immediately was hit with a strong odor of urine. There was hair and residue all over the bathroom and counter. This lack of hygiene is inexcusable.
Me and My friends were here for a wedding, I stayed in a Super 8 before and had very low expectations going in but was really happy in the end. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The location wasn't about 20 minutes from everywhere and would definitely go back. continental breakfast was standard...standard waffle maker and 2 cereals with coffee and orange/apple juice
Take this hotel off your list especially if you might need any assistance from the Bell Staff or Valet. Experienced non-existing service on last 2 visits. Staff not busy and chapping with each other but don't expect them to even offer to help with any luggage or items you are carrying in or out. Not what I thought was standard for Hyatt but I now know different.
Desk staff was great. Offered complimentary appetizer via room service as gift to celebrate birthday of son (reason for trip). Cleanliness of room somewhat lacking. Doors to bathroom slide together. Didn't 'match' thus privacy greatly limited for both aural and visual. Room small. No little half refrigerator or microwave. Just expected a few more room perks for $300 a night tab. Most I've ever paid for hotel room this small.
The Christmas decirations Nothing
We liked the location. It was nice to be able to be right downtown. First the pool was closed for re modeling. Why would you close the pool during the middle of summer? We were hoping to at least have a refrigerator in the room. Having to pay full price for parking during the weekends was shady since I could've parked a couple of blocks down the road and paid $2. I told the valet I didn't want to continue my valet parking after 1 night and they charged me for all 4 nights. The king size bed was uncomfortable and didn't have a fitted sheet so every night we had to get up and fix the bed so we weren't laying directly on mattress.
Good location and decent price. No fridge in room.
The breakfast was dope, the beds were great, employees are some of the best. Rooms don't have have refrigerators for some reason and the ac hardly worked.
The lobby is nice The location is quite central Free basic Internet The smell - step off of the 6th floor elevator and it smells like a squirrel died in one of the walls The rooms are TINY. The bathroom doesn't even have a counter The furniture is beaten up. The TV stand looked like it had been used as a chopping block This place has seen better days - it has no business being under the Hyatt/Regency trade mark
clean rooms friendly staff soft beds close to ALOT of shopping cant wait to come back here smaller sized pillows so have to mess with em a bit to get good support if u like alot of support had 4 on my king bed hotel seems a bit older and the walls are not as soundproof as a new build of today but the ac and tv drown out 90% of it
Decent value for the money, but much better hotels in the vicinity if willing to spend a little more.
This motel is in a good location, just off I-85. It is easy to find and easy to get in and out. Plenty of restaurants are close by. The staff was friendly and courteous. Our room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Shampoo, soap, etc were available from dispensers rather than small bottles, which I had not seen before, but I really liked. Towels, etc., were very good. We did not try the free breakfast (slept late) but it appeared to be the standard fare. Overall it is a good value for the money. I would stay there again. A couple of minor nit-picks: The fixtures in the bathtub were loose, including the shower spout (but the shower was great!). The safe did not work, which meant I just had to carry a couple of small items with me.
Conveniently located next to the freeway and near local restaurants Attracts lots of young families and loud patrons.
no complaints, great experience, people were all very nice and accomodating
This was the first time we have ever stayed at a Drury Inn. We always stayed at Embassy Suites, but here it was $40-$60 cheaper a night than Embassy. We still got our breakfast, maybe not as big as Embassy but it had all you needed then some. I cannot say enough about the staff...They were wonderful. Everyone spoke to you, asked how everything was and just talked to you like they were very interested in you. This was by far the BEST hotel staff we have ever encountered!! Kudos to the staff and management team. We will definately staff there again!. The 5:30 meal was awesome with free food and drinks. Enough to make a meal and save even more!
