our hostess was polite and helped us pick out another room to meet our needs better. We strongly suspect this place is not meeting any fire codes. Here, in Canada, we are not allowed to run several extension cords along the baseboards over carpeted floors. Also, our baseboards, window treatments and carpets were not clean!!!! I would not recommend this b and b to anyone!!! the bathroom ceiling was stained and mildewed!! The beds were very old and uncomfortable. We left after 1 night and stayed just down the road at a lovely resort for much less money. ... more

If you want to be comfortable with all the amenities and be in North Conway but striking distance to the mountains, this is a very good hotel. It feels very spacious. It wasn't very crowded but I imagine there are times of the year when it is and then it may get loud with kids at the pool. I didn't use the restaurant because I went in town. The fact that it had a very nice water park right at the resort for $20 a person. The front desk staff seemed like they couldn't be bothered with a complaint about a dark constantly barking, and brushed it off as if it the complainant was a nuisance. I was turned off by that. The hotel is in a great location, but it is not worth the extra money to stay here simply for some of the amenities. They have a good family-type atmosphere, and the outside crews are very friendly and helpful. The decor is dated and the televisions are't even flat screens (for the price you pay). They do have a great water park, and our kids loved it, but this does not make up for the difference in price compared to other convenient (and friendlier) places we have stayed in North Conway. There are better hotels for cheaper prices, that also have decent amenities, (and flat screen tv's). I doubt I would stay here again unless the price was reduced to be more in line with... ... more |

The whole 'Inn' experience, it just leaves you with this warm, cozy feeling that typical hotel rooms usually don't give. Sorry, but I have to be 'one of those people' and say, I really loved everything about this place! This Inn is gorgeous, and offers both pet friendly and regular rooms. We brought our two dogs up for the weekend, and had a wonderful time. The room had more than enough space for the four of us. This was our second time staying at the Kearsarge Inn. It's within walking distance of the downtown area, and our favorite Thai restaurant. There is also a delicious bakery right next door. The staff are always so kind and accommodating.
