The hotel is in a nice setting, the rooms are excellent for families, the staff are very friendly.
Staff were freindly and could speak acceptable or good english. The rooms were of a high standard. The hotel was in country surroundings.
Good value for money, friendly welcome, clean and very relaxing environment
Extremely comfortable bed, good breakfast, warm welcome, beautiful surroundings
Everything 100 % ok Only one small detail: watching tv not always confortable as the device could not be turned to the right or the left.
The hotel was lovely - our room was spacious and absolutely spotless.
Very comfortable and quiet. Lovely location. Very friendly and helpful staff
Beautifully renovated old farm house. Typical family run business, with very friendly family members The dinner was simple and typical for the region, yet the quality of the food was very average. The large dining room is very comfortable with centraly located fire place, though no fire despite chilly evening.
We liked the country setting, the vast network of cycling paths and the ambience of the hotel - modern but comfortable. Since we were travelling with our teenage son, we booked a triple room, which turned out to be very large, much larger than comparable rooms in 4 star hotels which we have used in the past, so we were delighted at the degree of privacy this room afforded each of us. We chose to have our evening meals at the hotel, a no-choice set menu which was always attractively presented and well cooked. Judging by the numbers of guests, this was a popular hotel offering good quality accommodation at reasonable prices. When we return to the Netherlands, we hope to stay at Erve Bruggert again.
Very kind sraff, clean room, nice dinner and breakfast.
It is very dificult to find the hotel. No road seigns and more names at the hotel entrance. No parking under roof for motorcycles.
Excellent location for Military Equestrian Event- hotel was nice & warm as cold weather. Swimming pool good. Not sure hotel is 4 star, rate was increased due to equestrian event, some of the decor needs replacing - paint splattered carpets! Limited menu for 4 day stay.
Very comfortable appartment, but we did have to ask for towels, the location was very peaceful. I did think the breakfast was over-priced for the children as they do not really eat that much!!
English speaking staff
The tranquillity. The smoking of guests outside on the balconies; the smoke drifts into the rooms.
Room size, outside environment, and restaurant. Sound insulation between rooms was poor, and the room lacked air conditioning. When Mosquitos are around in the hot weather, opening the windows is not an option, and so the room was too hot at night.
The swimming pool was the best part of our stay. It is open very long hours, have nice heated water and is suitable both for adults and children. The other thing was pizza we ordered from the hotel restaurant. Very convenient to order and very tasty! No complaints at all.
Hotel has an excellent restaurant which is not expensive (also nice 3course menu-of-the-day for just 25 eur!) & has beautiful view on small pond+fountain plus terraces for dining outside in spring/summer. Quite large indoor pool with walkout to lawn, two excellent hard tenniscourts. Rooms on ground level have real nice small open terraces. Buffet breakfast in same restaurant and including scramled eggs and all other food+drinks one could possibly be craving for in the morning. View from half of the number of ground floor rooms is on parking lot, although through bushes+trees.
Very good price, pool, breakfast, hard to find without navi system
The rooms, restaurant and lounges were furnished to a high standard and the staff were very friendly and helpful I would have liked tea making facilities in the room
Nice location. Freindly Staff. All spoke very good English.
Great staff and good food Still not sure about the lighting in the room - what's wrong with a simple light switch for the white lights! Although once you've worked it out the two remotes it is good fun!
comfortable large modern room with exelent view parking lot accross hotel's rather busy street
Great style and design, great breakfast, excellent beds. A good place to stay for a great price.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. And the rooms were very stylish but havinmg the car park across the road was an inconvenience and for a hotel of this standard why are there no coffee / tea facilities in the room?
Nice and calm, excellent restaurant, rooms OK
Beautiful location Could not find any
the location, the food, and the room no
The room was clean and modern with a very nice bathroom The service at breakfast was ok apart from from person who was very grumpy and rude, when asked if we could have a cup of coffee
I arrived at this hotel half an hour after midnight only to find it closed. The bell didn't work. I therefore called the number on the reservation form for over an hour. No answer. I walked around the hotel twice in the bloody rain and tried all doors, all locked. At 2 am a guest came out to get something from his car and let me in. I found an unlocked room, checked for any telephone numbers and dialed a mobile. Then somebody came. He asked why I hadn't called. 'Because the bell doesn't work. He checked the bell (which didn't work of course) and said 'There SHOULD have been a note on the door for you'. Bloody beautiful, what use is 'SHOULD'? There was NOT. I had a short night and nearly missed my flight that day. I still had to pay! AVOID!! Schandalig dat gasten bijna 2 uur in de regen en kou moeten rondlopen en ook nog moeten betalen.
