close to restaurants a long walk to metro, and very small rooms. the rooms toward the road are noisy from traffic outside.
Easy check in / check out. Location right acros the street from buss stop. Very expensive breakfast. And no decent dining in surrounding area.
They said room service was cancelled because it was not 'high season', at the beginning of August. They also told us breakfast room service was on, but the morning of our requested breakfast, we did not get it, and had to call and ask why. The woman said she was by herself at reception and could not bring us breakfast.
Value for money. Excellent hot chocolate at breakfast! Service at breakfast. Many items not replenished, even though very few people were eating so staff were clearly not rushed off their feet.
The Customer Service. They were really helpful and understanding. Couldn't have asked for better customer service in another country. The only thing we would recommend is to have a better selection of breakfast. They really didn't have too much. Other than that. It was great!!
Conveniant location for my days at a nearby exhibition. Poorly stocked bar
reasonably priced bathroom smelt of sewerage
The hotel is very smelly i got allergy from the smell, the room is small and the location is so far from the city and you have to walk more than 10 minutes to the train, but the bus is in from of the hotel. The whole hotel has a very bad smell from the carpet and the air condition was not working, i do not know how they allow that hotel to work because of the smell
The location is ok, between 2 metro. I like the hotel had its own parking. The room had everything for a short stay.
value and distance from city center breakfast not included and the location didnt have the best surrounding area
Proximity to the airport and shutle bus No minibar in the room
The room was very nice and large. The breakfast buffet was very good and the proximity to Orly was a real assett as it allowed us to have a relaxing time before a long flight
Convenient location Orly Airport Helpful staff Broken heating - too hot Room generally shabby
quick check-in, big rooms, fast elevators, poor breakfest, too expensive internet
The Concierge was extremely helpful, otherwise not up to the normal Hilton standard Cockroaches in the restaurant at breakfast, nasty stains on the couches in the reception area! The faux wooden flooring in the bedrooms is very noisy. No refrigerator in the room.
Good romm. Good brekfeast.
It was clean and the staff were helpful. The menu was limited and the charges for the food, both in room and out, were outrageous.
Proximity to the airport. Shuttle bus Strong smell of tobacco in my non smoking room. Very overpriced room!!!
Location is convenient if you need to stay close to the airport. That was within walking distance from terminal, what really was helpful due to taxi drivers strike that shut all transportation fro and to terminal. Not worth the value. The room was overheated and no way to cool it down. I couldn't sleep well waking up sweating. Staff admitted the problem but didn't even try to solve it. I general I can't really say that staff is unfriendly, but they are kind of distant? Don't really interested to help, it looks like they just don't care. Another example that they don't care about customer convenience is that You can't leave a luggage for safety between the checkout and time you need to leave for your flight.
The staff, Paying for Internet
A pair of bathroom slipper
Location The bedrooms are old (poorly furnished) an the bathroom is not of a 4star hotel.
The dinner buffet and the breakfast selection are quite excellent! I did think it was quite clean and I loved my room. I wish all the hotels I stayed at were as well-maintained as here. I spent so little time here I didn't notice anything that went negatively.
We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. The shuttle bus from the hotel runs frequently (every 20 minutes) and was quick. The hotel itself was amazing for the price - exceptionally clean and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were very happy with our stay at the Holiday Inn Orly.
near the airport with free shuttle service no porters and bell boys and front desk should tell guests that they must use room key for elevator use
The hotel is excellent but not good for the tourists who wants to go to paris centre because it cost you big money and time to move to paris centre.
Very clean, friendly staff, all staff spoke very good english.
a big variety of breakfast , people are friendly, helps you out if you need help, fridge was closed with key ( you have to pay for minibar ) / Tv channels was very less.
Check in and check out was fast, the shuttle bus was on time. Don't have much to say since I stayed only for 5 hours. The shuttle bus was a bit ahead of time when we arrived in the airport and was waiting for a pick-up to the hotel, so we missed one and had to wait for another 20 minutes.
proximity to airport.courteseous staff.
Shettle to the airport. Friendly staffs, hotel quiet, Room clean and large. The room was fairly cold when arriving, did not have time to check if the heating system was on or off, same thing with the bathroom.
Breakfast was delicious Be pulled to secure the value of the room and not taken it back only after two weeks means twice the amount
Room, shuttle service was excellent, staff elevators frequently out of service
Just stayed in the Best Western. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious, nice and comfortable. The hotel has a shuttle which takes 7 minutes to the terminal from 5 am to 11:30 pm. The hotel is in need of some remodeling, but overall nice. The staff were friendly. I stayed before at a different hotel in the area that received a much higher rating but liked the Best Western much better. It is mostly for business. The hotel can use some remodeling, the corridors feel dark with poor lighting.
