10.0 Excellent
Pros: Heaven on earth! Thank you we had the best time Best stuff ever, and best food we had in Columbia
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, location. It's just a great place to stay with beach right in front of the hotel. But the best was the adjacent Los Angeles Beach just 5 minutes from the hotel. Nearly empty and really beautiful. Don't miss it! The staff was great and helpful: what you would expect from such a hotel. Also the selection of food, the quality and the quantity were great.
Cons: The rooms are a bit too empty. They are spacious which is great, but having an additional chair, a small table and maybe a carpet would make them much more comfortable. This could be an addition for the future.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is impeccable. Absolutely serene. Probably one of the coolest, most relaxing places I've ever had the pleasure of staying. The staff were friendly and responded to all of our needs in a timely manner. Lastly, the food was INSANELY good. Highly recommend Chef Camillo's degustation menu. What an experience.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: restaurant staff is fantastic Food is good, the view/spot is fantastic The vibe of the place is excellent
Cons: Our room had water leak issue, it did not get resolved during our stay. If this was at hilton or marriott, i would have been compensated. paying for best room at the hotel, i should not have this issue. If you are a light sleeper, the villa room is not for you. Waves can be noisy but we were warned before
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything. it's a wonderful place. friendly staff, exceptional view...
Cons: wifi. it didn't reach our room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff here, especially Andreas, were fantastic. They were very attentive and nothing was too much hassle. Food was very tasty, there was free water top ups from the kitchen. The location and room was amazing.
Cons: Would have preferred a wall around the shower as I was traveling with a friend. Could see into the shower from some parts of the bed room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice pool, fantastic view. We spottet caimans in river. Delicious but pricey food.
Cons: The beach was not suitable for swimming during our stay due to strong current.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is amazing and the employees were super friendly. And congratulations to the chef!
Cons: Everything was perfect!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well beyond our expectations: beautiful and comfortable facilities, unbelievably good food, excellent coffee, very nice staff, all this located far from the city, by what’s probably the most beautiful beach in Colombia.

Pros: The hotel is as beautiful as in the pictures. The staff is super friendly and the food delicious and very reasonably priced. The rooms feel like a dream and there are plenty of friendly pet animals of the staff around to love and enjoy. One tip: it’s the jungle, so better bring a mosquito net for the king size bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were large and reminded me of a luxury hotel. The staff and owners were so friendly, as we're all of their pets (they made our stay) Location was close to park entrance (15 minute walk) Finally the breakfast was super tasty
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well-located hotel within walking distance to the entrance of the Tayrona National Park (15 min). The hotel offers free shuttle service to the entrance in the morning. We highly appreciated the Colombian hospitality :-) We stayed in the room IRAKA with two awesome hammocks overlooking the forest. Awesome food with a great value of money (both breakfast & dinner). Various animals (parrot, rabbits, dogs) are lovely! Highly recommend to stay here while visiting the Tayrona National Park!
Cons: Minor improvement points could be to provide free drinking water (to reduce amount of water plastic bottles) and coffee/tea self service for breakfast.
6.3 Good
Pros: The manager was so nice, the place so quiet and there were so many nice animals. The food prepare in the hotel was amazing and all the staff so friendly
Cons: The water in the whole bathroom was almost not existing, so taking a shower was really difficult, and using the wc even worse
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Jungle vibes and nice atmosphere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere of the hotel is very nice, green and chill. There are plenty of nice animals around and the personnel is helpful and kind. Plenty of place to chill and enjoy a beer or a cocktail
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. We had an exellent room, huge bed with a great balcony. Free ride to the entrance of the park which took like 5min. Motortaxi back 3000cop. Food very nice. Would recommend a stay here for sure if you go for a one day trek in the park. Didn"t go in the pool so can't say but it seemed ok to refrech after hinking in the park.
Cons: Nothing really. You can hear the traffic on the road but earplugs do the job.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, friendly and very helpful staff. Nice swimming pool and good food. Big and comfy bed. Nice balcony.
Cons: We stayed 2 nights in different rooms. The 1st one was perfect. In the 2nd one the water was boiling hot in the shower.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location for those visiting the Tayrona national park and surrounding area. Very helpful and welcoming staff (mostly only Spanish) in a beautiful setting. The food is traditional and some of the best we had during our stay in Colombia. The array of pets including a parrot, a monkey and a rabbit were a particularly entertaining feature at breakfast. Rico was also very helpful in organising our other trips and our trip back to the airport.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were lovely and extremely helpful especially with food intolerances and helping with guiding us with places to go. Wish we’d stayed longer!
Casa hostal Antawara - La Esmeralda (Magdalena) - Pool

