Pros: 110% satisfied with everything at the hotel. Beautiful, relaxing, clean and amazing service. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place. value for money. Amazing food.great service.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: -Our room was very nice - the bed, pillows and bedlinen were extremely comfortable and luxurious. Room was very clean and modern. -Excellent buffet breakfast. -The infinity pool near the spa area, a beautiful setting overlooking the Nile.
Cons: -The air con throughout the hotel was freezing, especially in the restaurants. We turned our room a/c off completely during our stay. It was 40 deg outside and felt like 18 deg inside (I caught a chill). -The restaurant staff were a bit too intrusive at mealtimes. -The other huge pool was very very shallow, seemed a waste of space. Quite disappointing as it looks absolutely fabulous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Property is well kept and is in excellent condition. Staff is professional and friendly. Service level is excellent. Family room is perfect for family traveling with small children.
Cons: N/A
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very well aquipped, nice rooms, quiet, comfortable. The staff was well trained and very friendly. Breakfast was good, the pool area very scenic with view to the river, great sunsets. The Gym was very well equipped. The hotel is a little far from Luxor city center, but there are always taxis waiting in front of the hotel.
Cons: The restaurants had not such a variety of interesting menues, but the staff was very friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel with fantastic staff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything but especially the staff who were all so friendly and helpful.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the stay, from the staff to the facilities was absolutely perfect and I'd recommend it to anyone! The hotel is beautiful and very well kept, the service is unmatchable and the staff is the friendliest and most helpful. We had a particularly great time with Mickey from the Olives restaurant who offers the absolute best shisha mix you could ask for! Thank you all for a wonderful stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Man... The Nile is amazing. But the staff was fantastic! Such high level professionalism and no begging for tips or anything. Just very kind and nice and accommodating staff with our enjoyment and satisfaction prized above all else. Really fantastic hotel and dinner on the nile is totally worth it! Shoutout to the best staff Elshazly!
Cons: Everything was fantastic nothing to dislike at all. I dont actually like this part of the booking review because it almost forces people to write something bad about a place that wasnt bad at all! This hotel is an oasis in the desert really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was just amazing.. the views of the river, the staff . Can’t say anything negative about the place. It was superb
Cons: Really nothing I’d have to be real picky to come up with one . But why should I, I loved the place

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner and his family quickly make you feel at home. The room was nice and clean. Bed and facilities are very comfortable. Food in the restaurant is amazing, delicious and fresh. Sayed helped me to book tours to get to know the most important and beautiful things in Luxor at a good rate! This hotel is overall great, had a great experience and would stay here again! If you’re going to Luxor I would definitely recommend this place. Staff is very helpful and nice.
Cons: .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean rooms, and quite spacious. Loved the location. Excellent WiFi.
Cons: If you book, and the owner wants payment in US dollars, then bring US dollars with you. The exchange rate he uses is significantly NOT in your favour. Don’t just pay what he says it is. For two nights he was wanting an extra £10 more than we should have been paying. I used currency converter to show him his conversion was incorrect. Next time I will just take dollars.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the place, Sayed, and his staff had many attentions for us. Sayed helped us organizing our transfer, took us by car to the nearby sites (under 40 degrees!) and provided good advices for the balloons, sites to visit... The room was spacious and clean (and made every day), bathroom with high water pressure in the shower (not common in Egypt!) The breakfast and dinner were very good, and served in the restaurant of the hotel. Wifi is pretty good too.
Cons: Nothing... As it was very hot (too hot for me I guess), I would have enjoyed a swimming pool for 1 hour!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable property. I really enjoyed the view from the balcony and roof deck overlooking the sugarcane fields, particularly at sunset time. Food was very good. Sayed, the owner, is a strong personality, who goes out of his way to help his guests. There was a Wi-Fi connectivity issue on my floor, which he moved very swiftly to remedy. He also negotiated a good rate for a bicycle rental, which was brought right to the hotel. The early check-in and late check-out were also very much appreciated.
Cons: 3% fee for paying with Visa. No shower door/curtain, though this didn't bother me much. From an environmental perspective, there seems to be scope to reduce usage of plastic wrap (with plastic used, for example, to cover jam that is already packaged). Some initially quoted local transport prices seemed high, though he also very kindly brought me to some nearby spots on the West Bank at no cost.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the location, they are close to all the temples. his collaborators are very attentive, without leaving one out, and the owner of the hotel that was always available to give us an excellent service and that the stay was like being at home. Every space clean a feeling peacefully.
Cons: Everything was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Train and Plane Tickets for transport to other cities in Egypt were arranged through the hotel and hand delivered to me. Tours, Activities, Driver and Guide were arranged through hotel, and extremely convenient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Like the owner said we were not just clients but guests! Mister Sayed could arrange anything we needed : transportation, valuta change, bike rental, visits,... His hotel is very comfortable, clean and pleasant, the breakfast is wonderful and let you have a wunderful sightseeing without starving, and the diner is perfect. The place is very pleasant at the west of the west bank : peace, green and incredible sites within a bike distance
Cons: We missed a roof terrasse for our breakfast but ... it is in construction. So next time we come to Luxor we will enjoy it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing and friendly staff. Mr. Sayed is the perfect host and made sure that our stay was comfortable. The rooms are very clean and serviced daily. The chef prepares delicious and fresh food as per your choice. The property is in a great location, travelling to the necropolis in the West Bank was so easy for us. The rooftop offers amazing night sky and a great view. Would surely recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sayed is an excellent host, going above and beyond to make your stay comfortable
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room is so spacious and bathroom is clean. They changed the toiletries and towel everyday. The owner is so helpful for arranging the taxi to airport. He took us personally to the village and shops in particular. We bought some great authentic spices. He was so helpful to arrange the hot air balloon, but because of our tight schedule, we couldnt make it. We were only guests at that time, so we couldnt explore the facilities fully.
Cons: The hotel is in west bank and the west bank attractions are so close and easily accessible. Our own guide (booked by ourself through third party) tour started from west bank and finished in east bank. The taxi guy was not interested to return us back in west bank. The breakfast is average, only bread, jam, cheese and honey. May be because of we two only stayed in the hotel at that time. After stayed inside cities (Cairo and Aswan) this west bank looks so deserted.