Brand-new and very well designed hotel. Very clean. Very helpful staff. Free access to movies and entertainment via the provided Suite Box. The windows were sound-proof for street noise but not really for the railway noises that were just below our room (western side). Prefer the eastern side if you stay there or take the highest possible floor (9 floors). The room itself was very well designed for a couple but a bit too small for 3 adults. In particular this cannot be considered as an apartment as the kitchen area was too small with no cutlery, plates or any cooking instrument. The internet access was buggy and slow (advertised as high speed internet access)
yes, a short business stay no
Most of the staff were very friendly and thoughtful. We liked the fact that the hotel was pet friendly.A perfect hotel for stop overs on a long journey. The room temperature was good, not hot and stuffy like some hotels can be. The pillows were a bit uncomfortable.
Internet doesn' t work
The Key was delivered without the room number or any information. The bath room seems be inside of roullotte. Seems like a motel for speedy rooms. Car parking extremely expensive.
Rooms are clean and comfortable The staff wasn't helpfull. My car window is broken due to theft. I asked the receptionist for tape and plastic. They told me they don't have transparent plastic. That's ok. So I asked for some tape which I can take away. Because it's was sunday and all shops are closed. She still refuse to give me that plastic tape to take away even If I pay for it!!!!!
The room have near 20mt and with one double bed and one sofa. They don't have free internet, like is show in booking. The staff don't speak english only french.
Nothing I found the staff to be extremely rude, the linen in the room smelt disgusting even after changing the linen it was still terrible, my pre-arrange tax service was always late causing us to almost miss our cruise dinner, my wake up call from the hotel was 30mins late, the food menu was terrible and the food was not great either & i would never reccommend this hotel to anyone.
Windows were open 1cm and nailed there! the room was on a main road where the noise did not abate and we couldn't close the windows!
The staff very friendly and the free internet in the room.
Kind hotel Staff, very good, wifi, a nice large clean room, well designed working desk. The location of Hotel is perfect for my purpose(business). It is an expensive hotel but you've got what you paid for, and I think with the same price you get a lot smaller room in the center of Paris usually.I also like the fact that they have smoking room as smokers tend to be discriminated more and more (and at the same time no smell of cigarette at all in the another area The water tmperature of bath and shower is set on 38 degree which wasn't hot enough for me and it can be colder but not hotter. Also the room temprature wasn't warm enough for me to work at night although it may be a good temperture to sleep. I tend to feel cold so for the most of people it would be ok, but I'd prefer to be able to make it warmer(there is a controller but I couldn't make it warmer at night time)
Clean, comfortable. We hear the sound of lift from our bed room all the time as it located next our room.
Perfect for short familly trip.
Staff welcoming, hotel clean and tidy and restraunt meal was excellent
It was good None
restaurant portions were very small for the cost. i think the neuvo quisine approach should be abandoned and larger portions offered.
Excellent check in staff and they were quick to resolve the issues concerning the 3rd bed in the room. Parking was affordable and easy, and the hotel is wonderfully near a metro station. Breakfast was a bit pricey but there are cafe Rooms are small for 3 beds but probably larger than most Paris hotels of this price. The extra bed initially provided was inadequate but quickly replaced.
Hotel was convenient for a festival we attended. Room very comfortable and plenty of space for a Parisian hotel (albeit non-central). Area quiet, parking on streets nearby a real plus.
While I only stayed 1 night, I found all of the staff very friendly and helpful I would reccommend the hotel to other business travellers No
Friendly stuff, nice hotel in general. At the beggining we were given room 407 with mold and a smell of it. But friendly stuff changed it for us for a clean one.
Incredibly friendly & efficient staff, helpful with directions and local knowledge No bad points
The hotel is very convenient for the event we were attending at Longchamp. Staff at reception are very helpful and all have good English. Rooms are clean and airy.
the hotel is modern and confortable; the staff very kind , helpful and efficient
good size balcony, free use of mini bar fridge, big coffee cups, seperate toilet/bathroom, cordless kettle
A very nice and comfortable hotel in the Paris Boulogne area. It was quiet and great for a good nights rest.
The hotel was new and facilities provided good Not really, Metro about 10 mins walk, but bus is outside.
Room, Price Charging me upfront, location
New facilities, not too far from Paris, in superb conditions for guests Open only for 3 weeks, the service lacks professionalism yet and information contradictory many times. No one told us ahead of time that the room will not be cleaned for the 3 nights of stay...and staff did not know about restaurants around. Big groups of students, teenagers, took control over the breakfast area for the 2-3 hours in the morning and hardly anyone could eat breakfast at that time
Large appartments with well equipped kitchen. Quiet place 15 min from the metro station Port d'Orleans. Good place to stay for a family.
