Nice hotell + breakfast to good price The poolarea open first at 12.00
room and service - very nice, the receptionist was very helpful; I had to move my booking because of a cancelled flight - no problem with that (even though they charged more for the new date)
Stayed in Sherry Park as we only paid 65 Euro (parking included). At this rate good value for money. Very quiet at night. Nice pool. A bit far away from city center (15 minute walk). Insufficient parking space arriving late at night. At some moments not enough pool seats (though this is not a disaster with the pool as alternative).
it was quite near to the centre the beds were really bad,the hotel staff was not helpful at all, the room was smelling smoke.
very convenient with a car, free parking, everything workes out very smothly. Excellent breakfast, good location, also very nice with an indoor pool free of charge. The room we had was very stuffy, almost as it had to little air.
We liked the location very much, only 15 minutes from jerez centre. Our accomodation was reasonable standard, but we did suffer a little from traffic noise at night. We found the breakfast to be very good, plenty of choise, and very well run Our room was a reasonable standard, but the beds were as hard as park benches, so I would suggest 2 days max for a visit
Service first class I rang the hotel to ask to ask a few questions One was the price of the breakfasts. They told me 10 euros, the same as your conformation sheet. But they charged 14 euros each.
Hotel location close to town centre Free parking Free Wifi None
A very good hotel with excellent facilities for the summer months. Good breakfast and we enjoyed a meal in the hotel's restaurant, which we found good value for money The beds are hard and we really needed more pillows.
loved this hotel, so quiet, near the town center, loved the shower. pool didn,t open till 12 midday, i would of liked a morning swim. checkout sometimes had long queues. whoever fitted the wall mounted toilets fitted them to high, not comfortable for small adults to sit on. i hate putting down petty things but like this, but it might make this very nice hotel into a great hotel with a few little changes
Gymnasium, spa and pool Terrible service in bar.
Hotel tired not good value Reduce the price
The restaurant, the pool and the ease of parking
great room, excellent spa, excellent breakfast/ friendly staff.
Quiet location, ecellent facilities No
charming town - nice hotel - easy to see the Andalusian Riding School and sherry wineries.
The receptionist did maximum effort to give minimum service, when ever I approach to her she had this long face and answered sourly to my questions, not giving much information. The hotel is very basic. you expect a bit more from 5 stars hotel
the breakfast and the spa the bathroom could be a bit more luxery
Good location, even though a little out of the centre of town. This is an excellent hotel. The breakfast buffet and evening meals were wonderful. Restaurant staff very helpful and friendly.
The staff were extremely helpful and obliging, the swimming pool was wonderful in beautiful surroundings, the breakfast was so large it set you up for the day! If you didn't mind a short walk, near to the town. My wife and I felt the cost of dinner was very over priced. Food / service was good but the food was not particularly well-presented considering the price and that this was a five star hotel.. We experienced a similar meal in a Parador the next day for a similar price but the food was beautifully presented.
The closeness to Jerez Centre
Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was good located, nearby the center of Jerez (10 min walking) The parking of the hotel was very little, but you could left your car on the street (no parking fee)If you go to Jerez in the summer, then you will really miss a swimming pool!
Room spacious and clean, staff speaking English (wow!), close to town centre (10 minutes walking distance). Accessible by car. Car park is a challenging place. Make sure you have good brakes and you like to manouvre. It would be great if there was free WIFI in the hotel room.
I stayed at the NH Avenida Jerez for three nights in December 2009 and overall it was a pleasant experience. The rooms were nicely decorated and were very clean and comfortable. Most of the staff were helpful and pleasant despite the language barrier and the location is good if you are planning a sightseeing trip of the city or are visiting the Circuito de Jerez, which is a 15 minute taxi ride away costing approximately €14. Although the room I stayed in was pleasant, the noise from the main road that runs along the front of the hotel can be excessive at times. It can be quite difficult to find somewhere to eat in the evening, especially if you don't speak much Spanish. The breakfast was okay, however, I wouldn't recommend using the hotel restaurant for dinner, as the waiter is quite rude and gets very frustrated and impatient with guests, making your meal very uncomfortable. I thought the food was okay, although my friend wasn't too impressed with the meal she selected so the quality could vary.
good room air condition'ed breakfast was poor
Location, access and press It has the smallest garage in the world! And the room is small too.