9.4 Excellent (337 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Casa Hostal Antawara in Santa Marta, you'll be a 2-minute drive from Tayrona National Natural Park and 6 minutes from Pueblito. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice, small hotel located close to Parque Tayrona. The rooms have a little terrace with a hammock and all overlook the central area with the swimming pool. Our 6-year old daughter enjoyed the pool a lot. It consists of 2 parts, one not so deep part wit the waterfall and a deeper part. The pools were not that large, but fine to cool down. Also if you walk a little further down the road there is a larger pool where you can also eat. We also went to the river (about 0,5 km to the left when leaving the hotel). There you can swim as well and there are also two slides. Nearby there are some options for lunch and dinner. In the morning you can take the bus to Parque Tayrona and we could leave our large backpacks at Antawara as we were staying one night in Tayrona. After the second night in Antawara we could easily take the bus opposite the hotel to Santa Marta.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, very friendly staff. Nice pool and very clean rooms with comfortable beds. It is the perfect place to stay before heading to Tayrona. We could even leave our big bags at the hostel and pick it up afterwards.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed everything about Casa Antawara! It’s very close to the park, the property is gorgeous with a small pool perfect to cool down and relax. Our room was huge with AC, the breakfast was very good made fresh to order. The staff was very warm and helpful. We stayed two nights which was perfect.
Cons: It’s a little tricky to find food options but not impossible. There is a pizza place next door we went to and then went to the restaurant across the street.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The pool, the friendliness of the staff, the great size of the room I stayed in, the comfort of the beds, the good breakfast, the location.
Cons: The wifi connection could be a little better but I guess it might be a problem in the area and the bed sheets a little longer as well
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Personel was really friendly, warm welcome with explanation of the surroundings. Breakfast was ok. Good location to visit Tayrona, a point of improvement: they don't offer shuttles to the entrance of tayrona as some of the hostals around do.
Cons: Cold water everywhere so no hot shower No blankets on the bed so rather cold at night Most of the time no one in the hostel available so no possibilities to ask somthing to staff if needed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small & personal with friendly staff with a nice little plunge pool
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed there with our kids, 5 and 7 years old, and we enjoyed the place very much. They helped us with the organization of the tour in Tayrona, taxi to the airport, luggage storage... We had a family room which was pretty big and with a nice terrace. Breakfast was good too. It's a 5 min bus ride to the Zaino entrance. They don't offer lunch or dinner but there's places to eat right next to it.
Cons: Everything was great, no complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a perfect stay at Casa Antawara, very close to the entrance of the Tayrona park. The staff is super nice and helpful, the rooms are nice and the breakfast is amazing. We loved our stay here!
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. The hostel was in nature bud with all the comfort we can get. Around the place some options for local food. Very nice pool.
Cons: The should provide dinner options in the place. Even that you can find places nearby, you need to go outside to eat dinner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful place! Helpful staff and tasty breakfast. I would stay again! :)
Posada la Ofelia - La Esmeralda (Magdalena) - Beach
5
9.6 Excellent (86 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: La Ofelia is located in a fantastic setting allowing the traveller to have a true jungle experience. The area is beautiful with animals, flowers and fauna. It is really close to Tayrona but you really do get the jungle experience at La Ofelia. Amazing. Not only the place but in Javier you have one of the few remaining people this world needs. He truly went out of his way to help us with every detail and showed us more than any guide books. Thank you Javier your the best Ps the food is the best you will eat too. In 5 weeks in Colombia it was the best. Muchas gracias Fláviola xxx
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Incredible hospitality from Javier, the owner. Amazing views, excellent food and a generally lovely time had.
Cons: The walk up is a little taxing with your backpack but entirely worth it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is a 10-15 min walk from the street and totally surrounded by nature. The hosts are very friendly and the food is really nice! If you want to forget about everything and just enjoy life and nature, this is the perfect place to do so! I would definitely come back anytime!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is wonderful! Away from the highway you don’t hear the traffic. Surrounded by jungle and farm. Fell asleep To amazing sounds of frogs and crickets. Woke to bird songs. Peaceful! Small, quaint, fabulous owners who love what they do. The breakfasts are wonderful and you can have dinner for extra. Dinners were also excellent! Really enjoyed my 4 day experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food, the family, location, spirit, easy going and friendly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The generosity and companionship of the staff, the love and care they took of the guests, the location, the food
Cons: Instructions on how to get to the location. Google maps is a bit off; one has to walk for 15-20 min up a mountain and cross a stream by foot or by a bridge to get there. It definitely adds to the romance!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful stay. You're made to feel very welcome from the moment you arrive. Glorious setting, admittedly a little bit of a trek to get there. Excellent food in abundance. Thoroughly recommend.
Cons: Nothing to not like.