We will recommend your hotel, because we think you have to learn of the things that people you tell. It is a learning process. breakfastroom is too small and they did not fill quickly the bread, cheese etc. and didnot clean quickly enough. They cannot see if there is something wrong in the parking. We stock there between two doors and nobody saw of heart us and no one took the telephone when we were calling for help. They didnot response at pressing on the red button in the garage.
The receptionist (Sabine) was very helpful and accommodating. Distance from the Metro
The place is nice and there was enough to eat for breakfast. €15 for the parking was not too much for Paris
value for money hotel with supermarket and bus stop nearby
The room was comfortable, large enough for family with 3 small children. There is Monoprix supermarket nearby, and halal restaurant just infront of the hotel, very practical. The kitchen was well equipped as well. Parking was a bit expensive (Euro 15 per day). But it was 60 Euro for one week. We stay for 5 days and end up paying 75 Euro. I was asking to have the parking for 1 week (so it'll be cheaper) but the receptionist coldly said it's impossible since i actually only stay for 5 days..:-(
the staff very friendly, the room very clean and comfortble a little far from the Metro
My overal experience was outstanding. We were treated with such kindness and respect and everyone went our of their way to help us with our questions and needs. The room was clean, modern, and nicely decorated. I especially loved that the hotel accomodiated my request to have an adjoining room with my colleague. The location was perfect as well. We found transportation easy to reach with the bus across the street and the metro just a 5 minute or so walk. It was close to restaurants, banks, and convienient shopping. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. It would have been nice to be closer to the center of Paris, but the metro and bus took us their quickly and for less than 2 Euro.
The employees' service at the front desk The check-in time is too late and the check-out time is too early.
The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the subway station and a 30 minutes ride by taxi to Orly Airport, you have many restaurants across the street plus a Mall to do your last minute shopping. The hotel has all the facilities and the staff is very helpfull, they upgraded our rooms to acommodate us.
courtesy and helpfulness of staff Having to request wash clothes at least 6 out of 9 nights from housekeeping. Didn't like having to feel we were imposing on housekeeping to get towels that we feel should have been in the room when we arrived and after we were staying.
Was in for New Year's Eve, left the following day. Room was booked at the last minute. I usually travel in hostels, but I have also been at some amazing hotels. Staff gave a very pleasant, both for check-in and check out. Rooms were clean and in order, beds was very comfortable. The price, especially considering the time of year, was very reasonable. Cons: internet was expensive. The hotel is close to a RER B Station and a walk away from Port D'Orleans (where I had my business for this trip), but you are out of the City. The location would be a hassle for most people looking to sightsee Paris, I think.
Staff were very helpful with good english, location good with Metro just outside. Bed comfortable and hotel situated in quiet one way road. For the centre of Paris very good value. Hotel was jaded and ragged around the edges with 70's decoration, although it was clean this gave it a bit of an untidy first impression.
It is very close to the underground (about 4 minutes walking!). The staff was great because I got there 1h30am and they didn't charge me any extra costs (I called before because my flight was late). The staff also speaks a good English. The decoration is poor. I didn't like the pillows, they were too hard. The heater was falling from the wall but it was still working. The major problem is, if you are arriving at night and expects to come by the underground (metro) from the airport CDG, don't take risks! The metro closes at midnight and the taxi from the airport to this hotel costs about 75 euros!
The service. The (bath)room are very dated. It would be better to renovate it.
Less than 3 min from metro station. Quality price relation excelent.
clean, nice, very close to the subway
Hotel is quite good for the price considering the location. It is in the walkable distance to the city center. Hotel is poorly furnished, not really clean and room was quite smelly (even the non-smoking one). Lock on the room door did not work.
Very friendly stuff and really close to the metro station. Reception opened 24 hours. Relatively comfortable beds. Although the room was tidy, the walls in the room and on the floors were murky. I guess it is a good value for money given its location, but not a place you want to take your girlfriend in Paris.
Location to subway. Single room very, very small. Size of a cruise ship's room and bathroom. Bed very soft and uncomfortabe. Hotel needs updating; rugs are very old and dirty looking.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It room had all the necessities--but no more. The bathroom is quite small, to the extent that I couldn't shut the door when I used it because I (or at least my feet) was in the bedroom as I used it, and the shower is a bit quirky. But, I was comfortable and clean during my stay and satisfied that I got my money's worth. Unfamiliar with Paris's geography, I booked this room expecting it to be closer to the heart of the city than it was. That was my mistake, not the hotels, but it meant that I was walking much further each day than I had planned. Also, my room was on the ground floor, which made it quite loud through the evening as passers by and trucks could be heard throughout the evening. This problem is easily countered by using ear plugs or playing white noise on a computer.
