dark hallways in second floor. The front desk concealed my credit card until next day. The room had a strong smell of recent painting. Is didn’t healthy. NEIGHBORHOOD WAS A LITTLE SKETCHY BUT SECURITY WAS NICE. NEED TO SPELL OUT IN THE ABOUT: shuttle only 8-8 PM. Main reason we booked was because there was a shuttle, and we couldn’t even use. Majority of Nicaragua flights are super late/early; so shuttle is useless. Please state that in the about section; or offer a paid shuttle. Thankfully, a kind staff member helped us get a very inexpensive taxi. One staff member tried to tell us it would be $20 USD to travel 4 KM to the airport. That was ridiculous. The bed was somewhat hard, and the sheets were a little too thin. Our stay at this hotel was a nightmare! The staff seemed to have a talent for unfriendliness, and horror struck when we discovered insects/worms crawling in our bed, forcing us to beg for a room change. To top it off, our windowless room felt like a claustrophobic dungeon, and the grime and dirt everywhere only added to the horror movie ambiance. Never again! The bed 'linens' are made of plastic, which we've never seen before, and were weird to sleep on. Our suite had a jacuzzi tub you can't use because it has a hole, so won't hold water. You can't walk anywhere out of the grounds, it is a very dirty and unsafe area. Location isn’t the nicest but it’s very useful for the airport. I had to pay extra for a fried eggs, that’s just ridiculous. I ask for a room with blowdryer and they just ignore me and gave me what ever. I wanted to wash the clothes its a service that they Do but really expensive for each pieces. Very noisy, air conditioning not working properly. Amenities were not what I expected. The internet connection was bad. My parents stayed above the main office and could not connect and I stayed in one of the very last rooms and the connection was almost non-existent. People up all night in car park drinking and noisy. Security did nothing. Not great for an airport hotel where people are trying to sleep between flights. Lobby staff could be a little bit more kind. There's no fridge on the room. Drinkable water was not available at the room, you had it to requested on the lobby and wait until they send it to the room and towels for the pool as well, so you gotta wait around 15 minutes until they bring it to your room. WiFi was not given until we asked on the lobby. Room didn’t have a balcony, minibar and the jacuzzi was dirty. Had a ground level room. Was woken up by other loud guests — cars parked right outside the room (think motel) - was better than a 50 dollar room elsewhere but was not quiet. Also, on the flight path… so there’s that. The pool did not have good steps into the pool, they were too low in the water. Once I stepped down, I knew I would not be able to get out of the pool because I am short and I have arthritis in my knee. My husband pulled me up but I almost slipped backwards. I felt this was not safe. No shuttle after 8pm or before 8am. Lots of flights arrive after 8pm, including a major connection that is always full, so that's a real inconvenience.
