The staff were very helpful The decor was a little tired
room was spacious, hotel staff were lovely no hot water at all in room, was told this was due to everyone taking shower/bath at same time, however i tryed several times. Dined in stakes n stuff within hotel, waited 1 hour 15 minutes between starter and main course, ended up having to cancel food after starter. Hotel room itself was good size however wallpaper falling off walls and cleanliness not how i would like it
The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was very good
transport to and from airport friendly bar staff. small cramped room dirty carpet not the room shown on internet.
proximity to the airport restaurant staff
The shower was excellent!!! The room looked old and worn. Our bathroom wasn't very clean. There was hair and dirt on the floor.
I liked the relaxed and efficent way the staff took time to treat you as an individual guest.
Wonderful staff at the Normandy and the food in the restaurant is great. It is a bit on the retro side but the rooms are clean and comfortable, and we know we can leave or car safely while we are on holiday. The only down side was the transport back from the airport. There wasn't enough room for all the people who required transport to get on.
It was comfortable and reasonably clean The room had a damp smell to it and the bathroom was in need of refurbishment
Clean, warm comfortable Decor a little tired
I have stayed in the hotel previously and found once again value for money. In addition to this the staff are very helpful and professional. the food is superb and the portions very good, great atmosphere in the lounge bar
Very clean and modern hotel. Huge room decorated very nicely. Food was not fantastic.
The friendly staff who engaged with all guests particularly as the hotel had just re opened after major refurbishment and for some staff it was their first day working in the hotel environment. There was a few minor teething problems i.e. no glasses in the room from which to drink from and no chairs but I did not consider these as a major problem.
newly refurbished hotel with good food and attentive staff
Convenient for Glasgow Airport. Rooms very modern.
Very comfortable room liked the wet room My room was above the outside seating area which had a TV. The TV was switched on at 7.15am and was not switched off all day I had to ring downm to reception at 10.30pm to ask to have it switvhed off it was too loud
Was very impressed with the fact that despite not having any record of our booking.com reservation, the hotel still gave us an excellent executive level room for the price of our original standard room booking. Staff were very helpful and the room itself was very luxurious, clean and comfortable. We were staying for a wedding being held there, but would definitely stay again if we ever had to stay in Johnstone again.
Excellent service from the reception girl. Loise I think her name was. Breakfast was a bit confused ie I was still waiting for tea when I left. No real control of heating in room, extremely warm. Resorted to opening windows, adjusting radiators - no air con?
location did not like the fact that the room had wasps and both myself and neice go stung
The staff were very helpful and friendly giving a pleasant stay. The rooms were of a very good standard after the recent renovations. Although the first room we were given had been fumigated a few days before to remove a wasp’s nest, there were numerous dead wasps on the carpet and a few still flying round. After pointing this out we were immediately moved to another room that was less luxurious
Great rooms, plenty of space and a nice pool The bar food especially the steak was over priced given the portion size and that 50% was uneadible!
Good (shallow) pool, jacuzzi, steamroom & sauna. Quiet, no fuss. Staff friendly in a 'hospitally' way... Near to Dalmuir station to get into city centre. Lots of parking! Didn't realise it was part of a hospital! Spooked us when we arrived, but wasn't really a problem in the end.
Late check out time and fact you can have breakfast delivered to room.
Nice clean room with a comfortable bed and great services Somewhat difficult to navigate to
The staff are always very friendly and efficient every time we stay at the beardmore and I would reccomend the hotel to everyone N/A
facilities where excellent accommodation very good good location to visit loch lomond and the surrounding area also close to go shopping in glasgow nothing to report
Very nice, clean facilities, nice rooms and is situated right on the River Clyde - nice for strolls along the river. Advertised as having an airport shuttle since the facility is near the airport. They in fact only have a part time shuttle, which operates only when they have sufficient staff. The shuttle never operates on Sundays, and on other days, depends on whether or not they have a third person at the front desk.
Hotel offers free collection/drop off to/from Glasgow Airport (gla). Staff are very helfull and friendly
walls are paper thin. we were kept up by a late arriving resident of the room next door who kept trying to open the connecting door. poorly marked from main road, just 2 blocks away.
Quiet and peaceful location along the river. Very comfortable and clean room. Will stay here again when visiting family in Glasgow.
Warm hospitality from all members of staff.
The enormous bed
Everything was great nothing
VIEW OF CLYDE, LOCATION AND SERVICE. TOILET FACILITY FROM BAR LOCATION. MANY STEPS FROM RECEPTION TO ROOMS.
Beautiful location and friendly staff Breakfast was poor, also not much change/choice for dinner menu
The staff were very helpful and friendly and the views over the river Clyde are stunning
The location is lovely, very nice and peaceful, close proximity to Glasgow and Loch Lomond, staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was a bit noisy, the room doors slam very loudly and it got a bit wearing. Sound proofing in the rooms wasnt great either.
