With a stay at The Tavern Hotel in Cottonwood, you'll be in the historical district, within a 10-minute drive of Verde Canyon Railroad and Historic Old Town Cottonwood. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff was great and very accommodating from front desk, room service, contract workers painting and fixing things. Bed and pillows the best. Nice large room The associated restaurants, Crema, Ric’s, Bocce, are great. Super wait staff, diverse menus, reasonable prices. All Worth eating at. Did not try The Tavern but it always had a good crowd. And if you’re into wine tasting you just need to walk out the door
Cons: Lights a little dim, Sink a little high for short folk, No small table and chairs to sit and read, and room definitely can accommodate them. Window curtains do not close, blinds don’t darken enough for this room A Higher grade toilet paper would be nice too.
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and were able to provide us with answers to all of our questions about the Cottonwood area. Our room was very welcoming and comfortable.
Cons: Our initial view from the balcony was that of the alley and parking lot between the hotel and the restaurant however we were able to see beautiful views over the roof. Also, if you’re a people watcher, seeing the coming and going of various people in the parking lot can be entertaining.
Pros: Very nice place in Cottonwood, several good restaurants nearby. Friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast was not included as they stated, but you get a 5 dollar coupong to use at a nearby cafe.
Pros: The location was wonderful.
Cons: High beds are inconvenient for older people.
Pros: Love slipping up there to stay a few times a year. Close to Phoenix, easy access, room comfort is great.
Cons: Had ants in our room, we only stayed one night and it was only in one area in the room. I informed the staff. They were apologetic. I would go back in spite of that.
Pros: Friendly service. Beautiful rooms and property. Location of property on Main street. Quiet rooms. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. We're are amazed at how nice this place is!
Pros: I love the newer rooms. We stayed in those before. They are bright and I love the decor. The staff is great! Love the free waters. Love the discount at the restaurant.
Cons: This time we stayed in the older rooms. I wouldn't stay in them again. They are very dark. The paint is dark, there isn't any ceiling light. the bathroom is too dark to be able to see to apply makeup. I had to take the makeup mirror out to the desk and next to a lamp and window to be able to see.
Pros: The hotel gives you a $5 pp credit at the Cafe across the street. Delicious. The menu was huge and the servers extremely friendly. Only thing that could have been better was the coffee. We prefer it stronger. My favorite thing at the hotel itself was our mattress. We had a deluxe king room; it was like sleeping on a cloud, really.
Pros: We have been eating at the Tavern Grille for years and love it. We finally got a chance to to stay at the hotel and it was fantastic! The rooms are beautiful and very clean. Wine tasting within walking distance is a plus. Will definitely be back.
Pros: Everything was too like. We had a lovely stay.
With a stay at The Arizona Lighthouse LLC in Clarkdale, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Verde Canyon Railroad and Pine Shadows Golf Course. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The view of course
Cons: That we couldn’t stay longer
Pros: Amazing view. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner/keeper. Clean and well stocked with amenities.
Pros: The View
Pros: Everything was excellent with on top of the world fantastic views, super comfort and cleanliness with everything possible thought of and provided by the lovely Jerry & Nancy.
Pros: Staff. Location. Views rooms were the best will go back again
Pros: The views are amazing! Wish we had known to bring food to cook on the grill provided so we could have stayed at the property for dinner.
Cons: The property is hard to find (Google maps doesn't do it) and to get there you must go up a very steep narrow unpaved road. Luckily we were driving an SUV. It would be possible but difficult to navigate in a sedan. Especially hard to deal with in the dark.
Pros: Location and view so special, We went for my grand daughter's senior graduation from MUHS, her mother and my grand son, brother of the graduate and his wife came up from VV to hang out (he was home on leave and was contacted by his Captain that he will be deployed again upon his return, he came to see his sister graduate) this being said made the lighthouse even more special for all of us. Our Great Grand son 4 yrs old accompanied us from NM (Mother and extended family envolved in softball tourney) we were together in God's Country for another blessed memory and Lighthouse B&B was a special place to do that. Owners manager's #Thank you!
Cons: because location is secluded and for good reason we had to give a specified amount of time to get to celebrations. Actually all went well with travel to and from events over three day period.