We couldn't have asked for more in a hotel! I truly felt as if I were at a super expensive hotel, when I really got an excellent deal. Where else can you get 3 free alcoholic beverages, and DINNER for FREE between 5:30-7:00 EVERY NIGHT?!?!?! Only at the Drury! Staff was excellent, rooms immaculately clean. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!!!! Close to EVERYTHING!!!! You won't be sorry :)
I was not expecting this hotel to be as nice as it was. The price was very good, and the experience was even better.
Loved this place. Was a great place for my 15 year old twin grandsons. Great breakfast, light dinner, and popcorn and drinks for snack. Beautiful place, from the lobby to the rooms. Just wished we had this hotel more in the Southern region.
Spent the night at this hotel two different times and was pleased with the facility and complimentary breakfast.
I appreciated the amenities ... including the breakfast menu where especially the scrambled egges were delicious and hot. I loved the variety of both the breakfast and the evening 'snacks'. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great stay and look forward to returning to one of your facilities in the future!
This was our first stay with Drury Inn and if they are all this nice, it won't be our last. We were on the 7th floor on the side away from the interstate which was very quiet. Very fast elevators make quick trips to the lobby. Friendly helpful staff. Even janitors say hello like the staff takes pride in the hotel. Maybe they give them stock in the company? Fluffy soft pillows and comfortable beds. Not too firm like some other chains. Temp control by thermostat worked great. Everything looked new. Really nice pool with indoor/ outdoor feature. You can swim from one side to the other and pool seemed to be heated, although I don't know for sure. Three treadmills in the exercise room and one bike. Felt roomy compared to others I have seen. B'fast area was particularly spacious. They have free hot popcorn in the afternoon/ evening and drinks served for business travelers. The hotel is right off the interstate south of 85. Lots of great restaurants across the street like PF Chang, Mimi's Cafe, Longhorns, etc. Big plus for us was that they allow small pets. We didn't have any negatives with this hotel and would definitely stay there again. I noticed several vans from local colleges picking up parents on a visit so it must be popular with the campuses. If you have time, drive into Greenville for a mini hike along the Reedy River (name?) that runs through it.
Clean rooms, friendly staff and a very nice hot breakfast. Front doors of hotel are locked at night for increased security, even though thet front desk is manned 24hrs. All you need is your room key to get through the front doors when returning late. Would definitely stay here again.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for a perfect getaway romantic or with children. I hope to take my child one weekend because I loved it so much.
Loved the layout and very spacious with everything we needed. Brought the dog and it was perfect. Great value! Bed could have been a little more comfortable.
VERY nice room (especially for the price we paid). The staff was courteous, the free breakfast was very nice. And, most importantly, the bed was extremely comfortable! The hot water in the shower was scalding hot. Fortunately, I checked it before jumping in. That's a minor complaint on an otherwise excellent stay.
Extremely pleasant customer service from all areas of the Hotel. Very friendly people who were bending over backwards to assist our travels - more than satisfied.
The thing I love most about Marriott, are the very comfortable beds. It's always clean, and the staff is professional. Charging $$ for wifi, in this day and age, is robbery.
Second time staying at this location. I enjoy the fact that the hotel was just seconds away from the highway which made it really convenient to get downtown. The free breakfast was nice. I love that the TV plays ocean/rainforest sounds so I can relax at night. The parking is a little bit of an issue. If you don't get there before to late then you are finding yourself hiking to the nearest entrance. I did have an issue with my key this time. I had to hike to the rear entrance and it did not work. Then to the entrance and it still did not work. So I had to literally almost circle the hotel to use the front entrance and wait to be buzzed in. Staff resolved issue quickly. The breakfast is nice but not a lot to choose from except carbs.
The location was good. An easy drive to downtown. Our room had an adjoining door to the room next to us. The people in that room had their tv on loud all night long. The room also smelled when we got there. The combination of these 2 caused a bad night's sleep.
