quality of hotel and room design/fittings
The hotel is a good location, clean and their staff excellents. Air co. fine, but the price expenceive fot hotel in that area ,can you stay in London for same money. The price high for hotel in countryside .
Location, convenient to visiting office rooms were too hot - no a/c. If you opened the windows it was too noisy. Attitude of the receptionist was not customer focused
Modern styling and comfortable quiet room.
The decor The rooms need fridgesand mini bar
lovely modern hotel no
We required a hotel near to Hatfield House, we were exhibiting at the Rose weekend and this hotel fit the bill beautifully. Three minutes away. We thought that it may be noisy because of its location on the map; but not a bit because it was the weekend it was peaceful and quiet;- lovely. The staff were delightful; young but obviously dedicated. Our waitress Mica had been with the Hotel three years and was very happy there. I asked her !! Our evening meal was absolutely superb even though they were catering for a wedding as well. The room was perhaps a little small. The bed was so comfortable we slept like babies. So pleased we made it to breakfast as this was divine and set us up for a busy day ahead. However bathroom was lovely and spotless.
Great, clean environment. Friendly, good service. Tidy and clean. High quality cotton bedding. Harmonic restaurant.
Tea/coffee, cookies, milk, water was in my room. Room was standart but enought large. There wasn't any EURO-UK power adapter on reception. Iron was broken.
clean and modern rooms, nice restaurant, good service nothing
The staff were kind and helpful and very professional The bed was hard and uncomfortable , the bathroom in a very poor state of repair, cracked and broken tiles.
It was central to the heart of the business location of Hatfield The hotel is tired, over priced and tatty, I would feel ripped off if I paid half the price.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
Outstanding staff The layout. Rooms need to be renumbered and mapping needs to be better. I had to go through 9, yes 9 doors to get from my room to reception. Also internet great in the bar but ridiculously expensive in the rooms for a bad signal!
Very convenient for local shopping and university Room booked as twin but made up as double. However staff responded quickly to swap room
Room decor and comfort were excellent A bit of a maze getting to the room from reception - no lift
Helpfulness of the staff
roome were a good size and well furnished. have booked adjoining rooms, I could not gain entry to one due to faulty lock and with out being asked was given another on a different floor at the other end of the hotel. Some staff were difficult to communicate with.
Location near the Uni and shopping Mall. Reasonable price. Reception not always very helpful. When I was at reception, a guest came in and asked if they had a lost property box as he'd left an expensive pen in the room the last time he'd stayed there - though this was several weeks before. The receptionist just said it was unlikely they would still have it and made no attempt to try to help him - in fact, she hardly looked up from what she was doing. In the end, he just said "ok" and left. I thought this was pretty bad service. In my case, I also found two of the people on reception rather unwelcoming. Service in the restaurant a bit slow and food rather tasteless. Water took ages to come out of bath taps and I had to run the bath at least 10 minutes before I wanted to use it.
good area and nice rooms the price of the breakfast was very expensive. the smell in the lobby was horrrible
Great location right beside University & Galleria Bathrooms need to be refurbished
Only spent a very brief overnight stop so do not really feel able to comment , however, the staff were very professional, friendly & helpful.
Good reception area with comfortable bar. Staff very polite. For one night bedroom perfectly adquate. Unfortunately work men in all weekend so room was smelling of paint. On Sunday morning they were working in our corridor. Duty Manager apologetic and gave us a big discount.
location - close to Unversity - breakfast not included.
The food was very good, but not in gourmet category in boxes above. Lack of breakfast at 7am on Saturday
Pet friendly and good service. When I complained about the food (not what I had ordered) the staff were very apologetic. No spare power point in the room so not convienient for a laptop user as had to use the same power point as the kettle. Would be better to have more, also to be able to use the laptop while sitting in bed. Menu not showing the correct food on offer. Food is expensive too.
Over-priced bar food.
staff friendly. Evening meal was good and staff happily accomodated request for plain bread rather than garlic. thanks for that. Felt comfortable as was travelling and staying by self, so security was important. Having drinking water tap was good! Mugs & glasses in my room when I checked in were dirty. Bathroom could have been cleaner (hairs, dust). Breakfast was not too good. Value for money of breakfast poor. Value for money of room poor.
