6.3 Good
Pros: Mama Clare! She cares and will share any of her insights with you and take care of anything that you need! Despite all the building work that is going on around there, the place itself still is quite tranquil and peaceful
Cons: It's such a shame what has happened in Sihanoukville, Otres Beach and Otres Village!!!!!! The whole place is a huge building site and it's totally ruining the atmos! This is of course not at all Mama Clares' fault so if you find yourself in these parts of the world, this is as good a place as any to rest your head for a night!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: special experience...
Cons: the surroundings
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clare is very nice to me. Her service is so good. I like it. A bartender near the property also says the place is very good, service is very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect! The host Clair is very friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly host, Clare, made the most part of the reason why we stay there happily for 3 nights. The place fits with simple and nice facilities such as great tree house style of guest house with an hammock below, and awesome garden.
Cons: Nothing much to complain about the place except mosquitoes during evening which is we've expected before we booked the place. Tips: bring along some mosquito repellent / lemon grass spray would help
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The bungalows are basic but clean and comfortable. There is a nice atmosphere in the garden, and Clare is a wonderful host.
Cons: Otres these days is probably not at its peak of beauty. There was a bit of noise during the day, from constructions nearby.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really beautiful, River front bungalow was perfect, I stayed in wet season so there were a few mosquitoes around, just bring your preferred repellant, Clare is a wonderful host, helpful, friendly and caring. Nearby Restaurant and bar was really great. Far enough out of Sihanoukville to avoid all the construction noise, a short stroll to Otres Beach.
Cons: It was wet season when I stayed, so lots of water under foot.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Host is really nice. The hostel is set in a small pocket of quietness.
Cons: Basically shiisnoukville
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This property is so much nicer than in the pictures. Every detail has been thought about and the little tree houses are fabulous. Clare is such a lovely lady and welcomed us personally and took time to talk to us about local area etc. We really enjoyed our short stay at Mama Clare’s and I would highly recommend this accommodation if you are staying in the area.
Cons: Sadly the surrounding area is under much development.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clare was an awesome host. Good for a chat and tips on where to go. Amazingly clean bathrooms. Rooms were just the right size. Comfy beds with mosquito nets n fluffy pillows. Wokeup in the morning to cofeee already brewed. If I were to go back to otres I would definitely stay here again. It made our otres trip super awesome. Thanks Clare. Sending you positive energy :)
Cons: Nothing!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the workers there! Cozy and cool environment
Cons: Little far from beach but we didn’t mind the walk
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Our little bungalow was lovely!! It was extremely clean and generally felt well cared-for. Breakfast was cheap too - $1.50 for eggs on toast, and free coffee :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome from Manon and her team. A Great place to feel at home !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely bungalows, free coffee and water, and a wonderful host (Manon) and staff make Om Home one of the few remaining great places to stay in Otres village. The bungalows, set in a pretty garden, are well-proportioned, simply furnished and spotlessly clean. I very much enjoyed my time at Om Home and will definitely stay again. Chinese development is in the process of changing Otres from a sleepy beachside 'paradise' into something of a mini Chinatown, but the village still has some great Khmer and Western restaurants / bars, and Otres beach (just a five-minute walk from Om Home) is still breathtakingly beautiful, especially when the sun is shining.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely but step outside OmHome and there are construction vehicles blocking the road. The noise wasn’t an issue for me but rather the inconvenience of it to walk outside
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a small oasis in town Breakfast was cheap
Cons: At the moment are a lot of constructions everywhere in Sihanoukville.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Myself and my partner absolutely loved Om Home. The staff were amazing! They made us feel totally at home and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The property is made up of bungalows, with a lovely sheltered communal area where people can have a beer or coffee and just chill in a comfy chair and enjoy the tranquility that Om Home has to offer, whilst the construction works in the surrounding area are going on. The bungalow we stayed in was very clean. The bathroom was big and shower was amazing! The bed was comfy and the bungalow was spacious. The place has a communal kitchen that you can have FREE DELICIOUS COFFEE!!!!! And free drinking water as well as beers and soft drinks for $1! It was great to just chat to the staff and get to know them. There warmth and friendliness made us very grateful we picked this place to stay. If you’re in Sihanoukville.. You would be stupid not to stay here. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.
Cons: We have nothing negative to say about the property at all!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner Manon is absolutely incredible and very accommodating! The morning coffee (and conversation) was a huge plus. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it was a decent value for the price
Cons: There is nothing the owner/staff could do about it, but the entire area in and around Otres Beach is littered with rubbish and there is noisy construction everywhere
7.0 Good
Pros: The room is spacious and the property itself is nice and green
Cons: Chinese moved after they took sinehoukvill now also to otres beach so the roads are destroyed and muddy and everywhere construction is going on. Its a pitty caus ethe beach itself is still beautifull. But everything else is now a building site and almost all "original/western" restaurants, resorts etc are either already taken over by chinese or are for sale. This is in no way om homes fault. but its something to keep in mind
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We felt super welcome from the first day. Manon and her staff helped us to book our nightbus and even arranged hotel pick up for us. If felt like a home away from home. We enjoyed staying at Manson’s little oasis.
Cons: Everything was perfect.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the great customer service. The delicious food, the pool and all the amenities. The bed was very comfortable and I loved that they helped me with a taxi from the airport and to Kampot. I will definitely stay here again.
