Beautiful suite. Close to Kananaskis Golf Course. Got an upgrade because of 30th Anniversary. Much appreciated! Unfortunately pretty hot notwithstanding the use of the air conditioner. Probably wouldn't stay there except for the golf. Very expensive. Stayed in NY this early spring and paid less just off Times Square!
The hotel in general was good, the room was excellent, liked the pool and hot tub, scenery was fantastic was a little disappointed in the food quality
Great rooms with great views! One of my favourite things about this hotel is the pool area that includes a sauna, indoor/outdoor hot tub, cold pool, and steam room with scented steam. Kananaskis Village is a great alternative to the relatively busy Banff/Canmore area. There was a team-building exercise going on in the middle of the "town square" at 9:30am on a Sunday morning, with individual people shouting at the top of their lungs over and over ("I am a strong and confident leader"). This was not appreciated as we could hear it quite loudly in our hotel room and could not get back to sleep. My only complaint for a relaxing weekend away.
The location was remarkable and amenities easily accessed. It was great to spend the day outdoors and not have a significant drive in order to reach facilities with a shower, nice room and food! On receipt of my final bill, I noticed in small print that I had been given the option to refuse a newspaper. However, this was not mentioned to me at any time and when I received the paper, I assumed it was complimentary. This information should have been shared at checkin and the option made clear at that time.
We dined at the Seasons Steakhouse and had a wonderful meal with delicious food and excellent service! During our stay, we had an unfortunate call from our family telling us that my mother was terminally ill. As a result we had to reduce our stay by 1 night and leave early. The staff were exceptional in their response - our reservation was adjusted, a sympathy note was slipped under our door and a complimentary breakfast was provided. We were most impressed - and appreciative! And look forward to a return visit as soon as possible! Many thanks to all of your staff. Nothing!
The setting and grounds are spectacular and the staff wonderful. It rained so hard it flooded our deck
The rooms did not have air conditioning, just a portable fan.
This hotel has a great location for admiring views, disconnecting from stress, relaxing and hiking. The hotel room was very comfortable and the price midweek was very good for 5 people. We will definitely be going to this hotel again. The bad side to the location is that you have to drive if you want a choice of many restaurants and grocery stores. the scenic drive makes it a pleasure to drive to Canmore or Banff.
The room was very comfortable and the views were fantastic. I had trouble with very noisy neighbours and the front desk moved me to another room immediately.
every staff member we met was very courteous and wanted to make our stay special for us. N/A
I liked that I was able to take a long walk in the morning with the mountains surrounding me. Both the asphalted and gravelled walks were very good. The Sunday morning brunch although delicious, was very pricey.
The location and the care the house keeping staff gave ourt room The length of time we waited for our food order in the Bighorn lounge our first evening at the Delta.
I stayed in a two bedroom suite in the Aurora suites and it was 100% the best stay of my week in this area. The accommodations are luxury, and very clean and comfortable. I could have stayed here for another month or two, it had everything I needed. Outdoor patio space with dining space and a bbq, gourmet kitchen, in suite washer dryer, jet shower, two bedroom master suite set up, spacious living room and dining room, fireplace in all bedrooms, and comfortable bedding. I can't wait to come back for another stay!
I liked the location of the resort I liked the room I liked the underground parking I liked the attached spa I didn't like the noisy neighbors Friday and Saturday nights!!! I didn't like getting double charged for the stay especially when I asked at check out if there would be any charges and they said no. The charges did get reversed but I had to do all the leg work! I didn't like that there wasn't a restaurant/bar in the resort I didn't like that they didn't have an atm onsite
The executive suite we stayed in is stunning. It is well appointed and beautifully crafted. It is truly top notch, like an expensive home away from home. The room we happened to be in had a thermostat issue and though it was set to "cool" and 16 degrees C, the heat ran all night in the unit and the temperature read 27 degrees C. Unfortunate but manageable.
We loved the 2 bedroom suite Lots of room for the children to play around. We took advantage of the kitchen and ate in both nights. The pool was nice and warm. We swam from 8:30-10 both nights. Loved our stay at the StoneRidge!
I liked the room and balcony with barbecue. The full kitchen. The heated pools outside were nice.
It was quiet and relaxing Most of the dishes and the toaster were dirty. I had to was everything before using and it was not just dust, it was caked on food left on the dishes and cutlery.