Pros: Very clean and pleasant! Excellent location and amazing staff!
Cons: Nothing! Oh maybe that there was no hot water, which at the time didn’t bother me as it was so hot outside, I needed a cold shower :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was really nice. Staff was really kind. They do their best to help you. If you want someone to talk to, they are always open for some small talk. They helped us with a tour and they also have laundry service. Dorms are basic, but clean.
Cons: Everything is nice. If there is just one small thing they can add to their hostel, it is curtains on the beds for some privacy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location. Staff is helpful in picking up and travel advice. Bathroom is clean. AC works well.
Cons: Breakfast could be better.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Great hostel. Basic rooms, but clean. The staff is amazing. Better than most hotels or hostels. Also one of the best restaurants (Sofra) in Luxor is only a block away.
Cons: Its a hostel, so it has certain draw backs. But as far as hostels go it is excellent.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: In these faster days, when you are travelling in a warm country as Egypt and the sun touch your body and give you so much energy, the best way to put it in equilibrium is to arrive to Compound Hotel in the West Bank in Luxor. They have a paradise in the middle of the history of Egypt, it’s a kind of heaven, an Oasis that it’s surrounding by green trees and beautiful Bugambilias, and the shadow touch you as the seda when you return of the adventures. Our room was perfect, with a unforgettable view of the Nile and its palms, a drawing of an artist. The space of the room is big enough that you are not worry if the faraones has something big, you have already. And the food that they can prepare for you, leave all the others restaurants out of the game. Charming, gently, smiling people are waiting for you, and the swimming pool is a cold cloud in the middle of the sun lands.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Stunning and relaxing hotel. Mammoth fresh breakfast. Returned one evening and was asked if I wanted dinner and they cooked a tasty vegetarian meal. Lovely pool in beautiful garden. Room was spacious with lovely bathroom.
Cons: As I didnt have a car, it was difficult to get to places and I had to rely on taxis.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the west bank away from all the hustle and bustle of the east bank. Perfect place to chill after a day visiting the sites around Luxor. The owner and staff are really friendly and the breakfast is amazing. The room was also better than rooms I have had in far more expensive hotels.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This guesthouse is a gem.on the West Bank of Luxor. The location is quiet, the perfect place to recover after a hot day visiting the many sights Luxor has to offer. When I arrived I received an upgrade to the suite. A beautifully designed room with living area. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home. It was hot (40C) so the chilled lemon juice and cold watermelon were the perfect welcome.
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff was perfect, the food and drinks provided was great. The room was big enough and really nicely decorated as the outside with fruit trees and flowers everywhere.
Cons: The room was so hot for many days (walls and structure) that it took a long time for the AC to refresh the room. The pool was unusable because there's was no maintenance done and underfilled.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the Best hotel i have stayed during my entire 10 days trip in egypt. Excellent location ,such an Amazing and helpful staff. Specially mahamod manager. Amazing breakfast , swimming pool. A must stay hotel in luxor.
Cons: Must stay property in luxor.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our apartment was spacious and very clean with two big bedrooms and good air conditioning. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast next to the pool and free towels were provided at the swimming pool. Our host was really nice and helped us with everything and made sure our stay was as nice as possible. All with all a really great experience and a lovely hotel!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: thanks to the manager’s great advice, we had the opportunity to spend great time in Louxor end the Nile Valley...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Too perfect, this is my dream of accommodation, the middle of the night to pick us up, riding a motorcycle to taxi in front to lead the way into the village feel particularly primitive, quiet. All relaxed, compared to the hotel, it's more like a home, village, courtyard, every child's village, warm and honest, gave me some fruit, luxor when I go there, I would like to live here for a month, enjoy the quiet here, like the French lady, will meet in the evening every day in the morning, one day I met her in the villages around at night, and also take me home, just met a holiday over there on the third day, all the children put on new clothes, jewelry, big morning will see a lot of children, is a sense of ritual, permeated with the joy of holiday, the in the mind also follow them happy.
Cons: no
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect!! The people, the bedroom, the food, the pool and the area. 100.000% recomended.