Cons: I didn’t like that you can’t swim at the beach but that has nothing to do with the hotel.
7.0 Good
Pros: Campus, staff and food are so good. I really recommend to anyone should try all of restaurant’s menu. Hoss and her staff are so so lovely and cute. I love rainy morning and strong wind. However the road to come resort is genuinely terrible and environment was full of trash. I think everyone just should go there if the road built completely and no Chinese around this area.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner of this property was fantastic. She was very helpful along with her staff. The food and drink was good and the pool was excellent. I liked also that across the road on the beach the staff served you drinks and food and provided you with chairs and umbrellas.
Cons: I couldn’t fault the place just the location. Sihanoukville is very dirty and full of Chinese construction everywhere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and hospitable. They made us feel so welcome. Thank you x
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great effort by hotel to clean the beach every day.
Cons: It's not the fault of the owner that it's a little paradise in a surrounding of invasive China construction. We must support what we like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean Room. beautiful ambiance in and outside of rooms. nice Restaurant
Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is an authentic Asian resort!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean and tidy with a good pool area. Great food and friendly staff. They have made an effort with the beach in front but unfortunately no one else has!
Cons: Not a hotel issue but Sihanouk is been destroyed by uncontrolled development and an unbelievable amount of rubbish. really just a stop over to head to the islands.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Professional stuff, amazing pool inside. Its close to the beach but that beach isn’t so good comparing to others in Sihanoukvile. Beds and other facilities are so comfortable. Definitely good choice.
Cons: Beach in front of hotel is dirty, but that’s not about hotel. Everything in hotel was very very good.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This town is experiencing an unexpected amount of building work - this hote was a little haven away from the dust !!
Cons: Nothing this hotel was beautiful with friendly staff and beautiful facilities - we were only on a stop over but I loved the hotel for our stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: SO beautiful and clean! I was nervous about spending a night in Sihanoukaville as driving through the city I really questioned the cleanliness over the city overall. But this place is like a little haven, safe, relaxed and beautiful
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It's a great hotel and ideally located above Sihanoukville which is a complete building suite as of June 2019. The hotel was peaceful, and the staff were very kind and really helped us out.
Cons: The rooms were comfortable but felt a little basic. One thing to note so you are not surprised: there is a kettle, cups but no tea and coffee provided. Reception confirmed that tea and coffee isn't provided in the rooms as standard.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked that u were away from the dirty dusty town in a nice clean quiet environment. Pool was nice , rooms were nice and comfortable. Staff were friendly and really helpful.
Cons: The distance it was from the town , and trying to get back to the hotel late at night and tuk Tuks not knowing where the hotel was .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This place is a breath of fresh air away from the dusty building site of the entire city. The pool is amazing,
Cons: The beds are hard and you can feel all the springs
8.8 Excellent
Cons: One dog very aggressive, expecially at night if you turn home. Take care, expecially if you are with children.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I like receptionist and all staffs
Cons: The smell for anti-mosquitoes chemical in the room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Strictly speaking no property can correctly be rated as excellent, but Port Hedonia ticks so many of the boxes it must. The breakfast was excellent The room was extremely comfortable. The restaurant is equal to or better than any in town. Very good pool in great surroundings. Above all the staff were very friendly and very helpful. It truly is an Oasis that makes coming to Sihanouk worthwhile.
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: The nearby town is a disgusting dump so was good to stay in an area outside of town. The pool was great. Good variety of food in the restaurant. Room and bathroom was spacious and clean.
Cons: I paid by credit card and was charged a 5% fee, which they put down to the bank but everywhere else in Cambodia it had been only 3% so felt it was a bit of a rip off. Food was a bit expensive. I ordered a beef dish and the meat was as hard as boots. Lots of bugs, so you definitely need spray. The jug in the room didn't switch off, it just boiled away, so potentially dangerous.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: This might be the cleanest hostel Ive stayed in... ever! It was spotless. The bathrooms were so well decorated and stocked of things you might need too. The beds were super comfy as well. After many days on the islands it was also very nice to enjoy an evening watching a movie on the TV they have in the common area.
Cons: The food was average at best. We had the tom yam soup which was more like spicy water and the vegetables with rice... the rice was over cooked and mushy. For the price that you pay at this hostel you would expect better options with the food. This has nothing to do with the hostel but Sihanoukville is under a lot of construction so the location of the hostel right now isn't very appealing. However, when the construction is finished I think it will be a prime spot - walking distance to the beaches (right now the beach seemed flooded with trash and construction supplies)
7.0 Good
Pros: very clean bedrooms with nice bathrooms
Cons: Very expensive for a dorm bed, breakfast should be included considering the price, should have a no smoking policy by the pool
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff working here are really nice and welcome. It’s a good place in the middle of a weird city. Beds are confortable, and there is an open swimming pool to relax. And it’s not so far from the pier to take the boat to Koh Rong islands.
Cons: What I didn’t like is just the city around. We had to walk in the middle of the garbage to come there, but it’s independant from the hostel. Nothing bad to say about the hostel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Hostel, the best place to ne in this City.
Cons: The City, but that's not the Hostels fault
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff working here are really nice and welcome. It’s a good place in the middle of a weird city. Beds are confortable, and there is an open swimming pool to relax. And it’s not so far from the pier to take the boat to Koh Rong islands.