Very close to city center. Confort. Low noise. Bad view from the window. Park a little bit expansive (12 euro\day)
the staff is very kind, the room was ok no safety box in the room, the wc flusher was broken, one of the phones in the room out of order
new modern design, view onto park, helpful reception
good location, helpful staff, good breakfast but not cheap
Spacious and nice room. Good facilities None.
The ambience, food, comfort, location, facilities and the staff were particularly friendly and helpful. No
Convenience of loc\tion to taxis/busses and old town We were recommended to a restaurant that wes terrible
Clean, high standard hotel, excellent value for money None
It had secure parking and it was centrally located. Buffet breakfast was great.
Good location, excellent room and bathroom facilities.
staff were helpfull Good location no
The hotel was impressive in every respect, but most noteworthy was the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff we encountered.
We chose Tryp Jerez hotel mainly for the excellent location. The hotel is pleasantly decorated throughout. The room was very clean and we enjoyed the Loreal sample products in the bathroom. I feel there could have been a porter on hand to help carry luggage to the room. The bar shut quite early in the evening, as many hotels have a residents bar open until at least midnight.
Good clean room with satisfactory breakfast We were the only people in the dining room for dinner and the menu advertised at reception was not available. We wished we had gone out for dinner.
Allow dogs Allow dogs, but charge extra. You cannot leave it alone in the room, which means you cannot eat in the restaurant. I missed a place to sit.It was no sofa, only one wooden chair for 2 persons.
value for money on drinks at the bar. breakfast hot buffet was poor.
The staff was friendly and spoke very good english. The breakfast was nice and was a mix of European and American style. The rooftop bar was not open and the bar downstairs was very cramp. Being the month of June the sun stays out until 10pm the rooftop should be open to enjoy the view of Jerez.
It was resonably priced. The parking situation was not ideal.
The overall quality of the hotel : the cleanliness/standard of accommodation/excellent breakfast/very helpful staff. The bedroom was very hot and it wasn't obvious how to regulate the temperature. Would be useful to have some simple operating instructions in each bedroom.
Bedrooms were excellent and concierge was most helpful.
Very friendly staff who were all helpful and keen to make our stay in Jerez enjoyable. Great location for the equestrian school.
This place was pretty much perfect - the staff were really lovely, and made us feel incredibly welcome. The pool was great, and the room beautiful, with everything you could possibly want for a relaxing stay. The town, which was a short walk away, was delightful.
Great facilities. Friendly helpful staff (especially the managers!) Fantastic gardens, cosy rooms. There was nothing about this hotel that we did not like.
It was just a pleasure to stay at the Villa Jerez. We all would have liked to stay longer.
Mature Gardens Friendly helpful staff Cleanliness Quality of Food Tranquility no
Ideally suited for a quite holiday.I was impressed with the staff, cleanliness of hotel , and the lovely pool that was kept at the right temperature. The lovely gardens and patio were perfect for relaxing. The choice of TV channels in bedrooms and the old fashioned TV set. I would also not recommend half board due to the lack of dinner choices.
Friendly helpful staff everywhere no, all great
A quiet haven in the heart of the city Internet connection via modem
A five star hotel like this on at the price . We had a lovely, large suite overlooking the pooll. The restaurant was disappointing
Lovely room over 2 floors with a massive bed. The spa is very good value although not particularly luxurious.
Room is good with high grade desighn. It location is convenient to access to central zone and stagiam. Because of narrow and one-way passing road to access the hotel more distinguishable name plate painted big letter would be much helpful for guests using car. In my case I spend lots of time to find the hotel.
Helpful staff, nice big comfortable room, convenient central location. The spa facilities looked tempting - we just wish they had opened earlier in the morning so we could have had time to try them out!
The room was well furnished & the Staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Old Jerez was just a 10 minute walk from the hotel although with it's many narrow streets we did get lost a couple of times returning to the hotel! Room service was prompt as well. Parking was good but felt should have been included in the price. The mattresses were a little soft for our liking but we still had a good nights sleep. We would have appreciated tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Helpful staff. Very comfortable suite provided. Good location.
nothing in particular it was near the centre of the town easy access to the Bodegas No
Location and interesting architecture.
Good location and clean rooms. Staff not helpful, they don't answer the phones. No wifi, even in reception it was not working and no option to have a coffee in the morning for people that don't want a full breakfast!
