The proximity to Perpetual Help Dalta Medical Center in Las Piñas. Guarded parking lot No towels, no response from the staff when informed, only one room key, breakfast buffet was terrible, guards often sleeping at their posts
nothing room was small and dirty NOISY: 1. Walls are so thin that you are kept awake with the sounds of people copulating, arguing, and "negotiating" with their hired companions. 2. the staff wheels their carts up and down the halls frequently throughout the night for some inexplicable reason. And it sounds like Santa's sleigh, because they incomprehensibly decided to bells (or maybe a tray of glasses?) on the cart. 3. Rats or some similar sort of critter crawling through the low ceilings and thin walls. With the lights off, it seems like they are inches from your face (probably just the harmonics of the sheetrock & room shape amplifying the scurrying, but still disconcerting) 4. aircon loud as a jet engine: when on, the room is FREEZING and the bed has only a sheet (no blanket). When off, the room is sweltering like a jungle (hotter than it actually is outside). GROSS: 1. bed "mattress" was a foam mat wrapped in black vinyl leather. It was cracked and peeling like an old fraternity basement sofa & looked like it had seen about as many parties--covered in stains of various sorts, including one face-sized blood-collored stain at the center (no joke or hyperbole) 2. the sheets weren't quite big enough to cover the "mattress", and the vinyl texture kept it sliding off all night, so you are guaranteed to wake up numerous times sweating with your clammy flesh adhered to the sticky body-fluid splotches of previous guests and their "guests" STINGY: 1. World's worst hotel breakfast. Gross and flavourless, I gave it two chances and then didn't go back. Everything was sort of moist and semi-sweet like you would imagine a pre-made mylar bag titled, "Chinese meat dish" in an army-ration or airplane meal to taste. (I love Filipino food. This is not) 2. No housekeeping service & they actively try to dissuade you when you request replacement sheets or towels to change them yourself--two of them come to the room & they stand at the door authoritatively with the service stack in hand. STAFF: "one is enough, right" (handing you one sheet from the stack) YOU: "Um, no. I'd really like a full set" STAFF: "Are you sure? Maybe you just need one." YOU: "No really. I would like a complete set." STAFF: "Really?" (standing awkwardly hoping to pressure you to change your mind) YOU: "Give it to me please." STAFF: (hands you the second sheet, deliberately removing the pillowcases) YOU: "And the pillowcases too. THE COMPLETE SET" STAFF: (hands you the pillowcases, deliberately separating them from the towels) YOU: "And the towels too. THE COMPLETE SET!" STAFF: "Ase you sure you need that?" YOU: "THE COMPLETE SET!" STAFF: (finally hands you the towels begrudgingly but grabs the soap off the pile as you take it from them) YOU: "And the soap too. I've been here three days, and it cost me $40 per day. The bed is filthy and infected, I shouldn't have to ASK for a replacement soap!" STAFF: (hands it over & they turn and walk away with a scowl)
Location Wifi kept cutting out. Phone for staff was always busy so you have to go all the way down to get help with the wifi, and after a few minutes it would start cutting out again. Also if the weather is bad, the hotel does nothing to discourage Taxis from price gouging. It should be 46-52 pesos to MOA, but you'll be charged 100+ because the hotel does nothing. H2O won't allow Taxis on their property if they overcharge the guests, and these guys could learn from their example.
Location . Close to airport and walking distance to mall of Asia. The rooms were nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. The hallway carpets are dirty and smelly.While the breakfast is free and there are is a lot of variety , it's not good quality. The dinner is overpriced and the food isn't good. Also we got a room with a king size bed and the bed was a double size.
The bellhops were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast buffet was great and they switched it up daily. The rooms were decent sized and had mini fridges. The front desk ladies were not very friendly or helpful. The rooms looked nice at first but had a lot of flaws. Our first room had cardboard covering one of the window panels. The second room smelled funny and had a lot of unfinished or broken parts.
location, size of room, quality of room breakfast included the carpets in the hallways need to be replaced immediately. it is a shame because the rest of the hotel is terrific.