Standard of room was very good. Facilities at the hotel were also good. Within easy walking distance of town centre and ideally situated if looking for good hiking routes
The suites are beautiful and cozy. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again
they switched our room. but it was 3am. lots of hassle. Did not expect this with the money we spent. bed bugs.
Close to almost everything in town and Banff national park Room felt like a sauna, had to open the window, turn the furnace to air conditioning, sleeping at night was uncomfortable with how warm it was
I appreciated the early check-in and the later check-in, and the room upgrade to a quieter location, by the friendly front desk staff. The central location allowed us to park under cover and walk to everywhere we needed, to shop and attend the late fireworks events...we will be back to this Ramada property in beautiful Canmore! It was a superb stay with great staff... no negative comments!
Friendly staff, clean room ! Water slide was closed and the restaurant was in a separate building !
Convenient in Canmore. Train was loud and frequent, price is pretty high for what you get. No free breakfast either.
The rate offered @booking.com was outstanding. The resort was not quite finished as per landscaping, but so very nice. Beautifully designer like decorated and fitting for the peaceful outdoors area. All bedding and amenities couldn't have been nicer. **The management disounted the unpublished Resort fee of $15! Not notedon the booking site. By appearance it seemed a bit pretentious, but the welcoming staff and sense of privacy eased that. Parking was a bit confusing. They did not even have a sign up yet so we relied on our gps. Someone flooded the spa tub above us and rained into our master bath, but the staff was quick to move us, and discounted our stay 25%.
The room was excellent. It was well set up, the beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was within walking distance of the downtown area which was nice. The underground parking was alos nice to have and would be even better staying there in the winter. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel.
Mattress was comfortable and the morning staff were quite friendly. Our room location was terrible, being able to access any amenities was quite challenging. The parking lot was brutally laid out and only after arrival did we find out they don't even provide shampoo. I will not be returning to this resort.
The size and amenities of the room. The halls are off-putting because they are far bleaker than obe would expect of a luxury hotel and detract from the experience.
The bathroom was exceptional once we learned how to us all the options. The unit was verry well equiped.
Condo units allow for families to "spread out" and enjoy their own space.Kitchen facilities were superior and the unit was very quiet. The room needs a good cleaning because constructiopn dust still resides in corners in the washrooms. On the surface it appears clean but it does need one more post-construction vacuum and clean. The wood around the sinks in the wash rooms are not going to remain spotless or stainless for very long.Poor choice of counter top in washrooms. The new modern design of the shower/tub/spa/stem closet is interesting but several nuts and bolt covers remained in the tub after use.A thorough inspection of all nurts and bolts is necessary to prevent rusting and doors etc opening/closing properly.the tub leked water onto the floor as the caulking around the tub/shower unit is poorly done and will most certainly cause future problems.
That was the best hotel. we would take the shower with us if we could :) nothing
New, nice amenities Hotel room too small
Well appointed room with good ammenities and excellent showers! Long distances from some rooms to the front desk and pool area
The view from our room and the swimming area was nice for a family. The change area was very small for the pools and no change tables. The water was cold in the kiddie pools but we kept alternating from the hot tub. The breakfast was a really long wait.
The room with the kitchenette & balcony was fantastic. Underground parking and a great pool with a waterslide was great. The town experience da power outage and the hotel was completly blacked out. The hallways were pitch black as there was no emergency lighting in hallways and parkade. I would have thought safety bylaws and codes make it mandatory for hotels to have such emergency lighting. Luckily it was during daylight hours and the staff were very helpful helping people get around.
The showers were amazing! The decor in the suite was perfect. The kitchen had enough to make every meal. The view of the mountains was beautiful. The waterslide in the pool was fast, loved it!
it was quiet and relaxed atmosphere clean with moderate luxury could have used another hot tub
i really enjoyed how comforting the room was. really liked the fact that the rooms were very well equiped and the service at front desk was very friendly. The hot tub was amazing. need bigger towels for guests to use.
we were amazed with the rooms! absolutely beautiful!
no wheel chair ramp/ ramp for my baby stroller.
Nice clean big! Rooms, good location ,friendly staff
The rooms were extremely nice and very clean, and the kitchenette was very well stocked and modern. We loved it and would stay there again when we come back for our family ski trip this winter.