I really enjoyed my stay. Nice and helpful staff and facilities very OK. Coffee/tea making facilities is alsways a nice plus, but not a must.
The surrounding area was lovely for walking. The staff was helpful and the atmosphere relaxing and comfortable. The hotel was located on busier road than I'd expected.
The room was very tidy and nice, and a large bathroom was included. The food served in bistro "Charlz" was excellent, good service. A very, very small television in the hotelroom.
good reception, nice in & out environment, excellent and clean room with all comfort - real great value for money nothing wrong
Hotel Hof van Twente is situated in a village near Almelo, Hengelo and Enschede, It has a good bar/restaurant part. The beds are soft, cushions good. Staff is friendly and acts pro-active: I checked in very late, the receptionist asked me if I wanted something to eat, he did not want his customers to go to bed hungry. No.
Food was very good, quiet location
Friendly staff, good food. Rooms were too hot.
Staff was very helpful in helping me find a camera store. The location is quiet and beautiful, just outside a small town. The dinner was excellent as was the service. Good, basic breakfast buffet. Dinner was a bit expensive but it came with many side dishes.
We like that the Hotel is at the country and we therefore prefer to stay ther with our dogs
Staff/owners were very friendly, they were very helpful in providing bike storage space. They had also obtained information about a local event in which we were participating Room was very warm and while the breakfast selection was good there was no cereal
Absolutely first class, excellent service, very freindly staff. Comfortable rooms and good food. No cereal for breeakfast, but then thats a culteral thing.
Ambience, setting everything was good.
The closeness to the woods was great. That was just where we wanted to be. Staff very friendly. Food good. Bathroom did not smell very fresh when we first went into the room
The hotel is in a lovely setting and the staff were friendly and willing to help. 1. My bill included a sum of 90 euros for 4 telephone calls. There was no rate information in the room. I stay in Dutch hotels for more than 100 nights every year and this is over 4 times more per minute than comparable calls from any other Dutch hotel. 2. Because I had to leave for work early I arranged for a breakfast pack to be prepared. On 2 of the 4 days I was there it wasn't done. 3. Although the rooms were acceptable they are a little tired and in need of renovation. There was a plan exhibited to show that they were being done in 2010 but no sign that anything was actually happening. There are too many good hotels available in Holland and I will not be staying here again.
The restaurant is very good. Good food, very nice service, reasonably priced. The rooms on the top floor are very warm. (Flat roof)
location/surroundings menu/preparation of the food/not representative for a 4 star hotel
Nice pool and good sized bedroom. Room was nicely decorated but somehow lacked atmosphere. Very Clean and excellent bar /restaurent area. Very relaxing.
the restaurant is a nice room The room was small, really a "leftover room". The bathroom had an ugly smell that entered into the room. There were many midgets we were not warned for and when we found out it was too late. We could not get another room anymore. So if you really have to go to this hotel, do not take room 106.
Good breakfast. Tea & coffee facilities in room
We had booked 2 singles and 1 double. We ended up with 2 large twin rooms with balcony and 1 large double suite. We only had breakfast there but the choice was excellent as well as the service throughout.
Everything was o.k.; would like to mention the restaurant which is excellent.
The hotel was clean and welcoming with an ideal position in the centre of town. The garden, restaurant and lounge were all ideal for post work or exercise relaxation. If you are a very light sleeper the church bells may disturb you but that is not a criticism of the hotel itself.
Loved being in the center of town, with shops, church bells and cobblestones.
The first room I was offered was obviously already occupied
Clean, quiet, centrally located hotel. Polite and attentive staff. Good quality and excellent price. Exellent restaurant within hotel.3* hotel. Would certainly stay again if visit area. Breakfast good quality but slightly limited choice.
cleanness and services, Quality of food served in the restaurant
Good location and restaurant English was a problem
Clean, big and beautifl room (superior room). Excellent location, right at the square with beautiful views to church and terrases. Comfortable bedrooms Old building, so noisy as to hearing all neighbours' noise. Market was not a problem, though. Nice hotel, but don't believe deserves the 4 stars or the high price. Would recommend the hotel if for a more reasonable price.