Located in Luxor, Thebes Hotel Luxor is a 3-minute drive from Colossi of Memnon and 5 minutes from Ramesseum. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved staying at Thebes hotel. The owner, Hassan, was very kind and helpful. All the staff were also very friendly, respectful and helpful. Love the rooftop pool. Breakfast was delicious. Location was in a quiet area and the rooftop had amazing views of Luxor. Would highly recommend staying at Thebes. We were very sad when we had to leave.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect!0
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The roof terrace with a swimming pool is a place to relax and get away from the touristic hustle. Exceptional view to Hatshepsut. Ever helpful and friendly staff that serves you with tasty food, drinks and good advice all day. We got our tours individually and perfectly arranged by the owner Hassan and the receptionist Linda. Hassan and his staff take care for their guests with personal commitment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is an oasis in Luxor. Once we found the place we really liked its quiet location for its access to the many sites on that side of the river. And after a day of exploring, having the pool was fantastic. To get to the east bank it just takes a short 2 LE microbus trip to the ferry, and from there a pleasant 5 LE trip over the Nile. The staff were very accommodating and the rooms were regularly cleaned to an excellent standard and were very comfortable. If we came to Luxor again (and we are tempted!) we would by default stay at Thebes again.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was sparkling clean, spacious and beautiful! Breakfast was perfect, we let them know the night before when we would up and about and everything was ready for us when we got there. The view from the roof is amazing! I would definitely go back and have already recommended the Thebes to other travelers.
Cons: We really liked everything, but just a heads up to budget travelers - the hotel offered a car service to take us to the various sites, which we found out was about twice what we could get by negotiating directly with taxi drivers (many speak English, so if the first one doesn't, just ask another and you'll find someone). We did that and found a very nice driver who was thrilled to show us around and get us to the bus station when we left for about half what the hotel offered. But if your budget allows it, if you're not comfortable talking to the drivers on your own or if you just want the convenience of the hotel arranging it, then the hotel service will probably be useful for you. Again, not a critique (I think many hotels do this), just something to consider depending on your budget.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great facilities, very nice employees and a great rooftop with a nice swimming pool and view.
Cons: Not at walking distance from Luxor attractions, but compensates by being very quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thebes Hotel is a very clean, nice, relatively new hotel located on the west bank of Luxor - in the village rather than in the busy city. With a rooftop with tables and a pool it makes the perfect place to cool off and relax after a hot day. Breakfast is good and if you're booked in for an early tour they make you a breakfast box. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable and has a terrace. It's not far from the ferry dock, but a taxi doesn't cost you much. The father of the family living in the house next door will take you there for 20LE.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff are friendly and helpful. Room is clean.
Cons: Location is a little bit far from airport and railway station.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The pool and the view from the roof top. Big sized confortable room. The helpful staff.
Cons: The credit card reader never functioned during my 3 days stay. Not a lot of restaurant in the vicinity.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very, very pleasant and accommodating.
Cons: For most of the time I was the ONLY guest.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was very good. The whole staff were amazing
Cons: Nothing

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour business center, and limo/town car service. Planning an event in Luxor? This hotel has facilities measuring 1614 square feet (150 square meters), including a meeting room. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge (available 24 hours), and free valet parking is available onsite.
5.4 Okay
Pros: There are nice views from the rooftop, the room and bed size were good, and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly when we spoke. The driver to and from the airport (Ahmed?) was fun and very friendly.
Cons: One of the pillow cases on my bed had some weird brown stains, and also the toilet bowl was quite dirty. Maybe it was just my room, but the AC unit had trouble to keep the room cool even at full power on a cold setting, it was still pretty hot in the room and I was sweating. I even left the AC on all night and all day in hopes that I would return to a cool room after exploring Luxor, but it was still quite hot. Maybe it is because it is so hot outside in the summer though? Often, when I would go down to the reception area, the staff were lying down on the sofa sleeping, and i felt a little uncomfortable if I needed something. When I checked in, I spoke about how I would need a drop off at the airport, and we discussed times and would leave at 7am, so have breakfast at 6:30am. On the check out day, I went to the rooftop for breakfast, but nobody was there, so I went downstairs and they were sleeping on the sofa. I asked about breakfast, and they told me ok and to wait on the rooftop, so I did this, but nobody came for 10 minutes, and then they told me that they don’t have anything for breakfast because it’s a festival; I would have expected they get some foods the day before to serve for breakfast? They suggested I could get some breakfast on the drive to the airport, but the places were closed because of the festival; poor preparation. It would also have been nice if the hotel would have provided a towel etc for taking a shower, but there were no towels. I was not provided with the WiFi password at any point either. One extra thing- not really a bad thing but more of a suggestion- when serving the breakfast or dinner, please put the cutlery separately on the table. During my dinner, it took me a long time to realise that the cutlery was under the bread! Until then, I had been trying to eat everything by picking it up with the bread, as I was not sure whether this is normal way of eating in Egypt, and I could not see the staff at the rooftop; maybe he went somewhere?
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location close to ferry terminal and West Bank sights. Really helpful staff and a good included breakfast on the roof with a nice view.
Cons: The WiFi was too slow to do anything other than send messages and emails.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is on the West Bank of Luxor, which might seem as a downside. But it is a beautiful escape from the busy Luxor on the east bank and we can totally recommend staying there! Staff is very helpful and the driver Ahmed is friendly and will take you to all the sights if necessary. The rooftop is amazing!
5.4 Okay