very close to expo center 10 min walking. 1 min from meto station .
enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel, well other than the bathroom. enjoyed the location of the hotel to a metro line, only about a 2 min walk. also enjoyed the public parking, not as described on website, but it was across the street and it was free on weekends! so we didn't pay for parking at all! neighborhood at first looked sketchy but turned out to be a safe place! and it was me and my husband, my parents and our toddler, so we were very satisfied with the hotel! we even stayed an extra night! will definately recommend and we this is now our hotel of choice! there was black mold on our bathroom ceiling, that could have been cleaned up. the beds were not the most comfortable, but the room was adequate for our stay and even fit a play yard for our toddler. the breakfast, even though its a typical french breakfast, was a little pricey. 7euro, not bad, but you can get a better deal if you just hop on the metro and do it yourself. did not like how they advertise parking on the website but must make reservation, once we got there it was public parking, luckily we were pleasantly surprised it was free on the weekends! especially since we checked in pretty late.
I did not like the fact that they charge the credit card immediately upon booking which was totally wrong in spite of their conditions. I did not like the fact that they do not allocate rooms as per your requirements but as you arrive so we ended up having a smoking room when I had required a non-smoking. For the price we paid we had more facilities in other hotels than the Mercure.
It was close to the festival site which made the event even more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
great food small, old rooms twin beds renovation going on (paint fumes, dust, etc.)
after reading 1 poor review I was apprehensive but need not have worried as I could not fault the staff or the hotel or the breakfasts. All were excellent. The friendly efficient staff in all departments.
Clean, comfortable, modern, close to Metro, restaurants and shops. Some staff need to be a little less rude and agro. Some extra english language channels on TV would. Wine glasses and a corkscrew in the room would be good - you are in France after all and a glass of wine or two is mandatory. Room service was a little flaky (breakfast included croissants and pastries on day one and dry, stale bread by day four for the same order).
A good, clean hotel with friendly staff at a good location
very overpriced for a fairly basic hotel - especially compared to similar priced hotels nearby
Hotel is situated in a quiet residential area of Paris yet has a number of restaurants nearby and train and Metro services are a short walk away. A number of local bars and restaurants unfortunately close for the weekend.
Good hotel for business. Metro not to far but long way from City centre and train station. Additional charge for Internet and extra for VPN capability, in this day and age Internet should be included at no extra charge.
Friendly and helpful staff Breakfast price was high for what was on offer
Clean, Good location, Bathroom, Bar, Breakfast, Lobby area.
Near metrostation. Dirty. Horrible plastic sheets, you hear every foot steps in to your room.
friendly hotel staff gave me the key to the communal parking shower broken, no light on stairs, tatty interior, chewing gum on the bed
Continental breakfast was very good with lots of selection Rooms are very small
quite and close to metro they need better pillows and just needs a fresh coat of paint
The hotel is situated at a quiet neighborhood. I would say it is ideal for business, where not too much insight is given into quality. For the price, this is expected. The rooms are maybe a bit small, with the bathroom definitely being tiny. But it is just walking distance from the metro, which was a big asset.
Not much... The front desk staff was ridiculously unfriendly, no help whatsoever with phone calls, transportation or internet help. The only good thing was the beds were fairly comfortable for someone to hang their hat. Staff, except for the cleaning ladies, bathroom had a awful mildew smell... Rooms were too small but again served the purpose well. Continental breakfast was not worth the 7 euros. But overall enjoyed the whole trip to Paris!
The staff were friendly. This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in. The room was dirty and dated. There was chewing gum stuck to the bedside locker. The bed could only be accessed from one side even though I booked a double.. There was just one towel, 2 small pillows and they didnt have more pillows when asked. I complained about the quality of the room and the receptionist said that he could do nothing about it.
near to the metro station, peaceful place, quite clean the stairs were too narrow, was hard to carry our big luaggages and there was only one receptionist that spoke english fluently
helpful staff, and close to metro Stairs are so narrow , even to carry your big bag is dangeorus. Elevator necessary.
For a business trip I needed to be in Velizy. I booked this hotel at a very cheap rate so didnt have high expectations but I enjoyed my stay. Normal 3 star hotel but the staff was excellent and very helpfull.
nothing it was appalling the service was not up to standard, the carpet in the room was wet no one could help or wanted too
Wheel at each corner business hotel. Nothing missing but nothing special about it either.
1-they provided free tranportation to near places with the Hotel Shuttles 2-there's a nice Dinner in the Ground level which can be helpful after a late night work 1-staff where not as professional as it should be we got some mixed feedback on some topics
Provided adequate accomodation for this trip. Arrived late on first night and was not able to get any food from the bar (or restaurant which was closed). Staff were not able to suggest any options in the area.
