We really enjoyed this hotel. Everything is really perfect. The staff is particulary helpful, friendly and very efficient. We stayed in a "Superior Suite" which was really nice and very well accomodated. This hotel and its whole team do really deserve the 5 stars. We recommend this hotel and we are looking forward to spending our next holiday in "La Résidence Mykonos".
The hotel staff were exceptionally welcoming. The facilities were beauiful and there was a lovely serene atmosphere. The rooms were lovely
The pools are beautiful. And the service of the bar-tender is impressive. The whole place is clean and tidy. Quiet, as well. Far from the town, so you need a car if your plan is not only stay in the hotel...
The beautiful view, the ambience of a boutique hotel with plenty of privacy, the spacious room and the proximity to a great beach. Breakfast by the pool was a real treat. The staff were professional and very accomodating while being friendly and relaxed. The mosquitos! Despite their best efforts with mosquito nets accross the windows and balcony doors, mosquitos still managed to find their way into the room and hide throughout the day between the nooks/cracks in the wooden ceiling.
beautiful small hotel, nice for relaxing. based on our experience of hotels it is a good 4 star hotel, certainly not a 5 star.
Friendliness, absolute tranquility, attentiveness of staff, location to beach and lovely surroundings of pretty and hotel. Probably the room's bathroom. For a beach break did not find it sufficient or comfortable.
Very nice comfortable hotel, close to Kalo Livadi beach, away from "madhouse" mykonos city and away from the crazy (hotel) prices. Designed with eye for detail. Value for money is not easy to find in Myconos, this ís one though....
The hotel is very intimate, situated in a very quiet environment and very nicely decorated, in a design style. The garden with palmtrees is beautifull. The room( executive suite)was very comfortable and big enough. ( very good beds)The food is realy delicious!!! you can reach mykonos with the bus (15min) , the best is to rent a car or bike to discover the rest of the island. There aren't a lot of sunbeds around the small poolarea, and in case of hot weather there are no umbrellas, but you have a nice covered outside lounge space. We never saw the bar, neither the second exterior lounge space illuminated in the evening.( economics?) The airco in the breakfastroom doesn't work hard enough or not, it was very hot.
The delux rooms were spacious and had great sea views. The walk back from the beach at night was dark, take a torch.
quiet and nice pool area
The peaceful atmosphere around the pool.
The decor, views, toiletries and easy parking. a bit far from action unless one has a car...fortunately we did!
Beautiful hotel, welcoming and accommodating staff and amazing sea views - very relaxing and chilled out location Bathrooms could do with updating slightly - everything apart from this was perfect.
The hotel is close to one of the best beaches of mykonos. The room had plenty of space and nice view to the sea. The children are not allowed so our stay it was very peaceful. Although we were told that there were umbrellas on the beach only for the hotel customers, these umbrellas were taken by non hotel customers so we could not find a free one for us. The room needed maintenance (lamps were not working, the door was not easily locking).
Although at the end of Season, the Staff were very helpful &friendly. The Hotel was kept very clean, breakfast was excellent-free use of Laptop from reception &receptionist very helpful when we decided to book a flight from Mykonos & a free Transfer to Airport Only minor-the jacuzzi bath was broken in our room-we were asked if wanted to move room but declined-Pool was was running out of stock but was end of season-some people didnt like music being played around Pool Area!
Everything was amazing! The breakfast was unbelievable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The bus stop is right outside so I didn't mind that the location was a bit outside the main town. It was very clean and beautiful. Loved everything about this hotel. Nothing
Women were very helpful Men did not listen Took my passports the entire trip and I couldn't get into clubs. Too far from everything Overcharged my card
The supreme staff! It's basically family run, and they treat you like one of their own. Service goes a long way in my opinion. Can't blame the hotel, but it's difficult to get around on this island. Taxis are challenged.
The rooms were modern good price friendly staff. Pool was very nice. Distance from main town and paradise beach
The beach, the surrounds and the staff were great. The bathroom was smelly and dark. Fortunately, there were outdoor showers. The beds were uncomfortable. Didn't feel comfortable in the rooms.
nice view improve access to the rooms
Very close to the beach and a tavern. Very windy during August Too expensive> not so many facilities for kids.
The pleasure of Kalafatis beach which was quiet and solely for our use. No crowds but families and a wonderful view of the sea. I spent days on the beach. The hotel is a fair distance from town or any nightlife should you want to see it. You would need to rent a car or bike to get anywhere other than the resort...
jacuzzi is nice bad region, old hotelcomplex, masstouristic room and overall style
The resturant down the road. The view. The silent ring tone on the wake up call. The stained hard mattress.
location - design some noise from the children playground near the hotel
good service, very good position booked a double room and anded up in a twin which we weren't happy with, especially when not full.
flexible breakfasts 8.0am /12.00, friendly and efficient staff slightly noisy iin the concrete open aur vpassageways outside the romm between 8.00 and 10.30am (when I got up )
This hotel was perfect. The location was amazing the hotel staff was incredibly friendly. It was just perfect. stay here for sure!