The location and scenery
I booked a Z-bed but on arrival it was not available. My room rate was more expensive that advertised and they have just charged me all the cost on my personal debit card rather than splitting the bill as requested. There was a fault with the telephones which meant that I had to leave my card details as the machine wasn't working. The pool closed at 8pm.
Location The rooms we stayed in were old, one of the rooms was a twin but the bed was not fit for purpose and the Hotel has an old rundown feel to it.
Everything was really good. It was quite far from the city centre, though Paisley was also a good place to stay. Further, swimming pool hours for Hotel guests were only for two hours in the evening so I couldn't use it.
Room was very good, the food in the restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced. The room was uncomfortably hot (even with the windows open) and I didn't really sleep very well as a result.
Very clean with friendly, smartly dressed staff. Good food. The style of rooms where glass is used extensively around the bathroom area.
the leisure facilities no
The food was excellent especially the carvery. I particularly liked my first taste of haggis! The equipment in the gym was outdated and not as good as that in other 4* hotels that i have stayed in.
The carvery and subsequent breakfast the next day were superb. While it is understandable as the Hotel developed, I found it difficult to find my room (225)
Nice room. Great breakfast. Clean. beds were not as comfortable as one would expect at this type of hotel
Good hotel for business visit with friendly staff in all departments The television behind the Reception desk
The staff were very helpful and the place was very clean. The noise, the walls are very thinly constructed, I heard people going to the toilet either side of my room (277). You could easily hear conservations all around and they had a heard of elephants staying in the room above one night I was there, and they had a function during my last night where the band was quite loud!
Very helpful and well informed staff. Major event happening in Glasgow at the time and the hotel was very busy, but all staff were courteous. Our room during our 1st stay(July 27/28 was definetly not the same calibre as our 2nd stay(Aug 9). For the same price, the room on our 2nd stay was far superior.
Very noisy, some sort of cooling fan just outside window operating 24/7
An oasis in Paisley Only thing was we ended up paying twice as took second payment on card which made booking as well as the one we paid with. Being sorted out so not an issue in end.
Wow! I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel! First of all it is an architectural jewel!! The main rooms (dinning, entry hall and staircase) are all very traditional with great molding, paneling and charm, but the room was totally sleek and modern. It was so lovely, and the staff was so helpful!! The directed me to a local pub that would still be serving dinner (I got in late), the pub they recommended was utterly perfect and the food was great as well. They were also very helpful in getting me to the museum I was trying to find and in all my stay was made much nicer because of the hotel I stayed at. I will be back and definitely will stay with the folks at the Ashtree again! Nothing, it was perfect.
It was a very comfortable hotel. Staff made you feel very welcome. There was not enough towels in the bathroom.Did not seem to be anybody manning the bar.
Central location, warm welcoming, very clean, modern tidy hotel with friendly staff!
Quiet environment although within walking distance to town facilities, helpful, pleasant staff
this hotel was the best accommodation we had in Scotland. Room was beautiful, quiet. Extremely convenient for an early flight out of Glasgow airport.
I could not fault the hotel. My room and the hotel facilities were excellent. The location is very quiet despite being so close to the town centre, and it is very handy for the airport. I very much appreciated that they offer evening meals.
This is a lovely, listed building hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. I would recommend staying here to anyone.
The friendliness of the staff especially Maureen and Tom who greeted us on our arrival and were there to say farewell. Nothing
Proximity to Glasgow International Airport is excellent as is easy access to the cities of Paisley and Glasgow. The owners of this family run small hotel could not be more friendly or accomodating. The rooms of this converted 200 year old merchant's house are generally large and feel airy with high ceilings. The one-way traffic system in Paisley is confusing and makes getting to the hotel difficult if you have just picked up a hire car at the airport.
Rooms were spacious and the staff was fantastic.
Location for our visit to family
The room was nice and spacious with breakfast having lots of choice. Nothing really, the person welcoming on reception when we arrived could have been friendlier but all other staff we very nice.
The staff could not have been more helpfull they were all superb None
The room was very comfortable and location was lovely. Only stayed 1 night and feel it would not be fair to comment. but the price for the rooms facing MacDonalds front of the hotel is just as the same as the rooms facing the clyde side which the views are nicer and lovely.
Greenock premises conveniently situated. Staff courteous and helpful. £29 offer widely advertised and very misleading. Variable daily rate of no advantage to guests here as Greenock is one of most popular inns - therefore not required to offer lower rates. This should be addressed. Why not introduce special rates for frequent guests?
Excellent staff, and clean hotel None
Staff was very pleasant and accomodating. Resturant with motel was unsat. The food was tough and tasteless and all other selections were unavailable/out of and it was only 6pm on Sunday!!
We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The position on the old docks is probably not the best surroundings at the moment but if they redevelop the dock area - it would be great. The best part is the view across the Clyde from the hotels northern side and the eating area. No complaints
really liked the restaurant and bar. Thought the staff were very friendly. I thought the service in the restaurant was pretty slow to be honest. Sorry!!