Efficiently run, clean, good choice of food for breakfast and cost very reasonable.
The hotel was very welcoming, the rooms and decor excellent and the bar and food service was very good
good location close to shops bars and restaurants very nice room air con was very effective outside 35 degrees inside room < 20 degrees no
Clean clear room & bathroom. Nice breakfast area. Good carpark. Available internet free. All staff helpful. On entering the city by car for first time no post signs showing location of hotel. When very near the hotel street address the hotel sign is not clear.
The general look of the place - spacious and elegant. The restaurant offred good value. In clined to be designer-conscious at the expense of untiity - e.g. bedside lamps looked good but were not efficient for reading in bed.
very central, spacious, helpful staff, very good price - instead of 1 night booked we stayed 5!
A beautiful hotel in an ideal location. A spacious foyer with interesting art work. The staff were excellent - they could not have provided a better service. The hotel has a luxurious quality but our room was reached by a back stair case where linen and spare beds were stacked and so this contrasted greatly with the feel of the rest of the hotel. This was disappointing. The room was also quite dark.
Although it was difficult to find, the location was fantastic and well worth the search.,The hotel and staff where absolutely excellent. The on-site parking was a godsend after the traffic nightmare that is Jerez!
Excellent central location, spacious room and bathroom. Good breakfast, clean rooms and reception area. Helpful staff. The shower could have been better - not powerful enough.
Everything was fantastic! The hotel had wonderful, attentive, caring staff. The decor was so beautiful and classy but very fun that I wish I could live there! Every detail was taken care of before we even arrived and not one member of the staff treated us inappropriately because we were not dressed nicely and we are young. I definitely will return to Hotel Palacio Garvey as soon as possible!
beautifully restored hotel with very modern features - ideally situated for shopping and bars and restaurants. Thoroughly recommended.
The room was excellent. The hotel overall was first class and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly
staff was extremely friendly and attentive.Despite it being peak season it was reasonably quiet. The rooms were very clean and the air-conditioning worked well. The beds were quite comfortable. The distance from Jerez centre does not make the location a good one. The furnishings can do with a re-vamp. I would not classify it as a 5 star hotel, but a 4star
The staff were very helpful and friendly The gym in the spa was outdated and most of the equipment couldn't be used.
The room was spacious and quiet. Even if the hotel is not in Jerez, it is well signposted and easy to find. THe outside swimming pool is big. The spa section is rather small, the jacuzzi is mini and there was a queue for it.
Breakfast was excellent No valet,or doorman, no concierge on duty, hotel facilities were very spread out.
The Reception and Housekeeing Staff were outstdanding. 1. This hotel is "faded". ( a staff members' term) All furnishings and bedding need to be replaced. 2. Major construction is ongoing directly across the road; that is the view from 1/2 of the rooms. 3. It does not have the facilities to handle breakfast when the hotel is fully booked; 4.no in-room high speed internet service 5. In terms of overall quality,no more than 3 stars. Compared to our stay there seven years ago, it has gone downhill!
The staff in the hotel but not at the caddy master`s shop who were totally chaotic and incompetent . The standard room offered as part of 3days package was in urgent need of renovation -specially the bathroom . Bearing in mind that this is a xxxxx hotel.
We used this as an overnight stopover on our way south and found the hotel very easily from the motorway. The rooms were very comfortable with beautiful views over the golf course. The food was excellent, particularly the fixed price dinner.
We enjoyed our brief visit, the staff were very welcoming and the hotel was good value for food and golf I thought the golf course was of excellent design (Jack Nicklaus) but it could have been is slightly better condition
very nice vew and the beds were so confortable not realy a 5 star hotel..it was hard to finde the indoor sweemingpool
good price and good quality too far from Jerez villa 200 yards from hotel !
Good clean modern accommodation and bathroom. Edge of town location. Buffet breakfast very high price. WiFi only in reception.
Minibar was free! hard to find in Jerez, it is a mess trying to drive and find directions
Uber-chic room but......... .....the frosted glass door to the bathroom attenuates virtually no sound. Kinky!
Very modern hotel with nice facilities. The AC in the room did not work and it was very hot and difficult to sleep.
