room and whole facility is very clean while the Motel was very nice, I brought my young grand children to the motel expressly to play in the little kids water park. this was not running. either day. I should have been offered some refund or a few tickets to use the facility at another time.
The staff were wonderful! I was so appreciative of the treatment I received by them. The water park was fun too. I will stay again! I was sad to leave when I did...Thank you!!
great assortment of restaurants within the facility
Great location. Good choice of food/beverage options. This property is showing it's age and needs a major makeover. Carpets are old and worn. Bathrooms have no exhaust fans.
no frig. or micro. in the rooms
Attended a wedding and the Radisson was within walking distance! No continental breakfast
I liked being asked for additional options in the beginning-extra towels, what type of room would I like, etc. My option for "a room with a view" was rewarded with a room with a view...of other rooms in the hotel... The little things were missing-no coffee creamer Did not feel very homey
The beds were really comfortable. Very clean rooms. Housekeeping wasn't too on the ball. My first night, they forgot to stock toilet paper and facial tissues. Two nights later, they didn't stock any floor mat for when you step out of the shower. When I called the front desk, they just brought me more towels.
I felt pampered
The staff was very friendly, and the common areas were clean and well maintained. The breakfast was decent as well. The room was "shop worn." Carpets very worn and stained. The desk and furniture showed significant signs of wear. The common areas were clean and well maintained, but the rooms are tired.
The overall general condition to the facility is very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a nice and well set breakfast area. THe atmosphere of our room was dingy. Seemed dark and dated. For the price I have seen better. The bed linens need updating and spiffing up, although the bed was comfortable. I didn't know the room had a handicapped bathroom, although that didn't bother me.
Covienient booking process was fast and easy With 3rd party bookings it is not possible to easily change plans / dates of travel. Customer service in this area needs to be addressed. I was very disappointed that during my booking process and before payment the room charge increased $20 per night. The price should never change at that time. If it happens again I will not use this service again.
The night we stayed it snowed. When we left we saw that the gentleman employee has gone through and cleared all the windshields of the cars of snow . THAT WAS FANTASTIC.! WHAT A GREAT EXTRA! PERSONAL SERVICE! Sheets were to small for beds.kept coming off.
Location to the Appleton Baseball Stadium. Overall a pleasant stay. Good Happy Hour. Very good Breakfast. The TV in bathroom did not operate. The window solid blind did not pull down to cover window, and there was a very bright outside street lamp shining into the room directly to the head of the bed. The pillows were all the same, even extras in the closet, which does not make a choice option for different individuals needs.
Clean, up-to-date facilities, individual climate control, comfortable showers, good breakfast in a nice atmosphere, reasonably hot hot tub and refreshing pool. Nice outside deck areas. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Huge rooms! I really liked having a mini-fridge and microwave in our room. Bathroom is really outdated and was only semi-functional.
Comfortable room Comfortable bed Quiet
The hotel staff were all very professional and nice. The room was clean and quiet. The hotel and the pool appeared to be well maintained. It was and good stay. Housekeeping kept forgetting to leave us coffee. The breakfast could have offered a few more healthy options with whole grain.
Good value for someone looking for an economical, clean, comfortable, no frills place to stay. Bedding was updated and attractive. Flat panel TV. Free Internet. The one queen bed rooms are quite small, but fine for 1-2 people. Great location close to Fox River Mall and its surrounding restaurants/retail area. They do offer a very basic free continental breakfast (cereal, bagels, toast, mini muffins, make your own waffles, fruit, yogurt, coffee and juice). Friendly front desk staff. A good choice for the budget conscious. Does the job. Walls are thin, can hear conversations next door. Main lobby could use some updating to look more inviting (paint, pictures, dried florals, etc.) There is no pool, so perhaps not as kid friendly as other hotels in area.
Waiting at the front desk for ten minutes waiting to check in. Refrigerator that didn't work properly.
The other guests complained over and over about some kids and the staff became evil! Price.
What i liked? Nothing. We just needed a place to crash. It smelled, babies screaming, first room had blood on the comforter. It also had that creepy feeling.
Very reasonably priced hotel. Nice hot tub. Needs updating. Could be cleaner. Room was very small.
Good location, the bed was comfortable Thin walls! We heard every move the people made above us. The rooms are small. They're good for a night but I wouldn't stay much longer. Not a lot of value for the high cost.
The rooms were large and quiet. Staff friendly. A good value. Well certainly adequate, the breakfast food could have been better. Little things like having more than one machine that people had to wait in line in for any coffee, decaf, and hot water all in one machine. Having a higher-quality cream cheese instead of the dry, crumbly cheap stuff. The hot tub was dangerously hot. This went far beyond health code hot. We wish there had been a swimming pool as well.