Cons: Bad WiFi, rooms without AC are hot during the night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, including all the perfect facilities including swimming pool, our stay house and eating facility with amazing view and close at the entrance of Tayrona park And very impressive was the story of the two owners (couple) who gave everything up in Bogota, moved to this place and started not too long ago this unbelievable great hostel, where hostel is a kind of an understatement. Besides of this, they - and all the staff - were very very friendly and did everything to make our stay one of not to forget. And this worked out very well.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners and staff. Lovely green outdoor area, nice little pool with an ocean view. We had also a balcony which had an outdoor sitting area. We were allowed to leave our bags when we went for one night to Tayrona.
Cons: The room was quite hot and dark, but there were fans. Water in the shower was quite coldish. You could hear the trucks passing down the road. It's a bit of a climb to get up to the reception and the rooms, not very pleasant if you have heavy bags/suitcases.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful spot to calm down after an intense day of hiking at Tayrona Park. Beautiful facilities and really nice breakfast! Bus drive away from the park. The view from the pool is amazing.

Cons: Wifi doesn't work very well, so we suggest to do any booking before getting there.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: An amazing place with amazing view' surrounded with birds and plant, 3 min drive from Tayrona entrance/ The stuff is lovely and the restaurant make delicious food Also if you are coming with children' the pool is very attractive. Highly recommended
Cons: -
7.5 Good
Pros: hostal closely located to parque tayrona near main road, but we were not bothered by it the cabins are made of wood so you can hear a lot of animals, which is nice to wake up with (but bring your earplugs for sure) staff was ok we had a good stay, but it did not exceeded our expectations
Cons: first day we ordered a margharita cocktail which was more tequila than anything else. not good we wanted to order a cocktail on the 2nd day, but no cocktails were available anymore food was ok there is indeed a bath of stone in the bathroom but as there is no hot water I wonder what the purpose is of this
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Bathrooms are wonderful, the lack of warm water is the only downside
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Hanging laundry doesn't work since there is no roof over the line...our stuff got wet again in the rain and when we asked at the reception if we could use the hostels dryer (since they have one) they wanted COP 20.000 for it!!! Also we needed some cash changed for the taxidriver (COP 50.000 in some smaller notes), but no-one at the hostel could (or wanted to). At the reception they said they couldn't....it only worked when we bought a beer from them at the reception and got the change money. THANK YOU FOR HELPING YOUR OWN GUESTS OUT!!! The shower was either ice cold or burning hot (just right to make some tea), so suit yourself which option you prefer. After a cold or hot shower there is a chance for a cockroach waiting for you in bed. At the beginning the hostel room was clean but apparently at the second day they didn't really bother to clean so the floor got really gross. And last but not least, the hostel's dogs were barking for more than one hour straight in the middle of the night. Apparently some people had told the hostel that they would arrive later in the evening and then they were standing in front of the closed doors (which the dogs didn't like). Some other guests tried to find someone that would open the gate but couldn't so everyone just had to not sleep with the barking noise. When we told the staff the next day they didn't really care. All in all we were really disappointed in a hostel that had so many good recommendations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was awesomeeee! Thank you so much for showing how amazing Colombia is
8.3 Excellent