Location Have to walk thru traffic and rain for breakfast .and with the traffic officer the driver does not yield to the pedestrian very disrespectful to the pedestrian.it seems like the pedestrian must obey the drivers way
The rooms were OK. The shuttle service provided along with the resorts world manila was great. Resorts World Manila and Remington seems to have a coordinated efforts to charge as much money to tourist while you're are at their facilities. Resorts World Manila and Remington Hotel have promotions they advertised online that was a waste of time trying to get because of a coordinated effort to send you back and forth for requirements they needed for the promotions. The hotel will give you a blank look when you ask about the promotions, and the Resorts World Manila will change their requirement based on who you speak with at the membership counter. They will things like "We don't accept online booking reservation anymore", "We don't accept the hotel print out anymore", "This is not the hotel print out that we need. You have to go back to Remington and just ask for a print out. They should know", "All you have to do is show them the booking reservation", "We don't accept booking reservations anymore." It was a frustrating first night for a tourist. The free internet service they advertised is only good for checking e-mail. It's not good enough to surf anywhere. The internet speed is super slow, and I only get internet reception while I'm in the room when I stand by the doorway. Forget using it while in bed.
The hotel is located at convenient location (close to a shopping mall and McDonald's). There are shuttles between the airport and the hotel every hour. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous, but the rooms were lacking a little in cleanliness and comfort. Nice for a one night stay. Great location for shopping at the mall, just a short walk across the street. There was a crazy amount of street construction going on. It took 1.5 hours to get from airport to hotel. You must use an experienced Philippino taxi driver!!
It was good. The hotel was clean and staff were very attending. They need to work in the water that comes to the shower. One moment it was hot and the next very cold.

It is only good for night life, adult guests. It was clean and staffs are friendly. Location wise is great for travelling via air. It was close to the airport and they have a shuttle free of charge. I wasn't happy with their centralized A/C. It was so cold and it was hard for my young kids. Their room phone is useless, no one answers from the front desk. There was really nothing for the kids to do in there. Price is expensive. the Rbar breakfast don't have much to offer.

I asked for them for a cab and was charged 40 dollars for a 4 dollars ride to the airport. When I said I was not paying I was promptly told it was already charged. At this point I didn't have a lot of time to argue since I had to go to the airport.

The old rooms are very bad. The moldy carpeting and musty smell will make you sick. The new rooms are nice. But they are also carpeted, and even though the carpet is new, it still smells. Stay away if you have allergies. I was initially sent to the dungeon upon arrival (old room), but was then upgraded to a new room after insisting AND paying extra. The Thai restaurant excellent. The Japanese restaurant should add traditional western wines to its menu - i.e. French, Italian, Spanish wines. The sushi is mediocre. Carpet is not a sustainable building material. Carpet accumulates dirt, allergens and mites deep within its fibers. Moreover, carpet is made of petrochemicals, it does not decompose in landfills and is generally not recycled. The room's flooring material should be tile.
It was a room. Hotel is old and needs renovation. I'm sure there are leaks in the bathroom behind the shower walls. Convenient to the airport at 5am.

I could not find anything wrong with this properties amenities, customer service and their focus on customer satisfaction I have only found in 6star properties and exclusive resorts. I would definitely make this my first destination for business and family, I would also recommend Dusit Thani-Manila to all my colleagues local and abroad. I came to this property for 2 reason's, 1st: came recommended by a family friend which I trusted and thankfully took her advice, 2nd: for our honeymoon getaway, which is close to everything(e.g. shopping, airport, other friends and easily accessible to public transportstion(e.g. Uber, Grab, taxi, buses, jeepney and tricycle). I would highly recommend this hotel, the frontdesk staff and concierge are well above my expectation but over staff members we were awesome. I wish I could've stayed longer but I had to get back to reality, but I can't wait for my next visit next year for my first year anniversary and to bring my extended family to experience true customer service.
Employees goes extra mile to give a good customer service , definitely my 25 th anniversarry we will stay in Dusit Manila, and everytime a family or friend will visit Philippines I will recommend Dusit hotel I really enjoy staying in that hotel.not to mention I came 14 hours ahead of my flight and Dusit was fully book but they still find a way to accommodate me that was 12 midnight and they just want to make sure I can rest that night after 20 hours flight . N/A

Beautiful lobby on the 8th floor, friendly and helpful staff. Good location Certain things in the room like the desk chair and the headboard were clearly beat/worn, should have been replaced, not something you'd expect to see in a 4/5 star hotel.
Nice clean newer hotel! Like most hotels in Manila Area , they are starting to charge a premium like they are New York or Paris ect! It's still the Philippines but poeple are coming and paying these prices so I really can't blame them! I just don't see it, coming here the last 15yrs! the traffic is impossible, so plan on walking!