Proximity to University of Hertfordshire, nearby bus stops Very low water pressure in bathrooms
Convenience to business. Hotel was also comfortable I think equivalent to other budget hotels and was satisfactory and accurate to the reviews on the website apart from the dinner service The meal service was poor in terms of availability of products and service was the slowest I think I have ever experienced...not good for a solo traveller
Ideal location for our needs reasonable price and good breakfast We booked the resturant for my wife and i and my daughter and husband we had one bad steak and even when given a steak knife it was impossible to cut we were given another meal but this took us past the 10.00pm cut off time for our sweats we were not told of the finishing time of the resturant, This was a special evening for us as it was my daughters first wedding anniversary when we came to check out the following day we were not charged for the meal and the person on the reception was very apologetic it will not stop us staying with you again as it is close to where my daughter lives.
The breakfast was a 10/10 night staff on reception left us waiting for entry into the hotel, until he had finished a phone call. Barman ignored us when we tried to order food and drinks and served a customer who had obviously been in the bar all night giving tips to the staff! Night staff were very poor to say the least!
Location, excellent breakfast buffet, good food in evening offerings Unable to call internationally and night staff had no clue about solving situation.
Friendly staff at the reception. Within 10 minutes' walk from the Luton airport. We sat at the hotel restaurant table for 20 minutes without even being noticed by the staff. And oh yes, we tried everything except shouting. They just walked on by, so we left to dine elsewhere. The Internet tv image resolution was lousy and the tv channels did not show properly (antenna or cable defect?)
the bed was really comfortable none
The location from the airport, very convienient. Ideal for a business person or a family looking for a one night stay. Staff very friendly and efficient There are no complaints
We arrived late and the staff were welcoming, friendly and gave an excellent service. Location very good. 24-hour bar a great asset. Room was much too small, very clostrophobic. We stayed in room nbr 106 (ground floor), window faced the car park and we had no privacy - only if the curtains were drawn. Curtains were damaged and did not close properly. Price of gbp 79 far too high for these standards.
Restaurant staff seem to be bothered by our presence and not too will to see if we required service at all or not
Room was comfortable, cosy and very clean. Lobby/bar area was cold, was freezing outside but maybe heating could've been turned up.
Location for airport. Good bar and restaurant area unusual for an Ibis. Usual Ibis cleanliness.. Watch out for the pricing policy. The published rate is a fiction. Always book in advance to fix the rate.
It's less than 15 minutes walk to Luton Airport The bed in the first room they gave me apparently hadn't been changed from the last occupant since it contained several long black hairs. I asked for a different room and was given one, but this changeover ate into the five hours sleep I was already limited to and should not have been necessary.
No obvious directions from the airport terminal to Ibis Hotel for guests not arriving by car. There is a regular bus service (stop en route to Parkway) but it isn't well promoted.
perfect location for very early flight next morning
Nothing The room was very small The shower was very small Nothing was good about this place
the attention given by check-in staff and the comfort of the rooms, good food none
Convenience. Restaurant good for what it does. Order off the specials board. Very well sound-proofed.
closeness to airport, clean, efficient room no warning that there would be a charge for parking the car overnight check in staff short on charm!
Location location location Nothing bad
Excellent location by the airport, nice and professional personnel, professional services, clean
Hotel is very near to airport and i was satying to pick up some friend of mine and it became very easy for me .
Excellent location close to airport. Very quiet and comfortable room with good shower. Complimentary breakfast was fine with good quality ingredients .On a freezing cold weekend, the hotel was very warm and cosy. Whilst dinner was of acceptable quality, the menu was perhaps overpriced because of the captive market. I do resent paying £5.90 for a glass of not very good wine.
nice having a bar, free breakfrast buffet, coffee and tea started at 430am. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Ran out of things at breakfast time
There was insufficient lighting in the bathroom and bedroom to make up. Please please allow pets!