Cons: What I didn’t like is just the city around. We had to walk in the middle of the garbage to come there, but it’s independant from the hostel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is the best thing I've seen in this town, its unexpectedly clean and welcoming. Also there is a great italian/pizza place across the roundabout from the hostel.
Cons: Sihanoukville is not a nice place, essentially a few square miles of construction site. Not somewhere to stay for long unless you want to go to chinese casinos which seem to be the only buildings that are finished there...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: I love it
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The facilities offered by the hostel, specially the swimming pool
Cons: Sihanoukville is not a beautiful city to stay only if you go to the island.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous place to stay!

6.3 Good
Pros: Food was good. Pool was nice but small and needed to be filtered after the rain. Huts were comfortable.
Cons: It was located right beside a mound of muck, and the roads leading to it were almost impassable. The whole town was horrible, filthy and polluted. Also there was lizards in our room and frogs outside.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Normal room
Cons: Horrible location, so far from the centre and the surrounded area in construction, bad smell and a lot of mosquitoes
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was clean and the area was nice and quiet, in the middle of the construction site named Sihanoukville.. Good value for money though.
Cons: Whilst we were trying to check-in staff was busy with a million other things so that took a while. Our room flooded due to obstructed drainage in the shower. Staff were not really helpful in solving the issue, probably due to language barriers..
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting was beautiful particularly when in the restaurant ... and the staff were amazing. The air conditioner was not working at 100% and could not be fixed immediately. The staff offered us another room but we could not be bothered to move as it was not that uncomfortable. When we got back from the beach they apologized profusely for entering our room without permission but had disconnected an air conditioning unit from another room and replaced ours with it. That kind of sums up the service here - in the restaurant and all around. Our apologies for not just moving rooms. We had no idea the work we were about to cause.
Cons: Touch of mildew smell in the room but our stay was just at the end of the rainy season so I'm not sure if it could be helped given the water and humidity everywhere. We would definitely go back here given the food, the service, and the value.
6.3 Good
Pros: It’s a little oasis among the filth that surrounded this place. Small fairly clean swimming pool. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: We had a continental breakfast which consisted of eggs, bacon, bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms. The mushrooms tasted off to me so I thought I’d leave it, but my husband ate his and by lunchtime he had diarrhoea. There was no way he could have gotten food poisoning from other sources because he hadn’t drink or ate anything in between. So definitely he got food poisoning from the hotel restaurant.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about this resort. It was wet season so very muddy but that's the fun of Sihanoukville. Lots of construction due to the chinese taking over the city but this was like a little oasis we didn't need to leave. Staff were awesome, room and pool was great. It was really handy having the restaurant and food available from morning til night. Would stay again for sure.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: All staff are friendly. Room and resort itself very nice and comfortable
Cons: Everything is good
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Just want the pick service, becuase when I went there I confused a lot wrong direction in map.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: For the price it's worth it and thanks to the friendly staff during mine stay.
Cons: More sign to guide guests to the resort will be nice!
6.8 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Good bed. Nice garden.
Cons: Sihanoukville is a horrible place. Do not go here.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Stayed here 2 years ago, cute hotel with good facilities. Friendly polite stay.
Cons: Otres village and beach is gone for ever thanks to it being totally destroyed by the Chinese development. It’s disgusting and a total health hazard. Only stay if you have to.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: It's a paradise from the chaos in the city, when I was there I felt welcomed and always comfortable. The owners and staff were all very nice and the room itself was very comfortable (really big fluffy pillows!!!) and very clean. Breakfast was also very good.
Cons: The location was a little bit far from other restaurants and other things but nothing to inconvenience.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: we like the room and the the river near the canteen.
Cons: the hotel itself is no problem, but the surrounding area is really bad, not much to do and not many eating options available.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was nice, cozy and comfortable. German couple who run it, absolutely lovely people!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Owner was awesome. During our stay weather caused the ferry to the islands to stop running. We showed up late, hungry and stuck. The proprietor made calls to have a kitchen stay open for us so we could have western food that night. Next day weather was even worse so we decided to make our way to Phnom Penh, once again last minute calls were made while I drank a beer and everything was taking care of for us. Great place, great people that turned a tough travel day into an easy and enjoyable experience.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The restaurant in the next door hotel. The beach across the rd.
Cons: Attitudes of management. Breakfast wasn’t as it was advertised on booking.com. Restaurant wasn’t open. Bad tv, owner said bad reception but it was faulty connections. Ran out of some food & toiletries ie shampoo & body wash. Dirty pool. In general poor management.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Gerard the owner was brilliant-we arrived late as there was a traffic accident so we missed an evening meal but he kindly prepared a lovely tuna sandwich. He also took us to the ferry port. It poured down for our entire brief stay here.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good size breakfast included
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Kristen the German manager is excellent. She looked after everything we needed she is very friendly and helpful the room and bathroom very clean compared to other hotel in Cambodia
Cons: Nothing

7.5 Good

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful boutique hotel at a wonderful beach, nice rooms and helpful personell
Cons: Sihanoukville is unfortunately not a lovely city due to construction work everywhere and a lot of garbish is laying around
5.5 Okay
Pros: We booked a nice room that looked down along the pool and to the beach and we’d have enjoyed it but for other factors.