Pros: Thank you to Nasser and his staff I felt very welcome. The room was very large, clean and tastefully decorated. The view from the rooftop terrace was amazing. You could watch the sunrise and sunset over Hapshetsut Temple in the distance. The food was traditional and fresh and large servings. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Cons: The accommodation is further away from airport than I had realised on the west bank. But if you are looking for a quieter and greener alternative this is it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly family run business. Made to feel very welcome and offered bespoke meals and outings, even joining the owner to a local cafe by the Nile. Stunning views from the colourful roof terrace and the feel of an authentic local area, whilst being a short walk from the Nile and various shops. Right next to the riding stables for anyone into riding or watching horses from the roof. Car hire organised at short notice and reasonable rates. Luxor is a magical place with so much to see. As a coeliac the traditional meals were not suitable but simple foods were cooked at my request.
Cons: Beds could be a little firmer for my taste and the bedroom aircon was a louder model, despite being very effective. We had earplugs and so were totally fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is very clean, well located. The staff is so nice and kind, they helped us a lot. The food is unexpensive, fresh, authentic and dleicius.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, free breakfast, amazing prices the hotel itself was beautifully decorated and the rooftop terrace where we had breakfast was amazing. The room was a small size. But for the price, it was great!! The beds were comfortable as well. Each room had its only balcony that overlooked the amazing land. Good AC as well
Cons: The bathroom was undesirable. Sketchy shower and water pressure. I dreaded showering sometimes lol but like I said, the prices are worth it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most amazing part of my trip to Egypt was Luxor and the Cleopatra hotel. The owner and staff were so amazing making me feel as if I were a part of the family!!! The food at the hotel was amazing. All fresh and made to order! I will be back.
Cons: Everything was perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The food is served in a most beautiful rooftop setting. The staff are super friendly and caring. They went out of their way to help us through our time in Luxor.
Cons: WiFi speed could be better.

Pros: A friendly oasis. The breakfast buffet is excellent with an abundance of choice. During the day or evening you can sit, eat, drink, by the pool, in the garden, on the roof, or in the restaurant or the bar. It's a quick walk to a plethora of boats, taxis, tuk-tuks and private cars, as well as the ferry across the river. It's easy to hire a driver for the day or just one way. Take a boat to Karnak, the museum, or just across to the Luxor Temple.

Pros: Great personnel, lovely location with a huge garden and swimming pool, very good food
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Easy to find. Staff very good.
Cons: There was nothing to dis like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with amazing food. the food at the hotel was much better and cheaper than outside the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, the manager Mohammed did a great job by helping us to organise our day tours and hot air balloon for a very good price. Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and atmosphere. This is created by the garden, roof top terraces and cosy choice on room furnishing and lighting. Pool is a lovely bonus. The staff often goes the extra mile and owner is friendly and very approachable. His office is in the garden...
Cons: The indoor breakfast setting was let down by the many flies. This seems only a problem to this particular room. Can be solved pretty easily by combination of ceiling fans and some UV lights...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After travelling for 9 months we can most definitely say that El Gezira Garden Hotel is the BEST place we have stayed thus far. If we could give an honest rating we would give it a 20 OUT OF 10! The staff at El Gezira Garden Hotel were beyond amazing with the manager Muhammed making every element of our stay incredible. From the cute rooms to the amazing breakfasts & dinners to the well priced, incredibly knowledgable tour guide that was organised for us, we were blown away. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! - We arrived here as guests and will now walk away as friends.
Cons: Everything was amazing, there was absolutely nothing to dislike. Thank you again El Gezira Garden Hotel, we will most definitely be back!
7.5 Good
Pros: The gardens were beautiful and had lots of birds
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I cheat a little here as this is my 3rd visit/stay so I know what to expect. I go because of its location, its staff and its facilities and charm which from the photo you can see is unique. It says a lot about an establishment that has the same staff (with maybe a couple of exceptions since 9 years).
Cons: There was nothing to dislike ! Perhaps I would like to see some upgrade in bathroom fixtures and fittings and some external windows and doors replaced, but overall I have no dislikes.
10.0 Excellent

