8.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a suite, which was spacious and had a balcony with view. Breakfast setting beautiful and the food very good. The restaurant was also very good for our dinner.
Cons: The bath and shower needed replacing, very old. The pool is on the small side. The bar staff seemed experienced and not very good. Had the worst cocktail of my 5 week trip in Germany. My husband waited over 30 minutes to order another drink in the lounge when it was almost empty. When we requested a bottle opener for the room the bar staffer, who seemed to be everywhere, came to the room and opened the bottle of wine. However she told us she could not leave an opener with us as it was her favourite one. Is there only the one bottle opener in the hotel???
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful, attentive and accompdating staff. Location was good, near shopping, and central for our needs, good parkong faciliies and very good restaurant.
Cons: We had a wonderful room, a liitle cold, and we were missing some thick down blankets, but that is a personal preferance. Beds were a little hard, otherwise it was perfect for our needs and we would definitely want to stay there again.

5.0 Okay
Pros: parking slots difficult, Employees sound overbearing and cautionary
Cons: very nice hotel interior, room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were traveling with our large dog and stayed in one of the Garden Rooms. The room was well appointed, cozy and comfortable. Dog bowls and blanket were waiting upon our arrival. The hotel is situated across the river from the historic city and castle, but that allows for glorious views in the evening and the ability to be away from tourist noise. It was an easy 10 minute walk along the bridge. What stood out the most was the staff. Each and every one of them could not have been more professional, welcoming and helpful with local recommendations. Would recommend without hesitation.

6.3 Good
Pros: Good location. Low cost relative to other places. I would stay here again, despite the things I didn't like.
Cons: Staff is only there in the morning at the front desk, thus it feels like a "ghost hotel", when you need service. The lighting in my room was very poor, the exhaust in the bathroom did not work. The pillow was very uncomfortable, even after I asked for a replacement. Breakfast was plentiful, but the bread was burnt on both days I was there. The bread is reheated in-house from wherever it originally came from.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: super friendly and warm welcome, great breakfast.
Cons: hard to say... nothing really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place, full of charm, in a great location. Staff was ultra friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything About the hotel is gorgeous! Please not that a narrow lane leads to it and that parking lots are very limited. Hence, parkers have to block one another.
Cons: More sortment should be added to the breakfast instead of keeping it as simple as it was.
5.8 Okay
Cons: No one in duty in evening. No coffee facilities for evening Lack of staff on duty to ask questions .

The room was great, very clean and quiet and with a view over the river Neckar. We would definitely recommend and book this hotel again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delightful location, welcoming staff, comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms - perfect!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location in the heart of Heidelberg. Very friendly and helpful personnel. Stunning rooms and restaurant where we ate breakfast. I would highly recommend this place
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel in a fantastic location only minutes from the main shopping area of Heidelberg. We were fortunate to be in town for the Christmas markets and this hotel is located perfectly for attending them. The room we had gave us a lovely view of the river. Breakfast was great down in the cellar with plenty of variety although European breakfasts are not what we are used to at home. The wide range of options though more than made up for it and we didn't go hungry.
Cons: The only bad thing about our stay was parking. That said, there is a public carpark only a few minutes walk away so it wasn't so bad. We were able to unload our luggage out the front of the hotel and then go and park our car. The hotel staff gave us good directions to find the carpark and from memory they gave us a discount voucher too.

Pros: The location of the property was fantastic as we were planning on going to the Christmas markets. I loved the personal touches in the rooms and that they were unique. The check-in process was very easy and we felt very welcome. Thank for such a lovely accommodation.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious and clean room. Great restaurant at the hotel. Superb staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was the best hotel we’ve stayed in Europe. After living in Germany for 15 years and travelled through Europe and the Middle East this was the best. Excellent
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: The only thing I like about this place is the location to many attraction places.
Cons: The room were too small for two people and there is no elevator ( this may not apply if you are light travelers). We have been charge for 12 Euro per person for breakfast which I believe that it is way too overpriced for what we get. The only hot food they serve were boiled egg and the rest were just a couple selections of ham and cheese and that's it. This place may suitable for Asian like us I presume.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We've stayed in several places in Heidelberg - most of them excellent - but this will be our first choice from here on out. A bit of a hidden gem, located on a quiet side street, but with easy access to transportation, the river, and the Altstadt. The breakfast was surprisingly generous and the breakfast room itself unusually pleasant. We originally came to the restaurant, had a wonderful dinner, and became curious about the hotel. The two together are simply wonderful.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quaint property and very quiet main bed in our room was comfortable nice pillows bathroom was spacious. Liked the hot pot available in the room

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fresh and contemporary hip. Excellent room on top 5th floor with balcony. Fine for sipping Riesling.
Cons: Minor tweaks only. The Nespresso machine in the room (a great amenity) simply did not function properly. It is a mere coffee machine, but house keeping should check that EVERYTHING in room is tip top. Regrettably, we were checking out that morning. Otherwise, a sensational hotel property. Thank you.