Fantastic views on the pitch of Xerez Football Club, very comfortable, friendly and helpful staff It's a bit out of the centre, but worth the detour
Great to see into the Stadium. That's a different kind of hotel stay. Very good breakfast (compared to what you get in a smaller hotel), Spanish. 24h reception and not far away from the airport. Staff not very fluent in foreign languages; sometimes hard to communicate with. Location not ideal if you do not have a car. The taxi ride to the city center was just 5€, though.
Friendly welcome. A comfortable bed. Parking in the hotel, although at a cost. Good information in room. Helpful staff. Good breakfast facilities.
Limited food choice on Saturday evening.
nice garden and outdoor pool. in walking distance to city centre (15-20 min walk). Breakfast is very good (for spnish breakfast), coffee is freshly brewed by the cup from real coffe beans (no instant-coffee!). Scrambled eggs were cooked with olive oil, but tated very good. rooms are small, and those facing to the inside yard of the hotel have no nice views at all. Outfacing rooms (towards the garden) are better.
the room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. staff at main desk very helpful bar resturant was not very welcoming
Fine hotel with very good swimming pool.
Friendly Staff, Excellent Pool area
Facilities and cleanliness Food was not brilliant
Good room, great breakfast, free parking about 20 minutes walk from the centre so may be a problem foe older guests who want to visit the city, But an easy walk in, on the flat.
The beds! They were the most comfortable we've slept during our (extensive) European holiday. Apart from a bit of a glitch the first night, the internet worked well in our room. We had none of the noise issues other reviewers experienced, but then the pool was round the other side of the hotel fromo our room. The room was very smart & comfortable. The beds! They were too comfortable - we couldn't get out of them! (Only joking). Tv channels have heavy Teutonic bias!!! There were 11 or so German channels and only 2 in English - both news based. a bit more entertainment in English would be good. The hotel is a bit of a hike out of the main town. We walked it in about 20 mins. a bit too far from the town to sneak back for a siesta after lunch.
breakfast. small rooms.
Bit tired but wonderful pool and outside facilities. The it manager was superb. The room service crew were trying very hard but not client focused. Overall we would go back but would check out other options first. Room service was a bit erratic and kept trying to get us to take the buffet and even denied us more room service breakfast cards! It was a real fight to get them to give us a card so we could order in the room. And then they lost it! And braekfast did not arrive. Phew! Spoiled it a bit!
Comfortable, roomy. Faded glory: The place has seen better days although it is still adequate and worth the price.
A pleasant, friendly, clean hotel. In a good location. Breakfast was not on the roof terrace & the jacuzzi also on the roof was not open. This was what initially drew me to the hotel, so was a little disappointing. Noise in the hotel corridors & stairs seemed to echo around all the rooms.
Freindly helpful staff. Good location. Near restaurants. In the old centre. There were no windows in the bedroom.
Would class it as a two star. Roof terrace out of use.
The room was great, the building interesting and the position close to all the old parts of town was great. The jacuzzi on the roof terrace overlooking the cathedral was a real treat. Not enough loo roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The relaxed atmosphere, wonderful building, very helpful, polite staff -welcoming and it was a treat to hae someone able to speak our language. We took our dog who loved it and was made very welcome! Breakfast was very good value and we loved the jacuzzi on he roof!
quiet yet central location
the room was without window
Location Dirty - Cold - No restaurant facilities
Attractive building, nicely decorated, very friendly helpful staff Room smelled of damp and slightly of drains
Charming ambience to the hotel. Good breakfast. Neither of our bedside lights worked. We reported this twice but nothing was done. The ill conceived layout of the room with a feature bath along one wall, meant the TV was alongside the bed and you had to crane your neck to view.
friendly, fair price, good location
Very close to city hub. Good access to everything. Key operated room safe had no key. Lost. Had to move to second room. A little hard to find.
Very good situation in downtonwn Jerez with parking inclued.
The hotekl faces onto a street that in the early morning is very very very noisy - it is impossible to sleep through the noise. I would not recommend it to people who are looking for a relaxing holiday!
the room and in fact whole hotel, was beautifully furnished. Helpful, friendly staff. A very comfortable place to stay for a few days a bit of noise from the lane at the back---rooms at the front would be a better bet
Everything, highly recommended, fantastic location and great reception help, good breakfast also, not to mention the tapas at El Gallo Azul just a few blocks away...