We stayed here several nights well in town for a wedding. The hotel was very clean, rooms were spacious with a small refrigerator and microwave. They had a small gym, which I used, all equipment was in working order. The area with the Pool and hot tub were very clean. Large assortment for breakfast and it was all compliments of the hotel. The staff was very nice! Very close to the highway making getting around very easy. We had to travel into the city of Greenville for two nights (for convenience to walk to events we attended) and stayed at a 5 star hotel that cost us twice what we pd. here and they had none of the amenities I described above ( except they too had a gym). Very relaxing atmosphere and clean!! Would definitely come back to stay here while in Greenville again.
Convenient location for my purposes. I stayed 7 nights. The housecleaning was below par. They didn't vacuum even though the floor (my fault) got dirty once. The refrigerator barely kept items below room temp. Informed front desk. They supposedly worked on it but it never worked right.
Clean, comfortable, Free wifi. Has an outdoor pool but didnt get to use it. Breakfast could have been better. I would prefer if they reduce the price and not provide breakfast.
Beds were comfortable. Hot breakfast options were the same each day for the week. Kind of boring.
The room was clean. The mattress was unusually soft. Also the front desk failed to provide directions when asked, that would allow us to connect to the hotel's wi-fi service.
It was the staff that wasn't paid that consistently popped (ROACHES!!!!!!!!!) We stayed for 3 nights. Don't get me wrong for the price... I expected the sandpaper feel on the towels, the cheap soap, the mildew on the bathroom baseboards as well as the stench of old carpet that will be on my clothes for the rest of my life.... but the continuous unwanted greeting from the unpaid staff of roaches was a bit much ROACHES!!!!!!!!!
The bed was comfortable. Toilet flushed. Marble counter around the sink was nice. Non-smoking room smelled of smoke and was musty. Room carpet, walls, and comforter had stains. Shower was rusted with cracks in tiling on wall and floor of bathroom. Bug ran out from under bed upon sitting on it. 3/4 inch gap between bottom of door and floor. Enough for anything to crawl in. Skipped breakfast because the lobby where it was served smelled of smoke and body odor. Desk attendant was in no hurry to get us checked-in or out. Desk attendant asked person in front of us in line if they wanted to rent a safe for valuables.
Location was good All Lights were not working in the room. Room was adjacent to another room's door , Clear sounds from other rooms were there. While booking online , it showed me Quality Inn , However after booking on same address it became Greenville suites Inn . Receptionist was too slow at her work , about 20 minute i had to wait in queue while only one person was ahead of me. People behind me were also annoyed of her slow rather slowest work . I won't repeat to stay there again , would spend more to stay at better facility....sorry
I've stayed at this location twice, both times no sleep...the walls are paper thin. The breakfast was okay, and the coffee is good!
The bed was good and it was a good value. People had smoked in the non-smoking room.
I liked the description of this hotel in the add and the picture was quite impressed as well. I felt unsafe as we were checking in. It was about 10pm but the parking area and the lobby was congested with people just hanging out. As soon as we parked under the covered area several men went out looking over the car (2005 Chrysler 300 nothing special). As I was checking in a woman butted in that she needed an new room...there was no way she would stay in the one she was assigned. I felt very uneasy with all the activity. Got key and walked out to see people all out on balconies and a woman sitting on side walk with a big pile of clothes. Drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, bedbugs, life endangerment came to mind. We did not even go to the room...returned key and left. I WAS NOT stayimg there. I did not get a refund, but went with my gut feeling and feel 100% certain that it was an unsafe place. Lesson learned.
Loved the breakfast and space. Like the location Too noisy. 2 nights we were there there were parties and it was loud until 12:30 am
Suite itself was fine, once we got to it. Sent to suite at first with handicapped bathroom (no vanity in bathroom) and had to request another suite. Entire atrium/lobby area under construction, only 1 of 3 elevators working and signs indicating which one were wrong - so long walks around atrium to wrong elevator and back, then very long waits for very crowded elevator. Corridors partially obstructed by construction materials/equipment, construction crews competing with guests/staff for 1 elevator in service.
Breakfast, manager's reception, pools, atmosphere, aesthetics.