Cons: It’s a nice, well kept hotel but in the middle of a development incursion that has turned it into a tip site with ruined roads everywhere. There is actually nowhere nice to walk (where the hotel is) and not much to do, particularly if you get a bad day. The sea is brown with mud after rain as the developments have ruined the landscape. There are almost no trees to be seen to hold the soil together.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice boutique hotel with helpful staff and nice rooms. The pool is right in the middle of the courtyard, pleasant to swim in but can be a little noisy if you're in one of the ground floor rooms. I loved the restaurant which had great Western and Khmer (with a modern twist) food and was small and cozy. I got a ticket for two complimentary cocktails at check in and the cocktails were excellent! So it was a nice touch. There's also a good small but very useable gym.
Cons: Not the hotel's fault of course, but Sihanoukville is absolutely horrendous, brimming with garbage and destroyed by endless construction. Even the journey to the hotel from the port was a total nightmare with massive potholes and flooded roads. I would never return to Sihanoukville but if I was forced to return, I would choose to stay at this hotel. At least it's not too far from the airport, so you can escape quickly.
6.8 Good
Pros: The in house restaurant was great. The rooms we stayed in were spacious and the AC worked well.
Cons: It was obviously quite new, the toiletries were spare - for example there weren’t bath salts despite having a bath on the balcony (which was the feature that drew me to the hotel). The location was hard to get to from the main town as it was half hour by car - it would cost us a lot of money to get back there.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a night here on our way home. The staff are very friendly. We had a lovely large room with a v comfortable bed and very good shower and air conditioner. We had lunch and dinner and enjoyed both a lot and the breakfast was generous and fantastic with coffee, smoothie, buffet of fruit etc and an a la carte selection. It was the best breakfast we had in our three week Cambodian trip!
Cons: The pool was in the middle of the building and very hot with no shade so not inviting. As others have said, what is happening at ottres beach and Sihanoukville is very sad as there are Chinese companies tearing down every building and building casinos and huge apartment blocks. The place is a dust bowl, filthy and completely ruined I fear! The beach directly in front of the hotel is well cared for but the area will not have the infrastructure to deal with the massive numbers to come! Changed forever to its detriment.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean, bright, spacious
Cons: Nothing except that Sihanoukville is a building site
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really great customer service and great room options. Really loved the personal note that was on my bed from the manager. The breakfast was full of options and tastes so good. I reccomend the eggs Benedict. Just an all around great experience. Also, it was perfect because i was taking the boat to koh ta kiev and the pick up point is right across the street.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: One of the best stuff we ever meet. So kind and helpful in every situation. Everything about the hotel was great. Also the food was really nice.
Cons: Nothing to do with the hotel, just little advice for another visitors. Be careful with mosquitoes, there are so many and we got bitten so bad on our trip to Island Koh Rong. Bring a lot of repellents.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the ambience.Very relaxing and pleasant staff.Nice nature stone pool and walking to the beach.Sunbed under the trees.
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: Hotel was clean and well managed. The location and immediate area around the hotel were truly awful. A public health hazard.
Cons: Location was disgusting. Not the hotels fault but we simply could not stay in such an environment.

Pros: We only stay one night on our way back from Koh Rong. The hotel is very clean, the staff is very nice. For one night is exactly what we needed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Resort food is amazing! Staff were excellent and rooms were very spacious.
Cons: Not much around the resort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are amazing!!!
Cons: Brilliant resort
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great Staff. Warm welcome . As clean as expected. There is no point in staying in this town for more than one night. Saw some previous reviews complaining the pool wasn't clean? It was cleaned in the evening and morning when we were there. I believe they use salt water so maybe that's why it isn't crystal clear. Found no issues swimming in it. Don't even try and leave the hotel. Seriously it's not worth it. Stay relax and move on. Were helpful in organising our boat tickets and collection by bus. Overall despite the shock and horror of the town an enjoyable and value for money stay.
Cons: Had booked in for 2 nights before heading off to the islands. Can imagine this being a picture perfect location close to the beach prior to near dystopian futuristic hell like you would see in a sci fi movie. Think Bladerunner/Gotham city. This once peaceful town has been bought by the Chinese. Anything of historical importance or indigenous charm has been bulldozed to make way,at the last count for over 40 casinos. Environmental and social damage to make you weep. Don't expect to stay anywhere in this town and have an enjoyable time now you are aware of the facts. Putting all that aside I have few complaints about The Sea Breeze Resort. Had originally booked for 2 night but being confronted by the horror of the town on arrival there was no issue on just staying the one night. Staff were friendly and efficient. Apologetic about the surroundings outside their domain. Must be heart breaking to see the devastation taking place to what must have been an beautiful resort.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The resort was a great way to escape the ruined area. Staff where great and the pool and bar ideal to relax
Cons: The way that development has ruined area outside of the resorts control
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Small rooms but clean and functional. Silent AC. The minibar was a nice touch. Nice pool, pleasant restaurant area. But here is the truly interesting part : no construction nearby at the moment. Yes you'll enjoy some quiet ! This is pure gold considering the state of the city. Very acceptable for a layover in Sihanoukville on the way to the islands or back. Also, Otres beach is completely deserted by tourists and businesses but it was surprisingly clean. Worth mentionning since the other beaches in the area are disgusting. (all of them Victory, Occheutal, Sokha and Independance). Also Khmer owner, support local businesses !