I was able to do early check in and late check out with no hassle. Also, left my baggage for a couple of days with no problem as well. Hotel amenities were great. Great location if your want to be near the airport and MOA.
The price was not too bad, but can also get similar price of similar hotels nearby with better service. The staff in the Restaurant is not up to the task. They prefer to chat and joke among themselves instead of taking care of the customers. The fare to the airport is a rip-off, as you cannot get a taxi easily (anywhere). Pool and elevator out of service.
I like their shower room. The water pressure is excellent. The breakfast buffet is good. Staff are friendly. The location is not convenient to the shopping center although it's not that far.

For the price and quality it is good value. The service and staff are Ritz Carleton level. Room was a tad on the small side. It is a little bit out of the way which entails high taxi and airport shuttle costs which should be factored in the room cost.

Location Ascott could not locate my reservation even when given my confirmation number and booking agents number. Front desk did not know what to do, they wanted to charge me double my original paid reservation and credit my paid reservation when it came through.....WHAAAAAT! Very late and tired, no one offered to make it right, front desk seem to have attitude. I finally called Kayak and had them locate original reservation which was faxed to front desk. Front desk calls me to tell me they have fixed it and I clearly told them... I FIXED IT BY CALLING KAYAK...which is something they should've done in the first place!!!!!
The service and security level provided by the Ascott's was excellent and to 5 stars international standards. Honesty and responsiveness of front desk personnel is commendable. Bathroom furnishing needs to be enhanced in order to improve averall staying experince.
The folks at the Ascott were super friendly, from the front door, to check in on the 6th floor, the restaurant was very good, staff attending to the room all were outstanding. Have been coming to PI for 10 years 20 plus trips. 1st stays were at New World, last 6 years have been at the Dusit...price/value was better in comparison than both of those hotels...we were in the old wing, rooms were spacious, we did check out the newly remodeled wing and it is newer for sure...the location next to Glorietta was great and only a 12 minute walk thru the mall to get to the Greenbelt Mall and theaters. We will be staying at the Ascott from now on. PS loved the pool area and the Jacuzzi There was nothing to complain about at all
The floors were extremely dirty. Always had to keep shoes on otherwise feet were black on bottoms. We were even in the penthouse suite where you would think they take more care.
One word - ataraxis.
We stayed here only because we missed our flight and the Holiday Inn was full. We wanted to stay near the popular shopping areas (Glorietta and Greenbelt). The location was excellent and they upgraded our room so we had a washer/dryer, kitchen and separate bedroom. This was perfect because we desperately needed to do laundry and didn't want to spend extra money on laundry service. It was also nice that we could cook our own meals and didn't have to spend a ton eating out and the Landmark grocery store was only a short walk away. We will probably not stay here again because they allow smoking in the rooms so once we made it home, all of our clothes that we just washed smelled like cigarette smoke. The worse part was the little ants that crawled around the whole room even the dining room table. We noticed it the second day there and had all of our luggage on the floor so we were paranoid that ants got into our luggage. We even found some crawling in bed with us. We were very ready to leave.
Top things about this hotel in order: Location (you cant find any better), Staff, The Bed, Bathroom, Minibar, Spa, The Cityview, and Security. The rates are too exaggerated, You can find other much cheaper hotels with similar qualities, nothing very special about it for such a price
Great value for the price. Breakfast is actually more of a brunch buffet. Many choices. Water pressure was excellent. Amenities such as the gym and pool were enjoyable. Double occupancy room may be tight for American travelers; opt for a single bed room instead.
If you need to layover a night in Manila, the Belmont is an excellent choice since it is literally across the street (though you can't walk there with your luggage very easily, you will still need a cab). It has room service, a pool, a rooftop bar, all the amenities. The rooms are extremely small, and given the general cost of things in Manila, this hotel is quite expensive. The hotel airport shuttle takes 45 minutes (!) to reach the airport because it goes to two other hotels on the way. So you really need to take a cab or a "private car" from the hotel, which is ~700 pesos. ($14).
Staff is very courteous and helpful. Very clean rooms and facilities. Comfortable bed. On site restaurant is good. Close to everything - airport (NAIA) and shopping (Mall of Asia).
The breakfast buffet was stellar. One of the best I've ever had.
The room is super clean. I love the rain shower, the bed, Pillows, lobby, staff. Checking in is terrible, they need more staff or work a lil more organized and faster. Pool is too crowded and small. Bathroom door was built in the wrong side of the room.
Kayak site displayed error page when booking did not complete. No confirmation or notification. When booking resulted in completion, confirmation page and email notification was received almost instantaneously. Customer found out at the hotel during check-in that there were two/duplicate reservations. Hotel staff insist no-show as reason to charge the other unoccupied room unless getaroom.com validate the reason for duplicate reservations was not customer's fault. Hotel will not refund, getaroom washes hands and point to Kayak. Maybe Kayak will genuinely care for its customer to help resolve issue.
Courteous staff and always willing to lend a hand. Valet parking was available at no extra cost plus it was handed to us clean after a night's rain. Our wifi was down during our stay but since my other family members were staying at a diff room, we did not bother to complaint and instead used their wifi. Fireworks during the nye was scheduled at 12:10 so we waited until 12:30 but there was none. I had a good night sleep as the bed and covers were really soft and comfy. Will stay here again for their relaxing ambience and good service.
We stayed 3 different times within 3 weeks in this hotel (we went out of town twice between stays). First of all, the service is impecabble. The staff is very warm and welcoming. The location next to 2 huge malls means the availability of many restaurants and retail shops and services. Being a fairly new hotel, the interiors are very nice and clean, yet it feels homey. I totally felt comfortable here and would go back and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Rooms are great, we love the great big windows giving us a great view of the city and the pool.
Pool area and the one staff member there was nice. Oh, and the food was top notch. Aside from that, and the facility, I was not impressed. Mostly just frustrating. They told us "no" way too many times for any place in the hospitality industry. To be fair, we're not that needy. They're just a bit too strict for their own good. For one, they refused to give us free wifi access until we had reluctantly signed up to be part of the Hilton rewards club. Also, if you like to enjoy the occasional smoke, this place is similar to a hospital in that you will be told to move elsewhere if you're not in the one place they allow smoking.