Easy access from Calgary and pet friendly accommodation in the mountains. Fully equipped rooms with nice kitchen and sitting area. Quick walk to trail along the river with scenic views, or 10 min drive into Canmore. Staff are very friendly and parking underground is nice in winter. Wifi only good for the bare essentials.
Copperstone resort was even better than I expected would recommend this resort to anybody for a relaxing stay. none
The comfort and peace and quiet
very comfortable and spacious. Location is abit away form everything. Granted only a few miles down the road, but nothng other than a gas station and mini convienence store in this location.
The locations is good. Driving distance to all amenities in Canmore. The room was small. You get what you pay for.
Staff was helpful, value for money we paid for our room was incomparable for the area, bed was comfortable, wifi in the room, clean bathroom and reakfast was great
The TV wasn't working and the bed wasn't comfortable at all. Had backpain in the morning, because of the bad mattress. The cushions were thick polyester ones, so what is ecologic about that. All the things in the hotel were not ecological at all, don't think the people know what this term means... I was happy we only stayed one night, that was more than enough and could hardly sleep.
Advertised as pet friendly, and then I was charged $80 extra (which supposedly wasn't even the full extra charge). I will not book this hotel again, that was super unprofessional
Great breakfast Easy check in/out Room was clean Shampoo and conditioner in the shower were terrible Room was a bit small Walls were a bit nicked, and furniture a bit worn Parking in the area was bad
hotel is convenient to dowtown canmore but still in a quiet location. easy access to major highway. rooms are on the small side.
It was a relative bargain considering the options. The bed. Worst I've experienced in 30+ years of staying in hotels/motels. Direct result of the 2 beds pushed together to make a king size. The 'memory foam' topper was uncomfortable as can be. Some people like memory foam - we hate it.
It was close to downtown. Nice view of the mountains. breakfast was good. Hot tub didn't work and was knid of pricey for what you get.
Cleanliness and location Price and mandatory extra ecofee
Clean, staff pleasant, breakfast buffet included small room, bit run down, felt more 'motel like'
Great breakfast included Room was small, but everything I needed for my one night stay
I did like the location of hotel very central canmore. Mountain views were quite pretty if you can overlook all the other hotels nearby. Underground parking was a nice treat! The staff members I found to be quite rude, particularly the girl at the front desk. There was no room service and the "bistro/bar" was never open (When asking the front desk girl about this she replied that it is rarely open). The people in the room above us partied all night and eventually got kicked out of the hotel near 4am. Kids were running up and down the halls all evening and our room overlooked the hot tub so we were unable to keep our blinds open as there were only black out curtains and people could easily see in. The room appeared clean at first however the fridge was disgustingly dirty. Overall I would never recommend this hotel to a friend or family member and in fact I have cautioned them against staying here.
Front desk personnel not engaged at check in. Actually had to enquire if one was on shift so we could check in at 630. Hairs all over bathroom tub sink toilet and walls. Room didn't feel clean at all.
Roomy and well-maintained, well-equipped, comfortable, clean. We paid extra for a room with 'deck or bay window overlooking the mountains.' We were handed keys, then found our room was being remodeled. They gave us a basement room with view of a parking lot, at the same price: NOT what they promised in their ad.
the staff, the setting, location, breakfast, everything really. It was a nice beginning to our trip in Banff area. It is close to Banff and really great in terms of moving back and forth as well as the price was reasonable.
The view from our room was majestic. The mountain range from our deck was breathtaking. The Three Sisters, a combination of three mountain peaks in one mountain range, was unbelievable. The plumbing in the shower was unsatisfactory. Half the water released went through the shower head and other half went to the tub which did not drain properly so you were standing in water while you took a mediocre shower. The lavatory was too small.
We were greeted warmly. We had a room with a fireplace and a balcony, very nice. The breakfast was also very good.
Not well kept. Building was new but walls were dirty and shower didn't drain. Bedding looked like it was 100 years old. Furniture, bed and TV were old and cheap.
Price was decent and the room was quiet, bathroom was small and old but appeared to be clean. Breakfast (please don't call it free) was very basic -toast, cereal, pasteries, some juice, apple and bananas, waffle maker and coffee. Very dated, old TV and phone, still had keyed door locks for the room. Breakfast had no orange juice at 9:30 am. Only 2 pillows per bed, most hotels you stay at have 4 per bed. Wifi had 2 networks and slow when you could connect.