The hotel staff members were very hospitable and extremely attentive. The late, full service breakfast was also a great benefit. The internet connection was not strong enough for reception in the room.
The facilities are great. The decoration is beautiful. The breakfast is the best. Very well located. Large rooms. Bathroom is new, comfortable and clean. Not all staff speak good english. Staff not especially friendly.
Even though we were above the pool area, we were still on the ground floor! Walk down the steep hill from main road with cases!
It is a very charming hotel. We loved our stay there. Although they state that we have free access to wifi internet in the roooms, we rarely were able to connect from the room and had to go to the Lobby in order to use it.
The Semeli Hotel is a true find! My husband and I were very impressed with the beauty of the hotel and their outstanding staff. Our hosts were extremely warm, helpful, and efficient. They went out of their way to make us feel at home upon our arrival. We were exhausted from hours of traveling and they told us to take relax and simply take a seat at their gorgeous balcony, which overlooks the sea and town of Manorola as well as terraced balconies of grape vines and lemon trees. They gave us caviar on crackers and delicious white wine while they brought our bags to our room and processed our hotel registration. We felt completely at home and relaxed within moments. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to return some time soon!
The location is great! It's easy to get the center. Nice room, nice pool, nice breakfast and cool bar.
The staff was very accommodating they make you feel like a VIP. Dinner at their restaurant was wonderful and so was the lunch by the pool. Spa services were also top notch. Overall I had a wonderful experience. Very quiet. Great place to go and relax. Thank you so much to the entire staff. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars all the way is because the beach is about a 10 mnt walk down the hill or a quick drive which they kindly offered but I would have preferred being at a beach front property with cocktails available at the beach.
The breakfast was phenomenal Shower was not hot nor did all the jets work at once. Quite a disappointment
Plenty of room space, superb (included) breakfast with very personalised service at reputedly one of the best restaurants of the island, convenient pool just out of the room, airport pickup / delivery, cooking facilities in the room, free wireless internet, nice beach at walking distance (and on the same level!) with free use for hotel customers, flexibility in shuttle bus tours to down town. Insects, slightly more regular room clean-up / towel change needed. Cost is an issue but yet again this is Mykonos (and Elia)! Wireless reception in my room unavailable (I had to work next to the pool, which was not so bad of course).
It was very nice to stay in Arte Mare elia suites. Everything was perfect and professional. Magnificent design of rooms and incredible view of the location. Professional staff always ready to help at any time. Delicious breakfast was waiting for you in the restaurant with an amazing view of the Elia beach.
The room was beautiful as was the view over the beach from our balcony. The beach was world-class... perfect for a romantic getaway or for families and the free use of beach chairs was a big plus. The driver to and from Mykonos was extremely accomodating and willing to work with our schedule. Breakfast was outstanding. Because we were there with kids, we had to rely upon room service from the Calypso restaurant for a few meals. I do not recommend this to anyone. The food was terrible and prices were sky high. Go instead to the other restaurant just a few feet down the beach... much better quality and better prices.
perfect sea and beach supplies(sunbeds/umbrellas) quite expensive.
breakfast was great!
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect. We would stay there again.
Everything was great. Spacious and clean rooms with great sea view, polite and friendly staff. The food and the service at Capelayo restaurant were fantastic. The beach right across the suites maybe one of the best in the island. We will be definitely be coming back next year! no nothing
Excelent room with magnific views. The hotel is facing the Elia beach. The long distance from city centre (20 min by car) and the weak water pressure in the bathroom (as well as the time it takes to warm up).
The service definitively specially from Kostantinos at the front desk was something very unique. The view from the room was amazing and I loved the orange juice during the breakfast the best! Thank you we really will be back N/a
Luxurious minimalistic decor. Very attentive staff. Great view from top floor. Own jacuzzi. Great room Fish & lobster dinner a bit bland. Could have used more seasoning.
excellent service, very nice room this hotel is not near by the beach. you have to pay 5 euro for a bench on the beach
Very friendly and helpful hotel staff. Beautiful setting with view of the beach. Pool was amazing. Just a short walk to the beach. Food was delicious and well presented. Would highly recommend this hotel. Our favourite hotel in Greece!