Pros: Very friendly staff, excellent location, room very clean & spacious, fantastic breakfast
10.0 Excellent

9.0 Excellent
Pros: An easy walk to the Haupstrasses and all the sights. Nicely appointed modern hotel with cafe downstairs.
Cons: I like the ability to make tea in one's room - not common in Europe but always appreciated by us when this occurs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: modern design, nice location, good value for money
Cons: nothing
6.0 Good
Pros: Pretty basic accommodations all around.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and clean room. Great service.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location and secure parking
Cons: No tea or coffee facilities in the room
7.0 Good
Pros: The room is very practical and has all the practicalities you need for staying 1 night. There's a corner bathtub, which we really liked since we drove for a long time and this was our stop on the road before going home. So for that the room was perfect to get a good night of sleep and relax in the bath.
Cons: We read that the breakfast was nice and decided not to do it when we arrived because the breakfast area looked super un-personal. There were bright TL lights and very cold'ish appearance. Just not nice to have a breakfast, especially when you're in such a cute little town. I'd recommend to just walk outside or to the center and have breakfast there.
7.0 Good
Pros: (+) Kind personel (+) Convenient location
Cons: I expected more considering the 3 stars and the price. (-) There was no fridge, no elevator and we could hear the water from the shower next room. (-) We asked for a double bed instead we got two mattresses attached to each other.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff
9.2 Excellent
Pros: You have access to all you want when you stay here, we stayed 4 nights. We had the view of old bridge and the river and just walking distance to the supermarket, restaurants and shopping centers. Highly recommend!
Cons: The breakfast can be improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast choices.
Cons: No parking close by.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. We were also very pleased to have all of our five member family located in one room, something that is difficult to achieve when travelling.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent--right on the river looking up at the castle, next to the old part of town; the breakfast was very nice, and the price was appealing, though I traveled in January.
Cons: The hotel is quite old and has not been updated much inside, except for the bathroom, which seems very up-to-date. It is well-maintained and the rooms are large, but it felt less appealing because of the age. Also the parking situation is difficult--you must drive a difficult route to reach the parking terrace (a city facility which is quite nice) and then a 10 minute walk back to the hotel, which was manageable but not preferred.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel full of character and charm and in a great location right by the old bridge over the Neckar River in the old part of the city. My room looked out over this view and it was fabulous. Very warm room given how cold it was outside so this was great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Comfortable bed and the room had all I needed. Glad I opted to stay here instead of a bland corporate hotel.
Cons: Nothing at all!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, comfortable room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Hotel Hollander Hof were exceptionally professional and helpful. My room (single) was very clean, the bed was larger than a usual single bed, and I had an amazing view of the river and Alt Brucke (bridge). The shower was a little small, but overall, this was a great place to stay while visiting Heidelberg Altstadt - very convenient to walk from the train station, as well.
Cons: I would probably not get the breakfast for 15 Euros, as I did not feel it was a good value. However, the staff were very helpful, and even called me by name after asking my room number.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Right in the heart of the old town. Can walk to restaurants, cafes, and pubs. When exiting the hotel you are right at the old bridge.
Cons: Must keep in mind that it’s an old building and be ok with that style of architecture and accommodations. Parking is also in a lot a few minutes walk away, but worth the location.

Cons: The reception is inside the restaurant by the kitchen. Impossible to stop and take your lugagge out of the car. The parking is 10 min away. If your lugagge is heavy you need to be very strong to roll if to the hotel. The room can be very noisy if you stay in a room in front of the street.

Pros: Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff and homey atmosphere. Good breakfast. Nice touches: complimentary small bottle of Chilean wine and bottle of water and a bag of chewy candies on the pillow.
Cons: Chiliean wine not palatable.

Pros: Superb location in the heart of the old town. Lots of character. Friendly helpful staff. Large comfortable room (room 3). Good breakfast mostly continental buffet with limited hot choices.
Cons: The hotel feels a little bit of a sideshow to the restaurant, with the reception desk at the back of the restaurant. The restaurant was fully booked both of our nights which was a shame. Personally I think a hotel should save a table for staying guests, at least for their first night, or else enquire in advance whether they would like to book a table.

Pros: Perfect location! Walking distance to the castle, bridge, old town area. Room was much larger than a typical hotel in Europe. They thoughtfully provided earplugs on the nightstand, we discovered, because street noise can be heard even on the top floor. Street is cobblestone, so if they are wheeling garbage bins, or honking horns, you will hear it if you are a light sleeper. Nice restaurant for breakfast that is included. They make great cappucino too!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our room was wonderful (big, clean, and quiet) and the property location and charm couldn’t be beat.
Cons: As they noted in a pre-arrival email, parking is a distance away. It would have been nice if they had a map we could take with us available—they had one copy and didn’t want to let it leave the hotel for fear it would disappear. Check out was not smooth—we waited for almost 15 minutes before being helped as the desk staff was giving EXTENSIVE tour guide information to another guest (including walking onto the street and pointing out directions), then it took another 20 minutes to find our information, reboot the credit card machine, get paper in the printer..... she was very friendly, but it wasn’t a great way to end the visit. One piece of advice—please improve internet speed and consistency. It was basically un-useable in the rooms and common area.

Pros: This hotel is beautiful, inside and out. The room was very comfortable, warm, spacious, and clean. Housekeeping was available every day. Towels were large. It is in a great location so it is easy to walk to the sites. There were plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There were lots of TV stations. WiFi was excellent. There were plenty of conveniently located outlets for recharging devices. It was easy to get to and from the train station using public transportation. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Pros: This is one of the oldest buildings in town and the hotel has a lot of charm. It is my favorite hotel as it has all the features of a larger and more "luxurious" hotel but has a degree of uniqueness and coziness reserved to only a few, historical places.
Cons: There is nothing that i truly do not like. Perhaps room 301 could do with a large mirror so that one can use it do to dress. Other than this, the hotel is perfect.
