The staff were very nice and quick to respond. We had a broken towel bar and someone fixed it right away. Having paid through a 3rd party, I felt the $6.99 for breakfast was too much. It really would be better to charge a couple more dollars and include the breakfast.
The room was clean and the a/c worked well! The mini fridge was a nice touch for a standard room. The waterfall was awesome and had a gazebo and short trails. Seems unimportant, but the water pressure and temp was perfect. The staff was great. They grabbed extra towels and supplies quickly when we asked and offered the hot tub past hours since the pool was down. Housekeeping tends to knock until you answer so put the do not disturb sign up! The pool was unusable due to chemically shocking it for 24hrs. That was just an inconvenience since we had a child with us that was so looking forward to it. The spa/hot tub was nice just very hot and no way to regulate it. I was surprised by the fact breakfast was not included. We had to pay $5+ per person. Lastly, the pond out back is awesome but could use some attention. It smells like a merky pond.
Staff was friendly. Checked in but had some running around to do so we came back to the room later. Upon returning we found that the smoke alarm was constantly beeping and the comforter in the bed had large cigarette burns in them right where house keeping would turn the bed down so they had to be noticed. Told the front desk about the beeping and their response was that there was nothing that could be done due to maintenance being gone for the day. When we were leaving the following morning housekeeping asked what room we were leaving from and as I told her she must have sensed my frustration and asked if everything was ok. In which case I responded not really considering I spent all night listening to their smoke alarm beep so I really didn't sleep. She apologized and then continued to tell me that she had told maintenance about it the previous day. Don't stay here, find somewhere better.
Clean, convenient, great price noise by highway, but okay while sleeping and water pressure just okay in shower and the shower was very worn....needing updating.
Nothing. VERY rude staff. It was the filthiest room I've ever been in. Whole room stank of old smoke and pet odor. Demanded another room and they showed me two more which were even worse. Food scraps on the floor and on the table. Pillows stank, towels had stains and stank, comforter had holes. Microwave was all greasy and nasty. A/C half broken, fridge not cold, one lamp had no bulb and they said maintenance is gone for the rest of the day and it was 3 PM. All the night constant highway noise was only interrupted a few times by people fighting and shouting curses at each other. Didn't feel safe. It ruined my whole short getaway trip. NEVER AGAIN.
The lobby coffee The huge amount of hair on the sheets and bedframe and having to put new sheets on myself!
Nothing really The place was filthy, I felt unsafe even though it was in a good area. We were booked for 2nights but left after 1.
The staff was very courteous. The bathroom facilities were terrible! You had to hold the handle to flush the toilet. The sink was stopped up, couldn't wash hands without the sink filling up. There was hair on the wall of the shower. Have stayed at various Red Roof Inns but will NEVER go back nor recommend this location.
beds were comfortable - room clean - simple but adequate breakfast front desk staff could have been friendlier
My room should have cost $---. The hotel messed up and charges 6 transactions to my credit card for a total of $--- for one nights stay. When I brought this to their attention it was lots of excuses and said I would have to wait 5-7 days for correction!!
For a 2 star rated hotel, this was better than many 3 star hotels I have stayed at. It has almost everything needed for an overnight stay and some things I would not expect a 2 star hotel to have. It was quiet and clean and convenient to get to. Wish the workout room had some dumb bells in it. Breakfast wasn't the best. Needed some pre-made oatmeal and more fruit.
Quiet and clean room.
It was very clean, pretty quiet, breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly. I liked everything about my stay.
Friendly AC unit did not cool the room very well
Everything was fine. The staff was friendly and helpful and there was room enough for three of us. It was clean and welcoming.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The staff was very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was quite good and everything was kept fully stocked on the breakfast bar. The room was very clean and smelled clean. The air conditioner took a while to cool down the room. This was probably due to the temperatures outside being in the 90's.
Breakfast and pool. The room was nice also Room was small
Friendly staff. Went out of their way to help us.
The place is located close to everything. The staff is great and are friendly. The front reception looked good; the rooms were good too. I was surprised by some smell outside my room (none inside). The staff put some device outside which was whirring away.
Continental Breakfast was excellent, Room was clean, excellent location. Good vslue for the money. Plenty of restaraunts shopping nearby. outside entrances were dirty cigarette butts, plastic bags, one ice machine was broken, very dirty around ice machines.
The La Quinta Inn is one of my go to hotels to stay in. The staff is always helpful and the rooms are nice. Everything is always clean and the bed are super comfortable.
the room was rather quiet despite the noisy intersection. My room had no soap! Housekeeping said they were out. I had to go to store to buy my own soap...that has never happened before. Dog feces were in the 2nd floor hallway (on carpet) 10/7 morning.
