Lake Charles Motels

I like the location I didn't like the coffee pot full of mold, the green water that filled up the jacuzzi tub, the sink didn't work and I was charged $109 by booking through Kayak but the check in desk was telling people $89 over the phone. What I received I would have expected at a $50 a night motel.

Staff was as helpful as they could be based on the buildings poor condition. Good location, easy to get to and close to lake and park. I had booked a room with two queens. They gave us a room with one king and sleeper sofa. The sofa had an odor that was enough to make you sick. Clerk gave us another room that someone else was in. Third room was bigger than first but still only had on king bed and sofa sleeper. At least it didn’t have a bad odor, but it didn’t have any sheets. Called down to get them but the only staff person was checking in people and no one could bring it up so again had to go down the very slow elevator to get it. Staff was very sorry for issues and stated the hotel had been sold and was going to be remodeled and would be better the next time we stayed. Told him there wasn’t going to be a next time. Breakfast was good except for the sponge eggs. They looked like a yellow sponge. You know what they say, if it looks like a sponge, tastes like a sponge, and is full of water like a sponge then it’s a sponge. I think they could have used them to clean the metal in the elevator with and it would look good as new. Just some advice to new owners.

Location of Great City Lake Charles, surroundings, and food choices Hotel had mold in the "shower", elevators service was extremely slow/rough, my Hotel card key failed twice, TV would not work properly although Hotel Clerk did assist with getting it to work. I would not recommend or consider this Hotel to anyone.

Location suited our needs. Dirty, dirty comforters -- 4 of them... Nothing special about the place at all. Included breakfast was basically awful.

Bar next door and sound was heard in room until 2am. Dirty room and nasty beds.

The room itself was relatively clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was way below par. The staff did not seem helpful at all. The motel outside the room needs cleaning, including power washing all the walks. I somehow had gained the impression the room had more than just a refrigerator; it didn't.

I like the fact that it had big rooms. .. inside of hotel is a lot better than outside location very bad. .. outside doesn't look attractive scary at night

Dirty bugs in bed moldy ac smelled of smoke in non smoking room

Ice machine and WIFI worked. This place is pretty ruff. I wouldn't feel safe bringing kids here. Everything is dated (old TV, bathroom is 70's lime green w/ water damaged ceiling). Bar was closed down but it might have been a blessing in disguise because you would probably get shanked if you hung out with the occupants of this establishment.