Fantastic view of the River, friendly staff Hot water was not clear (had a brown tint). Room was a little cold at times.
nice and central the noise coming from adjacent room when people walkeing, floor creaked and could hear everything.
Relaxation a nice meal in the evening after exploring the Clyde coast then a nice comfy bed and a loveley breakfast and the staff were all wonderful. One of the few hotels where there was nothing to complain about
Staff once notified of twin room mix-up were quick to resolve the issue- hotel was very good and would recommend/stay there again in future Original booking in process took aroung 15 minutes as person could not find the booking no lift service offered for my elderly mother - room on 2nd flr and no offer of assistance with bags
Stayed many times at Premier Inns. Always find the staff excellent, and rooms very cmofrtable, best value for money.
ideal for our car park and handiness for the airport
Check in staff excellent No bad poibts
Very convenient for airport as we needed to avoid travelling length of the country on day of flight. Good value for what it is, an airport hotel Room was Not noisy
Excellent value for money (£29 a night for a couple) and easy to find. Breakfast was ok at £7.50 for all you can eat Cant thnk of any as it was great for £29
breakfast and staff
i arried late 11.30 pm but check in was speedy. room was very comfortable and breakfast was remarkably good for a budget hotel
Standard airport hotel, good if you need to stay close by for an early flight. Nothing special. I wouldn't stay long-term, the walls are thin and there is no air conditioning.
Friendly and competent reception person at 11.15 pm. rought a second setof towels up to the room himself less than two minutes after I phoned for them.
Very helpful reception staff. Just the smokers outside the door...
The room was clean and the staff were friendly. People were a bit noisy in the corridors and the food was expensive although not that great
Staff were very friendly, food was excellent, and plenty of it. Accomodation was good. The noise from the creaky floorboards above our room, thid did tend to wake us earlier than we would have wished.
Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is good. We somethimes get woken up by the creaky floorboards.
Ample parking, elevator for easy access to rooms with luggage. Good bar meals, and lovely restaurant (although I did not use the restaurant personally). The decor in the upstairs hall corridors and rooms is very tired and jaded, and can appear grubby and unkempt in places. It could certainly do with 'brightening up' a little, as this can give the wrong impression of a nice comfortable and friendly hotel.
I found my stay at the Watermill Hotel most enjoyable with the view from my room of the waterfall absolutely wonderful, I will definitely book again. Nothing.
Nice, big room with all possible comforts. Good english breakfast. No hairdryer in room as advertised. Breakfast could have been warmer.
the location Has had a redesign and is more goth than scotish baronial. Though it is unclear where all the crocodile skins fit in!!
all round comfort etc
high quality of service our sleep disturbed by very creaky floors, i think it was the room above (we were in room 15)
my whole stay was good
Tranquil setting, friendliness of staff, comfort and facilities of hotel
We found the food very good, the staff most courteous and helpful, and the accomodation very comfortable. Not very much!
The excellent (knowledgeable) staff in the Georgian restaurant.
The rooms were fantastic. No
Beautiful area, rooms were very nice, and food was excellent I felt that anything you wanted to do cost even more extra money; despite having paid a lot for a room nothing was included. There didn't appear to be enough front of house staff to deal with a full hotel.
Location. luxurious. Wonderful swimming pool complex. Staff couldn't be more attentive.
Clean, quiet, good pillows, not too hot during the night & staff
Location and cleanliness. Comfortable beds too. Good for a business or a night stay and I recommend it in case the premier inn at the same location is fully booked. Reception staff not well trained, some have strong local accent without trying (or seem trying) to be understood and lack of basic hospitality politeness (i.e. smile, say thanks, please, typical hotel stuff). Food variety is limited and existing recipes although basic seem to take ages to prepare. For some reason, I ordered food at 21:10 and I was told that kitchen is not taking any more orders even though the hotel's schedule was saying dinner is served untill 22:00. I was advised to get take away and while I was checking the leaflets other customers went to order and then they decided to open he kitchen back. Strange...
freindliness of the staff
We enjoyed our two day stay in hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean excellent shower.Breakfast was continental plenty to eat self service.Good base to sight see ,plenty to do .We recommend this hotel and will be back later in the year.Good value for money
comfortable for business man nothing
rooms comfortable, heating very good. very accessible for disabled guests. would have preferred 2 have a bath inour room, also more tea and coffee in rooms would be great, we went to shop and bought our own.
near to the train station which was good, breakfast is resonable and welcome message from TV was quite welcoming. the heater was not working properly and it was very cold.Besides,we were given a twin room though we booked for doubled room.the worst was it was smoking room with smell of smoke although i booked a smoking room and it was annoying.
Easy access; good parking; speedy service
relaxing atmosfere a bit far out of town
clean; quiet; helpful staff and nice breakfast- all good value! no