Cons: Only thing I didn't like was the room doors. They are like terrace double doors and they close but there's always a gap which means that you hear loud and clear whats going on outside... And don't be mistaken, the rooms in the back are very very close to each other. I guess the food could be better too but no big deal it was alright.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely pool. Great restaurant. Pretty cheap. Everything great
Cons: The road outside it bumpy, maybe not suitable for older people
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful resort with many palm trees and good size swimming pool, which is cleaned every day. Its looks just like on photos, the wifi is reallly good, the hotel is located right next to the beach, rooms are big and clean with a nice terrace, food in the restaurant is amazing, all the staff are smiling and always there to help, especially Nataliya, the manager from Ukraine, special thanks to her. The location is perfect, its quiet, nice and clean beach but still having some small shops, bars and restaurants walking distance, if you would like to go to the busy and dirty Chinese town (sihanoukville), it take aprox. 15-20 minutes by taxi and costs from 7-10 USD. For me it was perfect stay, the best hotel for the price and I would definitely come back again and recommend it to someone else.
Cons: The hotel street is really in bed conditions all muddy and huge holes in it, but that is everywhere in this area so I am sure it will get better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great. Be it the restaurant or around the hotel. Very well maintained and clean. Breakfast was yummy. We had a great time overall.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful room with great view of the beach. Lovely pool area and restaurant on the beach. A stylish hotel with friendly staff and making the most of the beach that is directly in front of them. Helpful with organising transfer to the islands. Thanks Stuart and team for great food, stories and fantastic mojitos!
Cons: As all the reviews have alluded to, Otres is in a state of flux and being redeveloped with casinos and apartments, so the area surrounding the hotel is not what it once was! Further on, the city of Sihanoukville is a terrible sight! A dumping ground of Rubbish, demolition and new builds!!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Spacious room with fresh decoration. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The shower gel smells like old. The back street is full of garbage.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Property is really nice, breakfast is great
Cons: Surroundings are terrible, a lot of rubbish, muddy roads, shanty towns, construction works and dangerous to walk alone after sunset. The only clean beach was the spot belonging to the hotel. Taxi from/to airport was $25 when booked at the hotel frontdesk, far more expensive than booking it at the airport.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast is order-based. That is good because we can eat fresh and nice taste.
Cons: But the room was not that clean as we expected. because we can find dust on the bed and around the corner of the bed. In my opinion, the room should be re-clean before the guest arrived if it was clean 1 or 2 days ago. And I don't know why the receptionist need to take photo of every members in the room when we check in? I already gave him my ID for check in, but he asked to take photo of everyone.
7.5 Good
Pros: The Naia resort is nice - probably REALLY nice comparing it to the surrounding options. Perhaps it is the season, but it wasn't very busy. The rooms are average, but the breakfast was amazing! The pool was nice, but I didn't use it as it way raining.
Cons: You should know the surrounding area isn't very nice - very muddy and lots of construction going on - didn't leave the area. I was traveling alone and didn't feel like it seemed like a place to just walk around. I had a room that was closest to the main road and it was quite loud. The air conditioner in my room made a very loud noise when running, so I had to just use the fan. Allot enough time when checking out - It took the reception area 20 minutes to prepare my bill. I had a taxi waiting and was trying to get to the airport. Perhaps this was a glitch, but I would give yourself 20-30 minutes when trying to leave.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: All good
Cons: The wifi was weak in the rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful booking transport, amazing buffet and a la carte breakfast. Beautiful resort aesthetic and good for friends, families and couples alike. Amazing view and spacious, clean rooms.
Cons: The resort is based in an area under development. Expect the bumpiest ride of your life anywhere one step out of the resort and a minimum $7usd to get to non-hotel based services. The restaurants nearby are touristy but very good value for money with great serving sizes and options. Just know venturing out at night involves intense mud, no street lighting and stray dogs lingering.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very nice! Not too big and cozy. Everything was quite new and nice decorated and designed. Mostly it was very quite and relaxing. The pool was perfect and the room very clean. Beds were comfortable and we had a small balcony. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was nice and delicious !
Cons: The hotel wasn’t too good located. It was far away from downtown and the area around didn’t seem very safe. That’s why we avoided it to go outside of the resort. The beach was very small. Normally we mostly stay at the beach, but in this resort we just kept staying at the pool. The food, except the breakfast, wasn’t very good...

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great and accommodating..they make you feel at home! The dorms and hammocks both are sea facing..great view to wake up to! Everything is kept clean! Toilets are basic but perfectly usable! Had a great time on the island!! Also..if you are staying for a few days..they let you do a free run to the mainland if you need to restock on snacks or go to the atm which is awesome!