Staff was flexible in changing my room into a better one (lighter, less noisy) No airconditining
It was the first time I have stayed at a hotel anywhere around the world...I Hate to carry toothpaste /shampoo /condition, they were unable to provide these basic items which is available in any hotel where ever you are around the world apart from this hotel it seems.
The hotel is situated on walking distance of the center of Lochem in very calm surroundings. The attitude of the staff; with the exeption of the lady who served the breakfast!!
Very poor, for me it is not a 4 stars, on your site the say internet gratis but is is an "hotspot" from KPN, chek the prices!!!
Very nice location and very good service
The management and personnel were excellent
nothing everything: small claustrophobic room, to small bed, restaurant to expensive for the quality, hotel is not 4 stars but maximum 2-3 stars, no mini bar in room, hotel is in my opinion not renovated since the '60.
Swimming pool and nice hotel staff.
Pleasant hotel and a nice breakfast
everything was o.k. it was a nice place to stay no
Well located and comfortable, in a quiet part of the city.
nice atmosphere, excellent choice of food, peaceful surroundings
very nice location aside the oldest watermill of the netherlands.
Excellent country setting. Very good choice of breakfast
The morning breakfast! The beds! Two single beds put together only to split apart when rolling over and falling on the ground.
The value for money foor the hotel accomodation was fine. The value for money in the restaurant was between poor and fair. The relation between the supplied meal and the price for the main course (€ 17,50) was out of proportion compared to other hotels with the same price for the main course. Starting breakfest from 07.30 as standard without giving notice first to tghe Hotel staff.
beautiful location and a great few from the room. Good breakfast buffet the corridors and the rooms didn't look very modern (more old), the delux room is not more luxurius, only bigger in my oppinion
staff unhelpful ; shower extremely poorly constructed i.e. water flowing into bathroom itself breakfast opening hours much too late ; i.e 8.00 AM
staff friendly and competent; location quiet and in the middle of nature; very much value for money.
Location of hotel is most beautiful. Staff very friendly & helpfull.Greaat food.
Great location, friendly staff, good food Old building, so a bit noisy.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff were most helpful from check in to check out.
Hospitality; Personel was very friendly.
Staff were efficient - speaking English and informative. Breakfast was very good. Room was cold (we stayed last weekend) We came back early from the wedding and would have liked to have known if the bar was open. No-body told us of this facility. We didn't even know it was there so was really disappointed in the morning to see the bar and sitting area which we perhaps could have used.
Good service,nice bath room
Water boiler at the room with free tee /coffee, nice atmosphere
price quality: everything is present, but the hotel is old and needs renovation the beds were small, and the room too
The restaurant and food was excellent. I arrived 20:40 to be advised that the restaurant only serves main courses after 20:30 and closes completely at 21:00. I feel that this is a little early to limit dinner and 20:40 is not late for a Hotel. However, the waiters did their best to offer me a starter and the food was excellent.
Typical old style (70's) building, no charm, stiff price level. Max. one day. Acceptable for business not for leisure.
the rooms had been nicely refurbished. service was given with a smile. breakfast and catering were very good. the service at dinner was very slow
Large rooms, very nice style, very clean. Great location. Staff is exceptionally friendly! Nice breakfast buffet. The style of the hotel in general, it is very cosy and individually funitured. We felt very welcome and comfortable throughout our entire stay. If there was any downside it was the slightly enhanced noise level during the night on weekends (the hotel is located at Doetinchem's main place), so if you are sensitive, just ask for a room facing the courtyard instead of Simonsplein.
Well located in the town centre with plenty of facilities nearby. The staff were welcoming and friendly Being in the town centre it was noisey as there were bars below; although this apparently only a problem on Friday and Saturday - the nights we were staying!
Very convenient for town centre. Easy to find. There's not really much more to say. Hotel faces onto the main square which was very noisy with people eating & drinking until after 02:00 on both Friday and Saturday. The hotel has no bar or restaurant although there are plenty of these in the immediate vicinity (see above).
So close to everything and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was quite good too. It got quite hot at night. And there are no lifts - but the staff are lovely enough to help you up the stairs which is excellent.
The recomendation of the associated "Hank's Bistro"
The central position of the hotel in a very pleasant town.
Good location in a picturesque town. Well sign-posted once in town. Rather a lot of noise at night from bar downstairs.
Basic but cheerful, friendly staff, good breakfast. Neighbouring bars and nightclubs caused some noise well into the night.