Pros: Excellent views of the Verde Valley
Pros: Excellent convenience with grill, full kitchen with drinks and snacks in refrigerator including milk and eggs, clean as a whistle, everything for comfort, outside yard chairs, table as you look at Sedona in a distance. TV with many channels and several dvds to watch. Small wall electrical fireplace. Extra blankets, cushions, games to play. They thought of everything. I would spend a week here if there was a weekly rate
Cons: There was difficulty finding it with Gps. There was no sign at the entrance to the street that lets you know you should go to the end of the road and up to the top of the mountain. Other than that it was AMAZING!
There are many reasons to visit Arizona that folks know about – for example, the Grand Canyon or the art in Sedona. There are more reasons that people don’t quite know about when it comes to visiting Arizona. Did you know, for example, that Arizona has a Wine Country? Well, if you decide that you’d like to visit the city of Cottonwood, you will find that there is so much more to Arizona than just the famous landmarks. When you do visit Cottonwood, the smart money is on staying at the Iron Horse Inn. The Iron Horse Inn is a beautifully decorated hotel that evokes some of the old west history of Arizona in a modern, comfortable setting. There are several things to enjoy about it, one of them is its location, making it accessible to the vineyards along with the different places to hike. There are plenty of amenities in the hotel as well. The business center offers support for folks who need to get work done. When it comes to dining, there are plenty of excellent places to eat in and around Cottonwood. The city is a tourist destination, so in turn there are a bunch of restaurants around that will please even the most fickle of palettes. While the hotel does not have an in-house dining option, there are plenty of places within a short, five-minute drive from the hotel. The concierge will have all the recommendations you need depending on your preference of a meal. Staying at the Iron Horse Inn is a great way to enjoy the Arizona not as many people see.
Pros: Rooms are small but very cute and clean. Front desk lady was very nice and helpful.
Cons: A/C in the room was either freezing cold or super hot hard to find even temperature.
Pros: The room was clean and greatly furnished. Nice place will come back.
Pros: Loved the courtyard in the middle, and the Starbucks coffee
Cons: No view, very small room for two beds
Pros: Quaint, quiet, clean, and friendly. Nice location in Old Town Cottonwood. Easy stroll to great restaurants, bars, and shops.
Pros: Staff was phenomenal. They even called me in the morning after checkout to tell me that I left a phone charger in the room. Cute little Inn with great personality.
Pros: The room was clean and up dated modern and spacious the soap smelled so good I really liked it the coffee room was clean accommodating
Cons: On the bathroom wall we’re to many black spots but noting that a good clean up will remove
Pros: The bed was incredibly comfortable and the staff was very friendly!
Pros: We didn't like the experience at the Iron Horse Inn......we LOVED it! Absolutely wonderful in all ways!
Cons: The only thing we would improve was eliminating the loud music from the restaurant next door (Poquito Loco). This occurred on the second night of our stay. When the rumbling bass beats continued after 11pm …….. we walked next door and discovered less than 5 people in the restaurant. This was NOT the problem of Iron Horse Inn. This was due to the DJ at the restaurant continually turning the bass and music up in volume.
Pros: Good location within walking distance of nice restaurants. Friendly staff at check in and check out.
Cons: Room was very small by stairs to upper floor; stairs cut into the room making it even smaller. No individual light over the sink; had to use the room overhead lights to see at sink. Bath and room had been updated so very clean and nicely decorated. Interior courtyard had nice furniture to relax on; best place to get good wifi connection not possible in our room. Overall fairly quiet despite the room air conditioners running. Nice amenities in the guest coffee room: free Starbucks machine coffee plus fruit and ice machine.
Cons: The rooms are really, really small but it was just for 1 night.
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room was private and quiet, we never heard neighbors until the morning when kids started to get up to play. We were appreciative for the extended 30 min. To check out when we were waiting for breakfast.
Cons: All minor remarks: we would have appreciated more space in the bathroom and a counter to put stuff on. The blow dryer overheated within the first minute of use and there was only sweet and low for sweetener in the coffee room.
Pros: Shower head. Glass stained bath door. The extremely comfortable bed and softness of bedding. Starbucks was a nice extra touch. Wood flooring... the courtyard was quaint, unique we loved the stay..
Cons: Shelving over microwave.