Every aspect was ideal for the peaceful, luxurious and celebratory stay for which we were looking. The management of the restaurant seemed to leave something to be desired. Whilst the staff were pleasant, helpful and courteous, many of them appeared to be wandering around aimlessly as if they did not know what they were supposed to be doing. Further, there must surely be something to be said for guests to be allocated tables for the duration of their stay, rather that allocated haphazardly at each meal.
i booked for my 21st wedding anniversary as a surprise for my wife. The entire weekend was absolutely brilliant, outstanding historic building, great facilities, wonderful staff, fab food, we enjoyed the spa too. We will recommend to freinds and return without doubt. no
Hotel was Luxurious, Staff friendly and Spa facility amazing, would Highly recommend. No, all good
The hotel itself is grand and beautiful with lots of character. The staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable and the food was delicious. We loved pre dinner drinks and the atmosphere in the lounge with the fire burning. The swimming pool and sauna and steam room were great. The jacuzzi had the most powerful jets and we thoroughly enjoyed being the only guests that afternoon as they only just opened the pool. The walk around the hotel is lovely with the secret garden making it more attractive.
The restaurant in the hotel, The Wernher, was superb. The food was totally excellent. Worth every penny! The service was very good too. The hotel itself is beautiful , inside and outside. The grounds are lovely. When i booked, i was given the impression that the room would have views of the grounds,as that was part of the room description. But we were given a room that was far away from the grounds and below the ground floor. But the room itself was gorgeous.
The buildings and grounds are superb, the spa is very good but most importantly the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Anthony at concierge.
For a stately home it had a homely atmosphere.
- Pet friendly - Beautiful building with beautiful rooms and beautiful gardens - The kitchen is just regular - We had to queue for the breakfast because the room is too small - We had to reserve even for the 5 o clock tea hours in advance
Luton Hoo is a superb hotel The staff are excellent and very professional the buildings impressive and the dining rooms spectacular .. we did not play golf but we did think the course looked very boring ...the spa was wonderful and the rooms very comfortable and extremely spacious We had a room in the coach house [ an ungrade not asked for but offered ! ] It was above the pro shop of the golf course and very noisy [ beware ]

Not much to state as Premier Inn's are very much similar in standards where ever they are located
Staff pleasant and helpful. Breakfast and in-room food very good. Shower wasn't working.
Friendliness of the staff and the general atmosphere. The room was excellent.
The staff were very efficient and helpful and the room was lovely and clean. Nothing
Room Clean and prepared Location handy to where my family were visiting Room was cold on arrival and took a while to warm through I thought I had paid with my card for my daughter and her husband however they had to pay when they arrived had they not had a means to pay this would have caused them great embarrassment - having given my card number I would expect the payment to be taken from this. I had to reimburse my daughter the costs.
this was my first experience staying in a hotel on my own as a lone female. I felt very safe and secure.
Staff very helpful Breakfast time to short
We had an excellent stay and could not fault the hotel or staff.the staff were most welcoming especialy the lady receptionist who had some difficault people to deal with
Clean, tidy, straight forward check in Heating was off in our room , we got there late and it was really cold until I put the heater on , would have been perfect if last customer had left radiator on even just to take chill off room considering time off year.
Fresh Clean hotel, friendly Staff. Easy to find. restaurant next door. No free Wi-Fi
use of the leisure facilities
Hotel with everything, restaurant, bar, gym, pool and comfy room Shame that the WiFi is not free. I think all hotels should provide this now for free.
I liked the main part of the hotel,, restaurant, pool etc The staff could not get the so-called central heating to work. It looked more like an air conditioner. There was a moveable electric radiator, but they are dangerous to use at night
No stairs Noise from closing of doors during night.
ample parking beds very hard, room dated and tatty, bathroom grout and silocone was black in places
Was for work - not pleasure!! Meal in the Thistle restaurant was nice Very shabby and dated - could do with a face lift
Everything was bad, rooms dirty, rooms to hot, room service poor, staff unhelpful and miserable looking, no vegitarian dishes, harldly any drink at the bar.
As a single female traveller, I would have preferred not to be on the ground floor.