Tayrona Paradise - Los Naranjos - Bedroom

9.1 Excellent (195 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Santa Marta, Tayrona Paradise is within a 15-minute drive of Tayrona National Natural Park and Cristal Beach. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exeptional .....met all mi expectacions x comfort cleanines and exelent service sad to go.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tayrona Paradise is a great way to feel like you’re in the jungle but with the right amenities to make you feel comfortable! The food was delicious and it was only a 10 minute bus ride to the park. The property even had some trails to explore and it’s just a great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere! Everyone there was so kind and accommodating and helpful! We really had a wonderful stay, better than expected!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was truly amazing! Always there for questions (it helps to know some Spanish). The owner even organized a ride to our next hotel and saved us a lot of cost and effort ordering a cab from Santa Marta. Close to Tayrona Park entry (5 min bus ride). Nice gardens. Moskito nets not only over the bed but also at the windows.
Cons: Mosquito net was a bit dirty, but the owner promised to look after it when we told him at checkout. You have to be clear about the fact that you’re at the edge of a tropical forest. This goes along with the occasional cockroach and other insects around and sometimes in the room as well. But as told before there is a net around the bed and at the windows which limits insects in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing accommodation, we slept in one of the “cheaper” rooms but actually liked it most. They were open so you could hear the rain and the animals around, it was made out of beautiful wood. Everything was nice and tidy. Dinner was good and breakfast as well, nothing special. The owner is super nice and helps you with everything he can. We left our luggage there for a two days trip to tayrona which was super easy going.
Cons: When we booked, we got a message from the location which described the way to the hotel. It sounded super complicated - which it actually isn’t. It’s very very easy to find the way and the bus driver from the route from Santa Marta also knows where they need to drop you off. From the street it takes maybe 5 minutes to the hotel. Be aware that booking.com says the property handles all payments but it actually doesn’t. You need to pay at the location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully designed cabins, friendly staff, comfy bed
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location to visit Tayrona park. Interesting path to hotel. We had two young children and lots of bags but I called ahead and they arranged a man to come and help which was useful. Def should not put you off booking here. Food was quite nice. Loads of mangos everywhere so lots you can eat.
Cons: Social area is very small by television. If there is someone in there already we felt a little bit like we were invading their space. No shared kitchen if you are looking for accomodation where you can prepare your own meals.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Felt like home. Truly enjoyed soaking in the river in the back of the hotel.
Cons: No comment
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly Nice helpful staff + easy to get to the entrance of parque tayrona ! Nice natural Hotsprings

Pros: Jorge was an amazing host. He made the maximum possible effort to give us an excellent stay- freezing our water bottles so we had icy drinks for our Tayrona walking days, taking us to the local shop and showing us the walk along the scenic river across the road, supplying us with free fruits, cooking the food we liked, doing our washing etc. We are so grateful to him- anything he could think of to do for us, he did from the kindness of his heart. All this despite us speaking no Spanish and he no English.
Cons: The bathroom was quite dark. No wifi

Pros: A great place, and an amazing kind hearted owner that made us feel at home. Great location, just 10 min walk away from Tayrona entrance. Super clean and you feel like your in nature surrounded by greenery. The owner was super helpful. He waited for us when we came late at night and helped us with the luggage when it was raining outside. He also helped prepare an amazing healthy grilled fish when we got back from Tayrona which was just perfect. Highly recommended specially if you planning to go to Tayrona park.

Pros: I had the most wonderful stay in Mañanitas! I had warm shower first time since I came to Colombia, and also they had A/C in room which I appreciate on hot day! It is just 12 minutes walk from entrance to Tayrona, so location is unbeatable! The garden is so beautiful and peaceful; its a real oasis to rest after an active day in Tayrona! I had amazing chat with owners and their vision for the place is wonderful! Breakfast is included, and so yummy arepas, eggs and fruits. Best stay in Colombia so far! Muchas gracias por todo, Jorge!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The host is extremely friendly. The days we spend there I felt sick and he came with free soup, drinks and tried everything to make our stay more comfortable
Cons: The room has aircon but due to frequently power failure it's not worth much.

Pros: Good friends, great service, good talks, good advice!

Cons: absolutely everything
5.8 Okay
Pros: The room was great, bed was comfortabel and the shower is great!
Cons: Junior suite isnt the same as shown on the pictures although its still a beautiful room. The whole place needs maintenance. Only the guy at the reception speaks english. They are trying their best but its not yet resort worthy.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The location is ok-ish near the park entry, rooms are spacious. Stuff is ok
Cons: The hotel is a typical example for over investment in infrastructure that subsequently cannot be maintained. Facilities are worn out, there is mold both in the pool and rooms, the hotel has an awkward smell and food is questionable at best. We were shocked about the difference between great reviews and very bad and overprices experience. Wouldnt recommend at all, we changed after one day to a place nearer to beach and national park which was mich better
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was amazing!!

