Clean, spacious, courteous staff. Manager handled a mini-crisis (my son got sick after dinner) with understanding. We had booked a family room but were instead given a double with a cot (although not identified as such.) At 6'2" my son is too big for a cot. It broke within minutes of being set up. Only after my request did we receive a reduced rate on the room (to the more appropriate double rate). We were not informed that reserved tables in the restaurant were for hotel guests and so we went to the the bar for dinner. It would have been nice to have been told so we could have dined with the other guests. Staff told us the minigolf required only a deposit for the clubs. The manager, instead, charged a rental fee.
The Station is a busy Hotel/pub good atmosphere, good food and comfortable rooms.
Traditional local pub with friendly atmosphere. Quiet accommodation with all mod cons and easy car parking. Good food and real ales.
All staff were very courteous and friendly - couldn't do enough to help. Nice, cosy place, handy for all tourist sites. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
Friendly helpful staff and the quality of the food, both dinner and breakfast, selections of beers was also good.
The location met our requirements as we were meeting friends. The staff were helpful in providing electric heating as the room was cold when we arrived.Overall a good weekend.
The room was spacious, and the food in the attached inn was excellent.
Staff considerate and helpful.
Friendly, attentive staff, and great food
Very good value. Excellent size of room. Excelent breakfast None
its location no shower in room, got another room but it was next to extractor fan for kitchen so room smelt of chip fat. breakfast poor
The helpful staff. No
needs an update
the way we were dealt with the staff.they were rude and unprofessional. one of our rooms smelled of stale fat from the kitchens. on booking were told we had a room with a bath and got one with a shower.
. . Experienced ,along with other guests, the most rude and offensive watiress at breakfast that we have ever come accross.
free access to the club needs an uplift, looked old. staff could be a bit more informative, tried to charge us £160 each when it was for 2 rooms. food was awful.
At least we had a roof over our heads. Even if it was a stags head! The hotel parking was a 200 metres away which very inconvenient as it was raining during our stay. Kettle had limescale and wasntw working. Bed side lamp wasnt working. I tried to call hotel staff but no one was available. The pub should have been closed by 2am and there were a few people making lots of noise near the entrances. Unfortunately my room was above the enterance.
We found the hotel in a very convenient position in Bowness. It also had a very lively bar with a great atmosphere, and a night club if you fancy. We were warned about the noise from the pub and club but never heard anything from our room. Breakfast was lovely. We will definately be visiting again. The room was lovely and airy, but i hate to say it, could have done with being a bit cleaner.
location no shower
The location There were four couples in our party and only one had a shower in their room, there was nothing mentioned about no showers, just that an on suite was in every room, this should be made more clear, knowing this we would have booked an alternative hotel.
Staff were excellent Rooms were tired and needed a refresh and didn't like sharing a toiletQ
Good food and excellant service Room decor and furniture rather tired. Good bed
very close toamenitiesand shops Didnt really get a very personal welcome. When I complained about window of room letting all of the hallway light in, the lady did not seem interested in my complaint and said I should have turned the communial light off. Was not particularly impressed with the helpfulness of staff, I think B&B's and hotels should offer the highest of customer service.
In town centre and had parking. Staff was not friendly Facilities wer below standard. No shower gel or soap in bathroom, single glazed, no shower, had only bath.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served fast and well cooked. Very comfy bed too No shower, toilet not in best condition
staff were friendly rooms were shabby, crockery unwashed, didn't appear clean. Had to ask for drink provision in room. staff entered room for personal items during late evening without knocking, using key. Bar was in fact a dining room with no where to have a drink
Great location for the station. Good breakfast but I was a little too hung over to do it justice. I booked it but managed to give my friends the room with the 4 poster ;)
The food is out of this world, lovely shared bathrooms
Good Location, Big bed, Parking. The guy serving breakfast is excellent very helpful, very informative. Expensive, typical Lake District prices.
nothing the room, the hotel