7.1 Good
Pros: The staff was friendly and it definitely has great value with a really low price.
Cons: The mosquitoes absolutely killed me like nowhere else in Egypt. The location is close to the port but it's on a small and not so well lit street and it can be quite intimidating walking to the hotel especially at night. The tours the hotel sells are short and not worth the price. You can get much better deals on the street.

Cons: Many motorcycles inside the hotel, even between the rooms using the golf car routes, which can be dangerous if you have kids. It seemed like it belongs to the staff as their security were OK with them.

Pros: Great location, smiling & very helpful staff, the selection of food at breakfast & dinner. Best place to relax in Luxor.
Cons: They have a nice big gym but unfortunately the airco didn't work ! I know from other guests who stayed there that it has been ongoing sinds quite some time... What a pity they give it so little attention.

Pros: We always love this place, perfect
9.4 Excellent
Pros: the place was lovely- clean, manicured. super adorable cats all over the place :) the food was amazing- the buffet breakfast and dinner were great. everyone working there was very kind and considerate.
Cons: two things i did not like at all 1) they spray some kind of toxic fumes every night to kill mosquitoes. it's horrible- when it gets sprayed a huge cloud overtakes the entire place and takes a good 20 minutes to settle. we would go in our room and put the towel on the floor to try to keep it out of our room but it would seep into the cracks. this is horrible and i wish they would not do it 2) the internet connection there was not good at all. we got it sometimes- but it was not reliable enough for anyone who has regular work to do that needs reliable internet.

Also nice to have free taxi fo pick you up from the train or bus station. I highly recommend for budget travelers. Thanks a lot.

Pros: First, I was upgraded to the gelzira garden hotel so my review is about that one (same owners, more luxury). The gelzira garden has a great staff and serves excellent breakfast(best so far..). Their dinner is good value and also excellent, there is a bar and a pool and everything is clean and in working order. Most importantly they really try to make their guests comfortable, so western style customer focus...
Cons: Nothing really

Cons: I'd like more help to visit the sites, they charged a lot for renting a taxi or a mini van, I could find good taxis for half the prize ofered at the hotel
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place to stay in Luxor at the wet bank. It was just a couple of minutes walk from the ferry station to cross to the east bank (5 EP) and the terrace had a nice view to the Nile. The room was clean and the breakfast was the best we had in Egypt. Stuff was super friendly and they even let us check in a bit earlier than the normal time. We would definitely stay again.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I was very pleasantly surprised as I booked this hotel last minute and I was so so happy I did. Yes the main entrance is hard to fiND but the back entrance leeds to the main street. The manager Karim greeted us and maDE us welcome. Nice clean room. One could argue that it is out of date ...however it had a separate bathroom, it was clean hot water nice big clean towels OK breakfast. 5 min's to boat crossing to East Bank. 5 LE boat crossing. The dinner at hotel 5 dollars!!! There are many cafes around....we went to Nile View Cafe and food was superb. BUT warning - prices that were in the menu are not what the owner tried to charge us. So a little advice - before ordering to confirm in writing what each dish will cost you and the cost of order...
Cons: Main entrance is really nice just pity it doesn't have an access to a main road but small village street.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean as the hilton but with a real egyptian experience! And the staff will help you day and night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Having stayed at this hotel was absolutely the greatest decision I could have made when visiting Luxor. The staff treated me as part of the family. Something I really liked about this place was how clean the room was, which is not easy to find in Egypt. The room was big, comfortable bed, clean bedding and very delicious breakfast. The hotel is really calm so I could rest properly. The service was five stars, I'm very grateful for all the help you gave me to find the best prices in tours. The area is really nice as there are stores and extremely beautiful view on the Nile close-by. Thank you for having made of my stay in Luxor the very best. I can't wait to go back and stay with you guys.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel at a great price, but what makes it is Mohammed who runs the hotel, he goes the extra mile to please...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and very friendly staff ) Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. I recomend this place.
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff is widely open to meet your requests and Mohamed help us in everything
Cons: The linen is the worse I’ve seen, the matras and sheets do not fit the size of the bed.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: It was on West bank and bus, train stations on the East. it was too difficult to use ferry every time. The breakfast was not good at all. The staff should show more friendliness and support in providing information to help the guests. I think, as I refused to accept his offer of tour trip as it was too expensive, after than he was disappointed and not willing to be more helpful.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Very nice hotel...very clean..and love the breakfast

