They were grossly understaffed, so they did not answer the phones at all, & the wrong car was given to me dirty...Cons:

Ordered car online. Location was on a Pensacola Navy base which required DOD security clearance to enter. Appeared to be regular pick up location online. Called Enterprise to fix. They said they confirmed availability and transferred my reservation & sent me to location 10 miles away who had zero cars available. The wanted to give me 9 passenger “church style van”. Second location wanted to help but they had nothing. They said corporate representative never called to check availability. After waiting a long time another car was returned which they gave me. Hours wasted on our Florida vacation.Hertz

After we arrived in the destination city, I called to arrange a time to pick up the car and was told they were out of cars. I asked how they allowed the reservation to be completed when there was no availably, they claimed it happens all the time.2.0 Poor

Cons:
We were set out with a bad tire that kept losing air. I aired it up many times. Took it to a Hertz office who sent us to a Firestone dealer for repair. The tire had been repaired but was leaking. We took our rental time to do your maintenance work. Then corporate decided it needed an oil change after we had waited for the approval and repair of the tire . and would no release the car. We were give $50.00 for our time and trouble of doing your maintenance, rely cheap for our loss of use and dangerous condition.4.4 Mediocre

Rental companies should not allow kayak or other site to make reservations for customers if their is not a way to communicate between the parties that there is no cars available.Ace

Cons:
Usually when the rental company states that they are off airport, there is a statement that there is no shuttle to their location if that's the case. Well, this rental company is so far away from the airport that it would have cost me $40 to get there by taxi. No shuttle. And when I called, they said they "could" return me to the airport when I brought the car back. I doubt that would have happened. So, from now on, I will only reserve cars from companies that are co-located at the airport or that explicitly state they have a shuttle. Lesson learned for me. I ended up renting from a company co-located at the airport, by the way. It cost me an extra $30 from my ACE rental but I saved the round trip taxi fare and the time. I had to provide ratings, by the way, in order to have my review published. I never went to ACE.Ace Rental Cars