Everything except the size of thr rooms. They should be slightly larger for this type of hotel.
The staff there is amazing!!! So accommodating, so kind, just lovely in every way possible! Beautiful hotel, great views, fully recommend!
Friendliness of staff
Amazing staff and service Short walk to 2 great beaches Short drive to town
Lovely location on well appointed beach Platis Yialos, close to Mykonos town (bus or taxi -10'). Great Spa, very helpful staff in all areas (dining, reception, spa, porter, etc) good cuisine (greek/fusion), good selection of wines, and nice ambiance. Bathroom maintaneance poor (a bit "jaded"- toilet seat supports broken/missing), door of room rattles in the wind (frequent) - fixed it myself with a piece of paper), delivery of gift items ordered beforehand for my wife's birthday were forgotten, follow up poor, (Hotel manager made nice gesture (free meal) in compensation, but was a shame.Hotel quite full and busy for end of season. Seem to have got their pricing right.
The view, proximity to the beach, the staff, the breakfast buffet it was a little difficult to get to the town.
Amazing views, attentive staff and a short drive to Mykonos the only thing missing in the morning was the Canadian edition of the news they provide.
We booked a number of hotels through bookings.com for our honeymoon, this hotel was by far our favorite. The reception staff were professional and helpful. Not to mention the beach & local restaurants were 100 metres walk away. Our room was clean and tidy. We also had a beautiful view with a balcony looking out to the med. ps. The water massage was wonderful too No complaints, as mentioned this was our favorite hotel and destination.
hotel location is a little far from the center of the city if you are walking.. however if you rent a car or a motorcycle is perfect!
Sophia is helpful. The hotel is comfort and nice. We had a very nice sea view from the room and also from the restaurant. They provide the arrive and depart transport service to us. This hotel is located on the hill, so you need to some energy to climb up to the hill to back to the hotel if you refuse to take cab. Anyway, you may use the main road to walk back, though is further but is easier.
kind staff, good service. greate view from balcony
Was a little disapointing, position, breakfast, staff were good. as above
Pick-up service is good. Nice view, swimming pool and staff is very friendly. A little bit far from downtown and you have to take many steps. Have to rent a car/scooter to go out.
The fantastic view of Mykonos from the hotel, being up on the hill. The staff are friendly (although not all speak English) but even offer free transfers to the Mykonos town and the port Staying in a double room with a third roll out bed, the third bed was quite uncomfortable and not ideal. The springs of the bed could be felt and it was quite hard.
Hotel alkyon is in a spectacular location overlooking Mykonos town. The pool is lovely after a long day and you can watch the sunset from your balcony. Aircon in room is good. Decor good. Clean. If u need washing done the laundry half way down the steps to the town will do it for 10E for a big bag - wash, dry, fold. Drop it off and come back a few hours later - convenient. The hotel is not near any food or drink shops - 5 min walk but down a steep hill/stairs , then back up again -hot in middle of day and poorly lit sections of path at night. I think it is worth it for the view though - much better than staying in town. Taxi from town centre about 3E but can be quite a wait for a cab.
I like the most my view from the balcony to the island and the sea - perfect! I guess - nothing
Excellent view, good breakfast and very friendly & helpful staff. Not too far from downtown, cost 3.5 euro taxi from downtown uphill to this modern hotel. And takes 10 minutes short cut to walk down to downtown with suprising scene. This hotel is around 5 minutes far from airport. Everything is good.
Sophia and her family made us feel at home straight away. They are such beautiful and friendly people. The hotel has a great position on the side of the hill, overlooking Mykonos town. It has great views. The pool area was spectacular. Rooms were big and clean. The fresh crossaints at breakfast were awesome!! Breakfast choices were limited, but it could have been because it was off-season. It is hard to fault this hotel. It was spectacular!
The beach is very close and is very nice with beautifull sand and free umbrellas for hotel guests. Very comfortable rooms, great breakfast - so much food! At the evening a lot of candles in a whole hotel - very nice. Free transportation to Mykonos Town, unconvinient hours of coming back to the hotel. We don't like this very much.
Upscale, clean, friendly staff. Pool area was delightful Outdoor jacuzzi was cleaned only once per week. Needed attention every day. Beds and pillows boarder on HARD
Even though the hotel was almost full, it never felt crowded or bustling with people and we were never disturbed by others. Very peaceful and relaxing experience.
The view of the Aegean Sea The hotel is not 5 star level and certailnly not of the standard of the Leading Hotels of the world
Proximity to beach. Facilities. Luxury standards Shuttle service required
Location, hospitality and services are pretty good, the most of time friendly and kind stuff help that your stay is very pleasant. There is the only one restaurant during the day(on the pool) which is open. They charge you for any additional service which is not usually for us in this chain of hotels. Furniture on the pool and terraces are in not perfect condition they need to substitution a long time ago or better maintenance . There is no possibility to take breakfast on open air and it is pity.