Room was clean and well laid out Entire hotel under renovation. The entire courtyard, restaurant, front desk, etc. was in temporary and unsatisfactory areas. We had visited last year and only returned because of a good impression. If I had know about the renovations, would have stayed elsewhere.
Nice sized bed and room and was very clean The lights in the front part of the room wouldn't turn on which thus made the room rather dark
Gym was well equipped AC sounded like jet engine. Desk staff was not helpful. Don't bother asking for a late check out.
Staff were helpful and courteous. Room was clean. Breakfast was very good. Good location with many restaurants nearby
Stayed here many times under previous ownership Staff worked hard in a difficult series of events Management gave 50% discount HURRY and complete this hotel upgraded Flood in room 302 caused by guest Room 202 flooded/ my room Lobby flooded Moved to room 138/ room had water pipes banging all night Moved to room 102/ tv was some hybrid only staff could turn on Because of flood only packaged food for breakfast for 2 days
The hotel is excellent - I had read negative reviews, but did not run into any of the problems. It is clean, great breakfast. super friendly staff. and always hot coffee. Quiet and easy to access
The hotel staff charged more than what the reservation room rate was..we had two seperate reservations and they did the same on both. They had to issue refunds after we caught their errors

We've been to plays at the Peace Center 3 times and we always stay across town at the Sheraton so it was a nice surprise to find a nice hotel w/great staff, closer location, great complimentary breakfast (one of the comps we loved about Sheraton) and breakfast staff. Great room, beds and comfort. Already making plans for our next stay. I didn't like that when I changed my reservation from 2 days to 1 day the price went up $10 because supposedly my room was no longer available. Also, although we found a table right away at breakfast it was a little cramped and limited seating at breakfast rush hour. Also I wish the staff had a broader knowledge about eating places besides just pointing us across the street.
great room with a great view
Location was fantastic, There was a long line for check in and at the $200 per night price point I expected something a little nicer than a standard hotel room.
Spacious room Old bathroom and a very, very hard bed.

nice staff was NOT a 4 star property
Ease of finding location. Beautifully maintained and anything and everything you could possibly need.
Very clean and updated on the inside.
The staff were awesome. Everything clean and well maintained Lounge drinks high. Put clean room on outside door at 9:00am. Came back at 2:00pm to rest and change before wedding. Housekeeping just getting to our room so had to wait in lobby till room cleaned.

The friendly staff Not having a free breakfast!!!!
The staff was fantastic, and the room was clean The hotel was not worth the price, no way was this a four star hotel, a 3 at best, plenty of kids running around, no significant features that stood out. The room was nothing special and the amenities offer was at best decent
Good hotel & great location, within a few miles of local shopping & restaurants. The staff was good.....the pool was nice and warm but had a bit of trash in it. The early morning noise from the parking lot on the north side of the building (next time I will ask for a higher floor). need better drapes (too short & worn) to block out the daylight for those that would like to sleep in late.
Excellent customer service. No
We were on the top floor (quiet zone). Really appreciated that.
Quite, safe, clean room with nice amenities inside. Breakfast was very spartan - but fine in a pinch. Hallway carpets on second floor heavily stained and in need of replacement.
great for the price. Feels more like a house than hotel. Rooms are small, but sufficient. Would stay again
The staff was incredibly nice. Great location for us. Very clean. Easy check in Not enough towels in the room. They pull out bed, which will you need it, didn't have enough linens to cover it. A pull out bed doesn't fit with the room set up. We had to move furniture to get it to open. The closet door was off it's hinge.
The staff was friendly and very clean location! It wasn't free
A very pleasant stay, most comfortable rooms, free internet is a must these days, I don't mind paying 350$ for a hotel but if they want to fleece you for internet access i leave. Similarly for parking. You hasve a winner as far as IO am concerned. Will stay again.
Continental breakfast was acceptable for a eat and dash; but went to local restaurant for additional days. The scrambled eggs - not so good.