The room that I had was too warm and I was unable to cool it without increasing the traffic noise from the busy road outside. Plumbing noises were all I needed for an early morning call and that was with ear plugs in situ! The mattress offered had broken spring metal hanging out of it and the cover was ripped The breakfast menu had two types of sausage offered and I asked for the Cumberland sausage, the three that I was offered in no way resembled the said sausage at all.
The fact I booked and paid for 3 twin rooms at the same time, one for us, one for my parents, one for my son. It was our treat for my parents as it was my son's graduation. 3 times my father was told that his room had not been paid for and was asked how he was going to pay.
The fact that the children could have their breakfast in their room with a tiny service charge. The bed was very comfortable That we were only there for one night!
staff were friendly, nice breakfast. food and drink are very over priced (roughly £30 for a main). Small portions, and cold! i stayed in one of the best rooms in the hotel, and the bedspread was heavily soiled. tv stations not all working. as people are eating their expensive dinners, the hotel wedding co-ordinator likes to show prospective clients around the restaurant (pointing and standing next to tables discussing wedding plans). hotel was over priced by far. I have stayed in better, with bigger bedrooms for far cheaper! will not use again!
the location is superb with lovely grounds backing onto a park and a wealth of ancient roman remains. The hotel buiding itself is a wonderful example of Georgian architecture. The cuisine is excellent but expensive. a party consisting of a high number of young children that monopolised the bar and lounge areas.
Excellent family atmousphere, good caring professionalism of staff, high quality dining and clean, well desigbed rooms Nothing at all
The staff are extremely nice, and the hotel is in a beautiful setting. We got upgraded as it was our honeymoon. Dinner in the restaurant was very delicious, but it was a bit expensive for the relatively small portions, and the music was a bit out of place/loud.
Good food at good prices Parking
The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was good. The rooms were noisy, with thin walls. The main problem was with banging doors in the small and early hours. The sprung doors need to have silencing pads as they close. We did mention this to the staff.
The location was good for our visit to relatives in the area. I was also able to walk to the Underground station for trips to central London. The room was a bit small.
The restaurant was excellent and the room was stylish and suitable for a nights stay. The bathroom could have been warmer.
Location vs Cost = Perfect
Rooms were clean and well kept. Staff friendly and helpful Hotel need air conditioning hotel room very warm
easy access rooms to small not worth £40 per night
Generally very good
Clean and easy to access The internet di not work. It did notshow it was within range even though it was.
The room was very nice just the bedspread was a little dirty and was a surprise considering the quality and room furnishings (very nice). In the area of the building where I stayed, I could hear the occupants in the other rooms I.E. if they opened a door, used a power outlet. This is my only complaint. On the upside, Savoro does not have so many rooms so when it was time to sleep it was fine. Otherwise, it was very nice and a very high standard compared to most hotels in London I.E. if you are not paying â£300/night.
so the bed was very comfortable as was the room in general the view from the room wasn't fantastic but thats a stretch to find something wrong to say
the perfect comfort of beds, the cleanliness of the room and bath, the restaurant and its prices No bus to and from the Luton airport. Distance to Luton Airport; although on websites it says the hotel is pretty close to the airport, actually it is not that close.
the cleanliness of the room and facilities in general was quite impressive the shower was faulty in my room, sort it out guys! it's an unnecessary blip on your otherwise unblemished record
Clean. New. No bar facilities in room. No bar late for customers. Cold reception. Staff foregin and not very warm on arrival. Food awful
Lovely new and clean hotel, friendly porofessional staff and a very comfortable night. The restuarant is large and rather lacks atmosphere. £9.50 extra per person for breakfast a bit expensive so we gave it a miss.
Hotel staff very friendly, room very clean and comfortable
Very nice room with upmarket fittings. Paper thin walls between rooms. You could hear everything going on. Very poor breakfast that doesn't do justice to the Hilton brand. Surprisingly the breakfast was no better in quality over a premier Inn. Premier Inn comes out on top in terms of quietness. Their doors don't slam.
Nicely decorated reception area and room. The location isn't great for central Luton.