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming and carrying family. I felt very safe and good treated. Even the fresh prepeared breakfast was nice. You get good Tea and can chat a lot with the Camp father Ahmed. It's a good and helping guy. Even in traveling further he calls you asking if everything is ok. The Camp is made in the Style which can be found at Dahab or other sides at the Red Sea coast. And it's the only one at Luxor. Easy to reach from the public ferry by foot. I had a sweet hut with big bed. The external restrooms and showers are very nice made and clean. In the yard you find the shelter with bench to sit protected from the sun. It's a good please where should spend your Luxor stay. Affordable and clean and with very friendly hosts and its kids. "Exactly!!" :)
Cons: Some tour booking procedures should be more clear. To have not the misunderstanding at the end. Even that fact that in beginning the price for additional things should be named. But this is in Egypt to be found everywhere. Money becomes a big issue caused by that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Al Salam Camp is a simple and pretty place to stay in a calm area on the west bank, close to the Nile. You have everything you need and are close to many ancient sites.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staying out if town close to the nile outdoor space is good nice place to relax, good shop just down the road and 5egp to cross the nile so still easily accessible.
Cons: All the touts selling boat rides and taxi service along the riverside, but that's luxor not al Salam camp
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent host, really welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Delicious food, and nice open area with cool fan for relaxing and socialising. Rooms simple but comfortable, bathrooms in decent condition and everything works.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ahmed was the friendliest person I met my entire trip, so incredibly caring and a wonderful chef. He organized a balloon trip at a much discounted rate than what I had originally booked for, cooked delicious dinners several nights, and was always on property making sure myself and everyone staying there was happy. The camp has a great view of The Nile, plus is secluded enough that you easily forget about all the tourists in Luxor. The cabins felt very safe, and the wifi worked well my entire stay. A wonderful place I’m happy to have found.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole family isisrael very friendly, they help you arrange trips and gave me a lot of information about Egypt. Al Salam is a place where you can really feal like home. :)

Pros: Price was good as was the location. I enjoyed the pool after a hot day’s sight seeing and breakfast was substantial
Cons: The room could have been cleaner
4.6 Okay

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amina was amazing. She provided information and insight not available in any guidebook. This was the secret of our success on this trip. We were able to navigate the local customs in order to experience our desired destinations with a minimum of hassle. Her presence is a treasure at the Steigenberger, taking the establishment from good to great. The breakfast was amazing. It provided sufficient variety to expose us to many types of Egyptian cuisine. The abundance of options meant we had no need to refuel during our adventures until evening. Try the honeydew melon juice. The multiple restaurants within the hotel grounds provided convenient, high quality options.
Cons: The refrigerator could have been larger, considering the amount of water necessary to drink.

Pros: After arriving and being welcomed to the Hotel I was escorted to my room by a lovely lady who gave me all the information I needed for a pleasant stay, also arranging a late checkout for me. All the staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and bright, fresh fruit greeted me on the table upon entering the room. coffee and tea making facilities were at my disposal. There is also a mini bar should you wish to use it, there are many shops, ATM etc nearby. The back of the hotel is on the Nile with boat trips available. The hotel has many facilities.
Cons: not a great view from my room.