Breakfast was good! Room was big enough for 5. Washroom was clean Overall it was a very good stay. Will come back for sure.
This was a one night stopover on the way back from Jasper prior to continuing on to Calgary for our return flights to the US. To say we were surprised at the facilities available is an understatement. I thought and expected this to be a standard hotel, and was unaware when making the reservation it's designed as an extended stay facility. Our room, actually more a suite considering the size and features, was equipped with a full kitchen, washer and drier, the living room area had the expected TV but there was also an AM/FM receiver for music and a DVD player. The bathroom had all very modern fixtures and the bedroom was also equipped with a TV plus the bed turned out to be very comfortable. I can't speak for the performance of the facility for an extended stay as a look at other reviews following our stay, indicated some visitors had issues with room maintenance and linen changes. That given, after spending a great deal more for a week in a standard hotel room in Banff I definitely would have stayed here had I know about the features offered. Not only would the costs have been significantly less, but Canmore is only 20 Km South from Banff and other sightseeing spots in the area. It would have been a perfect location for our travel plans plus the facility offered underground parking as another plus. (Parking in Banff was hit and miss due to the crowds). Can't add any advice on restaurants or other things to do in Canmore, as we only had time for a quick lunch before departure. Speaking for myself, if we go back to the area to enjoy the fabulous hiking and sightseeing opportunities, I would definitely pass on staying in Banff, and use this hotel as the base for our area travel plans. The bathroom tub fills from a tap in the ceiling! This creates a lot of noise initially until the tub starts to fill. Our specific room location was on the first floor facing the front of the building and the road. Since we were only there for one night, this didn't turn out to be an issue, but if you do stay here, try for a room away for the front. Each room apparently has an outside sitting area, so if you intend to take advantage of this added feature, a higher room location on the rear of the building makes even more sense.
very nice up-to-date rooms convenient location off highway with easy access to town and area attractions but tucked along a crowded road with minimal outdoor green space
The wives loved it. Very comfortable stay.
Staff was very friendly and helpful Room was clean and has own climate control and fireplace. Very easy access to Canmore or highway Hot breakfast tasted like it came from a can. Pool, hot tub and steam room were all cold which makes warming up and relaxing difficult.
Very nice rooms! Nothing
Beautiful, large clean room for a great price and wonderful breakfast.
The pool and the location.
Great hottub and pool Expensive for the sIze of room and bed quality
The staff was courteous, attentive and helpful; and the food in the hotel restaurant was surprisingly good and attractively presented.
The sunday brunch was good, hotel was clean and they provide a comp drink when the room was not ready as promised I didn' t see the value for the upgraded room I paid for, disapointing.
Reception and cleaning staff were very courteous and helpful
Staff were excellent. The hotel staff and facilities were excellent however, they had no record of our booking! They were very accommodating and agreed to give us the rate we booked with your company. So we would return to the hotel but are disappointed with booking.com.
Nice location, not far from city center. Hotel had no record of booking, lasted half an hour to get a room. There was no safe in room.
clean and comfortable and centrally located
The beds were very uncomfortable, the bathroom and shower were very small.
Friendly staff, good location, room was nice
Got a great deal on Kayak Because we got a great deal on Kayak, I think we were put into a pet friendly room. We found a dog toy behind on the the tables (ewww). Also no sewing kits which are usually found in hotel rooms and much needed during this visit.
Overall the hotel was just ok.... Not impressed with the "pet friendly" as I assume these are little dogs or maybe cats.. Not dogs the size of ponies. YUCK!!! Also, if your looking for a goodnight sleep, this is not the hotel for you...paper walls. Another negative is that you have to go outside to get to the pool. Wouldn't stay again!
Free upgrade to room with small patio back yard -- perfect on lovely evening & for parking bikes. Large jetted tub, which my wife enjoyed. Also a shower. Very comfortable with 4-poster bed. Well-trained staff. Owner helpful, friendly, enjoys a chat.. Didn't need it, but surprised to find no phone in the room.
Great breakfast that was very tasty and nutritious.
A small inn
The location and the staff When we orderd this hotel, there was a breakfast included. But when we arrived it was not included.