The breakfast room being always open and having fruit and juice and coffee available for a snack if desired. Would have liked HBO and The Weather Channel on the T.V.
Room was very dirty towels where yellow outdated room torn carpet staff very unprofessional messy hair untucked shirts very disappointed
Comfortable beds, friendly staff, and excellent, well-maintained hot breakfast. No complaints
An easy 5 minute drive to the airport, this hotel was also within easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants, movie theatre, and family fun. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Large pool, spa, and breakfast area were also appreciated. Best price in town.
Also, they lied about having pillow top mattresses, very uncomfortable bed. And breakfast was awful, only protein were hard boiled eggs, no breakfast meats.
Needs updates...pool area and bathrooms...the a/c in the front room of the suite didn't work
Breakfast was a little expensive for what they had $40 for the four of us 2 young children. I wouldn't have the buffet again.
The decor of the suite was really cool, the bed and bedding was comfy, the layout of the suite was great. It felt more luxurious than the price would have suggested. The swimming pool was tiny. When there were a few big kids there, they completely overwhelmed the whole room.
We like the convenient location & generous sized suite.Very quiet ,comfy,&clean
For the price paid the we were more than pleasantly surprised with the staff, the cleanliness of the room as well as the breakfast area. The fact they have a bar is extraordinary for a hotel in this price range. The staff was courteous and very helpful. And the location sure aided in our Christmas shopping. My wife and I would definitely stay at the Grandstay again with no hesitation.
Clean, friendly and efficient ck in
Room was spacious, breakfast choices were very good, staff was very friendly, we were allowed to check in early to all 4 of our rooms
The room was 61 degrees when we checked in at 1030pm. That is too too cold for this time of year. It took roughly 2 hours for the room to warm up to a decent temperature.
Location was perfect for attending the concert at lions park. Near by World of Beer was welcome surprise at walking distance for after show food/drinks. Pool is small and was crowed so didnt bother using. Lobby bar didnt open till after 4pm.
Clean, regular hotel. Nice waitress in the restaurant and when my key didn't work a very nice maintenance man took care of it and even walked to the room with me to make sure the new one worked. The breakfast here was a bit subpar compared to other Hilton Gardens we've stayed in before. Before making our reservation I had called the hotel direct to ask what time breakfast began, they said 6am, again upon arrival I had asked, again 6am was stated. So when Saturday morning arrived, they were opening, after I asked, at 7am. Needless to say we had to miss it.
Property needs renovation...
Our room was clean, large and comfortable. The continental breakfast was better than most hotels with same service including ''real'' waffles. We would recommend this hotel to our friends.
after standing my ground i got the non-smoking room that was promised,There was no maid service. we had no new towels, no toilet paper, garbage cans were full, beds unmade. The manager did bring us what we needed and emptied the garbage. Breakfast hours could be better. we had to be at the pool at 7 am breakfast didn't start until 7 am. I came back for breakfast on sunday and it was closed at 10, but then went thru the lobby and found out that they extended it. totally unfair. The wireless internet was bad, it keep booting you off if you could even get on it.
The lobby looked wonderful and that is where it stopped. We spent the first 15 minutes of our stay wiping off mildew from the air conditioner. The couch was very worn and the piping had missing material. The fitted bed sheet had holes. Breakfast was mediocre at best.
We have been there three times and will return for many more. Thank You so Much.
The suite was just a large room, nothing special. We thought it strange that the TV (one) was not located in proximity to the sofa. I'm sure this is a great place to stay for families with small children as the pool area was rather nice. However, for the older kids, the hotel was not so great.
The hotel has not been updated in over a decade and it is showing it's age. The bathroom had water damage on the ceiling in the shower and the wall paper was coming apart. The sink was chipped and yellow. All the furniture is worn out including the sofa with the torn cover. No flat screen tv and the reception on the old one had lines going through it. The beds were sunk in the middle and uncomfortable. The door to the room would not lock again until we reinserted the card. The games in the pool area are very old and several were broken. Overall the money saved was not worth the experience.
My trip with 2 other friends to Appleton for some shopping and fun was made better due to our stay here. The staff was helpful and check-in was a breeze. We had a poolside room, which was great, no walking thru hallways to the pool and Jacuzzi. The complimentary happy hour was super, many choices, not just beer and wine. My only negative was the bed situation. We had 2 regular beds and 1 pull out sofa sleeper. The sofa sleeper was awful, and the regular beds not much better. If I could put the Wingate beds in the Comfort Suites, it would have been perfect. The morning breakfast area helped us to forget our poor nights sleep. The food was plentiful and good. We would stay here again, but hopefully with better beds.
The beds are comfortable, the location is convenient and the breakfasts are good
Comfort Suites gave us a very nice, clean room. The good breakfast was a bonus and added value to the room. We did find it odd that there weren't grab bars in the shower of a handicap accessible bathroom. There was only one bar to help enter the shower.
