The service by the reception staff. also and the services of the shutttles. I was however disapointed that when i had an in roon service request - the card was not collected and when i went to the beach the shuttle there did not come to collect us.

The gentlemen at the help desk gave us false information.I asked him if the food was halaal.He replied by saying that there were two kitchens, one halaal & the other whatever.When I approached the executive chef,he told me that they had no halaal meals at the Lodge.

You are made to feel welcome and comfortable from the moment you arrive at reception. The level of service and professnalisism portrayed by all staff is exceptional. Also the food from breakfast through to evening dining was fantastic.

Difficult to provide a meaningful evaluation as I was there solely on business and spent very little time actually in the hotel. Within these confines would say that the best aspects were the comfort, architecture and decor, and exceptional staff service. Hot water in the shower took ages to come through.

For a beautifully decorated Hotel with comfortable rooms Staff did not know how to direct people to the hotel and the shower pressure was to low and only a trickle of water came out. Advertise a roof top pool but only used for functions - why advertise it if you can't use it.
location, free parking, staff were friendly and tried to sort out all the snags & problems (being a pretty new hotel) internet was apparently not free as advertised on your site, tv remote was too complicated even for me a gadget guru
All was fine I only stayed one night I did not like the fact that there was no safe in the room, and when I requested another gown nobody came.
The room was very nice and spacious. The service at breakfast was very caotic and unorganised (no supervision). Cleaniness was also lacking unfortunately.
Professionalism of the staff Limited viewing of dstv channel. Me and my family we love amongst other channel number 182 and the like but we were limitedto watch only 12 channels
The facilities were excellent, modern clean and in this regard we enjoyed the stay. 1. Upon Checking in, (We arrived about 13h50 on our check in day) the check in staff were in a dis-array and we were left feeling like intruders rather than guests. On the second day our room was not serviced by 16h00 in the afternoon. 2. breakfast it also seemed that the staff were not aware of the amount of guests as there were no plates and bowls available. This was a tad frustrating
Had a good stay. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a central place in Durban.

The room was absolutely gorgeous, very romantic. What a beautiful environment to share with someone I love so dearly! With the hotel beng empty with just a guest or two over the weekend, it was such a pity that we actually felt that. Tables weren't set properly in the mornings, it looks terrible to see three tables partially set and the others pushed to one side. Either you set a dinning area whether its quiet or not or dont open your hotel out of season. The music that was played was just what the young guy at your bar enjoyed, totally inappropriate music for a hotel environment, I did not appreciate eating breakfast in a club environment. We asked on arrival to have some drinks placed in our bar fridge, yes someone did come to the door shortly after we checked in but we didnt answer our door. No one bothered to go in after we had left for the evening.
New, neat and staff was friendly and professional. Toiletries was issued for one person and we were 2 guests. It was not re-issued the 2nd day. No shower gel was issued at all which is normally done at a 3 star place and this is a 4 star hotel.
I stayed as a businessman and enjoyed the facilities offered in an intimate and friendly setting although the hotel is not really a business hotel.The Value was fantastic as was the setting and it would be a stunning venue for young romantics.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms were luxurious and keot very clean. The view from the rooms which didnt have a seaside view were amazing. The food which was served was always wonderful.
The welcome, the quality of accommodation and the breakfasts were all superb and the help and advice offered by the management team was all very useful. As I was there for the rugby at the Absa Stadium, the only possible negative was the distance from town, although the location and neighbourhood more than made up for this.
Everything was good at The Sandringham - from the efficiency and frienfliness of the Management throught to the quality of the rooms and facilities. Only small comment is that the room we were allocated was on the small side - but still adequate and luxurious.
Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the staff were all excellent, would do anything for you to make your stay even better. Great location, a little out of Durban city centre but that suited us. The rooms were magnificent, home from home really. All in all a fantastic place to stay on your holidays.
Staff were always friendly, helpful, keen to assist and always on hand We were expecting a bath in our bathroom as per photos on internet, and at no point were we told we had to advise we wanted a bath, all photos reflected baths in on-suite bathrooms.

We've spent a 4-day week-end at Manaar House. The guest house itself is nice, clean and comfortable. We rented the Luxury self-catering appartment, and we had comfortably place for 5 persons, 3 adults and 2 children. 2 negative points : Located right behind the highway, so rather noisy, and not very close to the beach.
Reception and the help was excellent. Room and facilities is the room was good. No view. You look into a wall and another building outside.
Proprietors very helpful and attentive and the accomodation was of a high standard. Our stay was in one of the self catering units and the facilities were very good. Some noise intrusion from the nearby busy M4 road but thankfully this was confined mainly to daytime.

Our stay at the Manaar House was just spectacular and exceeded our expectations. This is a charming self-catering bed-and-breakfast. We stayed in the family two-story suite. The suite was spacious and well designed. All of the necessary amenities were available including kitchen facilities along with a washer and dryer. The hosts of the Manaar house (Jack and Mark) were extremely gracious and tended to all of details that made our stay extremely comfortable and enjoyable. Although we had originally booked it for our family of four, we had two additional family members join us during the trip at the last minute. Our hosts were quite accommodating and made the necessary adjustments to assure that we were comfortable. Located in a safe area. Internet facilities available but somewhat expensive.