Cons: The toilet overflowed on the first morning there and there was no one in the office till 8 a.m.
Pros: The bed and pillows were excellent. Room was exceptionally clean. Use of space was well thought out with shelves next to sink to put cosmetics and toiletries. Bathtub was sparkly clean and great size for a warm soak.
Pros: What breakfast?
Cons: A disturbance in the parking lot late at night as a fire emergency vehicle and police car arrived to aid an individual staying in one of the rooms...??
Pros: the management was so accommodating it was my daughter prom and she prepared and dressed in comfort and we took great pics of her getting ready and finished dressing just what she wanted for her senior year prom. Mom and daughter moments. thanks so much to management and owners.
Cons: there was nothing that interfered or disturbed our moments of Prom prep especially great after she came back from PROM AND celebration, we talked away the night about her fun times dinner in Sedona and dance of course. Special

Cons: Nothing really. It served its purpose well.
Pros: The staff was helpful and understanding when I misplaced a key. The room was very clean. I do like the fact that they had a very large room for a family. There are some antique and souvenir shops right across the street.
Cons: The air conditioning unit in the large room is not really sufficient for the room. The shower was a little small. No key cards, just keys.

Pros: Had some trouble w/ key cards. We arrived @10:30PM. Debra stayed & got key cards to work.
Cons: Lobby was out of razors. Had to go to convenience store to get razor.
Pros: Location and lady at the front desk
Cons: Booked a 2 bedroom option. Second smaller bedroom did not have an air conditioning unit. So if you close the door you can’t get cool air. Moreover the single unit while sufficient for a single room couldn’t cool the second room even with the connecting door open.
Pros: Location, cleanliness and great customer service
Cons: It would be wonderful if they had a continental breakfast
Pros: Newly remodeled, spacious rooms with nice furniture and bedding. Perfect location for visiting both Sedona and Jerome.
Cons: lawn care machines at 6 am...loud contactors talking outside at 6 am...
Pros: Next to stores and restaurants
Cons: Basic hotel
Pros: did not know there was a breakfast - wish I knew this because we love coffee and there was not enough in the room- we are coffee drinkers all day and into the night
Cons: There was two year old in the room.above us and that child did not stop moving . We were woken up at 5;30 am on Sunday and that was not appreciated. Monday the. Chid started at 6:30 am.
Pros: I've stayed at several hotels in the area. This is the best for the price. Very clean, updated room. I plan to stay here the next time I come to the Sedona area.
Pros: The staff was very nice, let me check in very late and the room was very clean.
Cons: It was a little expensive for type of room and stay.
Pros: Economical, clean, quiet. close to everything. We were in the area to purchase a home and needed an economical place to stay! This worked well for that purpose. Staff was great!
Pros: The beds were fine, the sheets were crisp and clean. The pillows were firm.

Pros: The only thing about this hotel that was okay was one of the staff members, i do not recall her name but she was nice.
Cons: The hotel was dirty, loud, & just over all a not safe environment. You didnt want to go out side alone & there was smoke and other drugs definitely going around us the entire time. I wont be staying there again. It doesnt live up to the Best Western name.
Pros: Shawndee at front desk was the epitome of outstanding customer service ! Also an unusual feature of this hotel is the quality of the towels!
Cons: Need bananas at breakfast
Pros: Very courteous staff
Pros: Great location We arrived early and front desk staff found us a room! Very clean and comfortable and includes a hot breakfast
Cons: More fresh fruit would be nice besides oranges
Cons: Could not cancel for family tragedy. Ot took 2 hours on the phone and threat of bad publicity or law suite.
Pros: Breakfast was great. The pool area was great.
Cons: When I checked in, another guest was at the desk because her key card wasn’t working. I also experienced that frustration throughout my stay. My card didn’t work for my room or the pool gate.
Pros: The ease in the check in/out. The parking area the ease getting in and out. The breakfast and the person or staff doing the breakfast.
Pros: Clean room, comfortable beds & very quiet!
Pros: Desk staff were friendly, professional cheery. Breakfast was great, and the entire place was very clean and maintained very well for older motel.
Cons: Just don't go to front desk after you have their great breakfast! I checked to see if anything further was needed from me, said we'd be checking out in an hour to hour and a half. Within 15 min there was a maintenance guy knocking/trying to enter the room with us two women trying to shower and get dressed!! That was bad enough, but about 1/2 hr later, he was again knocking at the door!!! Very annoying as we were no where near checkout time, and our vehicle was parked in front of the room with license plate fully visible!! LEAVE YOUR GUESTS ALONE UNTIL CHECKOUT TIME!!
Pros: Convenient to our activities.
Cons: All was fine.
Pros: Pillows were not as soft as we like but there definitely enough of them!
Cons: I motel is old & definitely needs some up dating. The bathroom is extremely small Never have we experienced such rough Kleenex! For what we paid we didn’t think we got the value.
Pros: Clean and appeared to be updated. Beds were good. plenty of handy electric outlets to plug in our stuff.
Cons: Door wasn't sealed very tightly (could see daylight through it) A/C ran continuously. You had to lift the latch up (rather than push it down) to open the door.
With a stay at Desert Rose Bed and Breakfast in Cottonwood, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Verde Canyon Railroad and Verde Santa Fe Golf Club. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We stayed here for 3 nights. The house was charming. Very well decorated. Our room was comfortable, clean, private, country decorated reflecting the location in Cottonwood, AZ. The breakfast was substantial with an emphasis on locally made produce. The inn-keeper, FIONA, was a delight to engage in conversation. She was informative, accomodating and truly happy to be of service to travellers. If other B & Bs are like this one I will be be looking for them as an alternative to hotels when travelling in the future.
Cons: Can't think of a thing I didn't like.