The charm of this adorable inn and the friendliness of the staff will bring us back. Also, they provide a three-course breakfast which was fresh and delicious. It was wonderful to have the option of coming out of our room in the morning to such a treat.
The room was very nice and so was the fitness facility, pool (really small but nice since only 2 of us were using it), and hot tub.
We loved everything.thank you very much for everything The restaurant was terrible!!!!!!
Good location, good service, comfortable room, everything worked, reasonable value for money, liked the gym. Limited catering facilities (no kettle, no cutlery)
The description on the internet site It was very old and shabby. Beds caused my husband a trip to the chiropractor, and the overall appearance was drab and depressing. Not what I expected from a "suite" hotel advertising the way you did. Was so dissapointed we almost left.
easy access, staff friendly clean up rooms
very nice, quiet, free internet, good costumer service and very clean.
Breakfast was not available.
Friendly, comfortable and convenient, and Canmore is a clean and interesting town, less busy then usual tourist places. Enjoyed white water rafting locally. Air conditioning not very efficient, and if we opened a window at night, were disturbed by large freight trains running close behind the hotel. [ room at back of hotel]
The suite we had was very big for the 2 of us. great facilities The railway was about 20metres from hotel. The room shook when the train ran past at speed. Trains ran through the night, we got very little sleep!
The family room we booked had everything that we required for a one night stop over I didn't like how the breakfast pricing was structured
I did not like anything about my stay. Poor staff, machines were out ou use. When we arrived I was given a room that was not in the descrption of what I booked on-line. The staff said Booking overbooked and thier was nothing they could do. I was then charged the same rate for a super loft suite, even though I was not in one. I was told I would be given free breakfast coupouns and never received them.
I was greeted by very friendly helpful and accomidating staff , very refreshing after staying in rooms in every province , will look forward to return visit for pleasure. thanks again Barry Wedel.P.S. would like to thank Meagan in particular.
When i arrived to check in on Oct10 @1:15pm, i was told my room wasn't ready, to come back later. I said I'd be back later, after a wedding I was attending. I arrive back at the Georgetown Inn around 12am to find the doors locked!! I look around and find a note on a window saying the front desk is only open 8am-10pm. No one had informed me when I was checking in, that the front desk closed at 10pm. This being the Thanksgiving holiday, there were no other hotels that had any rooms. I had to drive back to Edmonton. I just got off the phone with a Kayak rep. who has been trying to get a hold of the manager at the Georgetown Inn without any success, this is the second day they have tried to talk to the manager. The rep just informed me the the front desk said I looked at the room, but said I didn't like it!! I didn't even see the room because I was informed the room wasn't cleaned!! Now someone at the front desk is lying, very disappointing.
I really enjoyed the comfortable bed and the warm and friendly staff!! Thanks so much for your hospitality. nothing, only my name is not Da it is Dawn but for some reason it shows up as Da.Thanks again!
The location was easy to access, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was not fancy but comfortable and clean.
I liked the location for walking my dog and close to amenities plus the staff were exceptionally friendly.it was a wonderful, relaxing, scenic visit as usual. I was satisfied with the lodge.it was well rated.
We appreciate you dog friendly enviroment and the welcoming enviroment
The rooms were too hot. Had to immediately open doors and windows to allow the 3 degree outside air to get in and cool the place down.
Pleasant and courteous staff, attractive and clean accommodation. You could be a litle more generous with the tea, coffee, Sugar & Milk in rooms, Also you need a kettle to make good tea!!
Outstanding boutique hotel situated within walking distance of anything you would like to see in Canmore. Beautiful bright sitting and dining areas, very clean, quaint rooms with antique feel. DOES NOT FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IN A COOKIE-CUTTER HOTEL CHAIN. Very relaxed, friendly, helpful staff. Outstanding breakfast, menu changes daily. Cannot recommend or rate highly enough. Loved it
Very Comfortable No Continental breakfast like the United States
Condition of hotel/room was as expected for a Holiday Inn - good, clean, comfortable, quiet, above average No newspaper available in morning, no coffee available in lobby, breakfast option not made available. Business has taken me to approx. 6 different hotel chains in past month - Holiday Inn only hotel that didn't offer the above items.
Nice Staff. Very clean and quiet hotel. 2 baths is nice.Sitting room away from bedroom. The Mrs. liked the curtains. A very nice stay for a reasonable price. Fully recommended. no negative issues.