Cons: The food was okay, not bad.. slightly expensive but the serving was very generous. Tip: They charge a dollar a day for unlimited drinking water so add that in your mind to the price for a room before booking!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you want to get lost off the grid for a while then this is the perfect place. No electricity, no running water, no other resorts open on the island in low season. Sleeping in a treehouse in the jungle surprisingly gave me some of the best nights' rest I've ever had. The staff were amazing and become like family, as did the other guests - was always sad when someone left. Food is good and the beer is cold. Stayed 8 nights in total and really wanted to stay more. Real desert island stuff. 10/10 would go here again!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Go and swim in the bioluminescent plankton it is incredible!!! And don't jump of elephant rock if the surf is up as it isn't safe!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place to stay on the beach. Super laid back atmosphere. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Really cool to sleep in huts on the beach
Cons: Would be nice to have an actual toilet like the other resorts instead of the squat toilet.. But you are on a secluded island with little amenities, so don't expect a 5 star resort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this resort is nothing short of amazing. The staff are relaxed friendly and know how to make you feel at home. The food is phenomenal, you generally eat at the bar over looking the water. You will find magival nooks all over the resort. The beaches and sunset are beautiful. You can trek the life filled jungles and snorkel the reefs at your leisure, the locals have so much knowledge about the island and really friendly. There is something really special about this place, come take a step back to step forward
Cons: No parking....
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff here are great, everyone is super friendly and very welcoming, I was practically the only guest there so they kept me entertained! The dorm rooms have a beautiful view over the ocean, it's amazing to wake up and see the sun reflecting off the sea from my bed The whole island is beautiful, it's a great place to relax and walking around discovering untouched beaches, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an untouched paradise!
Cons: The facilities here are very basic, there's no running water, the electricity is only on for a few hours a day and there's definitely not Wi-Fi! (Although there is phone signal) But this is the same throughout the island, it's to be expected when you go to an island paradise...
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff, they care a lot about their guest, good food, chill atmosphere, nice location on the beach
Cons: Nothing to complain :)
6.8 Good
Pros: I really like the location in front of the ocean. The Bungalow flying fox was confortable and had very good views to the sea. Bucket showers had fresh water. The bar staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Cons: This Place is not really prepared for rainy season. Water came into the Bungalow during a strong storm. Also not much to do when is raining. So much trash in the beach (not the property's fault, actually they give you a free beer if you do some clean up). We came in July and ten103 was the only place open in the island. So got a bit bored of going all the time to the same restaurant. Food at the restaurant was a bit expensive and portions/content was not consistent. We gave valuables (money, passports) to be kept in their 'safe box' and they were returned completely wet. When we pointed that to the staff, one of them got a bit defensive stating that all his stuff got wet too, which I think is very unprofessional.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location by the sea, bungalow has wonderful view on the sea and beautiful place for sunset views. Excellent restaurant with exquisite food ! The chef is amazing. The staff was amazing, the nicest, most helpful and most fun I have had in a long time. Really enjoyed my time there.
Cons: I thought the bungalow was a bit expensive for what it was. The bungalow is really basic so it does not really justify the price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is paradise!!! My wife and I ended up staying 14 nights in a bungalow over the beach and couldn’t be happier about it
Cons: The only downside is leaving the island at the end of your stay.

Pros: i stay there only one night everything was great, good view and fresh, all staff are friendly and hopeful, mostly Manager Mr. Sean he provided me with excellent service and breakfast are nice many options,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant, well run hotel. Excellent reception staff. Restaurant area runs next to the private beach, with a superb view out towards the sunset over one of the islands. Very pleasant poolside area. The 24/24 hr spa sounds good too, although we didn't have time to sample it. Most of the accommodation is across the road from the restaurant / casino part of the hotel, but there are plenty of hotel shuttles to take guests back and forth.
Cons: Queenco and the other few properties on Victory Beach are oases of cleanliness and tranquillity within the general squalor of Sihanoukville. It's not a good place to explore the surroundings on foot. Unless you are here for the casino, Queenco makes a good staging point for the ferry ports to the islands, but the city itself and the previous destinations of Serendipity, Otres etc. are now best avoided. Most things at Queenco were reasonably priced, but $25 for a hotel-organised transfer to the train station for two people was very expensive for a 2.9 km ride. By contrast the train tickets for the 227 km ride to Phnom Penh were only $8 each and we had the added excitement of a train crash!.
7.5 Good
Pros: We spent time at the beach and pool, and was perfect for relaxing. We didn't explore the local area much, and ate in the restaurant each night. Was great for 4 nights where we just wanted to relax.
Cons: Communication with staff was a bit difficult, communal area near casino smelt of smoke. Local area is developing.
7.0 Good
Pros: Lot of building work going on in the area - sea felt gritty - not the hotel's fault, just upheaval going on in the area just now.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: breakfast just on the beach, so as the swimming pool. very nice view. and it not noisy at night, which is good. there is a good staff in the front desk, who can speak English and Chinese very well, he helps a lot: call taxi, check in, check out, luggage... appreciation for his warm-heart work.
Cons: it is better if the staff have more smile.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing. I will not recomded any of my friends / family to this place.
Cons: Bad location not as per pictures. Construction works at the hotel, was very noisy. Dirty beach, bad breakfast, dinner was also not pleasant at the hotel. The hotel is situated far from great beaches. No near by food is available. If ur interested to gamble than this hotel is just for you. Guest even smoke in the lifts. Oh and be careful of your money, if your money is little bit dirty, the staff will not accept it, they told us that we can’t accept ur money which was USD 100 because it’s dirty! Stores near by only spoke mandarin and sell only items from China. Very bad experience. I will not recomded This place to anyone. The interior is bad, nothing relaxing.what we have experienced in Siem Reap was perfect. This hotel looks like Nirvana funeral parlour.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Breakfast and food
Cons: Sihanoukville is a big under construction area taken by Chinese investors and casino's

Pros: Exellent
Cons: Cleaned and customer services

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was very neat and clean and the staff was very helpful. They also serve a great breakfast!
