The Paddington Hilton is in a great location. Coming from the airport with luggage, it's very convenient. The bed was comfortable and the curtains make the room dark. When we did have hot water, the shower had great water pressure. However, it's very outdated. Pros (+) Convenience at Paddington Station, Heathrow Express, and London Underground.
Cons (-) No swimming pool and not any very good restaurants within walking distance of hotel.
Pros (+) The location was perfect for travel to the airport and access to the underground. Could not be better. Staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable.
Pros (+) If you want to have a fast access to the Heathrow and the city, this is the best location. The Paddington station is its backyard. It takes 15 minutes to LHR through Heathrow express and to other places within London through the tube.
Cons (-) You should avoid staying there for any days above 70F. The AC in the room is virtually non-existing. I put the fan speed at high and temperature dial to the maximum (- side). Yet I still have to open the window in a rainy 60+F day to get the breeze in. So avoid it in Summer.