Pros: Very helpful and cheerful staff. We got early breakfast as we had to step out earlier every day, that was very kind. The rooms were clean and had all the necessary facilities. The location is perfect as it is next to Karnak temple and there's a nice view of the Nile from outside the premises. Overall, I'd recommend staying at Rezeiky.
Cons: Would be nice if card payment was possible. And also, maybe the guests can be given a key to the gate outside- had to spend some time waiting outside for someone to open the door and let us in.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All & particularly the staff who is very accommodating, available and kind. The location is good & a good value for the price, especially with a swimming pool, you can’t have something better ! I recommend it especially for travelers without lot of money.
Cons: The bathroom is a little bit old for « european or american travelers ».
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The staff bent over backwards to be helpful and accommodating. The beds were comfortable and the room was a good size with en suite bathroom. Our private sitting area outside our room was wonderful. Nice touches eg kettle and cups and fridge in the room. Most reasonable prices. A fun trip.
Cons: Coffee was awful, I would have paid extra for good coffee. Also more hot breakfast options would have been good. A few late night disturbances robbed us of our sleep. Very few negatives.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The ambience, the location, the food and the kindness of the manager.
Cons: It's just perfect the way it is.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really a gem. It is a cheap place, but the local architecture is so charming and the staff are so friendly and efficient that you don't mind saving a buck or two. It is a bit isolated in a village on the West Bank, but that is part of the charm. It is walking distance to the temple at Medinat Habu, and walking distance in the other direction to the tiny, little-visited Isis temple at Deir El-Shelwit (although for both you need tickets from the central ticket office, which is a cab ride away). It is a bit isolated from many restaurants in a tiny Egyptian farming village – but that is part of the charm. The home-cooked meals offered for an extra fee in the evenings are good. Breakfast is very good.
Cons: The village dogs can be a bit unfriendly, particularly after dark. They never actually tried to bite us, but we were harassed by a pack of them on a very dark road and it was quite tense. I suggest bringing a stick just in case. We drove our own car, and the parking situation was a little challenging, because there is only one driveway, so you have to be a little careful about getting stuck behind another car.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent choice if you head to visit West Bank of Luxor. Very cool and authentic place with very helpful and friendly staff. Calm place far enough from urban noisiness. Great and affordable food and meals incl. very fresh breakfast. The place is situated a walk distance from many sites you are wishing to see. You can easily reach a lot of spectacular Egyptian history. Personally, one of the best stay in Egypt.
Cons: There was not a pool or spa. But that is nothing what was expected :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our favourite hotel in Egypt! Beautiful bedrooms, super cosy beds with lovely warm quilts and gorgeous bed linen, lovely hot showers and stunning views over green fields. The staff were amazing, the food absolutely delicious, we felt totally at home and thoroughly well looked after. It was heavenly to sit on the roof and relax and feel at peace. We were so sad to leave and hope to return someday. Thank you so much to Abdu, both Mohammeds and the owner (Mustafa?), hope I've spelled all your names correctly.
Cons: Everything was absolutely perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Abdul is the best cook in Luxor- I wanted to take him home with me to cook for my family! The location is excellent,a short walk from Medinat habu and great coffee shops Lovely family atmosphere Very much enjoyed my stay
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Relaxed guest house near the West Bank sites with a family feel. The breakfast was good and the dinners are great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our favorite place in all of Egypt. The hotel was quiet, beautiful, original. The best food we had on our entire trip, thanks to Abdul, who is a great chef. We really felt like were were in Egypt at Nour El Balad. We are grateful we had the experience of staying in such a lovely space...and we got to know so much more about life in Luxor/Egypt. Wonderful staff! It was hard to leave!
Cons: NOTHING, it was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked everything. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable, with surfaces to put luggage and toiletries. Ahmed's breakfast of crepes, his marmalade, goat cheese and seasonal vegetables at dinner was enjoyed. Very generous portions at dinner at reasonable price. Walk from village and Medinat Habu took about 15 minutes. Wind storm suddenly arose and there was Mohammed, who taxied us to the guest house. Would love to return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Phenomenal! Just an oasis in the desert. The most comfortable beds in all of Egypt. A luxury stay at an absolute bargain. We unanimously agreed it's the best place we stayed!
Cons: The cooking, which was lauded in a number of reviews, is fine and convenient, but not fantastic.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Most hotels claim that they are home away from home, this hotel actually is. The staff is absolutely amazing and so welcoming. They made me feel at home every minute of my stay. Abdulradi's cooking skills are on point and he's always up for a chat. Mohammed's guiding skills and hospitality also go above and beyond of what you'd expect. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well taken care of, and the surroundings are picturesque. Very easy to get to major attractions from the hotel too. I will definitely come back. Thank you for a great stay!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely hotel just packed with history. The staff could not have been more helpful or kind; my room was perfect. I wish I could have stayed here longer to enjoy the gorgeous garden. Can’t comment on the restaurants, as the only meal I ate here was breakfast, which was absolutely fine. Hope to come back soon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An excellent hotel with a history. The location is perfect with a nice view on the river Nile and very close to the center. The hotel 'breathes' luxury and exclusivity. The hotel being a historic place adds to the experience. I love the old victorian style with the high ceilings and chandeliers. It also has a spacious and beautifull garden with an open air restaurant.
Cons: The old style might not be for everyones taste, and as a casual dresser I felt a bit out of place sometimes. But that didn't seem to bother the nice staff who treated me with all respect and great service. Also when looking at some details, (mainly on the oustside, drainpipes and elevator) there could be bit more attention to maintenance.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The region is not so good. When I walked outside to a nearby ATM, I was approached by a local guy trying to sell his boat trip. After I said I have no interest, he was just following me all the way and asking me for money. He only stopped when I was back to the hotel. Also be careful about the taxi in the region. We took a taxi to airport from the hotel and we agreed with the driver to pay 250 EGP. But we approached airport, he was about to drop us off at a gate that was 10min walk from the airport, and he insisted us to pay him 50 EGP more to drop us off at the airport. That was 10pm at night. Worried about safety we paid him 300EGP. That was not much money, but the experience was really bad.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simply wonderful! A transition to far more elegant times.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else. My room was $104 AUD. That wouldn't book me a hovel in Australia.
Cons: The lift is old school and very noisy when it stops and starts. Plus it has a swinging door that bangs. I had a room not far from lift and a large group checked in early morning so constant banging meant I had to stay up till 2 am while they all good sorted. I love that it is old, classic with history and great value but maybe a new elevator is in order, or maybe oil the existing one.