Cons: Since we were to travel onwards the next day to Koh Rong island, the guesthouse was quite far away from the Royal Pier.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The staff were lovely, especially the lady who seemed to run all things domestic. Room cleaned with fresh towels and bedding daily.
Cons: Hot water was very hit and miss. Power was hit and miss. Pillows were so uncomfortable. A lot of noise from surrounding properties until 3am and the dust was everywhere, although this is out of there control. The photos are not true of the outside, there is no garden just a high brick wall
6.8 Good
Pros: The room was clean and the italian manager was friendly and helpful. They have a coffee shop downstairs with super tasty foods and coffee! We took pizza, pasta and had a good breakfast. It’s good if we are staying for transit.
Cons: As anyplace in Sihanoukville, everything is under construction. During the day we have a construction noisy. In the night, it was a bit loud due to the neighbors. The support for showers in the toilet was broken. Staff sometimes committed some mistakes in our order during the dinner, and they often ran out of food options.
7.0 Good
Pros: The Room and the bathroom Is OK.
Cons: the lock door is hard to unlock and the bathroom dont have hot water
8.8 Excellent
Pros: There's a pizzeria connected to this place
Cons: The location as the surrounding area is quite dodgy with all the constructions going on
6.8 Good
Pros: It is close to the beach and beach is very nice. Hotel doesn’t have anything special. Rooms are simple and clean.
Cons: There was small restaurant in hotel but seemed a bit pricey. Host was sometimes helpful but a bit grumpy and if I would compare him with host in other hotels I would say he isn’t so good in his job.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Guesthouse is clean, quiet, fantastic food, helpful staff, good value for money ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location near beach
Cons: Property is good but the area is a building site with the Chinese taking over and throwing up countless hotels and casinos. Paradise no more
5.8 Okay
Pros: The property had all the hallmarks of a good stay, great host great food and average rooms.
Cons: We were misled and the area surrounding the hotel is awful, it was loud, dirty, unsafe. No hotels should be allowed to be open in an area of this state. Very unfortunate because the hosts were great and clearly trying, but it was a best of a bad situation.

Pros: I like the staff in that hotel. Especially for the young male staff. He cares us a lot and give many helps
Cons: hotel shall give a address with more details. When I come to hotel from airport, I showed driver the google map guidance from booking.com. We were lost and spend 10 mins hung around the beach.
6.3 Good
Pros: The best thing about this place is the staff. Very friendly and helpful and can’t do enough for you.
Cons: The property itself is fine. Fairly basic but reasonable for the price. It’s a shame the surroundings (ie a building site) have ruined the immediate vicinity and make it less enjoyable.
6.3 Good
Cons: Road to hotel so dirty
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming staff who happy to help Clean room and bathroom Good wifi Free beer on arrival I feel for the owners as they are doing there best in a difficult situation. If you have stay In sihanoukville i would recomend here. There is some noise from construction but finished at 930pm and was quiet throughout the night.
Cons: The situation in sihanoukville is not ideal with contruction and rubbish everywhere although not the hotels fault and inside the hotel is clean and tidy.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Personal is friendly and they try to help you a lot. AC works well. Beds are big but not much comfortable.
Cons: Location is bad. Sihanoukville is really hideous, I am sorry to say this but it is true. The place is ruined by Chinese and I really don't understand that locals let this happend . Beach which is close to the accommodation is not good, lots of trash and dirty water. Rubbish everywhere around. Hard to find the accommodation, no signs on the main road. The road to the accommodation is destroyed muddy road. English of the personal is also not so good. The equipment itself of the room is sufficient, but it is really expensive what you get for the price. Because the room is really old, dark and outdated. Plus there were often problems with electricity and wifi connection.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were amazing!! They gave us so much information about Cambodia and suggestions on where to visit next. They offered us a complimentary beer on arrival which was a lovely touch. The WiFi was really good and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Cons: Unfortunately the surrounding areas are really not good as mostly consists of building sites and there is rubbish everywhere but this is what the majority of Sihanoukville is now like.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Do not choose this place for your stay in Sihanoukville !!!!! We went there for one night, before taking the boat to the islands. It was the rainy season so the weather conditions were quite bad (one hour stuck in traffic to get to the hostel - for only 8km from the city center), the hostel and all the bungalows were flood during the night, as a big storm lasted from 10pm to 6am. Of course you have to prepare to get wet during the rainy season, but the hostel staff didn't warn us to put our bags and belongings in a safe place. We woke up at 1am, 5cm of water in the room, all our things floating between the furnitures. No one came to wake us up, while the whole place was under water, even the garden and reception. It is a really a lack of professionalism and it could have change our night a bit, despite the flood. I really not recommend this place.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The people in the hotel is very friendly and hospitable. When I check in the room, they have the welcome drink, it's very caring. Specially everybody in hotel always smile and be enthusiasm. I really like this place.