Cons: Facilities need maintenance

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts, varieties of birds on property, canopy bed, free shuttle to Tayrona Nacional Parque, the beach on the property, the pool
Cons: the roof leaked in our first room so they had to move us to another, but the room was better :)
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Food was extremely expensive and not good.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Stuff was very helpful. Shuttle service to Park Tayrona worked very well Beach area is great and solely available to hotel guests Lot of animals around the hotel area (parrots, turtles & colibris). This Hotel was an adventure, I would defintitely go there again!
Cons: Food was okay, not outstanding but fairly priced (no english speaker in the restaurant)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The ambience in the tropical forest is fantastic. I liked the eco style of the whole complex. If you like the natural forest world and observing the the tropical birds this is a great place to come.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is an unforgettable experience. Stay in amazing bungalows in what feels like the middle of the jungle. The tranquility at night is a rare experience in Colombia. Waking up to the birdsong in the morning is just perfect.
Cons: The trek to our cabin was a solid 5-10 minute walk from the property entrance (and you feel every one of those minutes in the humidity of the area). The service in the restaurant was very slow and some of the restaurant service staff were a bit rude. The menu choice was limited. I had the impression that the hotel takes advantage of the captive market (once you're on-site you're unlikely to eat elsewhere due to the distance).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quite, packed with green every where you look at, rooms are ver comfortable, hot water is an amazing treat. Food is fairly ok
Cons: Rooms are very far away from restaurant. They could have coffee makers in each room

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hoste is beautiful! The location is perfect to go into tyrona Park or to explorer other beaches nearby. Also the staff of the hostel is really nice. We already miss it and will definetly come back!!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The property is big and has a nice garden that is very nice to chill out.
Cons: There was not enough water to shower. You had to ask to turn on water every time ypi wanted to use the shower or tap. It was dry season and water is scarce, but it would then seem logical to rent out less rooms. Our shower also wasnt working, AC wasnt working. The hostel is not bad, just not the value worth of what you pay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location Food Staff
Cons: The 2nd day we waited too much for the breakfast (1hour) No hot water We suggest to change the bathroom bin every day We suggest to advice the customers there are not atm in all area
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful and nice. And the room was very nice. The location of the hostel is at another entrance of Tyrona National Park. By using this entrance you will start a very nice hike to Brava Playa. We thought this was the most perfect beach. It was not as crowded as the other beaches and de hike was far much more exciting to do.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, perfect for exploring the park from Calabazo entrance. The food was all really good quality and had some veggie options. Very friendly staff, gave us lots of tips for the area. Nice area of Tayrona with a little village and some shops/restaurants. Really cute tiki bar on site with delicious cocktails! Would definitely return.
Cons: No curtains/blinds/shutters over windows, wasn't a problem for us as we were waking up early but might be something to consider for others. Also no wardrobe, again not an issue but maybe something to keep bags off the floor would be helpful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff, very helpful and friendly. Great location right next to the Calabazo entrance of the park. Nice property in the jungle. Rooms spacious and clean.
Cons: The fan in the room wasn’t strong enough and it was way too hot to get a descent night of sleep.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host who was very helpful with anything we needed! Very close to Tayrona park, especially the jungle trail. If you want to do the beach trail, it's only a short bus ride away. Very good breakfast included. Our favourite part was the lounge and the Tiki bar. Good value for money.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very good place, very good situation, very good staff and good food
Cons: For a superior room with spa, the bed were too small , no AC in the room and the spa was not easy to use because of not much water...
7.5 Good
Pros: - Very friendly staff and owner - Very good restaurant for dinner - Nicely located in middle of nature surrounded by birds, monkeys, squirrels, etc. - Right next to less crowded entrance of Tayrona Parc - Lovely pets entertaining you in social area
Cons: - Very basic rooms with small bed and bathroom - No space to dry and hang clothes - Sometimes no water and/or electricity during our 4-day stay - Average and small breakfast