For the £65 I paid I wasn't expecting one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I include in this list some prestigious 4 and 5 star hotels and lodges. The room was large, well appointed, the bed supremely comfortable, the shower large and like standing under Niagara Falls and the free internet access and widescreen tv were an added bonus. We stayed in the hotel for dinner and were very impressed with the quality and value. Breakfast at £9.95 was also excellent. I cannot fault any aspect of this place and would highly recommend it to anyone. Let's hope that once the smell of fresh paint subsides the staff are equally enthusiastic.
Lovely room, excellent value for money
chack in took too long
I didn't feel rooms were that clean and quality of furnishings were poor. Car Parking was also a pain!
excellent location, during a cold spell in St. Albans the hotel provided a nice warm and pleasant oasis.. sant nothing
Hotel is central and close to amenities.
Although there was a notice advising that the water inthe shower tap was very hot, we were unable to control the heat of the shower, as no cold water came from the tap!
It was everything we had hoped for - excellent location and an interesting historical building. Good breakfast and comfortable night.
In center and easy to come to.
Location. Breakfast was cold, teapot poured everywhere but in the tea cup.In the room there was not a welllit mirror for applying make up, not even the bath room mirror was well lit.
Well equipped comfortable room. Cosy bar. Good breakfast with rapid service. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy throughout. Get there early to find a parking space (they do have an overflow car park along the road so there's always somewhere to put the car).
Staff were good and the room was well prepared
Location, cleanliness, newly refurbished
Cleanliness, practical and reasonably priced I was disappointed that the advertised £29 did not apply to me even though the In was not over crowded. Had the price been skightly lower I believe you may have had more quests for the Saturday
The breakfast Buffet was poorly organised. We had to ask for plates and cups and also hot water for tea. the tables were not very clean either.
The rooms are basic, but very clean. The staff were excellent, helpful & friendly. The Breakfast was also excellent, there was a lot of choice and you could help yourself. You could not view the telly and use the mirror (to do hair/makeup etc) at the same due to the location of the mirror.
Clean And warm ( too warm maybe)
Nice bedding and colour-scheme/ambience of room good Range of tv channels Good eating place attached Shower not powerful
Pillows too high and hard
It was cheap, the staff were friendly and verey helpful and the room was comfortable. My husband particularly liked the king size bed as he is tall! It was a lovely quiet location but close to our venue for the evening. Good special offers for dinner too. Nothing negative really - we didn't have breakfast as we weren't hungry enough to do justice to the all you can eat price!
The Premier Inn was very quiet even though it is right next to a railway line. We stayed here 27.11.10 and 28.11.10 - temperatures outside were below freezing but we were comfortable and warm in our room. There is a nice Beefeater Restaraunt next door for meals. We would use this Premier Inn as we have family living in Welwyn Garden City and it was very convenient also for a train trip into London (25mins)
Everything was as expected for a one night stay I,and a few others complained about being served cold breakfast at 08-12 in the morning
Staff good, room good Mattresses are crap. Came away with ba back.
Location was good, central but quiet. Superb English breakfast included. If you remember Faulty Towers - this is it. Bathroom was very rudimentary - but lots of hot water.
We were there just 1 night and spent very little time in the hotel, however it was clean, comfortable and good value, the breakfast was really enjoyable
Comfortable bed and a good shower facility Too many stairs, no lift and quite narrow. Not the best if you have anything other than a handbag. No place to plug in a laptop with ease.
all the staff were extremely helpfull none
It was convenient for the centre of town and so there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I did not feel that the hotel was value for money, £75 for a double room did not include breakfast.
Good cooked breakfast Room very small though adequate. Generally staff helpful and friendly apart from Breakfast server - a little surly and unfriendly.
The location and a nice staff. Nothing
The staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel was in a very convenient location. The bed could have been more comfortable.
We were upgraded when checking in & the room was lovely. Clean, comfortable & spacious. Breakfast was good too. Staff very helpful. No, very happy on all counts.
Very friendly staff, good food in bar & restaurant, beautiful view from room, short walk to centre of town. Traditional older-style UK hotel, in a residential neighbourhood. No elevator, our room was up two flights of narrow stairs. Bathroom extremely small. Single pane windows made nearby train a little noisy.
the staff were very helpful, the room was kept beautifully the surroundings where peaceful