Very Friendly staff. Great hospitality, free continental breakfast Clean Rooms Large Bathroom Easy in, easy out
Location was excellent. There was a huge gap in the doorway from my room, which caused for you to be able to hear everything in the hallway, and you could actually see in the hallway through the gap. The furniture was outdated for a Hampton Inn.
The room was good and the bed comfortable. The hotel was close to many restaurants and stores for shopping. Pool was small but nice temp and chlorine level. The food for breakfast was nice with good selection. Several softball teams staying while we were there ; were not well behaved at all. Playing on elevators, talking , running all over hotel and lot. Unable to eat breakfast on one morning because they had the whole area full. No hotel apology from staff !
Convienence to our destination no
The hotel was so close to interstate that you heard trucks wizzing by all night long.
nothing it was very small
location to ORD airport. Not too far, not too close. an hour drive.
The people worked there are very nice and friendly. The lobby is clean and the breakfast is very good.
breakfast area was so small that was the only area to seat st in the hotel
Staff, room and convience No
While this hotel is getting a little older, you can tell that they work hard to keep to keep it clean. I have bad allergies, so I struggled a little with that. But the beds were good, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was surprisingly good - even had fresh fruit.
The room was comfortable and spacious. The staff was friendly and showed a genuine sense of caring.
Nice room, very comfortable. Lighting in the bathroom area was too dark. I spoke to management and they are looking into it.
This hotel was wonderful! The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and the housekeepers were so friendly! The breakfast was delicious and the sell awesome ice cream in the lobby!
staff was very helpful and pleasant breakfast was very good. Had a good experience and would return
Friendly staff. I arrived more than an hour before check-in time, but the they worked to get me a clean room anyhow. Room was clean (except a sizeable stain on the lounging chair). I was in the area for a class, so I was in my room studying in the afternoon and evenings. The desk, lamp, and desk chair were comfortable. The hotel is near I-65, but I never heard much traffic noise from the interstate. The coffee was plentiful and good (not great, but good enough that I didn't bother with going to Starbucks). Well done.
Reasonably quit. Close proximity to shopping Breakfast was limited
Great location, very close to food and shopping. Service was poor; employees were nice but didn't grasp customer service. Eg. All hotels ask for a credit card to place a hold for incidentals; this one needed my card in case I break something in the room. Both waffle makers were broken but I'm pretty sure they just didn't want to put out batter. Most of the equipment in the gym was broken. I specifically picked this hotel because of the gym and breakfast. In one evening and a short morning, 3 people (two in elevator and one at breakfast) said in these words, "Last time I'm staying here. This place gets worse every time.".
Nothing The bed service you have
The room was likely completely renovated. The walls freshly painted, linoleum instead of carpeting (and thus, no lingering smells), new furniture, all new bathroom fixtures. All still in-line with what you would expect in Motel 6 (i.e. utilitarian), but all in working condition and clean. Water pressure in the shower was adequate (in contrast with some other reviews), and the tub drained quickly. The front-desk staff was great - efficient and inviting. I asked for a quiet room because I was going to bed early. I do think they gave me a room that had away from other rooms. I didn't hear much chatter outside my room. That being said, somewhere within hearing distance, one of the self closing doors was in use all night long. I heard that door banging and one person walking up and down the stairs until about 3 am.
Just the tx Floors are sticky and slimy Bathroom mirror look like it was just used one of their own towels to wipe it down with Big smudges No microwave nor fridge No additional privacy curtain Not enough parking They charge for each additional person per your room But the booking app don't Front desk told me it's $7 a night per extra person But the room tag says $3 per night We stayed the weekend This place like the screw people This place is not quiet Other guests screaming and yelling When we were leaving Two parents were fighting and screaming Leaving their toddler unattended
The price The hard wood floors
Clean, quiet, and cheap place to sleep and shower. Front desk lady, at night, was friendly and efficient. Bathroom was pleasant surprise. Mattress was ok, not good. Pillows were decent, not amazing. The bedding/covers were thin, scratchy, and uncomfortable. No hair dryer. "Hard wood" floor was weird and not warm/inviting/comfortable. Hallways hot and stuffy, with a bit of a feel of, well, cheap motel.
Good location. Would like to see them upgrade the breakfast.
We were happy to see that the online photos accurately reflected the hotel and that the photos weren't pictures of another property. It was extremely pleasant and affordable experience--especially when considering the price. I'd be willing to pay a little more next time knowing what I now know. There really wasn't anything negative.
Staff seemed lazy. They wanted us to come downstairs to get towels and cutlery instead if bringing them to the room.
The hotel is located near restaurants and shopping, and major highways. The room itself was very nice with comfortable bed and plenty of desk space to work on. The shower was good and strong. We brought back leftovers from a restaurant meal and wanted to heat them up and eat them later. The kitchen had NO utensils or kitchen ware of any kind. It just had the appliances. Very disappointing.