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location is amazing even though a bit far from the beach but it's not a problem if you don't mind walking and are not looking for something by the beach. It is very quiet and peaceful. The pool is awesome. The rooms are very clean and can almost be considered as luxury given the circumstances: lost in the middle of the jungle.
Cons: The food was bit overpriced but it's pretty much everywhere like that in the Caribbean coast of Colombia.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Such a cool place to stay. Really nice staff and owner, super friendly and helpful. The pool is awesome and the location of the houses in the middle of nowhere is just perfect. The beach is still easily accessible after a short walk
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simply Fantastic ! I cannot say enough good things about this lovely haven nestled in the hills. If you like off the beaten track (a good 20 minute hike uphill, alternatively jump on a 'moto', it will cost 8k but remember that 8k goes to support a family) this is the place to come to. A prefect place to come to before or after walking Ciudad perdida. With jungle all around this place is perfect if you just want to be in nature. There are a number of walks all around (the house will organise a guide) This accomadation is spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, good food, a swimming pool, good hammocks & overall very well run by the lovliest mother & daughter team mamma Anna & Monica who speaks very good english. This accomadation is not 5 star luxury, it is for sure 5 star basic Colombian accomadation in the very heart of nature. I loved it ! PS find the biggest bamboo tree you have ever seen.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed this place! It is quiet and was a perfect place to relax after La Ciudad Perdida hike. I would have happily stayed for some more days. You can mind your own business and chill out by the lovely pool. Total relaxation. I slept so well.
Cons: The hotel is at the end of a road so good to consult the hotel on how to get there. Someone took me and my small luggage on a motorbike taxi from the crossroad as the normal taxi wouldn't drive all the way. However, the road is suitable for bigger cars and that's why getting out to the airport was no issue at all. At the same time, this remoteness was a plus! There was no traffic whatsoever, just super chill and quiet all in all. The restaurant is pretty basic but provided enough nutrition. The staff speaks only Spanish but they use google translate on their phones if things get complicated. The wifi is a bit unreliable and there is no signal otherwise (or at least not on my phone).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is ideal for a quiet, relaxing time. It is a gorgeous spot with a small, clean pool which we basically had to ourselves during our stay. The food is made fresh to order from a quite small selection of local foods. It is a 30-40 minute walk to beautiful playa de los cocos, lovely views and big waves (so not really a beach for a swim!) I wished we had stayed longer!
Cons: The hotel is about 30-40 mins walk up a dirt track or you can take a motorbike taxi. The hotel help arrange these once you're there but we didn't see any down at the main road when we arrived! The closest beach is not good for swimming but lovely for a walk and has a couple of bars / food places.
7.5 Good
Pros: Peaceful and quiet nice place to stay and they have a restaurant nothing fancy but good homemade food and you can use a credit card
Cons: It’s 1.5km from the highway on a 4x4 road about 1/2hour walk up and down hills
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, the staff and food were amazing! Great value for money!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed taking motos or hiking into the beautiful kept grounds. There is a nice kitchen we wished we had brought more of our own food. The owner is the sweetest. Most of the staff was absolutely lovely.
Cons: The restaurant is the only food close by and it's a bit pricey. It could use some more variety.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The refreshing pool, the staff is super nice, the hammocks... just perfect to relax. Wifi in the pool area is working quite good (not in the rooms) A quiet house 10min by motobike from the main road (ask the bus driver to drop you at Los Cocos and there ask someone to take you with their motobike 7000 COP). They offer food but there is also a kitchen you can use to cook your own food

Pros: This property is close to the Calabazo entrance and great if you want to visit Playa Brava. Rooms were spacious with a fan. Nice staff and great we could leave our extra baggage behind while hiking through Tayrona NP.
Cons: Not a good place if you’re scared of dogs.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The pool and the staff
Cons: There was poor WiFi conection
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thank you Orna!! So kind, fun to talk to and thoughtful, everything. Great locals tips and amazing, I mean amazing, home cooked meals! Easy check-in and great room en suite! Farm dogs and cats are sweet and friendly too!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an fantastic time here, a real home from home experience. Orna and her husband were amazing hosts. Our room was very comfortable and the optional breakfast, lunch and dinners were some of, if not the best food we have eaten in Colombia. Huge portions, very tasty and different every day. There are a few kittens, puppies, chickens and lots of tortoises to keep you entertained. The pool was very welcome to cool down and sit by too. Located about 25 min walk to the Calabazo entrance of Tayrona National Park and the shops. Getting there by bus was easy, it will stop right outside if you tell them Calabazo, Finca La Gordita. They also looked after our rucksacks whilst we visited Tayrona for few days. After an exhausting hike out of Tayrona, we ended up staying a few more days to recover and rest. Perfect.
Cons: The pool was a great addition and lovely to cool down in but could have been a little cleaner however this is a working finca so is to be expected. It wasn't a problem and certainly didn't stop us from swimming every day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you're planning a trip to Tayrona you have to stay here. Such an amazing host - made us lunch and even let us shower after our stay (we left our luggage with her while in Tayrona). So nice to have a delicious home cooked meal too. She spoke English which was cool. Big pool outside and good AC. Don't expect WiFi because is none anywhere so not really a negative point. Can grab a bus to both park entrances from right outside. Highly recommend
Cons: Nada ;)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The host is so super friendly we loved her! The food she made was unbelievable! Really delicious! The place is just nice, a big pool, super cute dogs and animals and really great! We loved it
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and caring hosts. Good homemade food right from the finca.
7.1 Good
Pros: Easy access
Cons: When I came back the internet stopped working. They closed up the doors and went inside. I couldn't call them and I know they didn't want to be disturbed so I just left.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay here at Fin a la Gordita and we are sad to leave! The setting is great with lovely views of the jungle, nice pool and above all amazing hosts, Orna and Astulio looked after us and cooked us some amazing meals, after a long day travelling and one walking it was just what we needed! She also helped us getting a ticket for the National Park as we didn’t book in advance which saved us wasting day. Our stay here was just what we needed and we will miss it a lot, especially the dogs! Thank you!

