Aparthotel Vila Luz

Fantastic property. Very nice location, away from all the crowds. Breakfast was fantastic. Nice little pool to lounge by.

The air conditioner was not very cool in the room.

My partner and I loved our stay at Villa Luz. From even before arriving, staff were very helpful and quick to respond via email. They were also very friendly and polite at the hotel and were flexible and let us continue to use the facilities for the day despite checking out before midday. The breakfast was good and had something for everyone, healthy and more indulgent options! They also catered well for people with allergies and has vegan and lactose-free options. Our room was fantastic with a huge, comfortable bed with mattress topper. The little kitchenette was very handy to have too. The pool area is fabulous with parasols and shaded areas for those wishing to escape from the sun. The pool was great too and a welcome cool dip after getting hot in the sun. There was also underground parking for hotel guests, which we made use of. Finally we noted that the hotel was very accessible with lifts, panic alarms in the bathroom and above the bed, should they be needed. Everywhere either has ramp access or a lift. We stayed in early September for 2 nights and it was pretty quiet. No trouble getting your preferred sunbed or a table at breakfast. It also seemed to be a pet-friendly hotel as some people had brought their dogs. This wasn’t needed for us but might appeal to some. All were very well-behaved!

Breakfast isn’t served until 8.45 which does seem to be the case everywhere we stayed in Portugal. This is a little late for us but we went along with it and tried to relax and have a leisurely start to the day.

We were traveling with our dog and there is a great path on the cliffs over the water to walk.

Airy room on 1st floor, view to sea, pleasant, helpful, staff, great breakfast .

That we couldn't stay longer !
