Pros: I liked Davao, it is a large city with a lot to see and do. As an American visitor, I admit I got a lot of looks that made me uncomfortable, so I recommend you stay on your toes and be aware of your surroundings and use higher than normal precaution when moving around in the city. Still, most people are friendly and polite.
The costs are very reasonable in Davao, (even in the SM Lanham Mall which is connected to the hotel), especially when compared to Manila.
There are a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, and great places to eat in Davao. One of my favorites was the Giardino Gelato stand at the mall. I ended up stopping by there every day while in Davao and trying a new flavor.

Cons: Gym was too small and cramped. Heavy traffic all around the hotel, most of the time.
Pros: I like every thing about it , from staff , cleanliness , perfect location for business transactions. I felt safe the whole time of my stay.
Cons: It's kind of pricy , but reasonable as considered best hotel of Davao city .
Pros: Staff was great, food was great, rooms and facility were luxurious. Pool was nice - rules were relaxed for kid hours specially when we were the only ones in the pool!
Cons: We found a pair of socks stuck behind our TV
Pros: Everything. Great location. Great staff. Great value. Staff is very accommodating. When I was sick with flu and coughs I got a free room upgrade. Purchase the buffet with your reservation. Buffet is great. This hotel is the nicest of all four stars in Davao.
Cons: Lobby is too cold. The afternoon lobby buffet is a joke. Make it better. Keep up the good job.
Pros: Nice hotel in nice location.
Cons: Poor quality staff. They lost two orders for food and drinks and getting a bucket of ice delivered to the room was impossible. Very disappointed for a high end hotel. I will go somewhere cheaper next time because this Marco Polo isn't worth the extra money.

Cons: The room was small. No fridge, microwave, no phone to even call front desk. The room was very bare. I stayed 4 nights and one day they made the bed and didn't even change our towels. The air con wasn't even changeable. It was set either 17 or 19 degrees. So either too cold or too hot when you turn it off.

Pros: The staff was great, the food was great, the rooms were spotless and big. We stayed 9 nights and were there over Valentine's Day and they set up tables outside around the pool, brought in a singer to sing love songs, they brought in an outside Chef to cater it, not that it was necessary because their Chef is great. I hated to leave, I wanted to stay there forever. I loved everyone working there. They really care about you, even the guard would smile and say good morning or good evening to you every day. I will never stay anywhere else ever again when I visit the Philippines, which is 1 to 2 times a year. This place is an absolute gem. I hope the staff reads this and knows how incredible they truly are...thank you for the asbsolutely wonderful stay.
Cons: When I had to leave these terrific people and come home...lol...it felt like I was leaving family.

Cons: Showers could be a lot hotter. And somethings seamed more expensive then other. Like the buffet was very expensive and laudray service seemed a bit expensive.
Pros: The room was very clean, the bed was perfect, and the wifi was flawless.
Cons: The noise from weddings was over the top and intrusive. The restaurants were about double the price of eating off property. The shower was a bit run down and the sink took too long to get hot.
Pros: Hotel is I think oldest in Davao... no elevators and most of the AC units in room do not work.
They changed our room even then they said hotel infrastructure is old and cannot take the load.
We had 5 rooms... all of the AC units in deluxe rooms were horrible and rooms were hot. One of the room was executive suite and AC unit was working good., so book only suites here.
Hotel staff was excellent and accommodating though.
Cons: Rooms were hot, AC units were good for nothing, that made our stay really bad.
Pros: they were very friendly and courteous
Cons: I was there for 11 nights we treated by girlfriend's girlfriend for lunch buffet the second day we were there her girlfriend got diarrhea after being there 11 nights I got diarrhea the last five nights and my girlfriend had it for 2 nights probably from the food at the breakfast buffet