Beautifully designed hotel on Manila Bay. Depending on the room not always the best view but the rooms are comfortable and the staff are great. Everything is an additional cost. Even printing out a few sheets of paper.
Friendliness of staff. Safety measurements taken by Hotel. Proximity to Shopping Mall giving options for lunch and dinner. Rooms will need refurbishment pretty soon.
I could not say anothing bad about my stay. It is my favorite hotel in Manila. We showed up 4 hours early and was able to get a room hours before check in time. I was also upgraded to a better room since they ran out of regular rooms for us. The guess relations person who helped us was very helpful and pleasant. We had a great stay and the Chi spa was an awesome experience. Though it was on the expensive side, it was well worth it. Bit on the expensive side.
Very good breakfast and gym. Very friendly personal. The booking price was given in U.S. dollars but final settlement can only be done in pesos (PHP). This becomes a problem when the hotel uses an exchange rate of 50 (correct official rate is about 46 - the official exchange rate at the front desk is about 47 something). I spent a lot of time arguing about why I would not just pay an additional 50 US$ for my stay because of this - I had to discuss it 3 times until it was eventually fixed, but I was very late for my plane because of it (even though I had gone twice before checking out to make sure it was ok!). This is my only complaint about the hotel which is otherwise very good. Just make sure you do not pay overprice because of the exchange rate also.
Nothing Horrible nightmare. They threw me out on the street due to a glitch in kayaks own get a room site. Get a room claims that my credit card had issues, which Is inaccurate. On the second day of my stay, they told me to pay double or go. What a disaster! The manager on duty showed no compassion to make a common sense decision to charge me the agreed upon rate with a new credit card. They refused to do something so simple and off I went onto the street. I will never stay at a shangri la again, the makati property gave similar problems to me and I had to pay twice in order to stay there since it was 11 pm. Shangri la is not shangri la . It is hell.

i very much appreciated your upgrading me to a corner room which i have enjoyed during a previous visit (room 909). for several years i stayed elsewhere in manila because i did not like the room assigned to me. but this time i was very happy -- thank you. no complaints...i was very happy at the EDSA shangri-la this visit.