Location is good; 10 minute walk to the town center. Noisy - you could hear everything on the road. The room did not feel comfortable and the bathroom was smelling of sewage.
Right on the beach with nice pool facility. A little outside of town so you can get away from the hustle and bustle but still only a short walk away. Very friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast with reasonable selection. Amazing view of the beach and ocean from our room's large balcony. Good value for the price. The hotel is a little outside of downtown which is good in that it is quieter, although there can be some minor traffic noise since it is next to the road; however, this noise is minimal compared to some other locations closer to town. The walk to town is short but not on the most pedestrian friendly road. I would go out of my way to stay at this hotel again, we had a great experience.
It's close to the city, right on the beach with beautiful views. The maid service was uneven
The position of the hotel was ideal for us, laid back but still 5 mins walk to Mykonos Town. Staff very friendly and attentive, nice pool, nothing particularly missing so our stay was quite nice and relaxing. We were given a very nice room with a huge terrace facing the sea and we appreciated it quite much. If possible, we would like to come back.
The property is very clean and the breakfasts are great. Above all, the staff is extremely courteous The quality of beds could be improved.
beach/seaside swimming pool breakfast nothing
Excellent location, perfect views, quiet, imaginative landscaping
The hotel staff was wonderful. It felt like a family run hotel whose priority was making your stay the most valuable it could be. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi every morning. The breakfast spread was superb. In addition, the pool area was stunning. And all of this was only a five minute walk from downtown! I highly recommend this hotel!
the staff was very friendly we booked the hotel in order to be able to have a quick nap and a hot shower before our early flight home. The hot shower didn't work!!!!
The location is good, with perfect view of the sea and 6 windmills from the room. The inner decoration is unique and charming. it would be better if the hotel could provide facilities for tea making in the room.
Very nice Location overlooking the sea and the famous windmills, Also close to the main town. Nice clean rooms with balcony. Great interiors of the lobby as well as the room! Enjoy your stay!! cheers!
great location could have had more information on things to do as most people come here on vacation
Very pleasant staff, great location, fridge in room half a male genitalia picture on bedroom wall!
I had emailed to arrange a transfer from the port, but no one was there to pick us up. It is very difficult to get taxis on the island so it was difficult to get to the hotel.
The beds were very large and comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The hotel staff were nice also and were very kind to not charge us one night when we were stranded on another island due to ferry issues. Were not very impressed overall for the price; firstly the bathroom always flooded whenever you had a bath. The internet that was offered was outrageously expensive at ten euros for 200 minutes. The rooms were cold and noisy due to beds being placed under windows and the hotel being right next to a road. The decor was very bizarre. Our view was of the surrounding area covered with rubbish and bins - luckily the wind was going in the direction away from the hotel or the smell would have been terrible. Overall not too impressed.
The location was perfect and the installations are excellent. Breakfast is wonderful.
The crew was very nice, breakfast was delicious. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The hotel was very close to the main tourist attractions and beach, great view.
The staff is amazing. The food is incredible. The hotel itself is beautiful, very well decorated, and has an amazing view.
The view is beautiful and reception is very kindly The room is a little bitter small
Excellent view, friendly service and fantastic restaurant Bed could have been better. Two pillows per person is my personal minimum.
The staff were amazing here, so helpful, nothing was too difficult. The food in the restaurant is also fantastic. The view is stunning. Highly recommend staying here.
The location could not be better! Walking distance from Mykonos Town, but not too close to worry about the noise. The hotel has an amazing view over Mykonos Town. The staff was fantastic and really went out of their way to accommodate us and our needs.
The staff, especially Denise and Stella, went out of their way to insure we had a great stay! Great place, very nice people. beautiful views! The bed was too hard for us, but it was a typical European bed.
This hotel is excelllent. It is perched on a hill just above the main part of Mykonos town. It takes 5 - 10 minutes to walk down the hill (via various short cuts), but is a moderately steep climb on the way back. The view is magnificent. The restaurant food at the hotel is very good value. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable. The pick-up service from the port is a great start to the holiday. Would love to stay there again. Highly recommended. Everything was perfect, although older tourists might need to be prepared for the climb up from the town. On the other hand, the taxi ride from the town to the hotel only costs 3 euro.
Stella, Antonia and Needa were excellent and very informative. I would highly recommend staying at their hotel. When I return to Mykonos, I know where I am staying.
The staff were very friendly.