My twin sister, her husband, my husband and I rode our Harley's from Chicago to Appleton for a family reunion. It looked beautiful from the outside as well as the inside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was awesome. I will only stay in Comfort Inn Suites from now on.
I was very satisfied with the price and quality of the Comfort Suites. It was right off the highway for ease of finding the hotel. The bed and pillows were great. Small room but met our needs.
We have stayed at the comfort suites before and we always go back. Staff if helpful, room is clean, breakfast is wonderful. We will continue to stay at the Comfort Suites in Appleton next time we head to a Packers game.
the room looked very luxurious and comfortable. You can walk to the mall, it was not that far away from the hotel. It was definitely a 5-star experience
The comforter was a bit too heavy and warm. It was not possible to make it lighter or less warm.
Fresh omelets available for breakfast. Fresh fruit available. Breakfast included in rate. Location off Hwy 41 was convenient. Our room was musty, old, and bathroom in great need of repair. There was a dead spider on the bath floor and kleenex box falling out of the wall, as well as peeling wallpaper. The bed was not as firm as we are used to.
Kids loved the pool area. Although I was hoping the hotel would open the breakfast early due to the race many of us were participating in- the staff made us cold breakfast bag that was more than accommodating! Thanks for your help! When my friend arrived to check in- she had to wait 10 minutes before anyone came to the front desk to help her! Also- price went up $10 from when I checked at noon til when I booked after work.
Continental breakfast ok No need to return.
Indoor pool without the chlorine smell! Noisy
Great location, right off the highway. Very close to restaurants and other dinning places. It is about 46 minutes from Green Bay. The front desk host was very friendly, and even though we were very late she was very understanding. I am 6'5", the showers here felt very small. I felt like i was touching the ceiling. The shower head came up to my shoulders. I was basically to squats to shampoo my head.
The hotel had a great location. The room was clean, quiet and the staff was friendly. No downsides.
The location and cost were very good for us. The staff was friendly. The room was comfortable. They are renovating some areas. If they refreshed the rooms a little, it would be a very nice place to stay. The rooms are outdated - older carpeting, etc - they could use some refreshing. Although complimentary, the breakfast was not up to par with other hotels that offer complimentary breakfast.
Good location near shopping mall and other amenities such as restaurants, gas stations and other handy businesses for the motor traveler.
The price was right for a single-night stay and it was close enough to the meeting I attended the following day. The management had some problems with the date of my reservation, thinking that I would be in the hotel the following day. They had made a phone call previously to my home about the reservation. I thought that all information was clear. The hotel appeared a bit rundown and needs some renovation.
Maintenence and confort are very poor.
The room was beautiful and I liked that it was a suite with separate bedroom. Though we didn't use it the small kitchen is a plus. There is nothing I didn't like.
The friendly and helpful staff along with the convenient location. No.
We stayed here while in town for a wedding. The hotel was clean, comfortable and a great value. We would definitely stay here again!
Friendly receptionist, room facilities Noisy refrigerator
Cleanliness. Staff. Blower dryer outlet not working.
The staff was very friendly. Room was quiet. The bed had a bad smell like body odor. I called the front desk and had different pillows brought up and that helped with them but when sitting next to the bed and reading, I still could still smell that body odor so it must have been the blanket and spread etc.
Very convenient location and wonderful pizza place right behind!! Room was not very clean...bathroom sink didn't work leaked all over floor...
Free internet, great helpful staff, breakfast was good. The Glass Nickel Pizza next door was great too! The room smelled a little like smoke but besides that everything was clean and well kept.
Good value with nice breakfast options Strange smell in hallway outside our room
I'm really upset that I couldn't get my money back after I had to call and cancel last minute due to a death in the family. Very rude. Never again.
Very very dirty!!!
The first thing I noticed when I walked into our room was the wall mirror had hand prints all over it so I could tell it hadn't been cleaned. Then when we sat on the beds, my daughter noticed a Dorito on the floor so it made us question whether the room had even been vacuumed. We also found the hallways dirty and the breakfast area dirty. When my daughter took a cream cheese for her bagel, it was green!
We as attended a reception in town. HoJo's location was only 10 minutes away so we chose this hotel for that reason plus the low cost. Best part of the stay was the Glass Nickle pizza establishment next door. Very fast, hot, tasty pizza. Hotel is in the process of remodeling. Had to take a long way around to get to the room. Hallway was stifling hot but the AC was fine in the room. There was blood on the sheets which we didn't notice until morning. The handle came off of the tub control. Bathroom mirror was hazy. There was a notice in the breakfast area that there would be a $10 charge to take food back to the room.
Friendly service, breakfast, microwave, fridge and the price.
