Pros: Close to freeway
Cons: Yes. Staff dropped the ball and did not save us a crib and have it ready for us despite me calling in twice. We arrived in the middle of the night to no crib. Room was dirty and so were hallways and stairs. Dead and live bugs all over and trash.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: All of the staff, from the front desk women and men all the way to the cleaning ladies were all so friendly. Our room was very clean and if we needed anything at all the staff was eager to help or answer questions about the area. We will definitely stay there again when we are in the area.
Cons: Not a huge deal seeing how it is summer, but the hot tub wasn’t working properly. Other than that there were no complaints at all!!
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Did not stay...the non-smoking room smelled of smoke and the next room had a cockroach!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room spacious friendly staff
Cons: Was all good
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and breakfast.
Cons: Ice machine was broke. Fan in the bathroom was loud but at least it worked.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very courteous. Both the evening staff and the morning staff. They made sure we had towels available for the use of the pool. They allowed us to eat dinner in the kitchen area as we ordered pizza and did not want to eat that in the room. They gave us more towels as there was only 3 sets in the room for 4 people.
Cons: Still can not believe how much rooms are in this day and age. We are retired and took our grandchildren on a train ride in Colorado. All the rooms were high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, ceiling fan, and self control air conditioner, quiet even close to road, very comfortable home like feel. Bed, decent pillows had a good night's sleep. Easy check in and out. Typical breakfast, something to get you started, not write home about. Didn't use pool, but there were swimmers. Looked clean and also jacuzzi. Would stay again.
Cons: No elevator. Only 2 floors, but lugging luggage up stairs isn't easy. Limited plug units!
6.8 Good
Cons: The front desk is dysfunctional. It's either the software,, the clerk, or both. It took way too long to check in. The manager is bland to say the least; would rather be somewhere else. Plan on waiting around for the clerk to show back up at the front desk. The "I'll be right back" sign is open to interpretation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Huge clean rooms, great service with comfortable beds.

Cons: Moldy English muffins hit tub not hot pool too cold WiFi information not given correctly only one regular coffee

Pros: We were at a meet for my daughter all afternoon. It was between 106-111 deg. We were drained from the heat. We opened the door to our room and the air conditioning was cranking!! Felt sooooo good! Thank you for thinking ahead of your clients quality Inn!
1.0 Poor
Pros: Only the location was convenient...that was it.
Cons: This hotel was under construction and didn't even look like it was open upon arrival. Hazards everywhere with a 4 yr old in tow. The room reeked of cigarettes being a non-smoking room and stains were on the sheets and curtains. No breakfast either.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Very dirty. A construction guy came in my room 4-5 times to work in the bathroom. The door battery was out so I front counter said they would let me in and out of my room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was what we would expect. It would have been nice to have some meat like bacon or sausage. Coffee was very good.

Overview Reviews
Located in Lamar, Golden Arrow Motel is within a 5-minute drive of Big Timbers Museum and Lamar Community College. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really nice and the place was better than I thought it was going to be for the price. The room was cute and spacious.
Cons: I did not like the bugs but that is nature. That is something the hotel staff can not control but if you are afraid of beetles than this is not the place for you. If not than you will get a decent room for a decent price.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Big room.
Cons: AC very noisy. Kicked on and off constantly. Pipes were noisy when next door used the water. Very old fashioned.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Desk clerk made an effort to accommodate my fridge needs.
Cons: - No fridges in the single rooms. There is a shared kitchen that is available from 8am to 11pm. - TV... budget set up. No "info" option. No "guide" option. If you aren't local to Lamar, then you can only guess at what channel is what, and can only guess at what time any particular program started or will end. -Bugs in the room.. I don't know what it was but it woke me up at 3:30 am when I felt it on my face. That was my cue to leave.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is a nice little place. Everything seems fine except the noisy bathroom fan.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: budget price quiet location one of a kind decor enjoyed the heavy cotton sheets, vintage ceramic elephant lamp on bedside stand, innerspring mattress still a little firm for my 80 year old hips
Cons: A/C blowing on me all night, my favorite tv channels going off before i left at 5 am, season for unwanted visitors (thankful i didnt smell any pesticide residual as control agent)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice no frills motel. Comfy bed and decent water pressure. Just old facility. But clean and cheaper than the other around. Plus had vacancy! When we needed a room for 10hr break. And hotel clerk was very polite!!
Cons: Nothing so far.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was was big air conditioner work well and overall was very clean nice Room
Cons: I would like to coffee maker in the Room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: When I booked the room (while on the road), I did not realize that their office actually closed at 11 PM. The manager phoned and texted me as signal kept dropping and -most importantly, she kindly welcomed us to simply call her when we would get there. We arrived a little after 11PM and she was waiting for us with the friendliest smile. We really enjoyed our stay. It was rewarding staying in a privately owned hotel as opposed to a chain where the owner is going above and beyond to be successful. The room, its comfort, its cleanliness, and its decoration really showed their full attention. If we are ever back in the area, this is where we will stay.
Cons: Nothing!
6.8 Good
Pros: there was no breakfast. there was no coffee. it was just a plain room.