Pros: The location was great. We were right next to the pool. The AC was surprisingly cool.
Cons: The cabin was good for 2 maybe 3 people not our party of 4. Beds were very uncomfortable. We actually left a day early because we were unable to get any sleep.
Pros: The man at the gate/ check in was extremely friendly when we arrived. The cabin was very clean and included everything you would need to cook and eat.
Cons: The girl at the gate when we left was not very pleasant. Also, the waterlines froze, so we had no water. When we finally reached someone at 8:30 am they informed us that it was the first freeze of the year and "it happens sometimes and there is nothing they can do about it". It would be helpful to include that info or provide it at the time of booking. Not showering wasn't too pleasant since we had all day to explore Sedona before being able to check into our next hotel.
Pros: Like the place over all will go again
Cons: the bed and couch were so uncomfortable. it could be that it is just this cabin needs couch and bed upgrade
Pros: The view was great and it was quiet Had a mishaps with the toilet backing up however, the management did an incredible job making it right.

Cons: Bedroom was very small.

Cons: I believe the septic tank may have made the cabin smell from time to time.
Pros: We stayed in a rental cabin. We’ve been here several times and always had a fantastic experience
Cons: At the time we stayed the pool area was down for repairs and we weren’t notified until 2 days before our arrival. Excited to visit next year. Pool and hot tub area is normally fantastic

Pros: Quiet; pretty south view, nice amenities. Very comfortable bed! Great value for the money!
Pros: We stayed in a well-equipped, extremely clean cabin. It was late when we are and the member of staff who met us was very welcoming. This was typical of all the staff we met. They were all courteous and warm people and were kind and generous to our three sons. The facilities were perfect for our needs and our children particularly liked the pool.
Cons: Nothing, it was all good.

Pros: Cabin was not as depicted in pictures supplied in website. Bed room was so small that we could not enter the bed from the sides. No side night stands for my c-pap machine ( sleep apnea) . The pictures on the website shows a open floor plan with plenty of room and night stands at both sides of the bed. The property itself was very nice with pool, rec hall, hiking trails, friendly staff.
Pros: The bed could've been better. It was a tight fit for 4 adults at 400sqr. ft, but with enough Bourbon we managed! Property was nice and quiet even with a bunch of Bikers there!
Cons: Water pressure was a bit low, but typical for a motorhome.
Pros: Beautiful property, very clean, very comfortable bed and very nice people. Lots to do on the property for families.
Cons: The cabin is tiny and the sitting furniture is uncomfortable.
Cons: Toilet and shower substandard. Couch can not be sat on because the back rolls out. Basically very, very small!
Pros: the location
Cons: every thing was very nice
Cons: Gas Grill was out of gas, and then when we requested gas it did not work. We had to use the neighbors grill.

Cons: Rundown Rooms are dirty stink, dated, nothing works
Pros: Manager was the best. We experienced a problem twice, and she resolved it both times. She wanted us to be happy. Our first room was supposed to be non-smoking, but there was a definite odor. She then sent us to another room, but there was a problem with the air conditioning. We finally got a room to our satisfaction.
Cons: There was a lack of accessible outlets for plugging in phones, c-paps and iPads. There was not much of a sound barrier in the room above. They had kids, and it sounded like a bowling alley. The continental breakfast wasn’t that great. Coffee, OJ, cereal, toast, yogurt, bananas. There was a waffle maker, but not enough batter.
Pros: location great,
Cons: not anything
Cons: Found an old shirt on floor between bed and dresser!!! Bathroom was horrible and old. room stunk. Really needing renovations badly!! Gives Super 8 a bad name for sure!
Pros: Location is good!
Cons: Tiny pool, seriously filled with rowdy children. Electricity was inadequate, cut off occasionally. Everything in the room was shabby.
Pros: Getting away from home. The girl at the desk was nice and professional.
Cons: The pillows on the bed were terrible. It took two pillows to make one and were probably 20 years old. Lots of kids at the pool all day and they were uncontrollable.. I know you can't do anything about, just saying!
Cons: Room was noisy and dirty-fridge iced and very dirty, curtains unhinged- unable to close. AC in our 2nd room did not cool....coffee watered down - we skipped breakfast, no value
Cons: Maintenance was lacking. We did not feel like the rooms were as clean as we were expecting.
Pros: Just the bed
Cons: Staff was not very helpful. Probably wouldn't recommend.
Pros: The bed was good
Cons: Parts of the ceiling falling off, bathroom door cracked in half, squeaky floor and air conditioner did not work properly
Pros: Everything was fine for this class of motel.