6.3 Good
Pros: The location is fantastic. You literally sleep by the sea. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Facilities are probably 20-30 older than they should and are in need of urgent refurbishment. The owner should take care of this. Totally not value for money compared to nearby properties. So don’t book here unless Finca Barlovento (Cabana y Maloka) or the Senda Casa Tayrona Los Naranjos are already fully booked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, stunning views and luxurious common areas with infinity pool and relaxing lounge area.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, very peaceful.Great food and wonderful staff.A perfect place to relax.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Rude behavior, obviously reception more interested in cellphone and laptop (watching film)than in their clients Enormous contrast with Maloka where staff was outstanding
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Superb view, 2 beautiful pools with view, very comfortable seating areas (including a padded canoe!), charming and helpful staff, lovely grounds, private beach, access to PNN tayrona by a very short walk, good value drinks, huge portions, good seafood, efficient air conditioning, stunning view from room, lovely balcony, plentiful wildlife in the surrounding area, good lunch recommendation.
Cons: Hard bed, cold shower, communal eating, undercooked pancakes, gate to beach often locked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and atmosphere of the hotel was absolutely magical. The service is of great quality as much as the food is. But what really made the trip special for us was the staff, Paola was absolutely nice, efficient and sweet. Definitely recommend!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is a gem! The location is unique, you can sit and have a delicious homecooked breakfast or dinner with the sea breeze in the open patio and go to sleep in your spacious room with the sound of the breaking waves in your ears. Sounds unreal? It's not! It's all true, and even better than the guidebooks say. Lovely Paola will help you with anything you might need and don't forget to ask for John to take you on a trip to one of the highlights around the park.
Cons: Everything was fine!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was breathtaking. Pool was nice and with lots of places to relaxt. Food was ok. Special thanks to Paula who made sure we had everyting we needed. Verry kind!! Ask paula for all in Taxi (Ramon) to Tayrona. 60.000 Pesos. Nicest guy ever.
Cons: -

7.5 Good
Pros: Every comfortable room and interesting design built amongst boulders. Great little bar and restaurant and staff very good. Close to Tayrona NP and easy to get to by private car or public transport.
Cons: While a good spot for accessing Tayrona the hotel is very close to highway and with road bumps to slow traffic at night the many passing trucks have to slow down using air brakes which made it quite noisy til early hours of morning.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and friendly! We even had monkeys. The food was good and breakfast delicious!
Cons: Lovely place, only the (noise) of the traffic. Not too bad!
4.2 Okay
Pros: The guy at the front desk
Cons: The room was dirty as all the hostel
7.1 Good
Cons: Nice hotel but it is close to a busy road, so you can hear noise even during the night...
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, about 2 minutes by bus (or 20 minute walk) to the entrance of Tayrona. The staff are lovely and the garden setting is tranquil.
6.7 Good
Pros: The environment is beautiful with all the greenery, the pool and stones and beautiful stairs. Good location for Tayrona park. Awesome jungle huts with great views. You have to be able to walk some stairs though (our hut was 90 stairs up).
Cons: Staff was really disappointing. All not seeming to be very happy and the service was terribly slow. The location was perfect for Tayrona park (only 5 minutes by public bus which leaves basically every second and if you wave it stops right in front of the Hostal), but when going out for dinner there is nothing around so you have to eat at the hostal. Food was actually surprisingly good, although choices are few and service is terribly slow.