4.3 Okay
Cons: The Bungalow was nice however you have to walk along a very dirty, wet and construction road to get to the bungalows which ruined our shoes. When we arrived we found ourselves to be right next door to a huge construction site, the owner informed us that the noise and work would stop at 9pm. However every night the work carried on until 11:30pm causing myself and partner to not be able to sleep till gone midnight. We were then woken every morning at 6:30am by the construction again. This significantly ruined our stay, not only because we hardly slept but we were charged a disgusting rate of $95 for 3 nights!! Definitely not worth the money!! We complained to the guy on reception who informed us that all his boss agreed was for us to change rooms which completely defeated the object as we would still be able to hear the same noises and only had 1 night left. We asked for some money back but never received a response from the owner regarding this. And to top it all off the last morning we opened our bungalow door to find a massive dog poo on the front door step!!

Pros: Location was good, nice beach area & cafe near by. Checking in and out was easy and the staff were helpful at reception.
Cons: There was mould & a hole in the ceiling, aside that the rooms were nice. The breakfast selection was poor & we found bugs all over the bread (we ended up getting breakfast else where). It is over priced, but the location was it's saviour, we spent alot of time on the near by beach & ate else where also.

Pros: Good pool area with warm water.
Cons: Very uninterested and unhelpful staff, terrible food, no one at the pool bar our whole stay,

Pros: Position
Cons: Noisy overpriced
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was alright but nothing special.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location, beach, room, pool is nice.
Cons: 95% of it patrons are Chines. Food is all Chines, language is a problem, I would recommend this hotel unless Chines as a place to stay 2 or 3 days. If you want to sample a small amount of Chines culture while there. But it is not over American friendly.
7.0 Good
Pros: The facility & pool were quite nice.
Cons: The staff cator to the groups of people & shut down the restaurant when the group is done no matter what time. Found it difficult to eat there. Also the price fluctuation as I stayed my price went up although the hotel had many empty rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: it was very nice place to stay
5.5 Okay
Pros: Good location close to good bars and resturants and better than some along Otres Beach.
Cons: This is a bit buyer beware - most things people have already said about the resort are true, noisy, rooms ok but pool very green - so not cared for properly, ambivalent staff and average breakfast.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice clean room, pool was nice & clean..2 min walk to the beach & bars
Cons: Pool bar wasn’t open, & when we asked to buy a drink by reception from their fridge they said no? Which was odd?

Pros: The lady was friendly
Cons: It was in the middle of a construction site
4.5 Okay
Cons: Avoid Sihanoukville all together at all costs, it appears the whole place is being re developed however in the mean time there is piles of trash all over, it smells very badly there are flies all over. There was so many mosquitoes in our room, we were provided with a net however it was full of holes so did not work. The room was very small, staff not very friendly.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: * Little girl who made my check-in * Free drinks because no one care about make customers pay
Cons: * 9$ for the smallest and dirtiest place ive ever seen * Bed not clean AT ALL (Bed Bugs, awfull smells of sweat) *Wanted to relax but someone pooped in the shower * Cannot sleep too noisy, cannot chill on the shared terrasse because there is a construction side at 3m. * Felt not safe at all because the door of my room closes with a padlock (padlock are selled with 3 Keys and you only got one..)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were really nice and clean, bed was comfy. We had a fridge, television and kettle and coffee. 5 minute walk to the beach. Mom and her family were so nice and welcoming, we sat and chatted with her for most of the night she’s so lovely and is happy to help you with all your needs. Food their is great we had a lok lak, Cambodia beer on draft and pool table - what more could you want.
7.5 Good
Cons: China construction over run too much...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Mom is so nice and friendly! She saved our luggage while we were on the island for 3 days and the crew there gave us lot of advices and help us come to the bus when our taxi driver cancelled last minute. Very friendly place I would definitely recommend.
7.0 Good
Pros: Only stayed 3 nights. Otres Beach is close by. Coffee was good. Only found other Otres Village bars road on my final night. Some decent restaurants about. Room very basic but it is a budget place. Nice bar far right end of Otres Beach - Captain Mike's (30 mins walk from property). Also MushRoom Point (15-20 mins) good food.
Cons: There are two places called Moms Kitchen in the village, and Moms Kitchen on the Beach. I didn't know this. Taxi took me to the On The Beach, and I was tired and never noticed. Obviously they don't have my booking. Then got a free lift to Otres village but couldn't find property. Asked people but nobody knows where it is. Paid taxi bike who took me back to the Beach Kitchen. Aaaaagghhhhh !! Paid a 3rd Tuk Tuk who then did take me to correct place. Lots of building work around area, so dusty and noisy a lot of the time.
6.3 Good
Pros: Not much really. The beds were alright but the bug nets were suffocating.
Cons: Constant construction across the road and the walls were very thin and the room stuffy. Would say great for a budget backpacker but doesn’t impress
6.8 Good
Pros: We were at the wrong location (Mom’s kitchen at the beach) but we could change our booking. The view of the sea is amazing since it is literally at the beach.
Cons: Due to change of booking price went up (x2). We accepted it due to it being late and us being tired. It was better to arrange the taxi to the airport by ourselves since the hotel would charge twice as much.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The air con bungalow rooms were very comfortable and clean. So nice to have air conditioning. Staff are super friendly.