Pros: It is a magnificent hotel. It has a beautiful location. It has outstanding service.

Pros: The pool, silence, good value
Cons: The constant hassle from people outside the hotel trying to sell you services. They shouldn’t be allowed to stand there. Extremely annoying.

Pros: The location is great and the gardens feel like the perfect oasis from the chaotic streets outside. Good and abundant buffet breakfast. Staff were able to arrange taxi and train tickets.
Cons: Facilities in the room could use updating - TV didn’t work, minibar fridge was not cold, and slow on-off WiFi.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: I like the location of the hotel behind Luxor temple, near the boat station going to west bank, near the market and near to luxor train station. The balcony has a good view, you will take your breakfast in the balcony with a beautiful scenery in the morning (the hot air ballon in the west bank) , nile river and luxor temple.
Cons: No slippers in the room and sometimes no electricity for few minutes not only in the hotel but in luxor area because i experience also a brownout in McDonald while i’m taking my lunch (mcdo is near luxor temple)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location, helpful staff. Everything was good, clean and without any problems. Thank you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything there was to like: the location, the staff, the rooms, the breakfast. We liked the Al-Sahaby Lane restaurant in particular, which is property of the same owner. Very good food and honest prices. Two special thanks. First, to Mohamed H.K. who kept our room 201 always clean and surprised us with some creative towel “sculptures”. The second, to Mostafa from the reception who kindly arranged two breakfast boxes despite our early departure.
Cons: The wifi was very slow and sometimes did not work. If they fix that, the hotel would be perfect.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location very good. The staff were really kind and helpful. Amazing view from the rooftop.
Cons: Facilities of the room and the bathroom.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property was a great experience, exactly what you want to feel when traveling to see the ancient city of Thebes. The rooftop seating allows for a jaw dropping view of the Temple, Nile and the Mountains. I would stay here every time. They also organized great trips for us and the value was fantastic
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view from the rooftop to the Nile. Good food quality on the restaurant with a lot of typical dishes. The staff was great, in particular Mustafa (the receptionist), how was always available to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. Very comfortable room, good simple hotel but with everything you need. Location is perfect, could not be better. The roof terrace is probably the best part, beautiful place to chill, eat, have a drink, watch the sunset or sunrise. I would stay here again if I come back to Luxor. Staff are really nice and helpful. all of them especially Mostafa at the reception.
Cons: Zero complaints but if they had a swimming pool it would be really perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this hotel and the staff were excellent. The food at the cafe was very good and reasonably priced. Being so close to Luxor temple and the soul was a bonus!

6.3 Good
Pros: Nice reception area and rooms.
Cons: No sealed water bottles in the room or breakfast area. Basic breakfast. WiFi was not working. Tours arranged by the agent in the lobby were quite expensive and since WiFi was not working we had no option but to book with them.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location was great! But you get what you pay for. It felt dated and grimy. They beds needed to be replaced about 7 years ago. The pool was great, but they use the term “pool bar” very loosely. The bar and “pool bar” staff were fantastic, but the front desk staff could take some lessons. And the travel agents inside the hotel were a little too pushy starting the second we walked in the door, still holding our bags and tired from traveling all day.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location Breakfast
Cons: Not clean enough No WiFi in the rooms or charged for it
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is a great hotel to stay in when you're in Luxor. It has a swimming pool which is clean and well maintained. The room had all the necessary facilities and the bed was very comfortable. I booked it very well in advance and it's definitely worth more than what I paid for. The restaurant in the lobby served good food for a great price. Also, special thanks to the hotel for packing my breakfast since I was leaving early.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of
6.3 Good
Pros: Aly was the only person who communicated & helped us with all our needs.. We loved the sun rise &sun set scenery..
Cons: Food was ok, can be improved, & hotel should get a car for residents pick up & drop..
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the east bank, close to the ferry and at a walking distance to all touristic attractions on the east bank like the Luxor museum, the Karnak temple and the Luxor temple. It is also close to the tourists market. The staff is also nice and friendly.
Cons: The housekeeping staff were not very good and we felt like our room wasn't cleaned very well. The man also opened the door when we were inside the room without even knocking at the door and it was to ask us for a cigarette which made us feel uncomfortable.
7.1 Good
Pros: Swimming pool, reception, restaurant, lobby
Cons: Room 811 and 810, old furniture, it was not clean, the tap for cold water doesn‘t work
6.3 Good
Cons: You need to buy internet access and water.
7.5 Good
Pros: View of the Nile from our balcony . A typical Egyptian hotel, guest houses offer more personality and are more helpful and friendly . We booked for 4 but moved on after 3 as we had seen all we needed to see in Luxor.
Cons: Bedding was far too warm, just a top sheet with a cotton blanket would have been better. We were hassled constantly by taxi, boat, felucca, horse cart men from the moment we stepped out of the hotel. After 5 months of travel Luxor was the worst for been hassled.