Pros: Great place to rest. Really close to Tayrona main entrance. Close to beautiful beaches.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was perfect. Traditional colombian food
Cons: The room was very small for 2 people, maybe for 1 person is ok
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Posada is the perfect location to visit Parque de Tayrona, it's just a short walk form El Zaino entrance. It's a natural paradise where you can rest and relax after the long walks into the park. Lucila was the most lovely host, she cooks great breakfasts and dinner, we immediately felt like at home.
5.8 Okay
Pros: +entrance if Tayrona is close by (10min Walk) and Shops as well as restaurants are in walking distance +it’s clean and towels are changed every day +breakfast was fresh +they order dinner at the nearby restaurant if you want (but going there takes also only 5 minutes)
Cons: +in the floor of the bungalow a nail was sticking out of the floor which we didn’t see and I injured myself + At one evening very loud music in neighborhood for hours (so loud our bungalow vibrated) in the night +Our bungalow had only one hammock and because we where the only ones there in the afternoon we sat down in two other ones at another bungalow. As soon as she saw us the owner told us (actually screamed and commanded us) very unpleasant to make way because they belonged to other guests. Of course we would not have sat there if someone else was in the pousada. We made way immediately. From them on the owners were very reserved and didn’t talk to us anymore. I regret going there because we met other people from cheaper pousadas who had much nicer and welcoming hosts and we where glad when time was there to leave as we felt really uncomfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was wonderful and the owner was very nice and helpful. She offers now WiFi and hot water which I did not need. It’s so hot and humid that a cold shower is the best. Very close to the entrance of Tayrona Park and the food was yummy. Liked the parrots and the turtles that live open around the posadas, the rooms were comfy. Definitely recommend this place for anyone that wants to go away from city, and rest.
Cons: I liked everything.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place to stay if you want to visit Tayrona National park. It's in walking distance from the entrance. It's a simple but very nice place, full of animals (birds, rabbits, etc) which make the stay very relaxing. The owners are fantastic. They can prepare not only breakfast for you, but also dinner, which is important cause there are no proper restaurants in the area. And most importantly the food is very tasty!
Cons: lack of hot water
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location only 7 to 10 minutes walk to the entrance of Parque Tayrona!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent! Very welcoming owner and crew. Warm environment surrounded by vegetation and animals. The owner Ms. Lucila is very nice, always ready to help you and give you good advice.
Cons: Nothing, she has now WiFi and hot water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything about this place - but especially the warm welcome and great support from Lucila, who runs the place. She‘ll just set you up with any information or services you might need. The pets roaming the grounds add some extra charm to this very lush place - and my cabaña was comfortable and clean. The proximity to the National Park means you get to beat the crowds in the morning!
Cons: I should have spent more time at the Posada / in the hammock :)

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice little and comfortable houses. Nice atmosphere. Very close to Tayrona main entry point.
Cons: The hotel is located next to a street with noisy traffic, also at night.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice staff, food was ok and pool was fine too. Good place to stay if you visit Tayrona park
Cons: Near a busy road and our shower didn’t function well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff, nice pool
4.2 Okay
Pros: Natural surroundings
Cons: Attitude of Reception staff , not ready to give breakfast for early flight & not even cup of coffee. Closed the water supply of toilet & Shower in the night . Have to have a taxi on term of hotel manager, very expensive with their own deal when local transport coast 8% then having taxi . Very unhelpful.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff!! They were The best!
Cons: Its more quiet than we thought, but it was perfect
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was really friendly and the facilities of the hotel are absolutely outstanding! This is an ideal place to visit Tayrona Park from. And you’ll feel way better and more comfortable than everyone laying and paying for a small tent or hammock at Tayrona.
Cons: I suffered a heavy poisoning because the chicken in the restaurant was not ready when served. They made some extra chicken quickly after bringing the wrong dish before. Because of that we could not move and stayed for an extra night. The staff was absolutely friendly and helpful, but they let us pay everything: the extra nights, the recovery-drinks and even the raw chicken. Thereby they didn’t say sorry. In our opinion this is not a proper way to treat your guests. And for a hotel which is so good and nice - we had in all other ways a great stay - they should definitely learn from this.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good position and great food and bar area. They have autonomous power plant which is great since in the area it is usual to have black outs.
Cons: For breakfast there was nothing left, no eggs, no bread, only one pancake to share. We tried to have a snack in the afternoon but nothing was available. Cockroaches are likely to come into your room but probably is kind of normal since you’re in the middle of the nature.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location near to the park
Cons: No air conditioned in the bungalows. And it is needed!!