Very good breakfast. Good central location. You have to run off about half a bath-full of cold water before it runs hot - despite polite (and very correct) notice in bathroom asking guests to conserve water! Our room seemed about a mile away from reception, or either staircase or lift. Particularly irritating when arriving and departing as even using the lift, we still had to negotiate several stairs with heavy suitcases.
The hotel is conveniently located, close to the historic and commercial centre of Jerez, in a quiet location. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke English. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and we were very pleased with the quality and variety of breakfast choices.
Very clean, very helpful staff, spacious quiet room. Excellent location. Pleasant breakfast room and plentiful breakfast All TV channels in Spanish--at least one in English, German, French would be heplful. Add boiled eggs to breakfast?
A nicely appointed hotel just off the beaten track but very close to Jerez Airport. Adjoining is a very nice restaurant. No
Vey nice, quite countryside place, very good dinner
Hotel was spotless. Staff efficient. Friendly staff in Cafe. Away from center of Jerez (which was what we wanted, do not go here if you need Jerez as roads can be very confusing and you could end up travelling 27km before being able to turn around!) Directly opposite the Jerez race circuit, go to front and ask to look around, the Spanish are very obliging. Bonus is you can park free at hotel, hotels in Jerez charge for parking. Jerez itself if a wonderful place to visit (but you WILL need a car to travel there from this hotel), make sure you see the old town though with its little plaza's as the newer part is more modern. Take a trip around a bodega, Tio pepe is recommended, great fun! Booking.com booked a twin room with the hotel when we actually booked a double, so double check what you are getting before you go! Dissappointing for us, but like i say it was booking, com's fault. No tea and coffee making facilities in room, not good enough if you arrive late as the hotel cafe and restaurant will be closed. Don't go if you think you can walk into Jerez as you can't unless you are really fit!
A lovely hotel very close to the circuit
Convenient for exploring Jerez/Cadiz but must have a car. Staff were very helpful. No facilities nearby
Very helpfull, friendly staff. A relaxing place to stay. Charging for Wifi/Wireless. If you do not have a car, no transport, taxis a rip off (30 Eueros for a ten minute trip). The website states "on the outskirts of Jerez", this is slightly misleading. The hotel is pretty remote, it is impossible to even take a short walk after a meal.
Nice, friendly staff, very clean and tidy rooms and hotel. a bit far from things and a little difficult to find at night
Beatiful modern hotel with clean nice rooms in tranquil rural settings. Free parking just outside the hotel. Friendly and professional staff.
The Hotel is very convenient for Jerez and Cadiz. The pool is excellent. The staff are excellent. We thoroughly recommend it.
The accessiblity to the grand prix circuit mainly, but generally a good location close to the city
We were recommended this hotel when the hotel reserved in Jerez cancelled our booking. It is perfectly placed for the Jerez motor racing circuit; is superbly equipped; and has fantastic food. The staff cannot be more helpful and the service was always quick and efficient. A wonderful and relaxing stay with good value for money. There is nothing I did not like or believe needed to be changed
Superb location, easy access, welcoming staff, fantastic breakfasts, high quality rooms, only downside was no free wifi available in rooms.
Ideal location. Friendly staff. Small personal hotel with a useful roof top area for sitting in the sun. Not the easiest to find.
Excellent situation. Monica the hostess manager made the stay outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and she went to a great deal of concern about restaurants and sightseeing to make sure her recommendations matched our needs. Beautiful hotel with character. Excellent breakfast.
Our Junior Suite was lovely, the hotel is immaculate. We received terrific personal service from Monika in booking the equestrial show and the bodega tour. She also gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was quite good.
Outstanding service from a highly attentive staff.
Very helpful staff
Greta staff, location and rooms.
The owner is very nice and looks after all details; Bottle of water in room with welcoming note. Very good situation near the Station. It is a lovely, beautifully restored old house with a central patio and well decorated. The very uncomfortable plastic cover over the mattress. In the afternoon there was no hot water.
Monica gave us a warm welcome after a long trip from USA and was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a very good central location. Breakfast which was included was excellent and very hearty including eggs and bacon.
staff friendly and knowledgeable and helpful, room clean and bathroom good. Location was good. Overall experience was very nice.
Well, the price was right, and they had last-minute availability. The staff was friendly and helpful. The air conditioner barely worked. They claimed to be a 20 minute walk downtown, which was sort of true, but it was 20 minutes to the outskirts of town through a fairly seedy area.
